~ Dreary Wet Saturday Morning ~
~ Harvested Cilantro ~ Planted Lettuce ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Next Crop to Plant out Back ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

9 a.m. Saturday... Rain, Rain... Go Away.. Little Donny want to go out and play... Was raining when I headed out
And a bit on the Chilly side, then at 10 a.m. the Sun cane out BRIGHT for a couple Minutes...
And looked like it would stay bright when I headed to Riverside to Larry's Nursery

He had some Onion sets about a Week ago, thought I would trot over there and get some
But he was sold out of that Item, so next door to the Riverside Red X Store
There they had some Onion Seeds so I decided to try those, don't grow quite so fast as sets though

Back at the Ranchito, looked like time to snip that Cilantro from Garden 1 and plant some lettuce in there

~ Time to Replant AeroGarden 1 ~ Cilantro Harvested ~ Lettuce Planted ~

Still had four Pods from my last Pod Kit, so three of them went into Garden 1, one Pod left
And... Weather getting nicer, back up the Hill to pull all the Radishes, not a winner Crop again this Year
The experts say that Radishes are so easy to grow but for me they haven't been very productive... Oh Well
I have more Radish Seeds, I'll plant some more in a few Days, just a pain to plant those tiny Seeds
But they are bigger than the Turnip Seeds I planted and they are not doing so well either
And those Onions Seeds I just bought aren't much bigger than the Turnip Seeds, but anyway... I tried
Took some new Potting Soil back to refresh the Cucumber Bed where I pulled the Radishes
Then I tried to be easy and planted a row of Onions, I'll have to get some 'Sets' they are so much easier

~ Radishes Pulled ~ Onions Planted ~

And then, a little bored again, and I had $9 in my Pocket, how about some $3 Bingo Tickets?
They have this $3 Bingo Ticket I like to play, usually don't win much but it is possible
Some 'Lines' have a 'Five Times Gold Bar' which increases the interest on playing the Game
I got three Tickets, won a $3 Line on one, then a $10 Line on the second with that Gold Bar... $50
Then another Line for a $3 Win, total $53 on that Ticket plus the $3 on the other, last ticket was a Dud
So, $9 for the Tickets, Ten minutes of fun and a $47 Profit, nice way to do business

~ Nice Win on a $3.00 Ticket ~

Went back to the Price Chopper to cash in my Win and wanted some Hot Dog Buns, got my Cash and headed to the back
Saw Antonio, mi Amigo, in the Produce Department... Stacking Onions and on a super Sale! and I needed Onions
Then he said there was another Super Sale on Broccoli... Yeah! I got a super sized Head
Oh yeah, the Sweet Corn for 29 Cents an Ear, had to get some of that, got Six Ears

That was less than half price for all that Stuff, then I headed on back for my Buns

~ All this Loot for $5.06 ~

On to the Afternoon for a Margarita and then an Ear of that Sweet Corn, along with some of my Radishes and mini Tomatoes
Then one of those Giant Lotto Price Hot Dogs to finish up the Day... Oh yeah, Pay Day and a nice Lottos Win too!

Now on into the new Month of Merry Merry May!

~ New Project for Friday ~
~ Built my Cantaloupe Cage ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Fencing for my new Cantaloupe Cage ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

A catchup Photo of my Tomatoes in AeroGarden 5 and 6, Some nice Megas and a handful of those tiny Heirlooms
Still be awhile for the Megas but some Heirlooms are ready now... Took longer for the Tiny ones
And so far a lot more of the Mega ones... I have been harvesting Tomatoes since the middle of January
I started with the 'Mighty Minis' in Garden 3, then in Garden 4, the 'Heirlooms' in Garden 5 and the 'Megas' in Garden 6
And now I have 'Better Boys' Tomatoes in a Pot in front and in a Garden Bed out back

~ More Tomatoes on the Way ~ Left Heirloom Cherry ~ Right Mega Cherry ~

And then off to the Project for the Day, build a Cage for my Cantaloupes, headed to Lowes for Fencing
Got what I wanted (twice as much) and headed back home... Got a 50 foot Roll of Steel Fencing
Strong enough I thought, that I would not need a Frame to hold it, just use the Fence Wire

And so, I started on that about 10 a.m. taking my Time, Measured, Cut and Wired the Sides and Ends together
Finished about 11:30 or so and draqged it around back to check out the Site, put it right there

~ Need to Mow and Dig and Plant Next ~

I planned to use black Underlayment which is good for growing Melons, keeps the Soil warm and keeps the Bugs out
First I needed to mow, not planning to dig up the whole Bed, just make a couple of 'Hills'
So I plugged in my little Electric Mower amd mowed real close, next dug a deep Hole
Tough work, I headed up to my Garden Bench to view my Realm for a few Minutes, back down to dig the second Hole
Dug that one, then time to go inside and warm up a little, a cloudy chilly day for Garden work

~ Holes Dug ~ Waiting for new Garden Soil ~

Back out again, filled the Holes with new Garden Soil, then raked and built up the Hills, then on with the Underlayment
Cut a couple holes for the Seeds, in with the Seeds, then on with the Cage... now when do we get Melons?

~ Project Complete ~ Now What's Next? ~

What's next? Well I was thinking some of Green Onions, haven't done that in many years
But where could I put them, there is something in every Bed now... Oh well I'll think about it
And with that thought, the end of another successful Project Day, (if the Melons come up) into the Afternoon
A Margarita, later a Burger with my mini Tomatoes and Chips and back to the TV
Then what? Clouded up more and started to Rain, and the Weatherman says HEAVY, like we need that
That Ground was wet all the way to the bottom of the Holes I dug on Friday... GIMMEE SOME SUN!

Now Saturday.. Pay Day! Let's go buy some Lottos!

~ No Rain but Cooler Weather ~
~ More Seeds ~ More Pods ~ Planted Lettuce ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ More Stuff to Plant ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

No Rain but much cooler at 47 Degrees at 6 a.m. on Thursday Morning, kicked on the Heat
No Plans for the Day, now waiting for new Lettuce Pods, I'll put three Pods in AeroGarden 3 then
At least they took that Week of T-Storns out of the Forecast, that would be no fun at all
But now they are saying tops in the 60s for about a Week and not a lot of Sun, hope they are wrong again

Didn't mention that I got another Windows 10 Insider Update, Build 14332, again on Wednesday
Just Ten Days after the last Build, getting one most every week now, got all Four Computers updated

And so, I planted the Poblano Peppers on Wednesday, looking for new Lettuce Pods on Friday
I checked my order online at Walmart... Said 'Ready for Pickup' so away I went... Looked for Seeds there first
They didn't have what I wanted so I trudged all the way back to the Pickup Counter and she couldn't find my Order
She checked all the Baskets at the Counter, then headed back inside somewhere to look more, No Go!
She asked if she could call me in an hour or so, I said it's a long way home and back, so she looked again
Checked every Basket behind the counter again and there it was.... Oh yeah, such efficiency!

Then I trotted next door to Lowes for my Seeds, had a Beet 'Seed Tape' so I got that... Easy way to plant
And I got some more white Radish seeds for later, I'll make some Seed Tapes with them at Home
And a Facebook friend Diane asked if I had planted Melons, well no, so I got some Cantaloupe Seeds

And then back at el Ranchito... Unpacked and then planted three of the Seven Lettuce Pods in Garden 3
Now I am waiting for a new Poblano Pepper Crop and a new Lettuce Crop... And to make Radish Seed Tapes

~ Lots more Lettuce Pods ~ Lettuce Planted in Garden 4 ~

And later, when one of my Crops is Harvested, find a place to plant those Cantaloupe Seeds
Maybe I can do that in the Tomato Bed after I pull all the Beets now in that one

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And now... Friday Morning, Pay Day tomorrow... HURRAY! But what for Friday? Off to Lowes first thing
One of my Facebook Friends asked if I grew Melons, well I have, had not planned to this year
I bought Cantaloupe Seeds at Lowes on Thurssday, woke up early Friday morning thinking where to plant them
I have things already in my Garden Beds and not nuch room in them for Melons anyway and so...
I will run over to Lowes for some Fencing and make a Melon 'Cage' for them, needs Fencing to keep the Deer out
And black Underlayment to make the Melons grow better and keep the bugs off the bottoms

And so, a busy planting Day Thursday and a busy construction and planting Day ahead for Friday...
Off we go again.... CHARGE!

~ And another Rainy Night ~
~ But a Nice Sunny Afternoon ~

~ 2 p.m. Wednesday ~ See why I moved the Beds Down the Hill? ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Wednesday Morning, up at 6 a.m. Poured my Apple Juice, checked my Bank, Facebook and my Email...
Finished Tuesday's BLOG, posted that, did some checking around on the Internet
Added a couple things to Facebok, made a few Comments about what -I- think about certain things
So many unqualified to do so, giving unwanted advice to any and all... so sad...
Anyway, time flies and it was 7:30 a.m. before I realized I had not poured my Coffee!

So I did that, now starting on Wednesday's BLOG and then I'll work a couple of online Crosswords
Woke up Wednesday Mornng at 1 a.m. or so to more Thunder and Lightnng, went on for a long time
I could hear the Rain, if it keeps on it will wash us down to the Missouri River... ENOUGH!
I checked the Weather, 58 Degrees at 7:30 a.m. and saying T-Storms for the next EIGHT DAYS!

Seems it did that for some time last year and really cut my Garden Harvest short with little success
I sure hope that Monsoon period does not happen this Year, my Garden has such a good start now

~ Basil from Garden 4 ~ Cilantro from Garden 1 ~

And on through the 'Not so much going On' Day, took a walk out back, got that Photo of the 'No Sun' up on the Hill
And looking down on why I moved the Garden Beds down to get some of that afternoon Sun

Then I was chatting away with Sigi on Messenger, exchanging Insults, told him I was going up the Hill to check my Mail
I was hoping my new Poblano Pepper Pods were there... and they were... HAH! Something to do
So I started on the process of removing the old Crop and planting the new one, Lettuce out, Peppers in
Quite a Hervest of Lettuce still in Garden 7 but the Plants were starting to get stringy, so out it went

~ Last Lettuce Crop from Garden 7 ~

So I harvested that last bumper Crop of Lettuce, stored it in the Fridge for Dinner later and started on the Peppers
Then removed the clipped Lettuce Pods, emptied the Grow Bowl and rinsed it out, refilled with clean water and Nutrient
Then in with the Plant Spacers and Pepper Pods and the one replacement Lettuce Pod that really never got growing
I'll give it a chance to recover and see if maybe I get a few more Lettuce Leaves

~ Poblano Pepper Pods to Plant ~ And Planted April 27 ~

So that was a busy enough Day on Wednesday, now Thursday and Two Days from Pay Day, I just might make it
No rain overnight that I could hear but saying cooler and cloudy today, my Plants don't like that
No plans yet, one AeroGarden waiting for my Lettuce Pod shipment, Walmart saying Friday
So I'll just have to see what shows up to keep me interested Today... Off again!

~ Rainy to Start the Day on Tuesday ~
~ Sunshine and Warming at 1 p.m. ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Sweet Potato getting ready to Vine and Climb ~ So I Showed it the Way ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Woke up at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday Morning to Thunder and Lightning and then pitter patter of Rain
Up at 6 a.m. to start Computering and Coffeeing, Weather Forecast said Warm and partly Sunny
Then around 7 a.m. Chatting wth Sigi on Messenger, heard rumbles, is that a Plane or Thunder?
More runbles... No, that's Thunder, not supposed to Rain but it started pouring down for quite a long time
So we didn't need all that but we have all that and it will be a wet dark Morning

And got that Pic of the Sweet Tater on Monday, looking good now, a couple cold nights set it back
I had to cover it with a Bucket a few Nights but it survived and now looks ready to Climb

And so, what's on the Agenda for the rest of the Day? Well, beats me, started Raining again at 8 a.m.
Guessed I could take a swim up to the Price Chopper to win some Money, Pay Day is Saturday and I need it
And so, searching for my Fortune, off to the Price Chopper for $20 worth of Lottos and won $20
That is not how you play the Lotto Game, back to trade for $20 More and won $20 back, still where I started
Back again to trade in that $20 of Wins, got $20 more and only won $5 back, loss for the Day of $15
So I took that $5 back to trade for one more $5 Ticket, lost that, so loss for the Day again was $20... Oh Woe!

Then, what to do? Outside to tie Strings on the Sweet Potato Vines to lead them to the Trellis
That will be something else to watch as it climbs up and up and maybe makes some Sweet Potatoes in the pot
In 2014 I had a Sweet Potato in that Pot that climbed to the Deck above and produced 10 Sweet Potatoes

~ Sweet Potato Plant in the Pot in 2014 ~

What else? Looks like the Basil in Garden 4 and the Cilantro in Garden 1 need snipping again
That Genovese Basil is very productive, more so than the Thai Basil to the right in Garden 4
So I snipped more Basil and Cilantro, snipped off the Leaves from the Stems and dried it to store

~ Basil and Cilantro needed Snipping Again ~

Then up the Hill again to check the Crops, Radishes, Beets, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Turnips, Swiss Chard
Most looking better every Day now, decided to thin the Radishes, some were shading the Cucumbers
Not much size on some but they nake a tasty bite anyway, I was never great at growing Radishes

~ Harvested a few more Radishes ~

I was pulling those Radishes when Boss Bob Owner/Manager stopped by with a nice Check, paying for the Bushes
He paid the Cost of the Bushes plus a nice Bonus for planting them, he calls me his 'Greenskeeper' now

And on to the Day and Evening, clouding up again and Weatherman threatening Storms
I decided to try one of those Special Prize Burgers for Dinner, and the fresh Radishes on the Side
The Burger was fine and the Radishes even better, tiny but so tasty, I think I should replant some
I had a couple Red Radishes from the Price Chopper along with my White ones, and the white one were so much better!

So overall, Tuedsday was a good Day... and maybe an even better one for Wednesday?

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~

~ A Quick Trip to Walmart ~
~ Then a Walk around the Gardens ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Dwarf Spruce Trees grew about 6 Inches ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The usual morning Routine and Runaround, then off to Walmart for a few things
Not my favorite place to Shop but they have some really good prices on a few of my regular items
And they keep raising my Credit Limit on my Walmart Card and I can get Cash Advances on it too
So I got my Goodies and headed back by the Price Chopper, won $10 back on my daily Gamble

And what was planned for Monday? I thought I would water first thing but we got a nice Shower Sunday Night
Cloudy bright about 1 p.m. Had to go out and check a few things, and that Rain sure did help
The Popcorn Roses are Popping, the Knock Out Roses are getting ready for Round One
Radishes are looking even better and we will soon have Beets to pull then Pickle
My home pickled Beets are so much better than any you can get at the Price Chopper!

~ Popcorn Rose Popping ~ Knockout Rose Busting Out ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ April 02 ~ April 25 ~ Plants are Growing Nicely ~

And so it was a really nice outside Weather Day and mostly just a checking the Plants Day
No Gardening Day, I did clip a little Brush up on the Hill but too muddy up there to do much else
The Mowing Crew did come by late in the Day to mow back there... But I want to mow a few places they do not

I had my Margarita out on the Veranda watching the Girls move in upstairs, and the Birdies fly by
Then it was TV Time and then Dinner with 'Bates Motel' on the TV and then late to Bed... Bye Bye...

~ Chard to move to the Pot ~ Moved to the Pot ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sunday Morning, starting out like I like it, bright Sun, 67 Degrees, heading to 81 he says
And what shall we find to do today? Was pretty busy most all Day on Saturday
I left out the following Item on Saturday's Drivel Report, I'll start with that Gem of non News
After I snipped all the Biggest Leaves off the Chard in the Pot outside I attacked the Chard in Aerogarden 3

So, I have Seven new Lettuce Pods on the Way, where to plant them? Still some Cilantro in Garden 1
And some Basil doing fair in Garden 4, so, move the Chard from Garden 3 to Pots and plant some of the Lettuce in there
The Chard in the Pots is doing much better than that in the AeroGarden so out in front it goes
And in the Pot, you can see it is two different Colors, the lighter is 'Lucullus' and the other is 'Ruby Red'
Actually I like the Red colored Stems a litle better but the taste is about the Same

And the first Item of Business on Sunday after my Morning Routine was to clean up AeroGarden 3 for the new Crop
Just lift the Grow Tank off the Stand, empty it, rinse it out, clean it up a little
Set it back on the Stand and wait for the new Seed Pods to arrive then plant all over again
Waiting for the Lettuce Pods from Walmart, the Poblanos for Garden 7 coming from AeroGarden
The Lettuce replaces the Chard I had in Garden 3, the Poblanos replace the Lettuce I have now in Garden 7

OK, what else from Saturday? Sipping my Margarita, watching TV... What's that thing on the Wall behind the Shelf?
Took a closer look, looked like another Wolf Spider... Got a Photo, then carefully poked it with a broomstick
It just fell off the Wall to the Floor, I think it was already dead from the Bug Spray they used a few days ago
So that is Three Wolf Spiders in the last Two Days, and I have never seen one before in the 15 Years here

~ Third Wolf Spider, the Second one Inside ~

Ok then Sunday, again no plans... Weather starting out just Great... Sunny and T-Shirt Weather at 9 a.m.
Did my Lotto runaround for naught as usual lately, then I got a call from my Friend Pat
She said she had been reading my BLOG and saw that I said I was bored, well as usual when I have no Project Working
So she said She had seen my attemps at Gardening a few times, come on up and take a look at her Gardeb
Hey Hey! Something to make a Video of, so sure, I am on my way, packed my Video Camera and headed up the Hill
Up the Hill, around the Corner another Block and I was there, unloaded and began my Video and here it is

Spent some time wandering around in the Wildflowers getting some Video, then a seat to rest up and chat
And then back down the Hill up upload to the Computer and spent some time Editing and adding Titles and Music
Then I burned a Blu-ray DVD for Her, another for me, then set the file to upload to Vimeo
I had mixed a Margarita and sipped it while watching the Video on my TV, came out pretty good

So then, on to the Afternoon, watered a few things out front, thought I would water everything on Monday
But then during the Night I heard thunder so we must have gotten some Rain, might not have to water after all
That was about it for the rest of Sunday, a nice Dinner and off to bed, stayed up a little later
Now Monday Morning, a new Day, new week, off to more adventures in Parkville

~ Tomato Harvesting Day ~
~ And Radishes and Swiss Chard ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Three Mega Cherrys and Eleven Heirloom Cherrys ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

A brighter Day Dawning on Saturday, Weather Forecast looking good, and Sunny and 66 at 10:30 a.m.
No plans again, this is getting boring, so many Tech Toya so many Hobbies, and still bored so easily
Of course I could clean the Bathtub... but is that Fun time? I would rather dig Dirt outside

Anyway, have to tend to the wants of the AeroGardens first, Water me, Feed me, Harvest me
I like having that Garden 4 in the Kitchen now, brightens up the Room and easier to tend to
So, I added water to Garden 5 and then picked all the ripened Tomatoes, totaled Eleven dinkies
Then Three nicer Bigger ones in Garden 6, the Megas, the ones I'll plant if I do more some time

Saturday Mornng I ordered more Lettuce Pods from Walmart, have those Poblano Pods coming from AeroGarden
Thinking I'll plant Three Lettuce Pods in Garden 3 and the Poblano Peppers in Garden 7 when I pull all the Lettuce

Not sure when and what I will start next in Garden 1 and 4, the Small Three and Six Pod Gardens
I don't want to plant any more Herbs inside now, and I also have Herbs in three Pots outside doing great
So, I picked the Tomatoes, was having a late Breakfast watching TV News and a Tomato Branch fell out
A big load of Mega Cherry Tomatoes on that Branch, needed to tie it up before it broke off
A couple ties with Cord and then all back safely until the Tomatoes ripen... I hope...

~ Branch too Heavy, Fell Out ~ Tied up Waiting to Ripen ~

Peeked out the front Window when tying up the Tomato, what's that thing on the Sill, a Wasp was flying around it
Took a peek outside then, looked like another Wolf Spider, this one alive I thought, got a Photo
Then back out with some Wasp Spray, gave it a good Dose, later gone, don't know if the Spray got it or not

~ Another Wolf Spider? Hanging on the Front Window Sill ~

Then checking the Swiss Chard in the Pots out front, doing a lot better there than it did inside
I already had some leaves in the Freezer waiting, with these few more that should make a nice little Dish
So I snipped it, brought it in to Rinse and then took the Chard in the Freezer out to thaw

~ Swiss Chard in the Pots ~ On the Table ready to Cook ~

So then what? Had a bag of Trash to take to the Dumpster, did that then took a walk out back to check
Eveything still looking bigger and better, maybe some Radishes in there ready? Checked and pulled a few of the Bigger Ones
Rinsed them off, will trim and chill and they will go good wth a Burger or Sausage later

~ Radish Bed looking Good ~ A few Harvested for an early Treat ~

OK, 3 p.m. and that is enough of that, now bored with Gardening for the Day, mixed a Margarita
Then set out a Bratwurst to thaw for something to gnaw on with those fresh Radishes

And that was the Finale, sizzled up that Brat, on a Big Bakery Bun with Chopped Onion, Mustard and Horseradish
Some Potato Chips on the Side and those fresh crisp Radishes to chomp along with it, yeah that ws a good One fer sure<
Now off to a good, possibly better Sunday

~ A Not Much Happening Day ~
~ Moved an AeroGarden to the Kitchen ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ AeroGarden 4 moved to the Kitchen Shelf ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Friday again... Where did the Week Go? Well I did have a few busy Days this last Week
A chilly Morning, starting out Cloudy, then hazy Sun and then Sun breaking out bright now and then
Still only 58 Degrees at 11 a.m. but they said it was going to 73... whenever
Was hoping the Sun would come out nice and bright and stay that way all day, the Plants want Sun

So, again no plans, decided to move Garden 4 to the Kitchen, it was on the tall top Shelf in the Living Room
I had to stand on tip toe to check the Water Level there, easier to do than on the low Kitchen Shelf
Last plantings didn't so so good on thet bed, only the Genovese and Thai Basil grew much
One self seeded Pod did not germinate and Three others didn't do much at all
I tried an experiment in Garden 3, self seeded some Swiss Chard, only two germinated
I had Cilantro and Parsley on Garden one last time, snipped the Cilantro once, Parsley not doing much
So I have plenty of Herbs stored and they are boring to grow, I need to start something else in those gardens
Have to see what's available at Walmart (no shipping - Store pickup) to replant those three Gardens

And so, I had to move my TV Shelf in the Kitchen over to hook up the Garden 4 move
Underneath all curled up and dead was this big ugly Spider on the Floor, well they spray often here for bugs

~ Wolf Spider didn't survive in the Kitchen ~

And so that was about all the Happenings on Friday, Sunny but cool most all Day, no plans and not much action
So a late Lunch, Tater Soup later for Dinner and too much TV and Margaritas... Off to dreamland

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~

~ Another Drab Rainy Morning ~
~ Just did some more Garden Photos Inside ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Oh Woe... Wunna them there Days again, cooler and cloudy out there, headed out to the Minit Mart
Got my Daily dose of Lottos, started a misty Rain on the way back, only won a dinky $5
Checked the weather, said light Rain until Noon, the Sun might peek out in the Afternoon
Well, we have had enough rain for the moment, need more Sun, looked like another inside Day
So, looked like a BORING Day ahead, couldn't think of any project as of 9:15 a.m.

Wondered what I could get for an opening Photo for this dose of Drivel... Had to look around
And settled on the Tomatos coming along in Garden 5 and 6, won't be long for the tiny 'Heirlooms'
The Mega Cherrys will follow a few Days after that, and so then, those Tomato Pics will do for an opener

And, I thought those Tomato AeroGardens were about ready to give out but have a lot more Blooms now
I was thinking I could just retire those gardens after the last Crop of Tomatoes were Harvested

~ Garden 5, Just below the Grow Light ~ Garden 6, Up to the Grow Light ~

Well I wanted to plant some 'Poblano' Pepper Pods in one, and just that instant decided to do that
See what happens when I get BORED? I just ordered a Poblano Pepper Seed Pod Kit from Aerogarden
And when it gets here, I'll harvest all the Lettuce in Garden 7 and start a new Crop!

~ Poblano Pepper Pod Kit on Order ~

Hoo Boy! Look out there now at 10:30 a.m. Bright Sun! ...Will that hang around awhile?
I hope so, my back Gardens want some more Sun... and still BORED at 10:45 a.m. Off to trade for some more Lottos
Headed to the Price Chopper in the welcome Sun, but that didn't last long, back to the Clouds again
And still kind of on the Cool side most all day, and my Lottos trade did no good, all losers

So then the Afternoon wore on, the Weather getting better and more Sun shining
I took a trot out back to check the Crops... I saw this wild Animal crouching in the Grass
He was 'Mewing' at me on the way past him, then on to check the Crops

~ Wild Cat in the Grass ~

And they are doing as good as expected, better than last Year, had too much rain for too long then
Watching closely for Radishes, should have some ready soon, and the Beets are growing some
It will be some time befre I get any Tonatoes, Peppers or Eggplants... and Cucumbers
On up the Hill to the Pumpkin Patch, they are holding on but not Vining yet...

~ Pumpkin Plants doing OK... but not Great Yet ~

And then back in for the rest of the typical Afternoon except for findng any News
CNN and MSNBC spent most of the Day on reporting that Prince death and they did wring it all out
Finally got to to some News on Hardball and Fox 4 New, Kansas City for Cocktail Hour
Then found some Dinner and then on to dream of whatever most all Night

~ More Herb Harvesting ~
~ Just a Kick Back Inside Day ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ When will it Catch Up? ~ Replacement Pod planted April 9th ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And that was quite a Harvest of Herbs on Tuesday, now I see the Genovese Basil in AeroGarden 4 is ready to snip
I have more Herbs stored now than I can use in a Year... So, I'll just grow something else
Well, really I am already growing something else, inside and outside, Flowers and Vegetables
Out front I have Marigolds, Coleus, Cannas, New Zealand Impatiens, Popcorn Roses and Knock Out Roses
A couple of Orange Trees, a Pot of Thai Basil, Cilantro, Mint and Oregano and a Sweet Potato in a Pot
And the Golden Barberry Bushes, and the 'Better Boys' Tomato Plant in a Pot and the new Dwarf Spruce Trees

And then at the side of the place, more Popcorn Roses and Rhubarb and the Rose I just transplanted
Then around in back in the Three Garden Beds, Radishes, Cucumbers, Peppers, Eggplants, Turnips, Swiss Chard
And in the Tomato Bed, as usual my Better Boys Tomatoes and some Beets on the way for Pickles<
And then way up on the Hill, the Pumpkin Patch, got none last Year, trying again this year

OK. let's get this Show on the Road... Getting tired of my Ears being tickled so I headed to the Shear Palace
Every few months I have to go in and get my ears lowered, something on top keeps growing

So I went there first, got that done and then a block away to the Price Chopper to get my Lottos
Got my Lottos, said Hi to Rion and headed back to scratch off a $15 Win... Better than nuthin
And I needed some Sandwich stuff so I headed back to trade Lottos and then get my goodies

So I got some Lottos, got some Cheese... on sale... got some Baloney... on sale... some Lime Juice.. not on sale
And back home to scratch off only a $5 Win... Bah! Humbug... on to the Day

OK, Then AeroGarden 4 was blinking away, signaling Feed Me... Water Me... And the Basil says 'Harvest Me'
So I snipped all the largest Leaves, more coming on, I like the Genovese (Italian) Basil best
Has those bigger leaves, easier to snip than the Thai Basil, and I like the Scent a bit better
But after Drying I mix it all together in the same Contaner, pretty much the same taste... (I think)
I still have some Thai Basil outside in a Pot and this one Inside, wont need to plant more for a long time

~ Genovese Basil Ready ~ Snipped to Dry ~

And then I fed and Watered the AeroGarden, hit Reset and away we go to something else
And the something else was to mix a Margarita and think up something good for Dinner

~ BBQ Smoked Pork Sandwich ~

And then the something good for Dinner was Smoked BBQ Pork on a Brat Bun with BBQ Beans and Napa Cabbage Slaw
And a good night was had by all

~ After the Rain has Ended ~ After the Break of Morn ~
~ Herb Harvesting Day at Rancho Patito ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Better Boys Tomato Plant Blooming ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Tuesday Morning... What to do on Tuesday? 55 Degrees at 8 a.m. going to 70, saying Cloudy all Day
First off to the Minit Mart for Lottos, won $15, a $5 Loss, well better than nothing
Then at 9 a.m. the Sun was peeking out now and then, Probably too wet and muddy out back
But I took a hike back there to check on things, most everything looking better after the Rain
Some of the Radishes are getting big, the Beets looking better, the Chard coming along
The 'Inside Started' Cucumbers are doing well too, along with the new Peppers and Eggplants
And... oh yeah, the Turnips seem to like being thinned, growing better now

I had some extra little Fence sections, I put a little Fence around my adopted Rose Bush
That should make the Mowers aware of the Rose just in case they were coming too close on that Corner

~ Put a Decorative Fence around my Transplanted Rose Bush ~

Looking a little better out there around 11 a.m. Some hazy Sun peeking out a bit more
The Garden up on the Hill needs that, also that hill is too muddy to navigate for me like that
And so, boring again with no projects so I decided to go trade my $15 of Winners, for more chances
This time to the Fast Stop, picked up three more Lottos, and won $5 back on One and $15 on the other
So then I had my original $20 back, no wins or losses, well, that is not what the Game is about
I am looking for that Pot Of Gold that will pay off all my Accounts and buy me a new Mercedes
So... Let's go back and try again... after all, it is only Money... Right, Herr Sigi?

Well then, too wet to do anything more out back, what else can we keep busy at... Hmmmmm... Those Herbs?
I haven't done much of anything with the Herb Crops lately, time to take care of that
So, the Cilantro in AeroGarden 1 needed Clipping again, and a few in Pots that I set outside earlier
So I started on the Cilantro in the Kitchen, easiest one to Harvest right inside
Snipped the Stems, then clipped the Leaves, then into the Oven to Dry

~ Cilantro to Snip ~ Snipped ~ Ready to Dry ~

And then back outside, snipped some of that Thai Basil not long ago but looked like it needed clipping again too
So I set the pot on my lttle Stool and clipped away, and got quite a Harvest of Basil Leaves to Dry and Store, into the Oven

~ Thai Basil to Snip ~ Snipped ~ Ready to Dry ~

OK, what next? First Harvest of the Oregano I started inside in a Pot, then outside and then looked ready to Harvest
And I snipped off a lot of the Leaves, big and small, then clipped them off, on to a Plate and into the Oven with the Cilantro

~ Oregano to Snip ~ Snipped ~ Ready to Dry ~

OK, finally the Mint, Started that in a Pot inside too, then out in front, clipped some earlier, had it in the Freezer for later
So then I snipped off the largest Leaves and then into a container and into the Freezer, not all... Planning a Mint Julep to try

~ Mint to Be Snipped ~ Ready to Freeze ~ And Some to make a Mint Julep ~

And so that took me into late Afternoon, no plans but I did keep busy all day anyway
Only thing left to do was a Cocktail, Dinner and off to Bed

~ Just another Rainy Day ~
~ A Visit from Pat ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Second Crop of Clantro ready for Havest ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

So as I wrote in my Sunday BLOG, on Monday Morning at 6:30 a.m. and in a light Rain I finished my Transplant
It took something like most of an Hour and I did get a little wet out there but got the Job done
So, the first part of the Morning was quite productive and even a little fun, I like to plant
But the problem with having a busy, active, productive Day is the Day after when there is nothing much to do
And on top of that a drab and Rainy Day, boredom sets in early on a Day like this Monday was
A little bit of fun was to run out to try for a Big Winner but that didn't wotk either, only a $5 win

Not much to do outside then either, most everything planted out front that will be planted
And the Plants all trimmed for the present in the Beds too... and so... Well I could mow on the Hill
I want to do some of that to clear out some of the Weeds there, but can't do that on a rainy muddy Hillside
What else is there to do at 10:00 a.m. on Monday? Well go eat a late Breakfast...

So we had that light rain most all of the Morning, nice slow steady rain, good for the Garden
The rain had lightened up just about Noon, sometime after than I got a call from Pat, back from Arizona
She said she would like to come over and visit and get caught up with my Garden and Chat
And she came down the Hill, walked over from her place a few Blocks away, the Rain had pretty well stopped

So we had a nice long afternoon visit, catching up with her trip and garden talk and whatever
I had mixed my Manhattan about 2 p.m. She accepted a Dos Equis Cervesa while we chatted
She had to leave about 4 p.m for the trudge up the Hill to go back to take care of her Menagerie at home
I gave her a pack of the Prize Polish Sausages I got from the Missouri Lottery to sample, I have enough left for a couple Onths

By then it was wind up time for the Afternoon and on into the Evening hours with my TV
I finished off the Day with one of my Polish Sausages on a Brat Bun, more of that Potato Salad... yummy!

So, today, Tuesday, the Rain stopped and will be warm but they say Cloudy all day, my Garden would like some Sun
The only plans I had at 6 a.m. were to snip that Cilantro and then dry it for storage
But hopefully something will show up to keep me interested the rest of the Day

~ Thinned the Beets, Turnips and Radishes ~
~ Started a new Landscaping Project next Door ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Thinned the Beets ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Another nice Day, Sunny and 68 Degrees at 10 a.m. And just won $10 on Lottos
Or should I say I just lost $10 on Lottos, both facts... Actually a $10 loss for the Day
Headed for the Price Chopper first thing, needed a bottle of triple Sec for my Margaritas
And got those loser Lottos from Rion and he gave me a stack of loser Tickets to enter for Prizes too

Then out in back again to do some thinning in the Garden Beds, first the Beets in the Tomato Bed (above)
Next the Turnips in the back of the Pepper Bed, then the Radishes in the Cucumber Bed

~ Turnips and Radishes thinned ~

And then nothing else to do, getting Bored, so what about that dying Rose Bushes next Door
I had talked earlier to Boss Bob about replacing them with something, now I was ready
And so off to Lowes agan to hunt for something suitable but reasonably priced like my Dwarf Spruce
I already had planted some Boxwoods and Popcorn Roses there, the Dwarf Spruce wouldn't fit in too well
So I looked around, found a couple Boxwoods like the ones I already had planted earlier
Toted those oput to the Blazer, loaded jup and headed back to Parkville, ready to Dig

~ Landscaping Project for Wednesday ~

Back at el Ranchito, dropped off the Bushes next Door, then to my place to take over some Tools
One Rose Bush was pretty far gone, the other tryng to make a comeback, decided to replant it
So I went back behind my Rhubarb Bed and dug a deep Hole for it, then dug up the Bush
Set it in the Hole and put about a bucket of Potting Soil around it then filled it in and watered it
That Scotts Miracle-Gro Potting Soil might give ut a boost so it can come back strong

~ The Rose to go Here ~ The Rose in There ~

Then time to attack the planting of the new Bushes, the Hole needed to be deeper and wider
I think that's why the Roses didn't do well, the rocky had soil in the previous place they were
That is the toughest part, was soil for about Ten Inches down then all heavy pebbles at the bottom
So I dug and prodded with my Spading Fork, after quite a lot of poking got the Hole big enough
Then I set the Bush down in the Hole, added a Bucket of Potting Soil and covered it up, one down one to go

~ Bush to go There ~ The Bush is in There ~

And I finished planting the first Bush about 4 p.m. and that was more than enough for me
So I headed back in for a Cocktail, some TV Catchup and finish out the Evening wth Dinner

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Now... Monday Morning at 6:15 a.m. Caught up by BLOG with Sunday, now going back out to finish the Job
I would like to have it done before Boss Bob gets here, see how long it takes for him to notice it
And I'll add the latest Photos and catch up when I get finished... On to the Challenge I go!

Checked the Weather, warm enough but said light Rain, peeked out, very light rain, so on with the Project
I left most all my tools there so I started right in, and easier then the first one, went faster
Dug out the old Bush, trashed it, deepened the Hole, set in the Bush, put Potting Soil around it
Rakes back the Soil, then the Mulch and VOILA! All done at 7:30... even put a Fence around the Rose Bush in back

~ View from the Porch ~ Now Isn't that Better? ~

Oh then, 8:00 a.m. I'll post this and get started on a nice wet Monday

~ One More Trip to Larry's Nursery ~
~ And a Busy Saturday Morning ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Another Canna and more Marigolds from Larry's ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Not many plans for Saturday, I thought, so off to Minit Mart, got my Lottos and a Tank of Gas
Stopped by the Price Chopper on the way back for some Epoxy, wanted to use that on my Fountain Hanger
So I worked my Lottos first, nicer than Friday, a $15 Profit... Then out to work on the Fountain
I mixed up the Epoxy, spread it around the Hanger I made to hang the Fountain, give it more strength

Then I had an empty Pot and Planter out front, decided to go back to Larry's again
First back to the Price Chopper to Cash in that $35 win, buy $15 more Lottos then head to Riverside
Quite a Crowd at Larry's... well time to plant and it was a Saturday so... But I got in and out fast
I picked up another Canna and Six Marigolds and headed back to Parkville

Then out front, planted the Canna in the remaining empty Pot, then the Marigolds in the last Planter
Now there is something planted in every Pot and Planter I have, inside and out, the Garden has arrived!

~ Latest Addition to the Flowers ~

Then to that leaky Fountain, the Epoxy had set up so I hung it on the Wall, put in some Water and no Leaks!
Success after Four or Five times trying this and that, then I got a silly Idea, make the Water Blue
How? Well I had a Blue Marker Pen, clipped off the end and stuck it in the top Cup, Water turned Blue OK
But as the Water ran it kept getting more Blue and stained the Front of the Fountain, that ain't gonna do!
So, how ya fix that? Emptied the Blue Water with a Siphon, then added a half Gallon with a Cup of Bleach
After awhile it Bleached out all the Blue and even cleaned it up better than before... Again... WAH LAH!

~ Before Spring Cleaning ~ After Cleanup ~ Dumb Blue Water Idea ~ After Bleaching ~

So then I siphoned out the Bleach Water and refilled it with fresh water for the Birdies, if and when
I saw the new Neighbor out front, looked like he was spraying the dying Rose bush in front
Walked over to tell him it was useless, was thinking about replacing it anyway
But he was spraying his BBQ Grill behind the Plant, not the Rose, anyway we had some chat
He and his Roomie have just moved here from Iowa for their Jobs in this Area, nice neighbors
I went back in and sacked up a couple of my Prize Burgers and four big Hot Dogs for them to Sample

And then winding up the Day outside, I dragged the hose back around front and watered everything again
Then back inside for the rest of that Gorgeous Day, had a big Brat thawing out for dinner, made some Potato Salad
Grilled that huge Bratwurst in my Cast Iron Skillet dished up some Salad, pretty good Chow
That Brat from MO Lotto and big Bakery Brat Bun from the Price Chopper were more than enough for Dinner

~ Doesn't look a Big as it Was, Brat with Mustard and Horseradish ~

So that was about it for Saturday, might run out back again to water back there
And the Turnips need thinning when I get around to it, everything back there responding to the warmer Weather now
So on to a new Day, I don't think Sunday will be as busy as Saturday, but ya never know

~ Halfway Through April ~
~ Another Mo Lotto Prize Delivered Thursday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ A Total of 56 Burgers and Sausages from the Missouri Lottery! ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Had so much stuff to write about on Thursday that I didn't mention the latest loser Lotto Prize
Sitting there watching TV, sipping my Margarita, saw the big Brown Truck coming down the hill
I thought he was coming Friday, I read the Email wrong, it was my Mo Lotto Cooler full of Goodies
The biggest Cooler yet, I've had Prizes that cost more Points but none with such a big Box
So, I dragged it in, opened it, spread out the Goodies on my Coffee Table for a Photo
Then straightend up a few things in my Freezer and then stored it all in there... 56 Dinners coming

OK then, Friday Morning, a peek at the Weather Report, saying 55 Degrees, now, that the Plants can live with
And back into the 70s again for Friday and -I- can live with that, need to run out in back and Water first thing

Other than the Watering in back, no plans yet for the Day except try my Lottos again, but something will show up
I have most all the Flowers I want for the Front now and still have a Pot and one Planter empty
Oh yeah, one other thing, I checked my repairs on my leaky Fountain and DARN! A few drops coming from the Bottom
So, not sure what to do then, junk it and do without, try again to repair it?, was down to just a few drops here and there
Maybe get a Can of external Polyurethane and coat the entire Bowl inside? Oh well

So a catch up on my BLOG at 1 p.m. Friday, a busier Morning than I had planned, but that's how it goes
Started first at the Price Chopper got more loser Lottos, still in the losing streak
Time to fill the Hummingbird Feeders too and I put some Sugar Syrup on to boil for the Feeders
Then hooked up the Hose to Water out back, first gave the new Dwarf Spruce next door a drink
And I hadn't replaced that leaky spray Nozzle yet and it was spraying out all over the place
Anyway I dragged the Hose out back to start watering the Beds and soon gave up on that, didn't need a cold shower

So then I thought I would work on the Fountain, thought I had a Can of Urethane to try on it
Popped open the Can, No Go, it had solidified, what else, AHA! A old Can of Rustoleum, all thickened up
I took that out front and poured it all over inside the Fountain Bowl, let it dry a couple Days and see it that works

Then on to the Watering problem, headed to Walmart, needed a few other things, picked up a spray Nozzle for cheap
Picked up the other Items and headed back... Then filled up the Hummingbird Feeders and hung them out
Next out to screw on the new Nozzle and turn on the Hose and water the Beds, works great, better than the old one
Then on the way back in, noticed the Rhubarb was ready for some more Snipping, snipped off the bigger Stems
Then cut it up and stored it in the Freezer with the earlier Harvest.. and on to the afternoon

~ Rhubarb Growing Fast ~ More Snipped and stored for Pie ~

And another glorious Afternoon it was and not much more to do outside even in that fine Weather
I put out one of my new Prize Sausages to thaw for later, needed some Brat Buns, headed back to the Price Chopper
Got a couple more Items too including my favorite $3 Lotto, won $3 back, need to trade tha in Today
Now lessee what that all for the Day? Nope, decided to edit a little Garden Start Video to irritate Sigi
Did the Video the Day before but didn't finish the editing, not such a good one, didn't take much time at it
I just wanted something to compare with later when the Plants get going good

OK, Saturday Morning now and I need some Gas and some Lottos and a peek at my Gardens... OFF WE GO!

~ Moved all the Plants Outside ~ Except AeroGardens ~
~ More Flowers from Larry's Again ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ A Few more little Tomatoes from Aerogarden 5 ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, I picked those Tomatoes from Aerogarden 5 on Tuesday but forgot to add them to the Page
Those 'Heirloon Cherry' Tomato plants sure took a long time to produce anything
And even after these I think the Total so far was just 14 with these last harvested 11 here
The 'Mega Cherry' Tomatoes in Garden 6 did a lot better, like about 30 larger ones so far

And then out back on Wednesday a view of the back side of the Garden Beds after the latest Transplants
I forgot to add these shots to my Wednesday BLOG, not that they are all that spectacular

~ Tomato Bed ~ Pepper Bed ~ Cucumber Bed ~

And as of Wednesday, most all the Plants I want were in the Back Garden beds for now
And then just about half of the Flower Plants I want for out front were planted already...
I needed another trip to Larry's for more Cannas, New England Impatiens and Coleus for the Pots I have left
I planted the stuff out front on Wednesday still just a little early, wanted to see how they did before adding more

And then all that other stuff in the Pots I had inside, I put them all out front, the Herbs in Pots
The Tree Seedling I think is a Bradford Pear, the two little Orange Trees I planted from an Orange last Year

~ Pear Tree? ~ Orange Trees ~

A couple Pots of Swiss Chard I experimented with and the Thai Basil, Oregano, and Mint Plants I had in Pots inside
Looks like the Basil and Oregano need to be trimmed some, harvested some of the basil a few Days back

~ Oregano ~ Thai Basil ~ Mint ~

And after several nights battling the 30s Temps, the Sweet Potato looks like it is going great again
The one in the Pot in 2014 grew to the Deck Rail above and produced 10 Sweet Potatoes

~ Sweet Potato Plant ~ Looking Good Again ~

And then what? Checked the Plants out back, most all look good except the Pumpkins, look kind of pale and going nowhere
Maybe that last Cold Night gave them a setback... Oh well, if they don't pep up, I have more Seeds
So then, all the Inside Plants out front except for the AeroGardens, a couple shelves now look a but bare
And still needng a few mre Flowers, checked the empty Pots and then headed back to Larry's Nursery
Picked out Two more Cannas, Two more New Zealand Impatiens and a Three Pack of Coleus, then planted all of that

~ Did We Need more Stuff ~ Well We Got More Stuff ~

And so, just a few empty pots left now, have to dream up something else to plant in them whenever
After planting all the new Stuff I got out my Watering Can, watered everything out fornt again
And so far, everything out front is doing fine.. even the scrawny looking Swiss Chard pepped up

Then on to the afternoon TV catchup, Harvested more Lettuce, had a Pork Chop and wilted Lettuce again
Very nice Day over all, lots to keep me busy and fine weather again... On to Friday and then the weekend

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~
