~ New Seed Pods Germinating in Two Days! ~
~ Snipped a little more Lettuce on Saturday ~

~ New Pots for more Seed Pods ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And what to do on a Sunny and warm Saturday? Many things I could do, but what do I want to do?
I want to win a Big Lottos is what I do wanted and headed out to 'Minit Mart' for it
And I might as well shudda stood in bed... NO WINNERS AT ALL!

So what else, first thing I saw my Lettuce needed more Water, been drinking up a lot lately
I have had to top it off every Day lately, then saw my Dill was almost touching the Grow Lamp again
So I snipped off a couple of the tallest stems, then into the Oven to Dry, Looks like some Basil ready too<
Got a whiff of that fresh snipped Dill, that stuff is sure Fragrant right off the Plant

~ Basil and Lettuce ~ Planted Wednesday ~ Popped up Saturday ~

And, checking the new AeroGarden, saw that two Seed Pods had come up already
Planted those Pods on Wednesday afternoon, two whole Days and here they are on Saturday Morning

And then, there wasn't much going on all the rest of Saturday, the start of a 'Lost Weekend' maybe
Just some Computering puttering, some Kitchen neatening, lots of afternoon TV with a Manhattan
Put a Burger and Bun out to thaw, snipped some Lettuce for my Burger, peeled some fries to Deep fry

~ Just Enough Lettuce Snipped for my Burger ~

A later unusual Margarita before Dinner, Dinner with TV and a Glass of Wine
And that finished off a rather quiet Sarurday, I don't expect this Sunday to be much more... Ho Hum

~ My Green Porch Light on Veterans Day ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And Friday Morning I was thinking of my new Pots I have to plant with my extra Seed Pod Kits
Maybe I can put them on the shelf under my AeroGradens... Decided to lower the Shelf
And then Put the Lights above the top Shelf instead of above the middle Shelf
I did that first thing, looked good but the new Pots were too Big!

So what to do? Head to Kmart again to get some smaller ones, and some Potting Soil
Small Pots were on a good Sale, less than $3 each, and a big sack of Potting Soil too
I picked up those and some Cocktail Peanuts and Chocolate stuff for good measure
I have some Free Points that will expire in December if not used, I do need more Soil for later too

And back to the Ranch to start on my new Crops, drilled drainage holes in the plastic Pots
Took then out front and filled with some of the new Potting Soil, back in then to plant

Planted three Dill Parsley Pods in one Pot, the one I planted in my AeroGarden isn't doing much so far
Then I Planted two Basil Plants in another Pot and two Dill Plants in the third
Watered them in with MiracleGro and placed them on the middle shelf above the Orange Treelets
The Orange Trees won't get much light down there but won't do much this Winter inside anyway

~ Planted New Crops on Friday ~

So here is the latest Photo of my complete Indoor Garden as of Friday November 13 at 1 p.m.
Those bright Grow Lights wash out the Photos when they are on, have to try for a better photo with them off

~ The Garden on Friday November 13 ~

And then... into the afternoon, all unplanned Missions accomplished, what can I mess with next? ...Always something
But first... mix a Cocktail, which one today? And then think up something for Dinner, lots stored away

~ That was a Very Busy Wednesday ~
~ Some New Pots for my Seed Kits ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Harvested a little More Dill ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Yeah, that was one busy and productive Day on Veterans Day, here there and everywhere
Just everything I had planned came out just fine if not just a little bit better
Where was I on the last BLOG? At 2 p.m. I believe, had just planted the six new Seed Pods
And so, what's for Dinner, how about a Salad with some of that fresh picked Lettuce?
I had some Cherry Tomatoes, Green Pepper and Sweet Onion to add along with Butternilk Ranch Dressing
And some of that Roast Beef, a boiled Potato, mashed a bit, some diced Onion and Beef Gravy on top
A a slice of fresh home made Rye Bread and Butter, don't forget a glass of Gallo Paisano to finish off

Now what for Thursday, a bit slower I am thinking, no plans at all but something will come up as always
Six new Plants in the new Aerogarden to watch, I planted Basil, Dill, two Tomato Plants and two Lettuce Plants
And still have a surplus of Herb Seed Pods, Thinking of planting some of those Pods in Pots with Soil

So off to the Day and where first? About time to check the 'Minit Mart' for Winners
But then, I needed a few things and I had over $80 worth of 'Points' for Sears and Kmart
So I wanted some Cat Food, Dishwasher Detergent and new Pots for my excess Seed Pods
Back in the sparce Garden Department (It's Winter ya know) I found three nice Pots for a real nice Price
Then a nice big Box of Dishwasher Stuff and a big Box of Canned Cat Food, all priced nicely
Then checked out with $30 worth of stuff and all paid for with Points... It's FREE!

~ Going to plant some of the extra Herb Seed Pods in Pots ~

AHA, Just thought, I will need some more Potting Soil, saw some out in front of Kmart
I still have $50 in Points, I'll have to go back and get some... But no hurry, later
Then I stopped back by the Price Chopper, needed a jug of Vino Tinto and my Lottos
Got those and back home to scratch off only $15... Where are the Big ones this Month

So what else on Thursday? Just more of the usual, Cocktail, Dinner, TV, off to Bed
Now Friday Morning, off to where? No plans at 7 a.m. Took a look at my Gardens
Most everything growing nicely except the Parsley, it's there but not doing much
The Herbs and Lettuce are using a lot of Water, Tomatoes close behind, they are now getting some size
I picked and used some Lettuce Tuesday and Wednesday, looks like I could Harvest some more today

~ Picked this on Wednesday ~ Now more Ready on Friday ~

These tiny Gardens do not produce a large quantity but they sure work at it and it's fun
So, off to the Races... where to for Lottos today?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Wednesday, Veterans Day... Up and at 'em at 5:30 a.m. First thing put my Flag out front
Then my Apple Juice... Put the Coffee on, check the Bank, Check the Email, check Facebook and all's well
Then finish and post Tuesday's BLOG, pour a second Cup of Coffee and work a couple Online Crosswords
Into the Shower, and then off to find some Lotto Winners... Am I in a RUT or what?

AHA... a new Toy coming today.. another Aerogardem 'Harvest', a NEW Model just out and with Six Seed Pods
But the Gardens come with only Seed Pods for Herbs, I have Six extra ones of those now from Gardens Two and Three
I ordered Salad Pods (Lettuce) for Number Two and Tomato Pods for Number Three, all growing now
So I will have 12 Herb Pods then, and I ordered another Tomato and Salad Pod Kits of Three Pods each, so which to plant?<
The new Garden has Six Pod places... Have to think about this one... HAH! I have an idea, plant some Herb Pods in Pots next Spring

And on to the Day, turning out quite nice again... 70 Degrees at 11 a.m. Need to get outside again
But first, needed some little Tomatoes at the Price Chopper and some Loser Lottos
Got my little sweet Pear Tomatoes, on sale of course, and my Lottos, cost $10 only won $10
Then back to take a look at my Indoor Gardens, the Letuce toucing the Grow Light, raise that a bit
Then decided to snip the larger Lettuce Leaves, then the tallest Dill fronds, and clipped some more Basil
Then put the Basil and Dill in the Oven to dry and the Lettuce waiting in the Fridge for later

~ Basil to Dry ~ Lettuce for Sandwich or Salad ~

And then the Wait for the UPS man, should be around Noon or so, went out to sweep the Leaves off the Veranda
And sweeping away, here comes the Big Brown Truck at 11:55 p.m. Brought me a big Box
I brought it in, unpacked my latest Winter Garden, this one with Red, Blue and White Colored LEDs and room for Six Seed Pods
Nothing to assemble, just find a place to put it, fill with Water, add Nutrient and plant the Seed Pods
They just come with Herb Seed Pods, I have a surplus of those and I have Tomato and Lettuce Pods on the way
I want to plant two Tomato Pods and Two Lettuce Pods so I started this One with One Basil and One Dill Plant
Hoping to get Store delivery of the Tomatoes and Lettuce Pods tomorrow... (Thursday) Then I plant and GO!

~ New 'Harvest' AeroGarden ~ This one has Colored LEDs for Grow Lights ~

And then, my 'Idea Light' lit up... Maybe they sent them early? Done it before, I checked my Email
Hey Hey... it says your Walmart Order is ready to be picked up and off I went...
I planted those first two Seed Pods about 12:30 or so, Checked my Email about 1 p.m.
Back then and unpacked my Pods, Planted them in the New Aerogarden about 2 p.m... All Systems Go... Time for a Cocktail

~ Picked up the New Seed Pod Kits from Walmart ~ And Back to Plant Them ~ Now... Let's Grow! ~

And now, it is Thursday Morning, that is enough of Wednesday's account for now, I'll post this much 6:30 a.m. Thursday
This Diatribe was getting too long, I'll pour my Morning Coffee and continue from there for Thursday

~ Indoor Garden Doing Fine ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well, I will post this BLOG Wednesday Morning but write up Veterans Day on Tuesday
I start my BLOG the Day before I post it, then finish it the Posting Morning... and so
When I post this on Wednesday Morning it will be Veterans Day and I was a Veteran
But I had the easiest job in the USAF, and my tour of duty was a four year safe Vacation
Assigned as a Camera Technician and Photographer in the Air Training Command in training Bases in the USA

Finished Basic Training at Lackland and Sheppard AF Bases in Texas and Oklahoma in 1950, Promoted to PFC
Finished Camera Technician School in Denver Colorado in January 1951, Promoted to Corporal
Assigned to Lowry AFB in Belleville Illinois in 1951, assigned to the Base Photo Lab in charge of Photo Supply
Advanced to Senior Camera Technician AFSC 40350 and Promoted to Sergeant, or the new term A/1C
Transferred to Luke AFB, Glendale Arizona in 1n 1952, assigned to the Gunnery Photo Lab, again in charge of Photo Supply
Took a Photography Test, Aced it, score of 98, transferred in grade to AFSC 23250, Senior Photographer
Then a final transfer to Randolph AFB, San Antonio Texas in 1953, my last Vacation assignment
Assigned to the Base Photo Lab first, In Charge of setting up Supplies for the new Reconnaisance Photo Lab there
Then Assigned to the Reconnaisance Photo Lab in charge of Photo Supply, advanced to ASFSC 23270 and Staff Sergeant
Honorable Discharge in October 1954, completing four of the Best Years in my Life... A great time!

But... back to Tuesday... another Cool Morning and a little on the Cloudy side, that cleared up some about Noon time
I needed some goodies, headed to KMart to start, they only had ONE Item I was after but I got it at no charge
I still have over $80 of 'Points' to spend at Sears and KMart, they gave me a lot for buying that new TV

So then I headed on over to Walmart, got what I was after and a couple Items more, I am liking them some better
They do have some good stuff and also a lot of not so hot stuff, I know what to pick out or skip
Then stopped in at the Price Chopper on the way back, got my $20 worth of Lottos, won $20 back... even up at least
And then another long but busy afternoon, I had picked up a nice looking Beef Roast at WalMart
That wasn't planned but I couldn't pass that up at that Price... as good as a Price Chopper Price
So after I unloaded I started on that, Garlic Salt and Pepper and floured and ino the Skillet
Then I sliced up a big Sweet Onion into the bottom of my big Pyrex dish, then the Roast on top
Next Into the Oven for a couple Hours, I headed to the TV with a Margarita for the News Catch Up
Looking good when it came out of the Oven, let it rest and then carved into Slices to serve and store

~ Roast Beef in Onion Sauce... Great! ~

I was thinking maybe a Roast Beef Sandwich for Dinner with some Fries, how about some Lettuce for that Sandwich?
The Lettuce in my Indoor Garden has been growing nicely, how about some of that, picked enough for a Sandwich

~ Harvested enough Lettuce for my Roast Beef Sandwich ~

Finally time slipped away til Dinner, hotted up the 'Fry Daddy'... Peeled and sliced a Tater... Into the Fryer
Couple slices of multigrain Bread for my Beef Sandwich, with some 'Spin Blend' and that fresh picked Lettuce
Plated the Fries with some home made Salsa, back to the TV to Feast on that with a Glass of Vino Tinto

And that wound up another fine Day in Parkville, having a lot of fine Days recently
First thing this Wednesday Morning, put my Flag out at 5:30 a.m. On to the Computer to play
And on to another day of waiting for another Delivery... One more indoor 'Aerogarden' coming today!

~ A Little more Work out Back ~
~ Baked a Loaf of Rye Bread ~

~ Made Deviled Eggs with my new Fresh Dill ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Monday, another Day like the last three, a bit cooler but still going into the high 50s
I dawdled around catching up with the things online on my Computer, then headed out to the 'Minit Mart'
That's what the new Owners are calling the good old Kicks 66 Station from way back, since 1998 for me anyway
Bought $20 worth of Lottos, only won $15 back, that isn't the way I like to play the Game
Anyway, on to the new nice Sunny and warming up Day, let's check out back
I wasn't in the mood for any digging and hauling Soil, thought I would start on repairing the Cage Ends
I brought one Cage End back around front to work on it on the Concrete Slab... easier there ya know
I wanted to remove all the Chicken Wire Netting that was kind of shabby and not doing the Job
So I popped off all the 4,975 Staples holding it on, set it aside for later, need to tighten the corner fasteners then

And so, back inside, to finish the rest of a long afternoon, what we gonna cook?
Well, maybe something different? Well I had a few of those giant Hot Dogs from 'Omaha Steaks' in the Freezer
And I had some Bavarian Style Sauerkraut in the Fridge, just waiting, OK then, Wurst und Sauerkraut

And I started on that, mixed a Margarita first to oil the cooking Machine (me), it was already about 1:30 p.m.
I like a little Onion in my Sauerkraut... Simmered some with Olive Oil in the Pot, then added the Kraut
Then I added a big Hot Dog in the middle, let that simmer along, then peeled a Potato and simmered that
Next, when the Potato was tender I added it to the Pot, a little Salt and Pepper and ready to heat up later for Dinner

Oh yeah, what goes with Sauerkraut and Potatoes... und Wurst? Rye Bread, and I aint got none!
Well I have my Bread Machine and all I needed to bake a Loaf... so I started on that
Into the Bread Machine a little after 3 p.m. That should be ready a little after 6 p.m. and ready for Dinner

And so on to the Evening TV and whatever, about 6 p.m. I headed out to the Kitchen to get things started
Well, more like 'finished', all the Cooking was done, just needed to 'unmachine' my Bread, whack off a Slice
Nuke up the Wurst (Hot Dog) and Potatoes and Sauerkraut, a dollop of Mustard on the Hot Dog and all wae ready
Buttered up the big slice of Rye Bread, toted everything to the Coffee Table and dove into the Dish
And Oh yeah, everything was just Dee Lish Shuss! I hit this one right out of the Park! Home Run!
It actually was a 'One Dish' Meal, I had added the Sauerkraut to the Simmering onions, then the Hot DOg
Then when the Potato had Boiled, I quartered it and added to the Pot, Let all that hold warm til Dinner
When I plated it for the Nuker, I put the Hot Dog in the Center, the Potatoes on one side, the Kraut on the other
That made quite a pretty Picture but I didn't get a Photo of it, have to add that Buttered warm Rye Bread was GREAT also

Anyway, that's all History now, off to the New Day... and Veteran's Day on Wednesday!

~ $35 in Lottos Wins but No Profit ~
~ And even More 'Bed Move' Work Done ~

~ Basil and Dill on Sunday Morning ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sunday Morning, a repeat of Saturday, one more 'Just Right' Day! Starting at 47 Degrees, up to 58 by Noon
Ran up to the Price Chopper to chase the Rainbow, it wasn't there, got $20 worth, lost $20 worth
Later went back for Cat Food... Bought $20 more, won $20 back, even up... One more piece of Pumpkin Bread then
And it is only Money... Went back to the Fast Stop to try again, traded in $20 won back $15... No Go

Ok then what? Checked the Basil and Dill, the Dill almost touching the Lamp, clipped it a little, raised the Lamp a notch
Then thought, some of that Dill would go good on some Deviled Eggs... Huh? Put it in the oven to dry

And as I said, Sunny and almost 60 at Noon, out and up the Hill again, long sleeve shirt for the Breeze
Trundled the AeroCart up to the old Bed Site, dug out more big Clods from the front of that Bed
Dumped that in the new Bed Sub Base and back for another Load, another Load of Clods and back down to dump
Back for the third Load, now getting back to the better Soil, dug some more, raked it up, loaded the Cart
Dumped that in, raked it forward, the sub Base there just about leveled up now

~ Three More Loads in the Big Bed ~ Making Progress ~

That was enough for the Day, back inside to put some Eggs in the Pot to Boil, set the timer for 15 Minutes
Mixed an early Margarita that I could sip and then started on this Diatribe no one pays any attention to except me
Oh, that maybe isn't right, Sigi said he reads it sometimes and Pat Harris checks on me now and then
And my Cousin way out West in California says he checks up on me too... And a former IBM Co-Worker... HAH!
Then the Timer started Beeping and out to the Kitchen to peel my Eggs and start on the Deviling

And that didn't take long, Peel, Split, pop out the Yolk... mix the Yolk with a few Goodies
My choice... 'Spin Blend' (better than Miracle Whip), Mustard, Salt, Pepper, some of my new Dill, mix and pop back into the White
Then sprinkle some Paprika on top, cover and in the Fridge until Snack time

And that was then TV Time until Dinner and then more TV Time with Dinner... ahhh Yes
Dinner was more of that last Smoked Sliced Pork Shoulder, turned out better than usual this time
Yes again, I rate that a pretty nice Sunday

And now Monday Morning at 6:30 a.m. and the Weather Report says it is 34 Degrees out there... Brrrrrrrrr!
But later going up to 61... That ain't so bad if the Sun Shines... More Dirt moving maybe?

~ Ever Onward and Upward ~

~ A couple of dinky $10 Wins Saturday ~
~ Some More 'Bed Move' Work Done~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ A Tiny Harvest of Basil and Dill ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Saturday looking good outside, Sunny and going up to the 60s maybe... And for the next few Days too
Working on my Bills a little on the Computer, doing a little different with the new Bank Account
I did some Internet Site moving too, transfering my Nature Sanctuary Domain to the Sanctuary Director
I am retiring from that minor Chore while I am still able to move the Site, not expecting anything soon though
I have been paying the freight on that Site for several years, not much Money though and it was fun

Finally got ready to head out again, this time to the 'Minit Mart' for $10 worth of Lottos, won $10 back
Saw that I was out of Milk and then back to the Price Chopper for that and traded in my $10 and won $10 back
And back for a late Breakfast of more of that Pumpkin 'Cake'... that's tasty stuff for sure

And then out in the Sunshine and up the Hill in back again, to work on the front of that old Tomato Bed
The front of the sub Base in that bed is mainly just fill Dirt, I want to take that down to fill in new Bed front first
The Soil in the top of the old Bed is mainly Garden Topsoil and I want to put that on top down the Hill

~ Two Loads in the Big Bed ~ Well it's a Start Anyway ~

So I dug out some of the lower front edge with the big Clods and loaded that into the AeroCart first
Trundled that down the Hill and dumped it in, then back up for a secomd Load
Loaded that up, trucked it down the Hill, dumped it in, then raked the soil to the front and gave up for the Day

And again, back in the afternoon routine Rut, Cocktail, TV and then Dinner... Ho Hum
Well I did find a long TV account of the Kansas City Royals Victory Parade and hit the Record Button
Maybe I'll make a Video of that and save it as a Memo of the Biggest Event in Kansas City for Years!
It did have some great Crowd scenes, Downtown and at the Liberty Memorial... I'll record in on my Computer
And then edit it for any boring Scenes and take out the Commercials too, then... Upoad to Vimeo

And so, what for Sunday, may run to Walmart for some stuff, I see that is in the 30s at 6:30 a.m.
Oh yeah, first thing Sunday I ordered another 'Aerogarden', a new larger Model just out and with Six Pods
Has LEDs instead of CFL Bulbs, new Pump and Aerator and other goodies... But where to put it!
Comes with Six more Herb Pods, I have plenty of those now, so I ordered another Tomato and Lettuce Seed Kit for it

So, the Temp might hit 58 later on... Another Load or two of Soil down the Hill? CHARGE..... Let's get at it!

~ Ever Onward and Upward ~

~ Another New Windows 10 Insider Build ~
~ Did a little 'Bed Move' Work ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Helped the Neighbor Lady with Windows 10 on a new Laptop ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Friday Morning already, a Week of November all gone... When is Spring? I need to get that Soil down the Hill
Checked my Banks online... All is well, checked Facebook, no new complaints, then checked my Email
I get Email from CNET, lots of computer stuff that comes in handy, I like to keep up
And it said another new Windows Beta Upgrade released Thursday... WHAT? Just got one Sunday, November 1st
That was Build 10576 and seemed to work OK, this one is 10586, checked for Updates.. yeah it was there
So I started downloading that one on my 'Dell One' Desktop, they try new Stuff on us nosey people first
And then I read, the first major upgrade to Windows 10 for the General Public will be ready soon

~ Windows Insider Build 10586 being downloaded ~

So then, morning Routine finally finished, headed out to the Price Chopper, all out of Vino Tinto (Red Wine)
And I needed something to write on... like TP? Got enough to almost write a Novel
And a Gallon of that Carlo Rossi 'Paisano', that should last me about a Week, and of course more loser Lottos
What? Two Days and no Wins? well there was that $52 of Wins on Wednesday to crow about

Then the next to last Piece of that Pumpkin Pie, the Morning News and finished installing the Latest Update
I don't use the HP Desktop and Laptop all that much but I keep them all up to Date

And such a nice Day again, back out and up the Hill, dumped some Rocks and small Logs into the Bottom of the Tomato Bed
The front is on a slope and no use filling that front third with good Soil, I put that on top
The top Base takes about Six inches of that good Soil, that's where I need the good stuff
And then, another trot up to the old Bed, did a little Digging to loosen up some Soil to bring down
I try to bring down the big Clods and undersoil first to level the Sub Base, then fill the Base with the Better Soil

~ Lots of good Black Soil on top here to bring Down ~

Didn't stay out very long, I get tired so easy now... Well, I get a Physical later this Month
Maybe they can find something to blame it on other than all the Years I have been putting on me

Then only 1 p.m. but I was dry from Digging that little pile of dirt, needed a Margarita to refill the tank
And again thinking up something for Dinner, maybe more of that BBQ Pork and some Cheezy Caulflower again

And that was all for Friday... Now... Look at my Lettuce Crop on Saturday Morning!

~ Indoor Lettuce Crop ~ Some Salad or on a Sandwich Soon ~

Let's go get some Winner Lottos for a change... And... (Pssst... I ordered another Aerogarden ~ New Model)

~ Ever Onward and Upward ~

~ Worked on another Laptop ~
~ Just Mostly doing Laundry on Thursday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Great Way to Start November ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

How can I have a better Day than Wednesday? Got some Garden Work done, Won a $50 Lotto and had great BBQ!
Well, win a BIGGER One, do some more Garden Work and have some more of that BBQ Smoked Pig
So, first some Computer Work, added all the Charge Accounts I want to pay with my new online Bank Account on 'Bill Pay'
That will save the hassle of going to each of their individual online Sites to pay

Then finished and posted my Daily Diatribe, tells Sigi how I waste my Money and also what I bought and when
Comes in handy sometimes like a Diary might when I need some Info for something, I do forget things ya know

So that finished by 8:30 a.m. Into the Shower and then out into another good Weather Day, saying 75 but Cloudy
But it was bright Sunshine when I headed to the Price Chopper to lose some more Money
A bit disappointing to not win even one little one... So then what for the Day?
I thought I would head out back later to haul some Soil, first I put a load of Clothes in the Washer
Then I heard a mild Tap on the Door, the Lady from the next Building down the Hill
She had bought a new Laptop and was some confused how to do things on Windows 10
She knew I knew some about Computers and asked for my help, sure... not doing anything for the moment

So she brought the Laptop to my place, told me what she needed and I fired it up, it began a Windows 10 Update
And I said it might take some time for that Upload so she said whe would do some other things
It finaly did the Upgrade, I started cleaning out some of the Junk Ware and making some settings
Had it working the way I thought she wanted and took it back down, showed her a couple things on the Internet
And then that Mission was accomplished... How does word get out that I know a little about Computers anyway?

About that time I finished it was about time to start the Afternoon TV Session, but in with another load Of Clothes
I was on Facebook that Morning for a couple minutes, caught this Video of the Royals Parade, the whole Route
But it is in Fast Motion and only takes a couple Minutes, I thought it was interesting

~ Click Here for a Wild Ride in the Kansas City Royals Parade ~
~ Lots of People Having a Great Time and NO Problems! This is Kansas City! ~

And then... It seems my Afternoons and Evenings are pretty much the same... Most of the action happens before Noon
That is... unless I am waiting for a new Tech Toy to be delivered so I can install it
Anyway, Thursday wound up as usual, Cocktail and TV News, then a nice Dinner and off to those Dreams
And those dreams are something else, all kind of Places I haven't been, People I haven't met
But I do fix some of my Computer problems when I dream abut them... Yeah, it is a whole different 'Dream World'

Well now, Friday already and a whole Week of November gone already... Don't time fly when yer having Fun!

~ Leveled the Tomato Bed ~
~ Maybe Haul some Soil on Thursday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Harvested some Damaged Basil Tuesday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And Cloudy on Wednesday Morning but warm enough to head outside later, first to the Price Chopper
Might as well have saved the Gas and Money, no Wins first try and not a lot of excess this month for many more
And then another hunk of that Pumpkin 'Cake' and how Good it is!... Yeah!

Then out and up the Hill, breezy but still OK in just a T-Shirt, where's that Spading Fork?
Easy enough work if I was ten years younger but quite a task now, to dig in that tilted Bed
I made a few Digs to mark the outside then moved the Base and started digging out the Sod
Then I made a few Level tests, dug a little more here, a little more there, finally looked good
Now the Base is level.. Next, bring down the Soil, then Reassemble the Cage on top of the Base

~ Project for Tuesday ~ Level the Tomato Bed ~

~ OK... Is it Level? ~ Well... as Level as that old Warped Bed will Get ~

OK then, back inside and nuthin to do, what next? Won no Lottos, let's go try again, Spent another $20, won $50
OK, nice $10 Profit, time to find something else to do... But what now? or then, as it was...
Need to smoke something on a Cloudy but mild November Day, wonder what the Price Chopper has on sale?

Out front to fire up the Smoker, add a chunk of Hickory, head to the Price Chopper at 2:30 p.m.
A bit late in the Day to start Smoking BBQ, maybe three or four hours would do
So back to the Meat Counter, checked the Chicken, really not in the mood for Chicken
But lookee there... Sliced Pork Shoulder on Sale, got this nice three Pounds for Five Bucks, can't beat that!

~ Smoked BBQ Pork Shoulder on the Way at 3 p.m. ~

Into my Big Pyrex Dish, on with the 'KC Rib Doctor' BBQ Dry Rub and into the Smoker at 3 p.m.
Then back inside, time for a Margarita and some more TV Catch up, nice Day so far, even with the Clouds

A long Cloudy afternoon inside with the TV, enjoying the Hickory and Smoking Pork Aroma
Later took a look outside, no Smoke!... Went to check, Gas had run out but I had a spare, hooked it up
So the Smoker had cooled down a bit after that first Hour, needed to add a little time after restarting
Finally about 6:30 p.m. I fed the Cat then brought in the BBQ, just looking GREAT!

~ Smoked BBQ Pork out of the Smoker and ready to Go! ~

I had made some fresh Cole Slaw earlier, I Set out a bowl, sliced off some BBQ, made a Sandwich and back to the TV
Had my BBQ, sipped my Wine and finished off another Productive and Lucky Day

~ First Tiny Crop from my Indoor Garden ~
~ Moved the Tomato Bed Base down the Hill ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ My Winter Garden on Monday Morning ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

OK now Tuesday... what now? Another Bizzy Bizzy Day like Monday? Well more nice Weather ahead
They are saying Sunny with a High of 70 Degrees, that is a DNP Day again!
And... First thing I took a look at my Aerogardens like every Morning... WHAT! Look there!
The Basil plant was touching the Grow Light and I just raised the Lamp yesterday
Grew over an inch overnight, was burning the top leaves... I picked them off, raised the Lamp again
Then I put the Basil Leaves into the Oven to dry, can't be wasting any of my Indoor Crops
I was just reading yesterday, it is important to prune your Basil to make it bushy instead of tall

Long, long Morning... Got up at 4 a.m. that used to be 7 a.m. Just a bit too early for me
So off to the Price Chopper for some Gizzards for the Cat and my Scratchers, won nothing
Then sampled my Apple Strudel, OK but not too impressed, hope the Turnover is better

And then out on that Cool Morning and back up the Hill about 9 a.m. otr so, another big Project waiting
I started prying up the Tomato Bed Base with my Spading Fork, came up easier that I thought
Then I flipped it over and out of the Bed, next get it down the Hill, took the smaller sub Base first

~ Project for Tuesday ~ Move the Tomato Bed ~

I got that Base set and leveled and then went back up for the Big Bed Base, that's a HEAVY hunk of Wood
All muddy and damp, heavier than the dry Wood would be, anyway I managed to drag it down

~ This Mess Here ~ Goes Down There ~

Then I set it on top of the Sub Base, that was to be all of that for the Day, still have several Months
Next some heavy Digging to level that Base, the back left Corner needs the most leveling, front is level now

~ Leveled in Front but Not in Back ~ Waiting for the Soil and Reassembly ~

OK, done for the Day out back, then time for a Margarita, some TV News and think up something for Dinner
Burger and Fries again? That should do it, then on with the News, Lots of stuff about the Royals Parade
I set the DVR to Recored, got a lot of footage, they are saying that 800,000 People showed up
The Metro area haa something over a Million Population but the Population of Kansas City Missouri alone is about 450,000
And all in one place at one tme, and one mess of a traffic Problem in and out
Why all of the blue in the Photo? Well they are wearing Kansas City Royal's Blue!

~ Part of the Crowd in front of the Union Station ~

And that was it for another busy Day on Tuesday, more Digging out back today?

~ Kansas City Wins the World Series! ~
~ One Long Busy Day on Sunday ~
~ And another Busier Day on Monday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ One More 'Insider Build' of Windows 10 ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And up at 5 a.m. on Monday, which used to be 6 a.m. a couple Days ago
Well I usually get up around 5 a.m. but it was 4 a.m. Sunday Morning
And usually... by the time I get used to the new Time, it is time to change it again

So it was a long busy Day on Sunday, just out sight nice weather, like to see more of that again
I got some more Bed tear down Work done on the Hill Gardens and would like to do more today... IF
A little more soil needs to be moved from the old Cucumber Bed and then I can start moving the Tomato Bed
That is a 4 X 8 Foot Bed Base and holds a lot of Soil and is really heavy in itself
And I need to replace the Cage Netting and rework the Trellis I have for that Bed

So what was the rest of Sunday? A really long afternoon ahead, three dinky $10 Wins was all I did in Lottos
I decided on a Burrito for Dinner, took a frozen one out of Freezer for later
Mixed a Margarita and then started on a Movie on the TV, mixed that with a News catch up and whatever
Finally creepimg toward World Series Baseball time but I was already getting sleepy at 7 p.m.
They take their time getting the Game stated, all those ceremonies and Ads to wade through
They start the timing of the DVR at 7 p.m znd cut it off at 10 p.m. I missed the last three Game endings on that
Last Night I started the DVR manually, to see if would get the whole Game in that way

So I started watching the Game but couldn't keep my attention on it and headed off to bed... But!
This Morning I see they Won the Game and the World Series, Four Games to One... Great!

So... off to the New Week, what adventures lie ahead now? More digging on the Hill?
HOT DAWG! Checked the Weather at 6 a.m. Says Highs in the 70s for the next Three Days! Up the Hill fer sure!

8:30 a.m. Off to the Price Chopper, needed Cherries and Puff Pastry... I had six Apples and thought I would bake Strudel
And of course my Daily Lottos, spent $20, only won $5 back, not a good start
And then a late Breakfast, another slice of that super Pumpkin Bread, better to call it CAKE!
Some TV News catch up and then back to the Kitchen to start my Strudel, my own take on the thing

~ My Old Slicer, Corer ~ It would not Peel ~ My New One Does All ~

Got out my Handy Dandy 'Peeler, Slicer, Corer' and peeled, sliced and cored five Apples
Then I added Raisins, Brown Sugar, Cinnamon and Nutmeg, set that aside, set out the Puff Pastry to thaw
Then, added the Apples and Raisins and folded them over, Sealed and into the Oven to get that Aroma wafting
And WAH LAH! A half Hour or so later... Mein Apfelstrudel... Ja mein Freund, Herr Sigi Wulle?

~ El Pato Style 'Apfelstrudel' ~

So, the Strudels were in the oven, but I had a Cup or so of Apples and Raisins left over
And I had a Refrigerated Crust in the Fridge.. so... Apple Turnover next

~ Impromtu Apple Turnover ~

And now, I still have two slices of Pumpkin Pie in the Fridge, and most of a Loaf of Pumpkin Bread
What to do with all this new Baked Stuff? Well Pies freeze nicely, I suppose one of those Strudels will too
And I can freeze the Turnover for later also... and work on eating up all the Strudel and Pumpkin Bread
Well I told you I like to Smoke, Cook and Bake... so that's what happens... a Treasure of Home Baked Stuff

Then a Computer Break after the Baking Session and my Margarita and TV News catch up
Then I checked the Laptop again, another Update was ready.. I checked this one close... OK it was Build 10576
Not that deadly Build 10565 that almost wrecked three of my Computers, this one Updated fine

And then... continuing my very Busy Day... Out and up the Hill in that just perfect Weather, Sunny and 73 Degrees
Headed up about Noon-Thirty, just planned to haul down the last load of Soil from the old Cucumber Bed Site
That is treacherous Ground for someone that can't hardly stand up on flat Ground
Full of Mole Hills that make the ground spongy, and uneven and steep to start with, anyway I put the Beds up there
So I am the one to bring them back down, and now two Down and One to go, got the last Load loaded
And then the easy part, trundling the 'AeroCart' down the Hill, dumped it in the Bed and done out there for the Day!

~ The Last Load from the old Cucumber Bed ~

Back in at 1:30 p.m. Then the big decision... Manhattan or Margarita? And store those Baked Goods away
And it was a Manhattan, and I put all the Baked stuff in Baggies, some in the Freezer some in the Fridge
Left one Strudel on the Table for immediate consumption but most is still there this Morning (Tuesday)
Then... 'What's for Dinner?'... I set out a big Bun and Burger to thaw, Buttered and Cheezed up some Cauliflower
Then I went back to the TV to watch the end of the last World Series Game... And the DVR quit before the 9th Inning
And that's when all the winning Royals action occurred... BAH HUMBUG! Such poor Game coverage planning!

And so what could I do? HAH! I 'Mirrored' my Phone to the TV and went hunting on the Internet
And I found a site that played all of the big action scenes from tne 9th Inning on my TV... Ain't Tech wonderful?

OK then, got that Dinner going, and finished up a very busy Gorgeous Weather day... You sure this is November?

~ New Day ~ New Week ~ New Month ~
~ One More Windows 10 Build ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Wanna Slice of my Pumpkin Bread? ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Saturday Evening, more World Series baseball, Game Four, started off well enough with the Royals ahead
But during the long afternoon, I had a Margarita, then a Manhattan, then Dinner and I was getting sleepy
So then when the Mets got a couple Runs and were ahead, I gave up and went to Bed
And then Sunday Mornng I saw the Kansas City Royals won and were ahead Three Games to One, back in the Saddle again!

And now a New Month and a New BLOG Page and where to start off the Month on my Fortune Hunt?
I still have some of my $100 Winning Tickets Money left, looks like it will be Machine #2 at the Price Chopper
I need Milk and Apple Juice so that's the choice to start the Day... and ALL if I don't win something

And so, my Computer Morning went well, checked the Bank, Checked my Email, Checked Facebook
Finished my BLOG, and then checked Updates.. Another Windows 10 Build ready to go
So I got it going and on to other things, the Update finished, I checked it out, ran OK this time
No heavy slow down like the last Build and it even seems a little faster.. I like that

So then I installed it on my second Dell Desktop, then started it on the HP Desktop
Next I'll get it going on the Laptop and be all up to date on all four Machines

Then off to the Price Chopper for my Milk and Apple Juice and Lottos, traded in $10 of Wins
Then scratched off another $10 Winner, then to go sample my Pumpkin Bread at 9 a.m.
And YOWSUH! That stuff is GOOD! So much better than my Pumpkin Pie which was pretty good itself
And so then... I started the latest Update on my Laptop, and did not notice it was NOT the latest
It turned out that the Update was Build 10565, the one that sickend my Desktops so bad
And it really made my Laptop deathly ILL! It said it was 'Low on Memory' and would do NOTHING
It would not even shut down until I closed the lid and waited and then rebooted it
And then as soon as the Desktop appeared I went to Settings and started the "Return to Earlier Build'
So MS wanted to know why... I told them and started the rollback... It worked and now back to Build 10547
Now for sure, I'll check that the next Build will not be that horrible Build 10565

And then... Just a GORGEOUS November Day! Sunny and 70 Degrees at Noon, I headed out and up the Hill
Out in a T-Shirt in the Sunshine and got to work, knocked off the last end of the Tomato Bed
Then carried the Ends and Gates of that Bed down the Hill where I'll move the Tomato Bed
That just leaves the tall Trellis that was in that Bed for the Tomatoes to climb

And that was it for the Bed Move Sunday, when I get in the Mood again I'll move down the Tomato Bed Base
That is another BIG Job and then all the Soil in that bed to move too, that can wait awhile

And so, into the Afternoon and Evening, a Margarita and maybe another World Series Game?

~ Pay Day Saturday! ~
~ Baked Pumpkin Bread ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Third $100 Win for October ~ What can we do in November? ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Out Saturday into a Dark and Wet and Cool Morning, not as Cool as Friday though, was 50 Degrees
Sure no Soil hauling again for that Day, dark, dismal and muddy back up on the Hill
So off to the Price Chopper on a Happy Money Day at least and all Bills scheduled to be paid
And still some of those Winnings in my Pocket to try again, and I bought $25 worth
And lost on the first Five but won $25 on the last one, my favorite, back to even up

So then what? Bored outta my Gourd at 9 a.m. And a long drab Day ahead
Well, best way to get out of boredom is to start on another project, what's the Project for Saturday?
Well, I like to Smoke BBQ, Cook and Bake, what's to do Today? Almost out of that first Pumpkin Pie
So how about some Pumpkin Bread... That's easy, got plenty of Pumpkin... only takes one Cup

I had Three Packs of Pumpkin in the Freezer, two Two Cup Packs (for Pies) and one One Cup Pack
So I checked, I had everything I needed except some Walnuts, ran back to the Price Chopper for that
Then, mix the Dry Ingredients, then the Wet Ingredients, stir together then fold in the Raisins and Nuts
Then into a Loaf Pan and into the Oven to savor the Baking Aroma for an hour or so

And that was done by Noon-Thirty so then what? Gimmee something to do!

~ A Tempting Loaf of Fresh Baked Pumpkin Bread ~

Ok then, while nothing is going on, how about a check on the Indoor Winter Garden
Lessee, planted the first one on October 11, then Number Two about a Week later
And Number Three about a Week or so after that, and the Basil is doing the best, the Dill wants to fall over
And the Parsley in the first Garden still has it's 'Grow Crown' on, coming along very slowly

~ Basil, Dill and Parsley ~ Lettuce ~ Mighty Mini Tomatoes ~

There is a litle red light that comes on every couple weeks, indicates need to add Nutrient
The one on the Herb Bed came on last week, this Morning the Lettuce Bed Light was on
So I gave it a little more of the Grow Juice then made Coffee and on to the Computer and Sunday Morning

And... A new Month... Ohhhhhhhhh... December just 30 Days away?
