~ Chicken Cacciatore on Monday ~

Very quiet chat time Monday morning, a bit of IM with Sigi, Swamp Dog was in Kichen Chat a short time
Finished my BLOG such as it was, morning routine and then off to Gomer's for a Jug of Vino Tinto
And then what? I got the idea for summa Chickena Cacciatori again, haven't done that for a long time
Usually my Chicken and Sauce dish has been Arroz con Pollo lately, and been some time since that
So I put out a nice big Roasted Chicken Breast to thaw out whle I made the sauce
Maybe play a little of that Funiculi Funicula to get me in the mood for Italiana food
Then chop up an Onion, some Garlic, some Celery, maybe a small Jalapeno Pepper for some zing?
Saute up the Veggies some in Olive Oil first and then add in the Tomato Sauce
Not quite the exact Italian recipe for Cacciatore but I take liberties with recipes

So I let that Sauce and Chicken simmer quite awhile, later put on some Spaghetti to boil
And then for dinner dumped the Spaghetti in the Sauce, then heaped on a plate and the Chicken on top
Sprinkled that liberally with Shredded Parmesan Cheese and had at it... Hah...Some pretty good Sketti!
You can't see in this photo but there is a big hunk of Chicken under that Cheese and Sauce on that plate
And what else? Well, I did make another Slide Show, an easy one, the Farmer's Market here a few years ago
I got some nice pics back then but I want to do it again with my new Canon DSLR 7D...
And make another Video with my new Panasonic AVCCAM Video Camera
And I took a walk up the hill in the afternoon to get the mail, no mail, hadn't been there yet
On the way back saw this in the Parking area, not CONVENIENT for me to have to watch opening the door
Even parking to the right side of my parking spot, I still have to watch when I open my door
~ This Parking Situation Make Sense to Anybody? ~
Why? There is a little defect in the pavement making a dent and he likes to park in that cavity
Personally I would park in the very center of my spot, I had no problem parking any of my 11 Cycles... anywhere
And Oh... bye the bye, you can see in that photo how water is diverted by that defect right under my car door
And sometimes it freezes there and the only slick spot is right under my left door
And some time ago I told Boss Bob about it, he says he'll try to fix it when the weather warms up...
So there too!
And on into the day and night, nothing planned today but they say my Income Tax refund will be deposited tomorrow
And of course that Nice IBM check will hit the bank by morning also....

Looks like the Slide shows are multiplying like the web pages, finish one, then get an idea for another
Well, it is so easy except making all the pics the same pixel size, just one pixel off leaves a white line
Anyway it's kinda fun and the result is quite efficient in showing several photos without running down the page
And now, again, two long days til pay day, looking for March when I get my Blazer paid off
Then I might have enough money left over to make it all the way through the month for a change
But now the Medical bills are slipping in more often, that insurance sure doesn't pay it all
So, what on Sunday, long long day but I got involved in Photos again and kept busy all morning
Three of the ones that took the longest was my Coat of Arms three, adding that border and resizing
More to making those that it seems at first. using 'layers' in my Paint.NET program
So yesterday I made four more, the Carnival, Trees out front changing color and the Deer in my back yard
And then of course those Coats of Arms changes
No cooking projects, still have Chili and Enchiladas and Burrito makings as well as more stuff in the freezer
So I just settled for a nice fat Chili Burrito, that did the job quite well
Finished off the day with a nice Dish of that Monday Nut Football Ice Cream again

Well my BLOG written, morning routine, scratchers bought and discarded.... Then What?
How about making some more slide shows, those are some fun, made four more, thirteen total so far
And no end in site, I have 10,000 photos to play with...
I was on IM with Sigi, showed him my two latest, Gardens and Parties, I asked where was his Slide Show
Well I says ... "I know where it is" and had this one made about 15 minutes later

And then I made one more, me customizing my Big Blue Van with help from friends
So I have a couple more waiting to show on here whenever
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
So then what? Long day, tired of photo editing, what's for dinner?
Well I had some frozen Beef Patties in the freezer and a big Green Pepper in the fridge
How about a Stuffed Pepper then.. and some Mashed Taters?
So I split in half and seeded that big Pepper... put in a pot to parboil some
And I defrosted a couple Burgers, chopped them up fine, chopped about half an Onion
Then I mixed the Burger and Onions together, stirred in some some Enchilada Sauce instead of Ketchup
Then I stuffed the two halves of that pepper and into the oven for 45 minute or so
~ Pepper Hot out of the Oven ~ With a Dollop of Mashed Taters with butter ~
Then boiled up a couple Potatoes, mashed them up good, served up a hunk with a Pepper... Some Good!
And that was about all she wrote for Saturday, now a long boring Sunday ahead

Friday morning, wrote my BLOG, then finished editing those 177 Slide Copies
Then I made another Slide Show with a few of the Canoe photos, fast and easy to do with Photoscape
The slow part is editing the photos and making all of them the same size
Otherwise you have white areas around the edges, doesn't look so good
After that my morning routine and then headed out to the Price Chopper, needed a few things
Got my Aspirin, TP and Milk and a Bingo, Crossword and Diamond Mine with my $10 winner from yesterday
Picked up the mail on the way back, had my new Renter's Insurance Policy statement
Worked a $6 winner Diamond Mine, traded that at the Price Chopper for two more
Then headed around the corner to my Insurance Agent, a question on the new policy charge
She answered my question satisfactorily, I get my new Renter's policy for less than $5 a month!
Alone the policy is about $15 a month but I get a discount having my Auto policy with them too
Now I have all my Tech Toys insured, been putting that off, couldn't remember to get that insurance
Then on into the afternoon, the big question of the day... What's for dinner?
Well, I had Beef Chili in the freezer, Shredded Co-Jack Cheese and Corn Tortillas in the Fridge
And Onions on the table... How about Enchiladas... But I need Sauce... Back to the Chopper

So that was easy, except for the messy rolling up
Chopped up a half an Onion, mixed it in with the Co-Jack Cheese
Hotted up eight Corn Tortillas in oil one at a time, dipped them in Enchilada sauce
Filled then with Cheese and Onions and rolled up and into my Pyrex dish
Then covered with Beef Chili, some more Co-Jack on top and into the oven for half an hour
And wasn't that a dandy Dish to set before the King!

Off to the Circle K for my Scratchers... won a $10 Bingo, traded that for $4 cash and two duds
So, the morning routine and runaround complete, then the to Project of the day
I set up the slide projector, screen and my DSLR on a tripod like the photo yesterday (below)
Then dug out five slide trays of slides with most all my Canoe pics on them
And then worked my way through copying 177 photos of my Canoe Trips down the Missouri River
That didn't take all that much time, but then I started on the longer process of editing every shot
Changing the file size, touching up the brightness, contrast, color and whatever each shot needed
So I worked on that until Cocktail time about 2 p.m. Got many done but I still have a lot to go
I'll then sort out the ones of me to make a slide show, the rest I'll use to update my Canoe Web Page
And then on into the afternoon laying out a Burger and Bun for later
Pouring a glass of Vino Tinto and catching up with the TV News
And that was just about all she wrote for Thursday... Now where is that Income Tax Refund check anyway?

Well now, foggy out there this morning, looks a little spooky, but they got the Street light fixed Tuesday

Made my Mail, Scratcher and Price Chopper run first thing, won a $6 Crossword, went back to trade for two losers
And then what? Well not a thing on the Agenda, what can I write about, maybe have to start putting Cat pics on Facebook
Well, my BLOG may be boring but at least what I put on Facebook is Original and what I do, not copied off the Net
So, morning run finished... what now... How about some more slide shows, that's kinda fun
So far I have made six, Parkville, Nature Sanctuary, Van Club, Air Force, Album of Me and yesterday, Kansas City (on here)
So then I started on one of some of my Canoe Trips down the Missouri River
But those photos I have are copied from projected 35mm slides and I think I can get better images with my new Camera
So that may be the project for today if I can get in the mood, it is a tedious process

Well now, a good start for Tuesday, headed to Circle K for a Bingo and Crossword
Scratched off the Crossword for a DUD, the Bingo won a nice $53!
Then back to the Price Chopper to trade for a couple more plus $47 Cash... Nice!
Won back more than I lost at the Casino last time, ahead there for the month now
Then I got my Prescript Cipro at the Chopper Pharmacy, Back to scratch off two more DUDS

And then into a long, long day and long, long afternoon, takes forever to get to meeting time
I had either a late lunch or an early dinner because of the meeting... and wanted my Mahattan to wear off
If I have a glass of wine after my Manhattan and then lunch, I get too sleepy to stay up
But the afternoon wore off finally and I packed up my Camera and Computer and headed out
And I was the first one there,, several more showed up by Meeting time and finally Jim got the door open, in we went
~ January Nature Sanctuary Meeting ~ Jim Reed back as Director ~
I took two photos, wanted to get both sides of the Meeting table, head on anyway, most of the real Regulars showed up
And Bob Fluchel resigned as Director but was at the meeting as a Board Member, Jim Reed was back at the helm
So the Sanctuary is rather loosely composed, we are called 'Committee Members' or 'Board Members', whatever
Actually just a group of Volunteers joined to help out at the Nature Sanctuary
So Jim explained the new new plans for activities and maintenance, less physical work for the Committee and Director
More help from the City on trail work, mainly the Committee would conduct special events amd Volunteer Groups
I asked the Director to keep me updated on the new Event Schedule so I could update the Web Page
I need to change a few Sanctuary Web Pages now as all events last year are still posted there
So a pleasant meeting was had by all, adjourned about 8:30 and I headed home
And not ready to sack out yet, mixed a Manhattan and flipped on the TV, later a Chili Burrito and glass of wine
And I kept interested in the TV enough this time to stay up til 10:30, a record lately for me
But still woke up right at 5 a.m. to get my day started, and what is it going to be today?

Another non eventful day on Monday, just a couple of DUD scratcher tickets
Played around trying to make a Video of me playing the keyboard, gave up in frustration
Didn't want to hear Sigi's criticism of the result anyway
No other project or cooking experiments, just put some Beef Stew on the stove to warm up
On to another just routine afternoon... same-o, same-o. When does March get here anyway?
I did make it up to Gomer's for another jug of my Vino Tinto, might last til pay day
I did get a call from the Doctor's office on my Voice Mail while I was out
Called back then to get the report of my CT Scan last Friday and it sounds OK
Kind of disappointed they didn't find anything much wrong, nothing in the area of the pain
They did say I have a Renal Cyst, well I knew that 10 years ago and they say it is harmless
Don't see how a Cyst in a Kidney could cause a pain in the lower abdomen anyway
But it does look like he thinks I might have an inflamation from infection in a Diverticuli
And he sent a prescription to the Price Chopper Pharmacy for the Anti-Biotic Cipro
So I'll run up there later to see what that does, not as bad as it was anyway since I started the Miralax
And then later, I got a call from Jim Reed, first Sanctuary meeting of the year at the Train Station
Would like to see me there he says, so I'll see if I can stay awake long enough to get there tonight

Well it started out quite a bit warmer but still was damp and chilly all day, starting in the high 30s today
Not much to report, the usual sally forth for Scratchers and then boredom
Won no Scratchers of note, a $4 and a $2, decided on a run to the Casino to try my new Celebrity Card
But I wasn't treated like a Celebrity and won no money, but I did play over an hour before losing it all
But then I did stop by the Riverside RED-X to trade in the $9 I had accumulated for three more losers
And I was out of Bourbon and Vermouth, so picked up a 1.75 liter of Old Crow and a .750 liter of Vermouth
Back home way too early then to face a long, long, very long day... time just dragged all afternoon
Mixed some Frijoles Refritos with Salsa and Shredded Co-Jack Cheese, nuked up nicely
Then settled in for a Netflix movie with Tortilla Chips and Dip and my Manhattan
And then later, more Roasted Chicken and side dishes for dinner
Then finished off the day with some of that Monday Nut Football Ice Cream... hmmm, not bad
~ But Now... Off to a New and Hopefully Better Day and Week ~

So Saturday morning and then Saturday all day... Starting out cold again though yesterday warmed up nicely
Got up late, about 5 a.m. Drank my Juice, wrote my BLOG, drank my coffee
Some chat with Sigi and a couple others... Then heard a knock at my door, guy upstairs
Said he wanted to tell me his truck was stolen that morning, don't know why I needed to know
He left it running to warm it up about 4:30 a.m. and someone ran off wth it
So then morning routine then off for the mail and my Scratchers at the Chopper
Got a Bingo and Crossword and 'MO LOTTO' an 'SHOW ME CASH' ticket to check tomorrow... Win a couple mil?
And in the mail was a Flyer from the Casino with a new Player's Card... Hah I am now a Celebrity!
They have 4 classes of Cards depending on how much you play, 10,000 to 30,000 points make you a 'Celebrity"
And with more comps the higher you go... Second Tier suits me fine

So then I scratched off a $10 Bingo win, nice start, back to the Circle K to trade and won a $6 Bingo
Back home, Hercules (upstairs) said a Park Ranger found his truck, Wheels and Tires gone
Windshield smashed, inside trashed... The word is, lock your car when you leave the key inside
But that is only the third theft I have heard in this Complex in the last 11 years
One a Motorcycle was stolen but that guy was in money troubles and we think had it arranged
And the other was when someone stole my spare Propane gas tank, now I have them locked together
And then down the hill to the Fast Stop to trade again for another Bingo And Crossword
This time only won a $3 Crossword, time to stop for the day and figure out some eats for later
Well, I figured a hunka Deli Fried Chicken but I wanted a Cucumber to go with it
Back to the Price Chopper for a nice Cucumber and some 'Monday Nut Football' Ice Cream on sale
Back home to peel and slice that cucumber into a nice Vinaigrette and then chill for dinner later
Nice crispy Cucumber slices with Oven warmed Deli Chicken and Tater Chips, a dish fit for a King!
Finished off Saturday with TV and the last dish of Rocky Road Ice Cream, next have to try that Monday Nut Football

So, I installed my new ink cartridge, printed my Free Lotto Coupon and headed out
Took it to the Service Counter for the gal to scan, wouldn't scan
She typed in the numbers, still would not register, oh well, only a $1 ticket anyway
So I got my Scratchers and headed toward the Candy stocks, loaded up with a few bags
Then over to the Nuts section, got a can of Cocktail Peanuts for TV munchies
So back to work my Scratcher duds and then got on IM with Sigi, bragging about my candy buys
I says "I bought a big bag of Jelly Beans"... He says "EW!"
I says "I bought a bag of Chocolate Covered Peanuts"... He likes Chocolate but he says "EW"
So then I says "I bought a bag of Chocolate Covered Raisins" and he says "EW"
Talk about 'Herr Negativity'... I don't know if I told him about my Cocktail Peanuts... Party Pooper!
So on to the day, just nothing going on, went back to the Chopper for $20 worth of $1 and $2 tickets
Sometimes I hit a good one that way but this time NUTHIN... except one $2 win on a $1 ticket
Back home to start thinking about 'What's for Dinner'...
So I set out a big Roasted Chicken Breast and a hunk of Dressing to thaw
On to the afternoon of TV and munchies, my Manhattan, then Carrot and Celery Sticks with a glass of Wine
To wind up the Festivities for the day, warmed up that Chicken and Dressing along with some buttered Corn
And finished the Day off watching more Boring TV with some Choco Raisins and Peanuts... Good stuff Sigi!

Headed out Thursday morning for the Mail then the Circle K again for my Scratchers
No mail, I took it out of the box Yesterday... Well I forget things now
Then on to the Circle K... got my Scratchers and headed back... HAH! $6 Bingo winner!
So I had my 1099-R online ready to print, decided to file my Income Tax Return
Couldn't get 'ESmart Tax' to work so I signed on to 'icanfile.com'
Had my 1099-R in one Window for reference and filled out my onlne tax form in another Window
Didn't have to print it out... Finished that and E-filed and IRS approved it right away
So I have a refund of about $115 coming back, will be in my bank in a couple days
HAH! Now I can head over to the Casino without going broke this month
Then the FED-X man showed up with my Black Ink Cartridge, well that can wait til later
Headed out to the Casino at 11:30 a.m.

Then slid back down, then back up, some good ones, got three Sevens three times but no magic 240 Credits ($20 Win)
And then I still had $44.75 in the machine when I hit two Sevens and a Five Times, yeah! 250 Credit win
That is a $62.50 win and I cashed out for $107.25 and headed for the exit, won back what I lost last time
And then dropped by the Riverside RED-X as usual after a win to trade my $6 Bingo win for two more losers
But this time no spare jug of wine, they raised it $3 a gallon, cheaper now at Gomers
So back home to mix my Manhattan to get on with the afternoon... (not bored all day Thursday Sigi)
And then more of that Guacamole with Tortilla chips, still fresh and tasty if not a bit spicer
Still later a Bean Burrito with Salsa and Cheese, finished off with some more Rocky Road Ice Cream
And all Missions Accomplished and a really nice lucky day overall

So, bright and sunny Wednesday Morning but COLD! 8F at 5 a.m. but going to 40 they say
Headed out for the Snail Mail and then to the Price Chopper for a Bingo and Crossword
Back at El Ranchito for a scratch win of a $3 Bingo and a $6 Crossword
And a Rewards Card in the mail from AT&T for $25... Well that will buy me some gas anyway
So back then to the Circle K for $25 worth of gas and a couple more scratchers...
No go on those, but going through a couple of losers, I found a discarded $3 winner... HAH!
Then checking the Fridge for 'what's for lunch' I was thinking of some Tortilla Chip Dip
Well I had Chili and Cheese for a dip in there and also some Frijoles Refritos
But I had seen Avocados on sale at the Chopper so what about some Guacamole Dip?
So, back to the Price Chopper for an Avocado and to trade that Bingo for another
Saw Boss Bob in the parking lot, he gave me a $1 Lotto ticket he forgot to cash
Says cash this and get another and I'll split the winnings, stay tuned for that Big Win
Back again... Started in on that Guacamole, popped the stuff out of the skin, mashed with a fork
Then chopped up a Jalapeno and some Onion, Salt and Pepper and stirred in some Lemon Juice
Chopped up a half a Tomato, hold that separate until the Guacamole is chilled then mix it in
Maybe a little Cumin in there when I add the tomatoes... All then into the Fridge
And then mixed my Manhattan and on to some afternoon catching up with the News and whatever
After that Manhattan, then some Tortilla Chips and that Guacomole Dip, tasty and not too spicy
Later I constructed a nice Beef Chili Burrito with Salsa and Co-Jack Cheese on top

Oh yeah, I ordered some Black Printer Ink yesterday, should be here today
I just got an E Mail from IBM saying I can print out my 1099R for my tax forms
Then I can get online and file my free Income Tax Return today! And then money back on the way!

Well now if that was a 'FUN' Trip, I would like to opt out of the next one
OK, it wasn't so bad... but... Why does everything at the Doc's Office have to have a Needle?
So, I headed back East on Tuesday Morning a little before 9 a.m. Appointment was at 9:15
Got there right at 9 a.m to show my ID cards and fill out their form... Ok wait now
Then here comes the girl with two paper cups of what? Tasted like real weak lemonade (or something)
She said drink all of the first cup, then almost all of the second one, said we will call you in an hour
An HOUR! I should have brought my kraptop computer again... and that was a LONG Hour!
Finally here she comes again... Come with me... First drink the rest of the Juice and then the IV
Well, I was hoping the Juice was instead of the IV for contrast but no, here comes the needle
Usually the lab people have no problem, like yesterday, just a quick little nip and gone
But no, I got one of those that couldn't find a vein, looked all over, both arms
Finally decided on the left where I got it yesterday, stuck it in but didn't hit a vein
Tried again a little deeper... Still no go, she went for help...
But then I got the gal that was going to do the procedure, she said lay down and we'll do it in here
So one little jab with NO hurt and away we went, first a little saline injection she says
Then she covered me with a blanket, says pull your pants below your knees and away we will go
And away we went, noises whirring and a phantom voice says "Breathe, Hold your Breath"
Then we took a ride in and then out of the machine, now it says "Breathe"
So, in and out maybe six times or so, and she says all finished, uplugged the IV
Then says pull up your pants and I'll see you outside the room... And that was Goodbye...
And then, around the corner to Radio Shack, my Car Key battery had gone dead and I bought another one
Next back a mile to Parkville and down the Hill to the Fast stop, traded the last $6 winner for two more
Back home at 11:30 a.m. to scratch off another $6 Diamond Mine and a $3 Bingo, still on a roll (slight one).. What's Next?

OK... hadn't had anything to eat all morning except juice and coffee
So I poured another glass of Cranberry juice and started on my BLOG (above) before I forgot the details
Then I heard the FED-X truck out front, my printer ink from HP
I thought only the Photo Black was empty so I installed that and tried to print my free lotto ticket
But it didn't work, now says I need the Colors and regular Black Cartridge, Oh Well
Well I had ordered the Color Multipack but I still need the Black, have to get one at Office Max I guess
So then... I mixed my afternoon Manhattan, settled in for the afternoon but then saw I was low on Vino Tinto
So, away we go to Gomer's for a Gallon, then across the road to Circle K to trade my winner scratchers
Traded in $9 worth of winners, scratched off only a winner $3... ah!
Back home then to finish out the afternoon, have some more Deli Chicken and Ice cream to finish the day

Well now, it is still Monday morning as I am writing this, all cleaned up at 7:40 a.m.
Ready to head out soon to see the Doc... Going to take my kraptop with me
Want to see if there is a Hot Spot available in tne Doctor's Office there
Anyway, will let me update my BLOG while I am waiting there as I always have to do
So now, heading out for my appointment... a little before 8 a.m.
OK, got to the Doc's office at 8:05... Checked in and then I fired up the kraptop
In the waiting room now and it says I got a great signal, a good Net Connection
So I talked on IM to Sigi and some guy in Pakistan before getting called
Then called into the Exam Room, now waiting for the Doc, Had my BP check and update already...
Just talked to Sigi here in the exam room, and he is still online so far
So as I always say... WHAT NOW? Knock, knock, here's the Doc
Well now, 9:02 a.m. Finished with the Doctor, wants Lab Work and a CT Scan
Waiting for the Lab work now... Waiting, waiting, and as usual, waiting
OK, 9:15 a.m. Got my needle poke, blood drawn, now waiting to check out
And a referral to someone else...Stay tuned
OK, referral to Tremont Imaging Center for Tuesday 9:15 a.m. for a CT Scan
Hah! In the lower level of this same building, so that's set for tomorrow (Tuesday)
And 9:30, all done and heading back to Parkville, stopped by the Circle K
Traded in my last $3 and $10 win for three $3 tickets and $4 cash
Back home at 9:40 a.m. Scratched off two DUDS and $10 Bingo, luck still with me, $5 profit for the day
And on into the day, all systems go so far... What Next?

Well then a late breakfast and back to the Price Chopper to trade my Winner $10
Bought a Bingo, Crossword, Diamond Mine and a $1 ticket, the #$1 ticket was a $2 winner
The Crossword and Diamond Mine a No Go but the Bingo was another $20 Winner... HOORAY!
Lessee profit for the day $5 and $12... hmmm, looks like $17, where is that BIG one?
Then back to the Price Chopper for another Crossword and Diamond mine and $12 cash
This time cashed in my $20, got two $3 tickets out of the machine, back home to scratch a $6 winner
And that was it for the morning, off into the afternoon routine...
I had planned a Chili Burrito for dinner later but then started thinking of a Burger instead
But with a slice of tomato and I didn't have any... Back to the Price Chopper
And I took my $6 winner with me, traded it fot two more, and won another $6 Diamond Mine
Then on to Produce, got a head of Lettuce, One big Tomato, a Green Pepper and a Cucumber
Then a Gallon of Milk and back home to peel that Cucumber, slice and into a Vinaigrette
Later constructed that Burger with Onion, Tomato slce and Mustard... Those Cukes were crisp and tasty
That about wound up the day, now this morning about 9 a.m. head over to try out the CT Scan and then what?

And so, Sunday Morning bright and early. off to the Circle K for my Scratchers
Well now, lookee there! $20 winner Bingo, how nice... Back to the Price Chopper
Well I needed Toothpaste and Pre-shave Lotion anyway, traded in that $20 Bingo
Bought my stuff and two more scratchers and still have more money than I started with
But then only scratched off a $3 Crossword, that ain't enuff to finance a Casino trip... Now What?
Well next I took that $3 to the Fast Stop to trade on a couple more... HAH!
I scratched off a $6 Diamond Mine and then a $15 Bingo, nice!
So I won a $3, $6, $15 and a $20 so far... Well counting the cost of the tickets, that's only a $26 profit
Still not enough to go to the Casino... Back to the Price Chopper to trade again
Traded for two more $3 tickets, won a $9 Diamond Mine... Well, can't quit now, back to the Circle K
Traded the $9 win for a Crossword and a Diamond Mine, and $3 cash, only won a $3 Crossword, time to quit
But I ended up with more money than I started with, and that is some fun (for me)
Well then, that took me a little past 11:00 a.m. Time to figure out some eats for later
So, scrounging around in the Freezer and Fridge, lotsa goodies but not much turned me on
What did I want? Well how about some of that Krispy Banquet fried Chicken?
Back to the Price Chopper for the Third time, traded in that last $3 winner for a a Bingo
Then got another Crossword out of the machine for another $3 cash
Next I got some red Radishes and a box of that Krispy Deli Deep Fried Chicken
Back home to mix an early Manhattan and worked those scratchers for a $3 Crossword win and a $10 Bingo win!
Nobody is gonna believe how many I won today... $3, $3, $3, $6, $9, $10, $15 and one $20 winner
I should have got pics... But who knew? I have won more money but never so many in one day
And that $10 Bingo win bought my Chicken and Radishes and $3 left over... How Sweet it Is!
Back to the kitchen to take a pic, then put a big hunka chicken in the oven and trim the radishes
Later had my Chicken, Tater Chips and Radishes and finished up the day with some Rocky Road Ice Cream
And now today, Monday, new day, new week and new adventures(I hope)...
First thing today that Doc Appointment at 8:15, have a two week list of BP readings for him
And the symptoms seem no better though the Miralax powder seems to be doing what it's supposed to
Well, he did mention maybe a CAT scan, that might be fun, HUH?
Oh Well... What will be... will be...

Saturday morning, quite a bit warmer...30 degrees at 5 a.m. Then Bright sun later
Headed out to get the mail... No goodies... Then to the Price Chopper for a couple things
Got some more Apple Juice and some Cranberry Juice... The Doc told me to try some Miralax powder
Have to mix it in liquid, don't like the taste in my Coffee, but can't taste it in Apple Juice
So I've been drinking that, got some more Apple and going to try Cranberry Juice
And of course a couple Scratchers that turned out to be the usual latest duds
And I got a Birthday Free Coupon from the Missouri Lottery I have to print out to use
But I am low on Photo Black Ink so I got online to HP to order that and a Multi-pack of colors
And then I was on IM with Sigi and griping nothing to do again...
Then thought of my poor little cactus about to fall over, Hah a winter Gardening Project!
Covered my Coffee Table with my Mexican blanket, set the Cactus on that and brought in a planter of soil
The whole project including the time for pictures didn't take more than 20 minutes...

Needed another project, but I couldn't think of any, just edit those pics and start on today's BLOG
Then TV and just thinking what's for dinner, found a Smoked Sausage and Bun
And a container of what? Looked like either BBQ Beans or chili, thawed it out and seemed to be both
Beans with diced meat, and lots of Mexican seasonings, I guess it was supposed to be Chili
Anyway, hotted up and with that Smoked Sausage made quite a nice winter day dinner
So that was about it for Saturday, now back in the same situation for Sunday... What to do?
Well, get a couple Scratchers and hope to win some Casino money... And what to cook today?

It was even colder on Friday, we haven't been to zero yet, but close... 8 degrees about 6 a.m. Friday
I let the Blazer warm up some before heading to the Price Chopper for a loser Bingo and Crossword
And then what? Bored at 10:30 again on a sunny but cold day... Started on my Second BLOG page for January, on tomorrow
But that didn't take long, just changed the background and a few links as usual
And then put out a container of Beef Stew to thaw for dinner, no cooking projects... Darn!
And after that fiasco at the Casino on Thursday, no money to waste on the Casino again
I just need some new interests... In these winter doldrums just not much going on
When you have been around quite a few years it seems you have seen and done everything
Even the new movies and TV shows just repeat mostly stuff that I have already seen
And now, nothing going on in the Nature Sanctuary, no events downtown, nothing growing in the garden
Well I do like to cook, that's fun for me, but my freezer is stuffed and no need for more
So the only action yesterday afternoon was to augment my Beef Stew, seemed mostly all beef
So I sliced a couple more carrots, couple stalks of celery, half a large onion
Simmered that awhile in chicken stock, then added it to the warmed up Beef Stew, now that did the trick
And that gave me the idea of trying some more Carne Guisado the next time I want stew
That's a Mexican twist on Beef Stew, a but more spice and no carrots or celery or tomatoes
But a few diced potatoes and onions and of course some hot chilies, really tasty in thick gravy
Anyway I finished off my day with a nice bowl of that augmented Beef Stew with a buttered biscuit, yeah
Now this morning, quite a bit warmer at 31 degrees at 4:15 a.m. Saying 44 today, much nicer than yesterday
But what can I find to do on what looks like a very long and boring day... Well stay tuned
