~ Moved all the Plants Outside ~ Except AeroGardens ~
~ More Flowers from Larry's Again ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ A Few more little Tomatoes from Aerogarden 5 ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, I picked those Tomatoes from Aerogarden 5 on Tuesday but forgot to add them to the Page
Those 'Heirloon Cherry' Tomato plants sure took a long time to produce anything
And even after these I think the Total so far was just 14 with these last harvested 11 here
The 'Mega Cherry' Tomatoes in Garden 6 did a lot better, like about 30 larger ones so far

And then out back on Wednesday a view of the back side of the Garden Beds after the latest Transplants
I forgot to add these shots to my Wednesday BLOG, not that they are all that spectacular

~ Tomato Bed ~ Pepper Bed ~ Cucumber Bed ~

And as of Wednesday, most all the Plants I want were in the Back Garden beds for now
And then just about half of the Flower Plants I want for out front were planted already...
I needed another trip to Larry's for more Cannas, New England Impatiens and Coleus for the Pots I have left
I planted the stuff out front on Wednesday still just a little early, wanted to see how they did before adding more

And then all that other stuff in the Pots I had inside, I put them all out front, the Herbs in Pots
The Tree Seedling I think is a Bradford Pear, the two little Orange Trees I planted from an Orange last Year

~ Pear Tree? ~ Orange Trees ~

A couple Pots of Swiss Chard I experimented with and the Thai Basil, Oregano, and Mint Plants I had in Pots inside
Looks like the Basil and Oregano need to be trimmed some, harvested some of the basil a few Days back

~ Oregano ~ Thai Basil ~ Mint ~

And after several nights battling the 30s Temps, the Sweet Potato looks like it is going great again
The one in the Pot in 2014 grew to the Deck Rail above and produced 10 Sweet Potatoes

~ Sweet Potato Plant ~ Looking Good Again ~

And then what? Checked the Plants out back, most all look good except the Pumpkins, look kind of pale and going nowhere
Maybe that last Cold Night gave them a setback... Oh well, if they don't pep up, I have more Seeds
So then, all the Inside Plants out front except for the AeroGardens, a couple shelves now look a but bare
And still needng a few mre Flowers, checked the empty Pots and then headed back to Larry's Nursery
Picked out Two more Cannas, Two more New Zealand Impatiens and a Three Pack of Coleus, then planted all of that

~ Did We Need more Stuff ~ Well We Got More Stuff ~

And so, just a few empty pots left now, have to dream up something else to plant in them whenever
After planting all the new Stuff I got out my Watering Can, watered everything out fornt again
And so far, everything out front is doing fine.. even the scrawny looking Swiss Chard pepped up

Then on to the afternoon TV catchup, Harvested more Lettuce, had a Pork Chop and wilted Lettuce again
Very nice Day over all, lots to keep me busy and fine weather again... On to Friday and then the weekend

~ Cucumber Transplanting Day! ~
~ And More FLowers from Larry's ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Cucumber Seedlings to Transplant Wednesday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

First the Usual trip to the Price Chopper to trade in a $6 Ticket for more Losers, Guess I am not living right
But then back to el Ranchito to start on the Days Planting Plans, boxed up the Cuke Seedlings
Then out back to start in the Cucumber Bed where the Radishes had been planted and Growing
I had to pull up a few Radishes to make room for the Seedlings, planted about Six plants in there
Then next to the Pepper Bed and planted the rest of the Seedlings, they can climb the Bed Ends if they survive
Then a few Photos from the back side of the Beds, now mostly all planted for the Season
I will maybe plant something in the Cucumber Bed after I pull all the Radishes
Then I will have to see how the Cucumbers grow in the Pepper Bed, will plant Seeds there if they don't make it

~ Cucumber Seedlings Transplanted in the Ends of the Pepper Bed ~

It was necessary to sacrifice a few Radishes to make room for the Cuke Seedlings in the Cucumber Bed
And then all done back there and back in, then Sunny and 60 Degrees and the Day's Plans done, then what?

~ A few more Days and I could have had this one for Dinner ~

So around Noon time and out of things to plant for the Moment, what else is there to do?
Well now, nice warm day and the rest of the Week, back to Larry's Nursery for more Flowers
Picked out Two nice New Zealand Impatiens, a couple of Cannas to be, and Nine Coleus Plants<

~ The Latest Loot from Larry's Nursery ~

And back to Parkville to plant the latest goodies, needed some of that new Potting Soil I bought
I mised a Margarits first to sip, kind of dry after that planting our back earlier
Then planted the Two Impatiens, they most always look good, then the Cannas, not Blooming yet but they will
Last Wwo Planters with Four Coleus Plants each and one left over for a single Pot

~ Double this for the Latest Plant Lineup on the Veranda ~

Done with that Play Time Project, all that dry Potting soil will need some watering later in the Day
But one more repair Job for out front, still hadn't got that leak in my Fountain stopped
I noticed where the small drip was coming from, a crack in the Bottom edge, so I thought I would try Glue
Back to the Price Chopper for a tiny bottle of 'Krazy Glue', says it sticks to everything
So I took the Fountain off the Wall, turned bottom up and filled every crack I could see in the Bottom
I could see the Glue setting up as I dripped it in, I think that this just might fix it this time

And that was just about it for Wednesday... Now... What for Thursday?

~ Replacement Lettuce Pod is Up after Three Days ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Is there a brighter Day ahead? I sure hope so, it is Back Garden Planting Day!
But BRRRRRRRRRR! 35 Degrees at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday Morning... But supposed to be the last Freeze
I have been checking the Forecasts, and also Mike Thompson, Fox 4 Weatherman, said it 'should be' the last Freeze...
The Active Word was 'SHOULD BE', that sure ain't no promise but when did Mother Nature ever follow the Rules?

Anyway, first thing I took a look at the new replacement Lettuce Pod in AeroGarden 7 after Planting on April 9th
And tall enough already to take off the 'Grow Dome'... Now it has some catching up to do

9 a.m and Bright Sun and 47 Degrees, time to head to the Price Chopper for my Fortune
Traded in a $3 Ticket, Spent $20 on Four more, back home to win $25... Not much profit there
And then a late breakfast, how about a Sammich, Snipped a pile of my Lettuce, sliced two small Tomatoes
Then Cheese, Balogney, Lettuce, Tomatoes and Spin Blend on Whole Wheat Bread, quite Tasty... Yeah!
And then at 10:30 a.m. still bright Sun but only 49 Degrees, time to start on my Gardening anyway

10:45 a.m. and then 51 Degrees, felt warmer out in that Sun, went next Door to Water the new Dwarf Spruce
Then, back out front to plant a 'Better Boys' Tomato plant in the Big Pot, now watch that climb to the Sky!

~ Better Boys Tomato in the Big Pot Again ~

Next out back and with a light Jacket on, to plant the rest of the Tomatoes, didn't take long to get that Jacket off
Then planted the other Four Pepper Plants and the Eggplants in the next Bed... Finito!
All done and back in at 12:45, now what can I find to do? Well go trade in that $25 of Scratcher Winners

~ Better Boys Tomatoes ~ Big Bertha Peppers and Eggplants ~

What else needs done out there? Prbably wouldn't hurt to Water everything, no Rain lately
Hooked up the Hose and back out in that Sun again at 12:45 p.m. Then at 54 Degrees, where is that 62 they promised?
Started out back with my watering, Radishes, Cucumbers, then Peppers, Eggplant and Seedlings in the next Bed
Next the Tomato Bed and what's this! Two of the Tomato Plants were drooping, didn't look good at all

Anyway, watered them and then way up the Hill to Water the Pumpkin Patch, then around front
At that time Boss Bob showed up, I asked him if he noticed the new Landscaping yet, he hadn't
But he looked around, saw the new Dwarf Spruce next door... That? he says... Yep... Ya like it?
Sure do he says and pulled out a $20 Bill for me... a little profit there, cost me $17.50

Then I watered everything that seemed to need it, then back inside for my Margarita and the rest of the afternoon
That was about it for the Day all over again, did take a hike back to check those droopy Tomatoes
And they had pepped back up again and looked fine, now wonder how they did overnight?
On to another Wednesday Gardening Day now

~ Monday Monday! ~ I Love Monday ~
~ Won $40 and Bought my Garden Stuff ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ A Rare Lotto Scratcher ~ Won Every Number ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

49 Degrees at 6:30 a.m. Monday... But saying only a high of 59 for the Day
And another Freeze Warning for Monday Night, will this ever end? I think so after Monday Night
Anyway I'll hold off planting anything until Tuesday and then start on planting all the rest I have planned
So that means a Trip to Larry's Nursery on Tuesday and then some digging out back
Maybe Three Tomato Plants in the 'Tomato Bed', Four Green Pepper Plants and Two Eggplant Plants in the 'Pepper Bed'
Then I have quite a few Cucumber Plants Inside to put in the 'Cucumber Bed' and some in the Ends of the 'Pepper Bed'
And for the Front, One Tomato Plant in the Pot, then Cannas, Coleus and New Zealand Impatiens... What else?

For Monday only one thing planned as of the Morning, fill the Shaker with Sulphur and sprinkle around the Pumpkin Patch
I got some Sulphur on my Shoes and Jeans on Sunday, not a lot of Odor but you could tell I was there
Reminds me of burned out Fireworks on the 4th Of July, not a totally objectional Odor
I am just hoping it will deter the Varmints and Deer and Chiggers and whatever else invades my Garden

So I headed way up the Hill in the Cool 50 Degrees to sprinkle Sulfur Power around the Pumpkin Patch
Then back inside to toss my Jeans and Shoes and a few other things into the Washer to get the Sulphur off
Then did my Morning cleanup and headed to the Price Chopper for Lottos and then scratched off $40
And a rare win that was, got every Number but only totaled to $40.. But that's better than the last Three Days

And then... I decided to head to Riverside and Larry's Nursery, and he had some nice Stuff that I wanted
I got Two kinds of Eggplants, Four 'Big Bertha' Green Peppers and Four 'Better Boys' Tomatoes, came to $21.21
And then back to Parkville to set the Plants out front to get used to the colder Temps
And so... I shall plant them all on Tuesday... And the Garden is underway!

~ Tomatoes ~ Peppers ~ Eggplants ~

OK, what next, Bright Sun looked good but still chilly at 56 Degrees at 1 p.m. What else is there to do?
Well, the Cilantro in the Rehabbed AeroGarden One looked ready to snip some, first Crop since the rehab
And it looks like it still works so far, planted that Crop on March 4th just after I got it back from Pat

~ Cilantro Ready for Harvest ~ Cilantro Harvested ~

OK, the Cilantro in the Oven drying, what else is on the Agenda, kinda Bored at 1:30 p.m.
What about all that Chili in the Freezer, what can I do with that? AHA! Enchiladas! Haven't done that in a while
So, needed Corn Tortillas, Chedder/Jack Cheese, Enchilada Sauce... Back to the Price Chopper
And back to start on that tedious process, shred the Cheese, chop the Onions, soften the Tortillas
Dip the Tortillas in Enchilada Sauce, fill each one with Cheese and Onions, wrap and into the Pyrex dish
Then spread Chili on top and into the Oven for maybe 45 Minutes or so... and then Dinner later
Tried some for Dinner, did OK with that, now most of it wrapped up and back in the Freezer for whenever else

~ Some of my World Famous Enchiladas ~

So on to Tuesday... the last Sub freezing Morning, Mike Thompson says.. I hope he is right
Plans for Tuesday, plant one Tomato in the Pot out front then Three Plants in back, next the Pepper Bed
Have those four Green Peppers and two Eggplants to plant and then hope for no more Freezers? Ya think?

As always, every Day... Off to the New Day!

~ Gonna Be Some Grillin and Smokin Goin on in Parkville ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

HEY HEY HEY! Back to Springtime today! 57 Degrees at 8:30 a.m. The Garden will like that
Well now, I posted my Saturday Blog and then went back to entering Loser Lotto Tickets for Prizes
360 Points to go for my Lotto Prize and not sure if I had that many Tickets... BUT... at 8:20 a.m. I had 8,711 Points
And look what is now on the way to my Grill and Smoker!

The Ultimate Gourmet Grill: 8 (4 oz.) Gourmet Burgers, 8 (3 oz.) Gourmet Jumbo Franks, 8 (4 oz.) Omaha Steaks Burgers
8 (4 oz.) Gourmet Bratwurst, 8 (3 oz.) Polish Sausages, 8 (3 oz.) Italian Sausages and 8 (5 oz.) Pork & Bacon Burgers

And after entering all those Ticketa, I still have a stack about 1/2 Inch thick... Oh My!
So what for a much nicer Day in Parkville on Sunday... Just might head back to Lowes for more Flowers
Looking better every day out Front... Just see what I might find that looks good at Lowes

Headed to the Price Chopper first for my Lottos and brag about my Lotto Prize Order
Got mhy Lotts, headed back, scratched off NUTHIN! for thr Third Day in a Row
Then took a short Hike out back to check the Gardens, everything looked good, no more Cold Damage
Decided to run over to Lowes again, see what I could get to add out front, got some more Marigolds

Got Twelve Plants... Planted Four In Two Planters and the last Four in a Pot...
Next I need to run over to Larry's and get some Impatiens, Cannas and Coleus, that will probably do it

~ Two Planters and One More Pot added Sunday ~

Cloudy and threatening looking all Morning but Warm enough, then 71 Degrees at 3 p,m, and the Sun peeked out
I mixed a Margarita to do a BLOG Catchup, then thinking I should try some of that Sulphur Powder
I received Five Pounds in the Mail a few Days back but didn't get around to using it
And so, I got an old Garlic Salt Shaker and filled it with that Sulphur Powder, not much smell
And then I trotted out back, shaking Sulphur along the Side of the House on the way back
Then I sprinkled all around the outsides of the Three Garden Beds, emptied out the Shaker
Then I spent a few minutes thinning out the Turnips agsin, will take a couple more trips for that as they Grow
And then back inside at 4:30 p,m for the late Afternoon and Evening routine... What's for Dinner?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ New Pod in Garden 7 to Replace a Dud ~ When will it Catch Up? ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Saturday Mornng at 6 a.m. and 33 Degrees out there, Mike Thompson TV Fox 4 was predicting 25 this Morning
The record low was 24 Degrees, still could drop some before Sunrise but I hope it doesn't get any worse
I'll have to trot up the Hill to see what damage it might have caused and now STOP THIS COLD STUFF!

And so, back to Friday afternoon... That Seed Pod that Aerogro replaced finally showed up
And 8 Days after they promised to send it, I planted it in the Garden then, now see if it can catch up

And watching TV yesterday and checking over the Plants in Garden 5, The Jalapeno did OK until I removed it
But the 'Heirloom' Cherry Tomatoes haven't done much at all but now a few in there Ripening
Then the 'Mega' Tomato Plants in Garden 6, did much better, 30 Tomatos so far and a few more coming along
But the Plant has reached the maximum Grow Light height, nowhere to go now, and more Blooms on top
I want to plant Poblano Peppers in that Garden, now thinking of trying to transplant those old ones outside
I don't think there's much chance they will survive but they aren't going to produce much more where they are, sooo...

~ Tomato Plants on the Way Out in Garden 6 ~

So, finished up the Morning and headed out to the Price Chopper for Lottos, shudda stayed Home... No winners
And then what to do on a BORING Saturday Morning... It was COLD out there! and at 11:30 a.m. only up to 43 Degrees
As I said.. I am getting tired of this lingering COLD!... Go away... It is April after all

So, back to the Computer, Rion gave me a ton of old Draw Tickets, not many points each but I enter them
You get at least the Cost of Scratcher Tickets and sometimes a lot more, up to 50 Points n a $5 Ticket
Anyway I went back to entering the glut of Draw Tickets... Slowly increasing my Total of Points
I have decided on the next Prize I want, what they are calling 'Omaha Steaks Great Grillng Time' for 18,700 Points
A big Foam Cooler full of good Stuff for Grilling, for me to get set for some outdoor Cooking...
I then had 17,193 Points as of Noon on Saturday... watch them grow... however slowly to my Prize

AHA, Time Marches On... Just kept entering those boring tickets and then at 1:17 p.m. WAH LAH! 18,007 Points!
693 more to go, wondering if there were that many in the Stack I had left, well I'll enter a few more
Slow going... Here's a sample of what I have to enter on each ticket... 01GJ5 TZ2RJ M5100 B09Z2 78489
So I entered that Ticket and got 1 Point! Then I had 8,008 Points, see what I mean by slow going?

~ Entered this One for 6 Points ~ The Rest to be Entered ~

So I kept going, got thirsty about 2:15 p.m. Mixed me a Margarita, not the best choice while entering Lottos
I sipped about half of it and started making mistakes, I had 18,340 when I gave up at 2:35 p.m. And 360 to go
Not sure if there are that many in the Stack of Lottos I have left but I'll give it another try Sunday Morning

One more activity left for Saturday, the Thai Basil I moved from Aerogarden 3 to a Pot was growing tall
So I decided to harvest a lot of it, maybe put the Pot outside then after it warms up some

~ Thai Basil Snipped ~ Ready for Drying ~

So I snipped most all the tall Stems then the Leaves from the Stems and then into the Oven to Dry
Later stored in the Freezer for whenever, I don't use a lot of Basil but I have more than plenty now
Later again, finished off a fairly good Day with a good Dinner and off to bed to plan for Sunday... Charge!....

~ New Dwarf Alberta Spruce ~ Looks better than the old dying Bush ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Friday Morning, Bright Sun over the Gully but only 38 Degrees at 8 a.m. BRING ON THE WARM!
Peeked out to see the Cat waiting, he didn't show up for Dinner Thursday Night
But I had his Dinner all ready and set the Pan out front to eat before Boss Bob gets here
He doesn't want me to feed the Cat but I can't see that it is bothering anything around here

So, another delivery on the way today, Rion at the Price Chopper wants a SSD for the Computer I financed
I ordered one and added it to his account... And he is anxious to get it...
Other than that.. just nothing again planned for another not too warm spring Day... yet

Oh... Forgot to mention, getting to be a weekly habit, got another Windows 10 Insider Update, Build 14316
Seems to be a 'no news' weekly event lately, at least I know I am on the Fast Track

And the little Fountain on the Wall out front... I let the Paint I used as a bottom Seal dry good
And yesterday I filled it up to see how it went, then it began to drip again, not as bad though
Later the dripping slowed almost to a stop... I'll check it again this morning and plug it in if it stopped

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

OK, now it is 8 a.m. Friday Morning, time to work a couple online Crosswords and finish the Morning Routine
Then a quick trip to the Price Chopper to cash in a dinky $2 Win and get my Daily Dose of Lottos from Rion
I then told him it was SSD Day and he happily bought me a $5 Lotto... Back home to scratch off all Losers
Then some of my Home Grown Rhubarb Sauce on Toast and then the wait for the FedEx Man with the SSD

Thinking then about my dripping Fountain to check the leak, most of the Water gone and still dripping a bit
So I sponged out the rest of the Water, got a Hair Dryer out to try to dry it out, then let it set awhile to dry

And then at 12:15 here comes the FedEx Man with a Package for Me and One for Rion
His a new Super Speed 1TB Solid State Drive for the new Dell Computer I financed for him
And five Pounds of stinky Sulphur Powder for me, going to try it for repelling Deer, Varmints and Chiggers

So then I headed to the Price Chopper, gave Rion his SSD and then headed for Lowes again
There was this old dying bush between the Buildings I planted for Boss Bob several years ago
Boss Bob srayed for Weeds one Season and darn near killed it, tried to come back but never really did
So, I thought a good Idea and Project for the Day would be to replace it with a Dwarf Spruce Tree like my Two

~ Out With the Old ~ In with the New ~

Headed to Lowes, trotted way to the back to pick out a nice little Tree, carried it to my Blazer and headed back
Got right to it, dug up the old Bush with my Spading Fork, dug the Hole deeper with Bob's Shovel
And... Twenty minutes later... WAH LAH!... Landscaping all done for the Day!

And... One more trip up the Hill to check the Mail, finally my new Lettuce Pod had arrived
Nothing much left to do then except slip into another slow Afternoon and Evening
I did decide to cook up a nice batch of Potato Soup again, that stuff is soooo Goood!

Now they are predicting a very cold Saturday Morning, maybe a record low, that's all I do NOT need
I want this Cold stuff to stop for the Season and let me get on with my Gardens...NOW!

~ Photo -after- Snipping Lettuce for Two Sandwiches Thursday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And so, another Windy Chilly Day on Wednesday and a COLD 38 Degree start on Thursday Morning
I do want some steady warm weather so I can get all the Garden going and all the Flowers out front
It still isn't April 15th which is usually safe, but I am sure getting tired of waiting...

I usually Start writing my Drivel the Morning of the Day it is, and add stuff as it happens that Day
But on Thursday Morning I posted Wednesdays BLOG and didn't start on Thursday, this one, until this morning, Friday
So now I have to try to remember what I did yesterday...(Thursday) HUH, you kidding, I can't remember even what I had for Dinner

Well lemmee see anyway, I did start by feeding the Cat, he usualy comes in the evening though
And then I headed first to the Price Chopper, I gave Rion my new 'Code Scanner' which didnt work for my Purpose
He said he would take it and pay me for it, then he sold me my Lottos, didn't win much of anythng Thursday

Later I just checked the Stuff up on the Hill, most looks OK except for three of the Cucumbers I set out too early
But I have a lot more Seedlings inside in Pots to replace them in a few Days
I did later drag the Hose up the Hill to water everything back there again and then it was that usual Afternoon
I decided to make a Sandwich, how about some of that new Lettuce, snipped enough for that
And then much later at Dinner I made a Chicken Salad Sandwich and used more of that Lettuce
Then during TV Time I decide to do a catchup Photo of that Lettuce Garden and it doesn't even look like it has been snipped at

So not much going on Thursday... and this is enough nothingness to write about it... ON TO THE NEW DAY!

~ More Stuff out Front Wednesday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Wednesday Morning, 6 a.m. and 54 Degrees and all wet out there, and I was thinking of watering the Pumpkins today
But at the Moment it doesn't look like that will be necessary, not much needs to be done back there anyway
And other than going to get a Tank of Gas at the Minit Mart, no plans for the Day
Oh yeah, I need to get a few things from Walmart again, but no hurry for that

So... I didn't mention in my Tuesday wrap up BLOG... I was sipping my Margarita and watching TV
And I saw something tiny jiggling in my AeroGarden 7, looked like something caught in a Web
Not much of a Web, just one very fine strand from one end of the Grow Light to the other
Even with a close look, it was so tiny I couldn't tell what it was, anyway it was gone on Wednesday

~ What is that tiny Thing anyway? ~

Well now... I am getting tired of these borderline freezing Nights, one in the 30s again for Friday
It is close now to April 15th which is supposed to be the safe time to plant most anything
I'll keep close watch on the Nightly Forecasts the next Week, maybe I can get the Tomatoes and Peppers planted
And the Flowers out front, Larry's Nursery is supposed to have the 'Three Packs' in this week<
I can maybe plant the Marigolds this Week, and maybe the Coleus and Cannas next Week... Ya think?

So, coasting through the Morning and getting bored again, let's go check the Flowers at Lowes
Then go next door to Walmart for my other stuff... Hit Lowes first, they had some Marigolds
Got Two Six-packs for $1.98 each, a better price than at Larry's, on to Walmart, got my stuff and headed back

Unloaded my Walmart stuff, set the Marigolds out front then got my Trowel and Potting Soil
I planted Four Seedlings in each of Two Planters, then the other Four in a Pot

~ Marigolds planted on Wednesday ~

They don't look like so much yet but give them a couple weeks in the Sun, that is if we ever get any
One more Cold night on Friday and then next Week looks pretty good

~ My Entrance Walk Looking Better ~

And again, that was just about it for the Day, on to the usual Afternoon and Evening
A nice enough Day for Wednesday, now have to fnd something to do on Thursday

~ AeroGarden 6 ~ Ready for Harvest Again ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Tuesday Morning in the upper 40s but warming fast, up to 61 at Noon and bright Sun!
Just wondering what to do, was really busy yesterday... (off and on) No new plans as of 8 a.m.
But that didn't last long, checked the Gardens, looked like the 'Mega Cherrys' were ready to Harvest in Garden 6
So I picked them off, left 5 Green ones still on the Plant... No new ones other than those
Lots of Blooms on top but the Plant has reached the top of the Grow Light Extension, no place to grow

~ Eleven 'Megas' Harvested, Total so far is 26 ~

One tiny 'Heiroom' Tomato in Garden 5, that Plant has only produced Three so far, this one will make the Fourth
There are quite a few small Green ones on there, the Harvest from them is no where like the Mighty Minis or Megas
I am in a hurry for them to ripen so I can dump those Plants and plant some Poblano Peppers there
The Jalapeno Plant that was in that Garden 5 did produce quite a few Peppers to Pickle and save

Some watering in the rest of the Pots and gardens and then what? I took a walk out back
The Radishes look OK, The Beets also, and the Turnips I thinned a little Monday
The Three new Cucumber Seedlings in the Cucumber Bed are holding their own so far but the first two look worse

And then up the top of the Hill to check the Pumpkins, they look like they need some more watering
Then I did some raking of the Soil, smoothing out the old locations where the Beds were removed

And one more Job out front... I filled the Fountain and plugged it in on Monday and it leaked badly
So it emptied overnight and I took it down and removed the old drain stopper Screw and Washer
Then I Duct Taped over the inside of the bottom and also the outside bottom of the Fountain
Next I had an old Can of thick Rustoleum Paint... It was quite thick, might work to seal the Inside of the Bottom
So I poured in enugh to cover the Bottom well and hung the Fountain back on the Wall
Let that dry good and then fill it back with Water and see if my rehab project works

So, most of my 'work?' activities pretty well finished for the Day and a bit early for my TV Catchup...
And entering another of my BORED periods, even though I had lost my $20 Lotto Quota for the Day...
I was thinking..'Go for Broke' and headed down to the Fast Stop for more Lottos
Spent $20 and won back $55... Now that's one way to do it, a profit for the Day for a change
I finished out March with a $50 Win, now a $50 for April, can there be a Bigger One?

~ First Good One of the Month... ~

So that's enough excitement for Tuesday, now... Cocktail, TV and What's for Dinner?

~ Mowed out Back ~ Thinned the Turnips ~

56 Degrees at 9 a.m. on Monday Morning, looks like the Plants should all be OK Today
But topping out at 65 they say, not quite the Summer Day we had on Sunday but should be OK
And I kept busy most all Day on Sunday but what is there to be done today? More Mowing maybe

Did my Lotto Running around, nothing good to report, back to el Ranchito Pequeno
And then up the Hill in that Bright Sun at 50 plus degrees, towing the Lawn Mower again...
I cleared some more at the top edge of the Lawn back there, mostly weeds and leaves, beginning to look better
Then back in at 11 a.m. Then 58 Degrees and I had worked up a sweat again, that's hot work in the Sun

Checked the transplanted Cucumbers again, first Two aren't going to make it, the later Three might
Then took a look at the Pumpkins, looks like that drink of Water on Sunday did them some good
Maybe if I can keep the Varmints under Control this year I can get a Pumpkin or Two

~ Pumpkins looking Better every Day ~

I saw that the Turnips I planted way too thickly were coming up, all crowded together, should have made a Seed Tape
But those Seeds are tiny, I just filled up the Row with them... time to start thinning them
So I took a break, came back in to cool off some, then headed back to thin them out

~ Before Thinning the Turnips on Monday ~

Back up the Hill to thin the Turnips, the back side is not the best place for that
The Grass is even with the top of the Base there, then the ground slopes uphill from there
So a bit uncomfortable bending over thinning back there, easier from the Front side
But I got a start on the Job, just pinched out every other inch of Seedlings all along the Row
When they grow some I can do a more thorough job of thinning to one Plant every few inches

Then a Margarita and a rest out front enjoying the Weather and the Birds at my Feeders
Then thought it was time to get my Fountain cleaned up some and filled and running for the Birdies
Got out the Bathroom Cleaner stuff, a brush and Sponge and started in, took two treatments but looking better
Then I hung it back on the Wall, filled it with Water and plugged it in... Wanna drink now Birdies?

~ My Fountain ~ Before and after Spring Cleaning ~

And some Visitors having a sip or two last year after a trip to the Feeders for lunch and Dinner
It seemed then they would visit the Fountain late in the Afternoon, maybe their Cocktail Hour?

Then time to head back in and finish out the Day with Dinner and TV and a much later Bedtime
Come on Tuesday... what can we mess up today?

~ Summer Arrived on Sunday! ~ For How Long? ~
~ Back to the Garden on the Hill ~ And WARM up There! ~

44 Degrees on Sunday Morning at 7 a.m. and going to near 80 they say... SHOW ME!
I was wondering how the new Cucumbers made it through Saturday Night... The first two didn't like Friday
Well the rest of the coming Week looks pretty good too, we'll be complaining about the heat soon

A carchup with the Plants on the front Shelves, above... the Herbs doing really well, like to put them outside
And my Seeded Pots, a few more popped up over night and more Cucumber Seedlings on the way now

~ Cucumbers Seeded in the Pots ~

So off on a great looking Morning to the Price Chopper, got my $20 worth of Lottos
Back home to scratch off only a $15 Win, too that back to trade at the Fast Stop, this time just a $5 Win
And then a late Brakfast and next wanted to check the Cucumbers planted yesterday, survive the Night?
Here's how they were protected (I hope) on that 40s Degrees Saturday Night

~ Cucumbers Hopefully Protected ~

Well it was still in the 40s this Morning, maybe OK... Headed up the Hill about 11 a.m. to check
And here is what they looked like with the Covers off

~ Cuke One, looks OK ~ Cuke Two, not so good ~ Cuke Three, looks OK too ~

The first two that I planted and that faced that Cold Friday night, don't look good at all, may not survive
And then what Next? Well, the Pumpkin Patch looked quite dry so I went back in to hook up the Hose
Back out and way up the Hill and I watered that Punpkin Patch really thoroughly, that'll hold them a couple Days
Back down to the other Beds, watered the Radishes and Cucumbers, then the Chard and Turnip Seeds in the Pepper Bed
And last the Beets in the Tomato Bed, the Beets looking better than ever on Sunday

So about 1 p.m. and 70 Degrees and Sunny, I decided to take 'CLEM' up on the Hill and do a little Mowing
That isn't easy when the ground is fairly smooth but a real workout when it is full of Mole Hills
The Mowing Crew comes about once a Week but they don't mow up as far as I do up in the Weeds
But the higher I mow, the more they follow that mowed outline, I am just showing what they should do... HAH!

~ CLEM resting up by my Garden Bench ~

So I made a few passes back and forth up there, looking some better getting the Weeds and Leaves smoothed out
I worked up a good sweat and after about a half hour or so headed back down for the Day
Back inside, the Temp was up to 78 then at 2 p.m. Time to mix a Margarita and cool off

And... we could use a few more DNP Days like Sunday!

~ Warmer Day Saturday ~
~ A Bit more Garden Stuff Done ~

~ Eight More 'Mega' Cherry Toms Coloring up in Garden 6 ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Really nice to see the bright Sun coming up over the Gully Saturday Morning, we need SUN!
The Temp was in the upper 30s at 6 a.m. then up to 41 by 8:30... warming fast... and we need that too
And I started on the Gardening even before I finished my Morning Routine... Hot to Trot!
I had three Seeds just popping up and Three Seedlings big enough to transplant in the Seed Starter
I decided to transfer the Popups to Pots and then plant the Three larger ones to the Garden Bed
That was easy enough to get the Seeds into the pots, then wait awhile for the Weather to warm up a bit

~ Cucumber Seedlings out of the Starter ~

So then off to the Fast Stop to see if that Big One was waiting down there for me
And it sure was not, back into hiding again, so back to the Gardening, warm enough to go out back
I took the Seedlings out of the Seed Starter Kit and headed out back with my Trowel
Took the Gate off the Cucumber Bed, took a first peek at the Cucumbers planted outside on Wednesday
And they sure did not like the 30s on Friday Night, don't know if they will survive or not
Anyway they are saying 47 for Saturday night and 53 for Sunday Night... So, take a chance on planting more?

~ Cucumbers Planted Wednesday Did Not Like Friday Night ~

Yeah... I went ahead and planted the three Seedlings I took out of the Seed Starter, hope for the best... But I have more Seeds
The Radishes are still going and then a check on the Pumpkins... and they looked like they weathered the 30s nicely

~ Cucumber Plant Seedlings out of the Starter ~ And into the Cucumber/Radish Bed ~

And then I set out the Marigolds I potted Friday out front for the Sun, they are supposed to be hardy
I have only been gardening for about 50 Years and I should know better, but I just don't want to wait for April 15th
So far I have a pretty good start on what is to come in the next few Weeks, more Marigolds, Impatiens, Canna and Coleus

~ The Front of the Place beginning to look Like Springtime ~

And so, now the Seed Starter only had some failing Seed Pods left, I dumped them, took out the Seed Starter Kit
Cleaned it all out, put some new Seed Sponges in, put it all in a Box and took it up the Hill for Pat Harris
She was pleased to get it, we had some chat and I headed back for what was left of the Day
It finally climbed to the upper 60s but sill felt chilly out there, time to finish out the afternoon inside
Then my AeroGarden 3 was empty, so I cleaned it up, put the regular Grow Top back on, got Three 'Grow Baskets'
Put a new 'Grow Sponge' in each one, put two Swiss Chard Seeds in each and popped them in the Garden Slots
Plugged in the Garden and away we go for three more Swiss Chard Seedlings to plant outside (maybe?)

Then Wine and Dinner for the Finale and on to dream about Tomorrow

~ Pay Day ~ And I needed this One ~
~ First Trip to Larry's Nursery ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Larry the Boss ~ Giving the Veggies a Drink ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Nice to start up the Computer on Pay Day Morning and see that IBM Check in the Bank
Extra Bills again in March to drain my Finances more than usual, don't they know I need my Lottos?
Still two extra Bills for April but I think I can handle that OK, hate to cut back on my Lotto addiction

And I got another Email from BangGood Tech about that Cell Phone Keyboard which I didn't need
They wanted to know if a Refund to my account would be OK... I said OK fine, go ahead
It was cheap, but I didn't need it anyway, I'll give it to Rion (Price Chopper) to play with, it still works

So, starting Friday with a temp of 41, but only going to 55, still chilly but no freeze
Time to start filling the Pots in front with Flowers for the Season, hmmm what can I plant first?

So, another Cool Morning but saying we might get some Sun, what I want is some WARM!
And so do the Plants I have growing up on the Hill so far this Season, and almost time for Flowers
So I headed to Riverside to see what I could find at Larry's Nursery to start, I thought some Marigolds
He had some singles in Pots but no Four Packs at sale prices yet, he said maybe next Week
So I picked out a couple of 'Inca Yellows' and headed on back to Parkvile about Noon

~ Two Inca Gold Marigolds waiting to go Outside ~

I brought in Two of my Smaller Pots and transplanted them, I'll set them out front on Saturday for a little Color
And then got a close up of another Cucumber Poppng up in the Seed Starter Garden Kit
The plant popped out one end and pushed the Seed Case right up out of the Grow Sponge
I am about finished trying for Seedlings in that Kit and have more seeded in Pots
A couple in the Starter might be ready to transplant about the time the ones in Pots emerge anyway

~ Cucumber Seedling pushing up out of the Grow Sponge ~

OK, sunny but still cool at 1 p,n, Let's go look at the Stuff planted on the Hill
A peek at the Beets, they look OK, growing some, Radishes too, but need more Sun
And then the Cucumbers just planted, they look better than I expected after a couple of Cool Nights

~ Cucumbers Looking like they adapted Nicely Outside ~

Then on up the Hill, to check the the Pumpkin Patch and they are really growing fast now
If I can just keep the Deer off the Pumpkins when they start to Bloom... -IF- they start

~ Pumpkin Plants Growing Nicely So Far ~

And that was all the Action for Friday... On to a pleasant Afternoon and Evening
Saying Near Freezing for the Friday Night low.. but 60s for Saturday, maybe a little more outside doings?

~ So-So Weather Day ~
~ Very Nice Lotto Day ~

~ Best Lotto Win for March ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

A slow Morning getting started on Thursday, saying mosty Sunny and in the High 60s
Nothing planned for outside... Let's go do Lotto Scratchers... Not winning much for March
So off first to the Price Chopper, later to Minit Mart and again Price Chopper winning some along the Way
Started out with a $20 Bill in my Pocket, ended up with $95, must have won something...
Not in the order won but I did win a $5, $10, $15, $20, 20, and $50... That's $120 ain't it?
So a Profit of $100 and time to quit for the Day, can't win 'em all and I have proved that

And... I sent an Email on Wednesday to AeroGro with a Photo of my Garden 7 with one Lettuce Pod failing
They don't waste any time, got an Email back on Thursday and saying this:
Hello Donald, Thank you for your email
We are sorry the salad greens failed to germinate
We have submitted a replacement Salad Greens order for you today
You should receive it within a week to 10 days
So again, great Service, they have corrected every Boo Boo I have had so far
With AeroGarden Garden service problems and replacement Seed Pods, well they do say 100% Guaranteed

And into another Afternoon, what now? All that Rhubarb in the Freezer... Let's make a Pie!
Back to the Price Chopper for a couple things, needed some refrigerated Pie Crusts
A couple Apples to add in with the Rhubarb and some Candy and Nuts to celebrate my Winnings for the Day

Back home to start on the Pie, defrosted the Rhubarb, peeled the Apples, then into the Crust
Some Sugar and Flour and Nutmeg and Cinnamon added, on with the top Crust and into the Oven<
Off to the TV with a Margarita for an Hour, then back in the Kitchen to finish the Pie

~ Rhubarb Apple Pie ~ Looks Good ~

Out of the Oven to Cool on a Rack, then set out the Goodies for Dinner later
Soe more of that Smoked Pork Shoulder from the Freezer, French Fries and some Cole Slaw
Good way to finish off a profitable Day the Day before Pay Day... YEAH!
