~ We are Running Out of August ~
~ And Labor Day BBQ Started Today! ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Pork Chops from Today until Labor Day ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Last Day of August and I am ready... And Pay Day on Thursday... HOORAY! I always run out of Money about this time
Another nice Day on the way they say... Cloudy but will top out at 80 Degrees and I sure like that
We have had some late August Weather that has treated the Garden Plants rather well, not as much watering needed

So the usual start on the Morning, a couple Photos of the new Peppers in my Aerogarden, finished my BLOG
Posted it to Facebook, got a couple of 'Likes'... a little Chat with Sigi... Then on Facebook I saw this Test below
So I was curious to what they could say and I hit the Button... and they sure got it right, just what I told Sigi and Kelly
'Be Happy and Optimistic and there will always be a Better Day Tomorrow'... Yeah!

~ A Facebook Analysis of Me ~ And they sure got it Right ~

And then... I got all of my Morning Routine done and headed out for Lottos, won back $10, back home to have a late Breakfast
And then headed to the 'Shear Palace' to get a 'Buzz Cut' again, KC Skin and Cancer Center is going to do some treatment on my Head
And it makes it easier for them and me to not have as much Hair to deal with... Half an hour later back at the Ranch

Time to go out and clean the Smoker Grill, fire it up and then lay out those big Chops on the Grill
Figured about two Hours or so in the Smoker... Then Check every Hour or so to see how it was doing

And so, the Chops into the Smoker about Noon, checked them around 1 p.m. Doing OK and I flipped them over
Smoking away until a little after 2 p.m. And they looked ready to me so out of the Smoker and onto the Plate

~ Pork Chops ready for Dinner ~

Then shutting down the Smoker out front, I saw the Girl next Door, her boy Friend was helping her to move out her things
So I toddled over to say Adios or whatever, then asked if they would like some BBQ right off the Grill
Why aure, I said I would wrap some up, back inside to select three nice Pork Chops for the two Sisters asd the Friend
Back out to present them with my parting Gift and wish Bon Voyage... I love to give my Goodies away as much as enjpy them myself

And it had been Cloudy most of the Day, then some hazy Sun peeked out, I took my Wine out front to sit and enjoy the Weather
And back inside to make some fresh Cole Slaw and put a Potato in the Oven to bake... Later wound up the Day with Dinner
Plated a Pork Chop and that buttered Baked Potato, dished up some Cole Slaw, one more Glass of Wine and back to the TV

So, a fine Day for my first Day of this long Labor Day Weekend, I sure do make these Holidays last awhile
Now, 5 a.m. on the first Day of September, time to start a new page with a new Theme... and away we go!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Wednesday already? Where did Tuesday go, well not very far as for something to do... nothing outside
Well yes, I did pick a little ripe Tomato from the Plant in the Pot out front on the way back in

And so, I was just catchimg up on the Computer stuff Tuesday Morning, Email and BLOG and whatever and -HE- called again
Kelly, my talkative Psycho Friend... He seems to need my texting contact... I so want to cut him off... but I do listen
I have tried to tell him so many times and he won't stop... Giving me medical advice, stuff to take
I take what the Doc says I need, not what the coo coos say is good for you... weird costly stuff that will poison you
Anyway I wasted most of the Morning listening to him, finally had to tell him I had to clean up amd go get my Lottos

Finally got in the shower, finished out my Morning and headed to the Fast Stop for my daily Lotto dose
Had planned which to buy there, I keep track of winners and losers... And I got two there there I though due to win
Then headed to the Minit Mart for the two others I was betting on... I spent $10 at each place, win $10 back from both places
So even up for the Day, still have that $20 worth to trade back today

And then.... Thinking of the last Summer Holiday coming up, need something to BBQ... That's the Holiday Law for me
Stopped in at the Price Chopper to look, didn't have anything exactly in mind, just what might attract my eye
Saw some nice big 'bone on' Pork Chops on a nice Sale, got a pack of Six... later dusted with BBQ Rub and into the fridge

~ Pork Chops to Smoke on Wednesday ~ BBQ Dry Rubbed to Marinate overnight in the Fridge ~

And then... SURPRIZE! The Key to the Parcel Locker that had my Printer Paper was laying in the front seat... HUH!
Now how did it get there? I did not reach in my Mail Box to get it last Tuesday... Maybe it was in between other Mail that day
And when I put the Mail in my Blazer the Key fell out onto the Driver Seat? Or, was it put in some other Mail Box...
And the Owner saw my Address and knew my Car and then dropped in the open Window? Darned if I know, anyway I have my Paper now

And so that was about it for a different kind of day on Tuesday, now the only plan for the Day is to smoke those Pork Chops
Hey Hey... BBQ on the Way! Today!

~ Am I Seeing Things again? ~ Another Figure in the Clouds ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And Tuesday Morning... on the way up the Hill out front... more beautiful Clouds... and WHAT'S THAT!
Just above the Apartment Complex I saw what looks like a head, I had to stop for another Photo
Then on to the Fast Stop and I saw two more on the way but I couldn't stop for them... I am just seeing things everywhere!
Well we have had a lot of those fluffy Clouds lately... Got my Lottos and headed back to scratch off a $25 Win...
Then to the Minit Mart to get some Gas and trade Lottos and won $35... Not a bad start for the Day

And I edited my latest boring Video... added some more subtitles and uploaded it to my Vimeo Video Site
Then Posted it to Facebook and also added it to this BLOG to bore Sigi again... He so much doesn't care for my Videos

And then a quick Trip out back to check the Veggies again, picked four More Cucumbers and a Red Mexibell out front
I took a Photo of the Pepper then chopped it up to add to my Cucumbers in Vinaigrette, adds a little pep to those

~ Mexibell Pepper from the Pot out Front ~ Cukes from the Beds out Back ~ Cukes and Peppers for Dinner ~

Then I got on my Paint.net Program and converted the Photo to 'Miguel Mexibell', Jeff Dunham ain't got nuthin on me!
Maybe he can add Miguel to his Puppet routine, ya spose?

~ Mi Amigo... Miguel Mexibell ~ (On a Stick) ~

I can't think of much more boring stuff from Tuesday... Oh yes, I did call the USPS Main Office to complain
She listened carefully and started a 'Case'... Like that is gong to get my stolen package delivered
At least they might bitch to the local Post Office who do need a good Bitching about the way they run things...

On to the Afternoon and a Manhattan, I had run out of Margarita makings, have to remedy that today (Tuesday)
I saw one of the Girls upstairs leaving, she told me how good the Pickles were I gave her... Want more? ...Sure
So later when I saw her pull in... I opened the Door, said wait a sec and got her another Jar
So far I have given away... Seven Pints that I can remember, I still have more than I can use for a Year

So on to the usual wind up for the Day... and now off to find my Fortune on Tuesday all over again

And as usual... no Plans for the moment... but... wait...

~ A Busy Inside Day on Sunday ~
~ And another Pleasant Visit from Pat ~

~ Second Planting of Mexibells Coming along Nicely ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And what a busy Day Sunday turned out to be... all Day and all Inside stuff, the new Video and the Visit from Pat
I just had the Blu-ray DVD burned about the time Pat showed up at 1:30 p.m. I wanted to show it to her
I want to upload the finished Video to my Vimeo Site but still want to do some editing and adding more Subtitles
Now Monday Morning, just writing Sunday's BLOG, I started doing some Video Editing first but got tired of it by 5:30 a.m.
So on to the BLOG if I can remember anything from that long busy Sunday...

I was still doing some Video re-editing when I heard Pat at the Door, I asked her in to my Computer Room
The Blu-ray DVD was ready but I showed her what else I was doing to add to the Video and how I did it
And got tired of that really quick and then on to the Visit... A 'Corona' Cervesa for her and a Margarita for me
And back to the TV to play my newly produced Video... Looked good but I could see where I need to add some things

Then I wanted to show her the Cloud Photo and all the figures I found in the Clouds, now up to five or six images
I started by mirroring the Photo on my Computer with my Phone but decided to go the Computers to find the people
I put the Photo on the two Dell Desktops so we could both study it closely, took her a few minutes to find a couple
Then with a few hints she found most of the images, and I found another one, how many now? What an imagination I have!

Then on to Game time, since we were at the Computers I put the same online Crossword on both Monitors
She worked one while I worked the other.. A Contest maybe? Well I am used to those Crosswords and did finish first

So, TV, Videos, Computers, Music, Games, what an interesting afternoon as the Day slipped by
Finally wrap up time, she said our Friend Dori, Sanctuary Volunteer, had tasted the Pickles I gave Pat after the last visit
Pat said that she really did like them so I gave Pat a Jar to give to Dori on her Birthday coming up soon
Then a Jar of Bread and Butter Pickles and a Jar of the new Dills and a Jar of my new Pepper Relish for Pat
I sacked up the Goodies, then she took them out to her truck and I toted out the Blu-ray Disc Player she wanted
And she headed up the Hill to Home after a very pleasant Afternoon at my Ranchito Pequeno with my Tech Toys

And on to Dinner and TV... and more 'Andre Rieu' Music to finish out the Day... Well Sigi, I like the stuff he plays
And now... 6 a.m. Sunday (I got up early) and on to another New Day and Week... Off we go...

~ Two More Dinky Tomatoes from the Plant in the Pot ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Saturday Morning looking good, starting out at at 70 Degrees at 8 a.m. but going to the high 80s later
Busy on and off all Day on Friday... No plans for Saturday (yet)... Need to call Amazon to gripe about the Post Office
Looks like the Postman put the Key to the Parcel Box in the wrong Mailbox and someone got my Package
Made three trips to the Postoffice... they can do NOTHING but waste my time, I know the Postman put the Key in the wrong Box
I checked Amazon online Wednesday, the Tracker said the Package was left in a Parcel Locker on Tuesday
They put a Key your Mailbox when they do that... So I trotted up the Hill to look, no key on my Mailbox
Headed to the Post Office, told them my Problem, Guy asked if I had a Tracking Number, yeah at Home on the Computer
So back Home to get that, gave it to them, they said a Supervisor would check, back then to see the Postman at the Boxes
I told him my Problem, he checked all the other Boxes... No Key, then he said he thought he left it my Door Tuesday
I was Home all Day, he said he knocked... I heard nothing and there was no Package... I still think he put the Key in the wrong Box

And then Saturday Morning I checked out back for a look at the Crops after that heavy Rain Friday, they looked good
Nothing ready to pick then but looks like a nice Cucumber will be ready on Sunday, then got two little Tomatoes out front

And then on to thre rest of Saturday. I needed a couple items at Walmart so I tooled over there
Got my goodies and headed back, stopping on the way back for my Lottos, and a no go Day for them for sure
Then back with no plans at all for the rest of the Day... I got a call from my friend Patricia, said she would visit Sunday

Well, no Gardening needed, no Cooking experiments, what to do? Then an Idea... Make another Video, well mostly a 'still' Video
I had a lot of Photos of moving the Garden Beds and Soil from up high on the Hill down to the center of the Yard
So I started on that and it took a lot of collecting the Photos from a couple of Internet Web Files I have
And they were of all different sizes so I had to resize then all to fit the Video Frame of 1920 x 1080p for the Video
Finally gave that up for my Afternoon Margarita, TV and later Dinner, then on to Sunday Morning

Now Sunday at 1 p.m. and hadn't posted this Sunday BLOG yet... but It's on the way at a little after 1 p.m.
I started back on the Video early, finished resizing all the Photos, then Edited the Video on my Sony Vegas Program
Added an Intro, Titles and Sub Titles and music and then burned a Blu-ray DVD... Had a look at it on my TV
And it looked OK, but wanted to add a few more Subtitles before uploading it to my Vimeo Video Site

Now expecting a Visit from Pat about 1:30 p.m. Wanted that DVD to show her the latest Video on the TV
So now, post this harrangue to Facebook and then edit the Video some more to upload later

~ Another Garden Plant Moving Project ~
~ Replanted Garden 7 with more Jalapenos ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ The New Aero Lineup Friday ~ Jalapenos ~ Jalapenos ~ Mexibells ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Friday Morning at 8 a.m. Says 70 Degrees and only going to 80... Hey! My kind of Weather... but cloudy they say
Just posted Thursday's busy times BLOG and had an Idea for another Garden Project already
I had picked all the Peppers off that remaining Poblano Pepper in AeroGarden 7... And not many Blooms on there afterward
It couldn't grow any taller either as the Grow Light was at it's highest reach... So... Move it outside
But It wasn't worth buying a new Pot and a bag of Potting Soil after it had it's biggest Crop so far
And so, maybe I could find a spot in one of the Garden Beds out back, so another Project... for Friday maybe?
Then another empty AeroGarden... and I have more Jalapeno seeds, so more Jalapenos to plant in AeroGarden 7

Out then... into the Morn's early light to find a place for my Poblano Pepper, looked like the Tomato Bed
Two of the Golden Harvest Tomato plants I moved out there were giving up, one looked like it's still trying
So I pulled up the two failing Plants, dug a deep hole for the Roots of the Poblano Pepper, back inside then
Pulled the Pod from the AeroGarden carefully pulling the Roots through the hole in the Grow Bowl, a lot of them
Then took the Pepper Plant out back, set it in the hole, packed the Soil around it, then tied the Stems to the Cage
The Soil was nice and moist and the Temp was to be moderate for the Day, maybe it would be OK for the Pepper Plant

~ Last Look at the Poblano Inside ~ Out Back in the Tomato Bed Friday Morning~

And while I was back there, I took a look at the Radishes after Five Days... and were looking good
I got a Photo and then thinned them out some... This Crop so far looks better than the First one in Spring

~ Radishes looking Good Friday ~

Back inside... Aerogarden 7 then empty, had to fix that, I saved the Pods from the Tomatoes I pulled out of the Back Garden
Cleaned the pods out ready to plant again... Got out two new 'Grow Sponges', planted three Jalapeno Seeds in each one
Dumped out the old Water from the Grow Bowl, refilled it with fresh Water and Nutrient, popped in the Seed Pods
And then reset the Control for the new Crop and away we went, how many times have I done this now since last December?

So that was pretty much the Gardening for Friday, off to a slow afternoon then... Tv and whaever
I had just about finished my Afternoon Margarita when the Sky darkened and the Rains came... and I mean a deluge!
And it kept on raining for what seemed hours, later I heard there was flooding all over the Kansas City Area
Wondering how my Crops fared out back, have to take a look today (Saturday)
Anyway another sort of busy Day for most of Friday, no lotto Wins of mention but some Gardening projects done
Then on to Dinner and a late Movie and more Music and then off to dreamland... and OH! Those dreams!

~ Picked a Passel of Peppers ~
~ Made Pepper Relish ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Can you see What I thought I saw in the Clouds? ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

On one of my trips back home on Wednesday, just at the top of the hill above my place I looked up at the Sky
And it sure looked like Two Faces up in those Clouds... an old Man sleeping and a Child above
Just my imagination?, well I just had to stop and get that Photo above

It started out raining Wednesday Morning and rained just about all Day, Sun peeked out some in the afternoon
So I did some running around here and there but no outside doings until Afternoon, then took a hike out back
Found a few things to Harvest but then a surprize in the Cucumber Bed, the new Radishes were popping up
Just planted those Seeds on Sunday, guess the warm Soil and rain gave them a boost, sure would like a good crop

~ New Radishes popped up on Wednesday ~

And the latest Chapter in the USPS Wild Goose Chase... or did I memntion that? My Printer Paper Order
I checked online on Wednesday the 24th and the Tracking Info said it was left in the Parcel Locker on the 23rd
So I trotted up to my Mailbox for the Key to the Locker and no Key in sight... Oh Oh, all over again
I headed down to the Post Office to check, they called out a Supervisor, he went back to check
Came back out, says do you have a Tracking Number? Yeah on my Computer, says bring it down, I says Tomorrow
So I went back down there Thursday Morning, gave the Clerk the Tracking Number, she disappeared
She came back, says they left it in the Parcel Locker, I said that's what I told the Supervisor on Wednesday
So she disappeared again, this time she came back, said a Supervisor would come by to check on the Parcel Locker

Then I got my Lottos and head back home, the Postman was there who was supposed to deliver it on Tuesday
He said he thought he left it in front of my Door, I says no... Then he looked through all the Mailboxes... no Key
So I am stuck for now, no Paper, no Supervisor, I'll wait a Day or two and call Amazon, see if they will send it again

And so, Thursday Morning, heavy Rain and T-Boomers, no watering will be needed for a Day or Two after that
And then Rain Stopped and the Sun came out and on to the Day... And on into the Aftermoon and nothing to do
Since when? There is always something, however insignificant, to do around here, maybe a walk around back
Not expecting anything to Harvest but I did see this nice Big Cucumber, getting a pile in the Fridge again
Then one of the Big Bertha plants was leaning over again, I picked several Peppers off that one
And a couple more off the other Pepper plants... Then back inside, what to do with those Peppers? HAH! Make Relish
I have plenty already but need to do something with those Peppers... maybe I can give some away?

~ Harvested Green Peppers ~ And a Nice Cucumber ~

Ok, then thinking that Green Pepper Relish might be a bit on the mild side, how adding some Poblanos?
Don't know much to do with them anyway, I just was experimenting with growing them in my AeroGarden
And several in the AeroGarden 7 were getting ripe, time to pick, I picked all the good sized ones from there
Then I went outside and picked a couple from the Pot that looked to be nice sized

~ Then some of the Poblano Peppers ~

So see there, another Project popped up to keep me busy for a while on Thursday Afternoon
Ho Ho... Ho Ho... It's off to Relish time we go... Rinse, chop and grind them up in the Food Processor
Into the Pot with a tad of Olive Oil and then do the same with some big Vidalia Onions, on to simmer a bit
When everything was in the Pot, time for the Brine and I had some already made up for Bread and Butter Pickles
And checking the recipies for Pepper Relish, very similar to what I alreasdy had so I decided to try that
In with a Pint of that Brine and then let it simmer for most of an Hour like they said to do...
And then strain off the excess Brine and into the Jars to cool and then into the Fridge

~ Green Pepper and Poblano Pepper Relish ~

And then on into the Evening and TV and Dinner, just finishing a Colombo Episode when my 'friend' Kelly called
He was all upset about his family affairs, that's about all the good a Family is for it seems at times
So I listened and offered condolences and he settled down a bit... While he was talking I brought in my music Keyboard
I began picking out old tunes and he heard the Music and got into it, offering songs for me to attempt
And I could pick them out quite easily for most and he was suitably impressed I could do so
So that settled him down and I finished my Evening on a Musical note... Tra La la la...

What now? Another Friday all over again? Weekends sure come so quick lately... anyway... Off to the new Day!

~ Another Nice Lotto Win! ~
~ Two more Pepper Projects ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Harvest for Wednesday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And off to Wednesday... Thought I would try the Price Chopper again for my Lottos, won another $50 Ticket
Still on a roll for August, so far Three $100 Wins, Four $50 Wins and Four $40 Wins, not too bad
Traded in the last $50 win for $20 more and won back $15... still a little profit and a good Win

~ Fourth $50 Win for August ~

A rainy Morning, starting off Cool then getting warm and muggy, no out back gardening for Wednesday
Kept dripping on into the Afternoon, then came up with a couple of new Ideas for Peppers...
The Mexibell left in Aerogarden 6 going nowhere fast, the one I put out in a Pot is doing great
I thought I would get another Pot and some new Soil and put that Inside One out with the Other one

So off again to Lowes and Walmart... Got a nice big Pot and more Soil and Jalapeno Seeds at Lowes
Then I had a Prescription on order at Walmart so I went next door for that, I had a Discount Coupon
The Price on the Coupon said my cost would be $60 or so, but the Clerk said it would be $1,500... HUH!
She said the price without the coupon would be $2,400! No Way Jose! My prescript plan won't pay for it
And I sure can't come up with that and it doesn't work all that well anyway, I've used it before

So I headed on back, plugged in my Drill for drain holes in the New Pot and started the Transfer
And that went smoothly, 25 Quarts of Soil out of the Blazer, the new Pot and Pepper out on the Porch
Set the Pepper in the Pot, Roots all the way down, then ladled in the Soil and worked the plant up as I went
And now both Mexibell Plants out in the Pots and in the Sun, and nowhere to go but up! OLE!

~ Latest Move ~ 'Mexibell Two' from AeroGarden to Pot ~ Mexibell One and Two

And to finish the Projects for the Day, new Jalapeno Seeds in Aerogarden 6 to replace the Mexibell Peppers
The first crop of Jalapenos I tried in Aerogarden 5 did real well, the plants then not as tall as the Poblanos or Mexibells
I still have some of that first Crop pickled and in a Jar in the Fridge... and quite tasty they are!

~ Latest Planting ~ Jalapeno Peppers now in AeroGarden 6 ~ And now... When? ~

Then time for a Margarita and what's for dinner, thinking another Sausage and more Tater Salad
And first a fresh Tomato, sliced and segmented, into the bowl with a little Kosher Salt and Basil
Into the Fridge to chill to perfection, nothing better that a fresh 'Better Boys' Tomato all by itself
And Dinner to end the Day, that' Salad' of a fresh Tomato, grilled Sausage on a Bun, Potato Salad
And finish with a Glass of Vino Tinto and Netflix Movie, then an episode of Colombo, the end of another busy Day

~ Off to see Mary at the Cancer Center ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Tuesday Morning, cool again, 69 degrees going to 81, I can handle that, kind of a cloudy Morning
No plans yet, first the Skin Doctor and then water out front some time later, and of course get Lottos
Checked my Bank, then Facebook, then my Email... and a phone call from -Him- again, the endless Talker
Always giving me needless Health advice while not heeding my valid advice to him... but he can't QUIT SMOKING!
Tells me what to eat, what Supplements to take, what Internet Advice to look up... Who needs it?
I made it to 84 plus with no major Medical Problems, betcha he won't get there... (unless)

Finished my BLOG, posted it to Facebook, finally got rid of my talkative contact and into the Shower
Then my Shampoo and Shave and into my new Docker Slacks and a nice dark Blue T-Shirt and off to the Center at 11 a.m.
Stopped on the way for my Lottos, got to the Office on time at 11:30 a.m. Didn't have to wait long
The prelimimary Exam didn't take long but the wait for the Nurse Practioner did, she finally showed up

So she poked around here and there and I showed her the place on my Ear that prompted me to call
I was pretty sure she would do a Biopsy on that, yeah, she said she would have to do that, then the Nurse did the Numbing
And they left, another wait and they came back in, did the Biopsy in five Minutes, gave me a Prescription
All done, she said she would see me in a couple Months after I used the Prescription stuff on my other Sun Bumps

But I just know they will call, say the Biopsy is positive and I'll have to come back for more Surgery
I lost count of how many Biopsies they have done, quite a few and only one came up negative
And so... in a week or two I bet I get that call, come on back in, we want to cut off another hunk...

And She said I needed to use some more 'Fluorouracil' to get rid of some of the pre-cancerous Lesions I have
That stuff is high Priced and not covered by my Prescription plan so they gave me a Coupon with a nice price cut
Still about $65 for a dinky little tube of Cream, the Coupon was good at Walmart they said
And my closest Walmart was just around the Corner from the Doctor so I stopped by, gave them the Prescript
The guy said it would be ready in 40 Minutes... HUH? Yeah he says, so I headed home to work my Lottos

~ Fourth $40 Win for August ~

And then I scratched off a nice $40 Win, Fourth $40 Win of the Month, and that was a $20 Profit, kept that for Wednesday<
So then an hour later I headed back on that long drive to Walmart, got in line, gave the Gal my name
Then she says... It is out of stock, might be in Wednesday or Thursday and I could call to see if it's there
Well, thank you so much... Well no real hurry to start the treatment but another long drive to and from there

~ One More Lotto Prize Cooler full of Goodies ~

And then,, when I got back I saw the UPS Man left a big Cooler on my Porch... Hah my latest Lotto Prize Pack
I ordered a nice assortment of Burgers, Steaks and Hot Dogs to give to my Mechanic Friend for his help
So I called him, he was heading to a Pharmacy close by, I told him to stop by on the way, had something for him
He is going to give me the Title for the Mercedes he sold me and also do a free Inspection so I gave him some Goodies
And a Jar of Bread and Butter Pickles and a Jar of Dill Pickles and a few fresh Green peppers to take along

And then... time for that new habit, that Margarita, well, 'Manhattans' were getting old after 50 years or so
And I like that tang of the Lime Juice and that mellowness of that 100% Blue Agave Tequila... Ole!
And also.. What's for Dinner?, I put out one of my last few Lotto Prize Sausages to thaw... and maybe Potato Salad?

And finally that wound up a long and busy Day, The Sausage was great and the Tater Salad was tasty
The Vino Tinto was mellow and the TV was acceptable and the Bed Tine was very welcome... Hasta Luego...

~ New Day ~ New Week ~ New Adventures? ~ ~
~ A Nice Weather Say ~ Not Much Happening Day ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ One Mexibell Outpacing the Other Again ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Monday... another almost chilly morning at 63 Degrees... but going to 85, now that's about as high as I like
Nothing much needs to be done outside at the moment... might water the newly planted Radishes early
It looks like everything handled the rest of Sunday in fine shape, at least no 90s for the Day
And first thing a peek at the Latest planted Mexibells, looks like 'Here we go again'
In the Poblano AeroGarden and then in the first Mexibell Aerogarden one plant is bigger than the other
And I moved the Smaller Plants into Pots and then they outpaced the ones still inside... so what about this one?

Thinking way ahead, when the Peppers in Aerogardens 6 and 7 are on the way out, maybe plant more Jalapenos in them
The first ones I planted seemed to do pretty well, still have some of them Pickled in a Jar, don't use many
But then that may be a Month or two away, then will be time to get started on the inside Winter Crops

And than off on a many stop Goose chase and the Goose got away, I thought I was getting close a couple times
I hit most all my favorite places for Lottos, won a little went hunting for more
First to the Fast Stop, won $20... Then to the Minit Mart, won $15... Back to the Minit Mart, won only $5

Back again to the Minit Mart, this time won $10... Once again at Minit Mart, won $20, then to the Price Chopper for $5
And one final desperate try at the Price Chopper, just another $5... Won a total of $80, spent $85 trying
So all that running around and winning a few good ones... a loss of $5... but it was some fun trying

Then hooked up the Hose and headed out back, watered everything back there, picked one nice big Cucumber
And that was all outside for the Day, the Afternoon and Evening the same old routine, ho hum...

So Tuesday Morning, nice cool start again at 69 Degrees and a not so bad high of 81 coming later
No plans except more watering out front and another Dermatologist Appointment, more Sun Bumps looks like
They sure have been making money from my Insurance lately, I would hate to see the Total... Good I am not paying it

~ Back out Early again to Plant and Weed ~

~ Planted Radishes in the Cucumber Bed ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Another Cool Mornng Sunday, put on a long sleeved Shirt to ward off the 60 Degrees to head out back
Then I dug up the Soil in front of the Cucumber Plants to plant some more Icicle Radishes
The ones I planted in early Spring didn't so very good, tryng a Fall Crop and not too sure about this one either
Seems I never have had much luck with Radishes but they say they are 'so easy' to grow... Not for me

Then I scooted over to the Pepper Bed where the Weeds were trying to crowd out the Peppers and Swiss Chard
Getting some good sized Peppers now and looks like any time I could pick some Swiss Chard again for Greens
Finally over to the Tomato Bed to get a Photo of the Tomato Plants approaching 8 Feet, above the 6 Foot trellis now
And a Cucumber Vine climbed over from the end of the Pepper Bed to settle a Cucumber way up with the Tomatoes

~ Cucumber in the Tomato Bed ~ Tomato Plants over 7 Feet ~

That was it for Gardening and Weeding, back in at 8:30 a.m. for whatever the rest of the Day would bring
And that was not a Fortune, I headed out a couple times to try with no great luck, I still hope for that Big One
Oh just pifddling until I thought I would go back out and clip the Swiss Chard that was ready
And I ended up with a Sack full that looked like a lot, but that stuff cooks down to nothing quick
Anyway it takes awhile so I got started on it, first into the big Bowl to soak in cold Water a bit
That seems to hydrate it some and rinse off any dirt or bugs...
~ Swiss Chard Harvested Sunday ~

Then got sme Bacon of of the Freezer diced it up on the Pan, add some Olive Oil and some big sweet Onions
After the Chard soak, a Rinse in running water, then snipped the Stems and Leaves in smaller pieces and into the Pan

~ Recipe for Swiss Chard ~ Rinse ~ Chop Onions and Bacon ~ Add Swiss Chard to Simmer ~

Then let that simmer slowly for awhile and then to hold warn for Dinner later... and that was with some Fried Chicken again
The fried Chicken, a hunk of COrnbread and the freshjly sayuteed Swiss Chard, that wound up the afternoon
Same old finish to the Day, Glass if Wine and whatever of interest on TV, did find an interesting Movie on NetFlix

So another new Day and new Week, startig all over again, nothing much new but sometimes can be fun

~ Back out Early to Spray and Harvest ~
~ More Cukes ~ Needed more Jars ~

~ Big Haul for Saturday Morning ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Hooked up the Hose and back out early Saturday in the unexpected COOL Weather... real nice!
Looks like we did get some Rain overnight but I didn't hear any drops or Thunder like they said would happen
So, I had the 'Seven' Sprayer hookes up, sprayed the Cantaloup Bed really thoroughly, to get them there bugs!
Then I watered the rest of the Beds and then picked a few things, one Pepper plant was leaning over
So I picked two Peppers off that one, then Three Tomatoes, then Eight Cucumbers... Oh Oh... Need more Jars
On the way back in I picked one more Tomato off the plant out front in the Pot

Back to the Computer and some Chat with Sigi.. and a couple words from Swamp, having trouble with the new Yahoo Messenger
He can't see or type well and likes to use Video Chat and looks like the new Yahoo Messenger doesn't have it now
I downloaded Skype for that, I kind of like the Layout, thought maybe he could try that
He typed to ask what my Name was on Skype, I said must be 'Donald Smith' and that's the last I heard fom him

And time sped by, it was almost 11 a.m. before I got into my Morning Shower and the rest of my Morning routine
Then I checked to see what I needed for more Dill Pickles besides Jars and headed again to the Price Chopper
I got my goodies and headed back and found I had bought the wrong size Jars, I wanted Pints, I got Half Pints
I have lots of Pickle practice now, so I mixed up the Brine to start on the Pickles
Then I set the Brine in the Pot to heat while I sliced up the Cucumbers. did it the Easy way
I got my Meat Slicer out of the Pantry and set the Blade just right and sliced then all up and into a Bowl
When the Brine was just at boiling I dumped in the Cucumber Slices, let them heat a bit and then into the Jars

~ Four More Pints of Dill Pickles ~ Those are Half Pint Jars ~

I was all done with that impromptu Project around 4 p.m. Decided to take a ride over to see Rion at his new Job
Probably about 6 miles over to I-435 and then 6 miles back, Rion was at the Counter and I got my Lottos
And then he made his Computer Payment, missed one the Month he was not at work yet
But the nice $100 Lotto I won there last time made up for that for the mnex Month
But this time a no go, lost on all four Tickets, OK... There will be another day... HUH?

So then what to finish out the Day? A Glass of wine, a Smoked Pork Sandwich and some TV
Now... Sunday and a COOL Morning out there it says at 56 Degrees... Planning on planting a fall crop of Radishes
And maybe some weeding in the Pepper Bed... So Off we go...

~ Another $40 Lotto Win ~
~ And Not Much Going On ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Second $40 in on that Ticket this Month! ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Off to the Minit Mart first thing on Friday, I switch around on where I buy my Lottos
And I bought $20 in Tickets, lost on Three but a nice $40 win on the 20X, that has been a lucky Ticket this Month
I won Two $100 Tickets and now Two $40 Tickets and several smaller ones, that one is becoming a Favorite now
So I went back to the Fast Stop, traded for $20 more and pocketed the other $20, only won $5 back

Earlier a friend on Facebook was asking why the Pirate Flag the Girls upstairs had hung on the Deck
I saw one of them coming down the Stairs and asked her where the Prate Team was
She said Park University Pirates right here in Town, so then I got this Photo and Posted in on Facebook
And gave the Details to Lizette, the friend that had asked why the Pirate Flag alongside the England Flag

~ Another Photo of the Flags for the Olympics ~

Had some breakfast in there sometime, tried that little ripe Cantaluope I picked the Day before
Not outstanding, I'm not all that wild about Cantaloupe anyway but it was about par for the course

Then I got a Phone Call from a friend who likes to talk and talk and say nothing of importance
I don't like to be rude so I tried to listen and comment about every 100th word. he finally quit
Then, I noticed a tiny Hummingbird out front huntng for Lunch and my Feeder was empty
So I made up some Sugar Syrup and filled the Feeder, been neglecting that, haven't seen many this year

And on into another hot Afternoon, then it would cloud up and then the Sun would sneak out again
The Plants out front were looking thirsty again so I dragged out the Hose and gave then a good soak
Later the Weatherman was promising a 95% chance of rain that evening but it never happened that I saw

And even later, back to the Evening routine, had some more of that Chicken, Cole Slaw and Potato Salad
Kept nicely in the Fridge since Wednesday, then on to an old TV Show rerun then an Andre Rieu Concert
And off to bed to dream of some Rain but it didn't happen, now Saturday Morning.... all cloudy at 8:30 a.m.
Maybe we will get some of that promised Rain after all.. anyway.. Off to the new Day!

~ Cleaned my Fountain out front Agaim ~

~ Bugs got another Melon ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Thursday, nice Sunny Morning... going into a hot afternoon later, out early to check the Crops
Looks like the Cucumber plants in the Cucumber Bed are givimg up, no problema, got plenty of Pickles now
And there are still Cucumber Plants in the Pepper Bed still growing nicely, not producing much yet
Looks like two more Tomatoes will be ready on Friday, nothing else ready to Harvest... but had another loss
I saw the second largest Melon in the Cantaloupe Cage was looking ripe, checked it and it had Bugs eating away at it
Maybe it was not a Sqirrel that ate a hole in the other one, but that was a big Hole... Need to spray again?

Anyway, off to the Lotto Races, back to the Price Chopper to win a dinky little $10 Ticket, I'll go back
But before that, another Cup of Coffee and a start on this Thursday BLOG to post on Friday
I did come up with a Project for the Day, maybe Two, the little Fountain out front was all yucky again
Needed to spray it with Bleach and rinse out the Pump, this Year that 'Green Stuff' seems worse than last year...
So I got back out there before the high Heat set in, sprayed it with some Clorox Bathroom Cleaner
Went back in to piddle around, then back out to check, already mostly clean, sprayed again and brushed it

And back in again with another Idea, I have some Apple Sauce and Rhubarb Sauce in the Fridge to use up
How about baking some Biscuits to spread that good stuff on? Hadn't made any Biscuits since forever
I had all the Ingredients so I mixed up a batch, cut out some good sized ones and into the oven
When they had some nice Color, out to cool a bit then split one to try with some Apple Sauce, yeah, they will do

~ Some Home Baked Biscuits ~

Once more out front to finish the Fountain job, sprayed the Fountain good with the Hose, then used a Siphon to drain it
Did that twice more, then filled with Clean water and sent it trickling on it's merry way again

~ Fountain needing Cleaning ~ Fountain Cleaned and Running ~

And then... another Idea, look at all those Tomatoes on the Table, over Twenty nice Red Ones
Time for some Home Made Tomato Ketchup, again hadn't done that for a few Years, so let's get at it
I checked several Recipes online to refresh my memory then set out with my own variation on how
Mainly just Tomatoes, Onions, Sugar, Vinegar, Herbs and Seasonngs, sort of like Salsa but no hot Peppers
I Chopped Tomatoes and Onions in the Food Processor, into the Pot, added Sugar, Vinegar, Garlic Salt
Some of my Own Basil and Oregano, then some Cumin and Celery Seed, that should do it, let that simmer a couple Hours

~ Home Made Ketchup from Home Grown Tomatoes ~

Finally time for that Margarita and some TV, then probably a re-run of Fried Chicken, Potato Salad and Cole Slaw
Well no, cancel that, not the Margarita, that's fine, but Dinner? Had Chicken on Wednesday Night
I put out a Lotto Prize Burger to thaw, I wanted to try out the new fresh Ketchup on that... yeah...
And Potato Salad, nah, let's do some French Fries in the Fry Daddy, maybe some of that Ketchup on them too

And that I did and that was good! You sure can't buy Ketchup at the Price Chopper that tastes that good!
OK, so now it is Friday, let's find something fun to do

~ Actually Harvested a Cantaloupe! ~
~ And more Cucumbers and Tomatoes ~
~ Then Won the Third $100 Lotto of the Month ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Harvest for Wednesday Morning ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I headed out back just to check up on things, didn't expect much ready to Harvest but got a Surprize or two
I spotted quite a few Tomatoes that weren't showing much Color on Monday, Picked 8 more 'Better Boys' and 2 Golden Cherries
And I saw something bright colored in the Cantaloupe Cage, One Melon had dropped off the Stem and sure did look ripe
Was afraid something had gotten to it like the first one that turned Color in just one Day but nope, it was intact
Then I picked a couple more Cucumbers on the way back out, inside I Split the Cantaloupe, looked good, into the Fridge

~ I got to this little Cantaloupe before the Varmints Did ~

And then, still early, cleaned up, then Headed down to the Coffee House with some Tomatoes and a Jar of Pickles for Lewis
I gave Lewis his goodies and then headed back for my Lottos... First off, hit the third $100 Win of the Month
Took that back to trade, but this time only a dinky $10 Win, back to try one more time, that time a $20 Win, got my Money back

~ One More Really Nice Lotto Win! ~

Then, I was expecting the UPS Man sometime before Noon so I waited around for that, just a new Mouse and a Missouri Flag
The Girls upstairs had put out a couple Banners for the Olympics so I wanted to put out the American and Missouri Flags too
They are from England, they had put out a Banner with 'England' on it... and another 'Pirate' Flag I couldn't figure out how it fit in

And the UPS Man showed up a little after Noon, I opened my new Wireless Mouse got it working on my Laptop
Then the Missouri State Flag, nice looking one and a very good price too, I took the USA Flag off one on my poles
Fastened on the Missouri Flag and took it outside to Display it at the end of the Deck, looks Great
I Hope the gals upstairs don't take this the wrong way, I just wanted to join their Celebration

~ Flags and Banners out for the Olympics? ~

On into the Afternoon, chatting wth Sigi.. What's for Dinner, he says Fish, I says I don't have any Fish, Chicken might be nice
So I jumped in the Blazer and headed back to the Price Chopper and the Deli Area... picked up a 8 piece dark Chicken pack
Ans I wanted to make some Cole Slaw and Potato Salad, needed some Cabbage and Potatoes, got that and headed back

Then a busy time, making the Potato Salad and Slaw at the same time, got it all finished and put away
Back to the TV with a Margarita, Dinner all waiting in the Oven and Fridge... yeah... way to go

So the Finale... Dinner, Wine and TV... And another pleasant Day, starting out with no Ideas again
But as so many times, an Idea pops up to keep me busy... So what now for Thursday?

~ Sunny and Hot Again ~ Well it's August ~
~ Oh Oh! A New Project! ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ A Pretty Little Mexibell Pepper ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

So I sliced up that latest Loaf of Rye Bread on Monday afternoon but didn't add a Photo... So...
Made Twelve slices, Eight for the Freezer, Four more to eat whenever still Fresh, and it's a good sample again

~ Slicing up that Latest Loaf of Home Baked Rye Bread ~

I check the Aerogardens every Morning, most everything doing OK, lots of Peppers coming along now
The Latest Mexibells doing fine expecially that little one in the Photo, The Poblano out in the Pot really doing great
Gives me an Idea... I have two larger Mexibells in AeroGarden 6, maybe put one of those outside in a Pot too
Still have a couple Months of summer for it to grow big and produce out there, hmmm... do I have an empty Pot?

Nope, none big enough so off to Lowes again, to get one just like the one I put the Poblano in
This time though, the Pepper Plant is bigger and more of a risk to Transplant, and has Peppers on it
So I'll pick all the bigger Peppers off first so it won't be as much strain to adapt outside
Got my Pot and headed back, stopped on the way back for Lottos at the Fast Stop, won $15... lost $5

Then time to start on the Latest Idea... Pulled the Pepper Plant and all the Roots out of the Planting Pod hole
Set it in the new Pot and toted it out front... Started carefuly pouring in the Potting Soil, that's a big Pot, took a lot
I set the Roots close to the bottom and lifted the Plant as I trowled in the Soil, finally close to the Top

~ Moved the Tall Pepper Outside ~ Pepper in it's New Pot ~ Moved the Other One to the Center Pod ~

All my Plant moving around all done by 1 p.m. then What? Well, lookee all those 'Mexibell' Peppers
And look at all those table bound 'Better Boys' Tomatoes, what shall we do with all that Bounty?
OK... Invent a new Salsa? Well all Salsa is mostly prepared in about the same way, some Tomatoes, Peppers, Onions. Seasonings
So let's jump in and play around and see what we come up with... Sure fun to try anyway and I LOVE to cook stuff

~ Mexibells Picked before moving the Plant ~

That should be enough Mexibell Peppers for a couple Pints of Salsa and there are more than enough Tomatoes ready
Lessee, what else do we need, I have the Onions, Herbs. Spices and other Seasonings... Let's get at it!

~ A Tomato Surplus Accumulating ~ What to Do with Them? ~

First, rinse, split, remove the Seeds and cut the Peppers in chunks, and into the Food Processor to chop up finely
Dump that in the Pot and then chunk up the Tomatoes, into the Food Processor and then in with the Peppers
And again with some big fat Vidalia Onions, Food Processor again and away we go... Let that simmer a bit
Next the 'Pep Up' stuff, where is that Recipe? Oh, forgot, there isn't one, OK let's wing it...
Didn't have any fresh Garlic, but Garlic Salt, course ground and with Parsley will do, that's good stuff
Then some Home Grown Basil, Oregano, and Cilantro, store bought Cumin, a little Sugar, a tad of Vinegar...
That should do it, then just needed an hour of two of lightly simmering away, a Taste Test... Hey! Purty Good
The Mexibells a bit milder than Jalapenos but a really rounded fresh Pepper Taste, Grandma would like this stuff

~ New! Mexibell Salsa Picante! ~

So with no plans to start with, Tuesday turned out to be a really busy fun day after all, I do love to Cook and Plant
So what for Wednesday? Thinking taking some Tomatoes and Pickles down to the Coffee House for Lewis
Later expecting a couple Items from UPS... I'll take a look out back..always something comes up to keep me busy

So... Off we go, Into the Wild Blue Somewhere!.... Charge!

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~

~ Finished Screening Cantaloupe Cage ~
~ Picked a few More Tomatoes ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ More to add to the Pile on the Table ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Out Back again on Monday Morning to finish up the Screening on the Cantaloupe Page, that went fast enough
Then I picked four more Tomatoes amd then watered all the Back Beds, headed back around front, got a Phone call on the way
Answered the Phone... kept talking as I dropped the Hose down to my front yard... This guy can talk for an Hour
So I just kept listening to him ramble on, an occasional comment from me, as I kept on Watering
And I finished watering everything out front, he was still talking as I went back in, finally wound down

Then, I have been wanting to get a small limb from out back to prop up the Poblanos in the Pot again
I got my Loppers and headed out back again, there are several Trees that have been growing fast on one side of the Yard
I didn't know what they were, different from most of the other ones back there, anyway I snipped a branch off one
And on that branch was a little Green thing, looked like a Fruit or a big Nut... I took it in with me
Then I went back out front to wire it onto the smaller Stake already there and then tied the Poblanos on again

And that Plant that I moved outside is really outdoing the one left in the AeroGarden Inside and has more Peppers too
The inside Plant is at 25 Inches and nowhere to go and has six smaller Poblano Peppers on it now
The Plant outside is now at 37 Inches and has 16 Peppera on it and the Peppers a lot bigger than inside
Well, looks like the AeroGardens are for some Winter Fun but you can't beat Mother Nature at growing plants out in the Sun

~ Inside and Outside Poblano Peppers ~

Then back inside to see if I could find out what that little Green thing was, first thought that came to mind was a Paw Paw
Don't know why, I never had seen one but knew they grew wild on Trees in Missouri, my Parents had mentioned them
So I keyed in 'Paw Paw' in Search and there it was, just like the one I had picked.. HA! Now I have a new Orchard

~ The Paw Paw I Picked ~ The tree I snipped it From ~

So I headed out for my Lottos and stopped by the Office to show the Paw Paw fruit to Boss Bob
His puzzled comment was... 'What the Hell is That'... I told him I picked it out of my new Orchard
Then I told him what it was and how those trees had moved in on one side out back since last Year
And he wanted to take it Home to show his wife... Well it is an interesting Tid Bit to know I have Fruit Trees now
On through the rest of that otherwise uneventful Day... The only minor project was to slice up that loaf of Bread
One slice for a Sandwich, Eight slices for the Freezer, and for to keep fresh for whatever comes to mind

Made up a big Beef Sandwich on a Bun, that, some Chips and a Glass of Wine sufficed for Dinner, then a Movie and to Bed
Actually stayed up later than usual, was behind time all day, made up for that by sleeping in until 7 a.m. Wow!
Now Tuesday, no plans, nothing much ahead except two deliveries tomorrow... Anyway... off to a new Day!

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~

~ More Screening on the Cantaloupe Cage ~
~ Another Try at Baking Rye Bread ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ New Screening on the Cage but needed More ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sunday morning... 8 a.m. Sunny but still nice and cool out back, started putting more finer Screening on the Cantaloupe Cage
But I ran out quickly, only had about 1/3 of what I needed, so that meant a trip to Lowes for more
And after tilting up the Cage to start I saw four more Melons that just might make it, so it's worth a try

~ Can we keep the Varmints off these nice Melons? ~

And I headed up to the Price Chopper on the way to Lowes, stopped in to get my Lottos, no go, only won $5
Walked all the way to the back of Lowes for my Screening, they only had 3 feet wide and 1/2 inch Mesh
I wanted 4 feet wide and 1 inch Mesh... no go again, they had it online but not in the Store

So I headed out back again after Noon, had some Chicken Wire, see if that would work... Got up the Stairs
Took a look out there... Sunny and just too hot at 85 Degrees for any more of that, try later in the Day
So what else for the Afternoon, another try at Rye Bread?, thought some would go good with my German Cooking
I mixed up a batch on Saturday and something I did went wrong, halfway through baking, the Loaf was all crumbly
So I dumped that try, thought I would try again, I think I know what I did wrong, mixed it up again and set the Machine going

I saw a few (?) more Tomatoes out back when I checked first thing, I headed back out about 2 p.m. to pick them
I am getting a tableful now, have to decide what to do with them, have a couple Ideas... One 'REAL' Tomato Ketchup

~ Better Boys Harvest for Sunday ~

And the other? I am getting quite a few Poblamo Peppers of some size now, what to do with them?
Most recipes I see for Poblanos call for roasting and peeling the Skins, I don't want to bother with that
I did find a Stuffed Poblano Recipe that didn't call for peeling but I was thinking of some Poblano Pwpper Salsa
For that, I'll just chop them up in the Food Processor and make up a Recipe of what I have here on hand

On through the long Afternoon and about 5 p.m. I headed out back to work on that Cage Netting
I had just about enough to cover the Sides of the Cage about 3/4 of the way up, maybe that will be enough
But a Squirrel could get on top but wonder if it would drop down inside to mess with my Meloms? Well give it a try

Back inside to see my Bread was finished, dumped it out on the Rack to cool, later tried some with Dinner
It will pass the Test quite well, I wrapped the rest, will Slice and store the rest on Monday

~ Latest Loaf of Home Baked Rye Bread ~

But... after I run out back and finish that netting Job on the Cantaloupe Cage
