~ ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Cucumbers and Big Boys Tomato way up in the Tree ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Monday Morning, last Day of the Month... Pay Day on Tuesday HOORAY! Made it again
Well I did have a pretty good Lotto Month, I may have made a profit... too much Math to find out
Checked my Email, says my AT&T Micro Tower will be delivered Tuesday! Hooray again!
I want to see how well it solves my low Phone signal down here in the Gully

Then, finished my Coffee, worked my online Crosswords and up the Hill out back to water again
Just hardly any good crops at all back there this year, just too much Rain and not enough Sun
And a few days back I saw I had some nice Tomatoes getting big and then Saturday I saw they were GONE!
Now What! Squirrels take one bite and go, Deer can't get in there... WHO STOLE MY TOMATOES!

~ Where did my Tomatoes Go? ~ Cantaloupe Plants look Good ~

So then back in and into the Shower to wash off any adventurous Chiggers from up there
And then off to Kicks 66 for my final August day of Lottos, and only won a dinky $5
Then next door to the Price Chopper for some Goodies, stuff to do up some more 'Eggplant Parmesan/Mozzerella'
I had those two little Nubbins I picked up on the Hill and several more in the Fridge
So that should be enough for a small Casserole of my 'Especial Berenjenas con Tomates y Queso

And, on into the pleasant afternoon although a lot warmer than the last few Days
I was out front checking my Cucumbers and Tomatoes in the Pots, some small Cucumbers setting on
And some more nice 'Big Boys' Tomatoes, be another week or more for then, make up for the missing ones out back
And then we had a little Breeze and the Tomato Stake was wobbling back and forth some... Oh Oh...
One Pot full of Tomatoes fell over one year, had to pick all the green ones, so what to do

So, I had some Plastic Rope, and a couple big Rocks out front, let's get at it
I hefted two big Rocks over from next Door, tied a Rope from the Rock in front to the Stake
And then repeated the process in the back, looks solid, that might hold them...

~ Tomato Plant Blew over in 2007 ~ I tied this 2015 Pot down and hope for the Best ~

So that was about it for outside, let's cook some Eggplant Nubbins, started by putting some Olive Oil in a Casserole
Put that in the Oven to heat while I peeled and cut the Nubbins in half, then into a beaten Egg and Olive Oil
Next, covered the Eggplant with Pankos Crumbs, into the reheated Olive Oil and then more stuff on top
Like first, some more Panko Crumbs, then a layer of Mozzerella Cheese, then sliced Red Ripe Tomato slices
Some more Cheese, then a layer of chopped Bell Pepper and Sweet Onion, then om top, Parmesan Cheese, looking good!

Into the Oven for maybe a half Hour, smelling great, then out looking really Tasty

~ 'Some more Especial Berenjena con Queso y Tomates ~

So I finished up Monday with a plate of that concoction and very Tasty it was
Now Tuesday Morning, was looking for my AT&T Micro Cell to be delibered today
But the reschedued it for Wednesday, well I have been doing with a low Phone Signal for 15 Years
Maybe I can hold out for one more Day... Now Pay Day Today... off to my Lottos!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And what for Sunday except another nice Weather Day? Off to the Races

And first to the Price Chopper for a win of nothing and back for more and only a Win of $5
That sure won't do... so back for more and a Win of only $10 this time

Then it was about time for a late Breakfast, I baked some nice big Pillsbury Biscuits
And hotted up some home made Sausage Gravy to dump on top, Biscuits and Gravy... YUM!

I got a catch-up Photo on the way back in, the Cucumber Vines are about 10 feet up in the Tree
And that 'Big Boys' Tomato plant is almost at 8 feet and no place to go, no tendrils to catch the Tree limbs

~ Cucumbers 10 Feet up in the Tree ~ Tomato Plant almost at 8 Feet ~

On to a very nice day, kind of Hazy Sunny and only 80 Degrees at 1 p.m. Took a look out front
And the Coleus was looking kind of wilty and was whispering out..."Water Me please'
So I hooked up the Hose and watered everything out front, then filled up my little Fountain
Next I dragged the Hose next door to water the Plants that I planted over there, not looking all that great
Somehow all the orginal Plants there died... and most all the ones I planted, not sure what the problem is
I think the Ground underneath the underlayment is just too rocky and dry to keep the Plants going

And so, already thinking of 'What's for Dinner' at close to 2 p.m. I thought maybe some more of that Smoked Chicken
And some Potato Salad might go good with that, so out to the Kitchen to start on that

I make my Potato Salad about the same way each time but somehow it turns out a little different from one batch to the next
I always include sme chopped sweet Pickle but this time I had none, so I subbed some Home Made Relish
And this time the Salad was a bit better than usual, have to try that again

I toasted and buttered a slice of Home Made Bread, hotted up the Chicken and back to the TV wth my Feast
That would up a nice Sunday with not a lot happening for excitement but sometimes that is best

~ Another Nice $50 Lotto Win Friday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, I wasn't quite finished rambling on about Friday, I did some old time Cooking Friday afternoon
While I was waiting for my Blazer Tire repair I was thinking of 'What's for Dinner'...
Well I have those big oversized Lotto Prize Hot Dogs in the Freezer, how about some 'Beans and Franks'
An old time easy and cheap Dinner with Hot Dogs and Pork and Beans like Momma used to make, sounds good
I needed some Beans but that had to wait til I got my Wheels back later, but I started on the other stuff

The regular way is just to cut up the Hot Dogs and drop them in the Beans and heat them up, easy Huh?
But I don't do things the 'regular way', I like to jazz things up in the Kitchen my way, the spicy and tasty way
Well I had made a kind of spicy 'Salsa' and a Jar of that was in my Fridge, so on to the additives
I put a couple of the big Hot Dogs out to thaw, then chopped up some Sweet Onions and Bell Pepper
On the Stove with that and then added a generous quantity of the Salsa, let that simmer away
After a bit when the Hot Dogs had thawed I cut them up and dumped them in the Pot, then all ready for the Beans

So, after I picked up my Blazer, back next door to the Price Chopper, picked up a big can of Bush's 'Grillin Beans'
I got the Southern Pit BBQ Flavor, they are pretty tasty all by themselves, dumped them in the Pot when I got back
Then later for Dinner with my TV, a Plate of 'Beans and Franks' and some Buttered 'Nature's Harvest Eight Grain' Bread
And Oh Man, sooooo GOOD! Best plate of Beans and Dogs I can ever remember, hit it out of the Park on this one!

On to the Email and BLOG Saturday Morning, in the Mail from from AT&T... 'Pleased to inform you your order is on the way
That is the free 'Micro Cell' they sent me to improve my Cell Phone Signal at Home where it is the lowest in the City
Looking forward to trying that, should be here first of next week... Then on to the Day...

And about that time I was heading out when I got a Call from Nature Sanctuary Director Bob Fluchel
He said they were having a FOPNS Meeting Downtown and would I be able to take some Photos for them
So I had an hour to go and I said OK, I'll be there and headed on to the Fast Stop
I traded for my Lottos at the Fast Stop and then headed to the Price Chopper, I wanted to Smoke some Chicken
I wanted a Sweet Onion and Bell Pepper so I hit the Produce Section first, talked to mi amigo Luis there
Picked out a nice Pepper and Onion, then around the corner to get another Bottle of 'Lunazul' 100% Blue Agave Tequila
On to the Meat counter to pick out a pack of Chicken Leg Quarters, on sale of course, then a Bottle of KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce
And a Bottle of Ranch Dressing and a Shaker of A-1 BBQ Dry Rub, then all set for BBQ when I got back from the Meeting
Before I left for that I worked my Lottos... Oh Woe... Only a $5 Win from the Fast Stop

And then on down to the FOPNS Meeting, upstairs across the Street from the Coffee House
Upstairs there to the Meeting Room of the Parkville Main Street Association who had offered their Space
Past Sanctuary Director Jim Reed and his wife Diane were there, then Bob abnd Dean arrived
They got the Key from the Shop below and we headed up and the Members filtered in and they began the Meeting
And I got a few Photos that Bob Fluchel wanted and then I left to start on my busy BBQ Afternoon

~ 'Friends of Parkville Nature Sanctuary' Meeting ~

Oh, I didn't mention that after I posted my Daily Drivel, first thing, I headed up the Hill in back
And I found a few 'Nubbins' and some nice sized Cukes for Salads later, and a few small Eggplants too

~ Slim Fingers Eggplants and some Fresh Cucumbers ~ And one Dinky Jalapeno ~

When I got back from the Meeting I started on the BBQ, rinsed and trimmed the Chicken then on wih some BBQ Dry Rub
Fired up the Smoker and got the Chicken on about 11:45, some Sweet Smoke Aroma began to fill the Air
And then I thought about those fresh Cucumbers, some Salad would go good with the Chicken? Yeah...
But I needed some Tomatoes, back to the Price Chopper, some of those nice fat red ripe Pear Tomatoes on sale
So a Box of those and then a nice big Bell Pepper and another big luscious Sweet Onion
And I cashed in my $5 Lotto ticket, bought four more and then won two back for a $30 Win... Better this time
Back Home, prepped my Salad, into the Fridge and about 2:30 p.m, the Chicken out of the Smoker... lookin good
I brushed on some KC Masterpiece Sauce and into the oven for a half hour or so to hold warm for later

~ Some Smoked Chicken on Saturday ~

Well that was about it for another Busy Busy Day and Gorgeous Weather and fine Food
Now Sunday Morning and an early start on another Good Day?

~ One More $100 Lotto Win Thursday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And off to the Coffee House again on Friday Morning, I parked and then Pat Harris arrived
I got to hold open the Door as ahe entered and then we joined Lewis Jonas at his Table
A short time later Director Bob Fluchel came in to help liven up the Party and the Chat started
I gave Lewis and Bob their Blu-ray Copies of the Time Capsule, Pat said she would watch it on my BLOG
Then Bob and I both did a 'Show and Tell' with iphone for him and Galaxy for me
And Sir Bob does enjoy the Larger, Brighter, Sharper Screen on my Samsung Galaxy S6+, the best made so far

~ Bob showing Pat and Lewis his iphone ~

For you iphone Fans, good news, the Main Chip in the new S iphone to be released in September
Will be made for Apple... by Samsung... But the Camera and Display will not be much better than now

I had to try out my Phone Video Camera there and it seems to do a pretty good job
Well it does have a 3840x2160 (4K) (30 fps) Video Camera, Regular HD is 1920x1080 as on my Panasonic AVCCAM

So we had a better than usual Chat Meeting, and ran on until 9:30 a.m. Pat and Bob left to work in the Sanctuary
And Lewis had places to go and I wanted to get my Lottos and win some more

It was time for me to check in at Kicks 66, I shop around for my Lottos, got four of my Favorites
Then I stopped at Chuck's Garage next to the Price Chopper, one of my Blazer Tires has a slow leak
I left my Wheels there, they said they would call me, and I walked the Mile back home
Back home, then I worked my Lottos for a $5 'Margaritaville' Win and another nice 'Double Crossword' for $50!

Earlier I was running through the Time Capsule Video, saw I had spelled 'Vidioes' in a Subtitle
Well, I can't have that, I re-edited that and Spelled it correctly and set it to Render again
And the Video File was ready to Upload again when I got back, I started the replacement of that File on Vimeo

Oh yeah, I stopped for my Mail when I got back, there was a Package from Amazon, my Wireless Charger
I unpacked it, plugged it in and set my Galaxy on top to recharge, easy as it can get!

~ Wireless Charger plugged in and Ready ~ And Charging My Galaxy Phone ~

And then the long wait until time to go get my Blazer... Ho Hum... I called Chuck's Garage about 3:30 p.m.
She said they had been really busy but that my Blazer would be ready about 5 p.m. just before they close
So Boss Bob, Manager, or Tom our Maintence Man, would have given me a ride up there but they go home about 4 p.m.
And Pat around the Corner would have offered but she makes me wear a Seat Belt, that's against my Religion
But I wanted to see if after walking that first Mile back Home... If I could walk that Mile back, a couple of really steep Hills

So I started aout about 4:25, the first Hill is in front of my Place... and Steep! I rested at the top
Then on to Bell Road and up the small Hill past Pat's Place, then down the first Steep Hill and then up the Next
I stopped to take a breather now and then, finally made it to Chuck's about 4:50 and my Blazer was ready
Then the good News! No flat... just low on Air for some reason... And No Charge! They treat me right there
Then, next door to the Price Chopper, needed a few Items for Dinner and Saturday and also traded my $55 in Lottos
And I got four more and won a $5 and a $20, that nade a Total Win of $80 for the Day.. Nice!

On to Cocktail, Dinner, TV and off to bed... This Drivel to be continued... Saturday Morning

~ And One More Nice $100 Lotto Win! ~

~ The Crowd at the Time Capsule Event ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now let's see what happened on Thursday if anything... I think I remember it was a pretty nice Day
I got started on editing that latest Video, only interesting for us local Folk and for me
Interesting for me also as they asked for some Videos of the Nature Sanctuary and I gave then five of them
One of my best 'Trail Walk' there, and then one each of the three main special annual Events
'Nature Day Camp', 'Ghost Story Night' and the 'Christmas Trail Trek with Santa', then one more
I gave the Mayor a copy of the 'Tribute to Barbara Lance', and they said they would include that too

Then I burned a Blu-tay DVD of the new 'Time Capsule' Video, took that to City Hall
And gave it to Tim Blakeslee, Assistant City Administrator to do with as they would like

Then I set off to win my Fortune and I did win a nice one, the second $100 Win for August
Back home then to burn off two DVDs for Bob Fluchel and Lewis Jonas, will take them to the Coffee House today
Then an experiment, I copied the new Video to an SD Card and played it back on my Laptop
That would be very handy for a location with no Wi-Fi, to show my Videos without going to the Internet

And then I think that was about it for the Day, the rest pretty Routine finishing with another of those Lotto Prizes
This time a nice Beef Burger and Fries and again another Episode of 'Breaking Bad'... so bad it is interesting!

And here is that latest Video for the Local Folk, not for sophisticates like Herr Sigi Wulle in Germany
He gets his non-news and entertainment from that Brit Rag online... the London Daily Mail... (pure trash)

Now, I need to finish up my Morning Routine and head down to the Coffee House for 'Show and Tell'

~ Started on the New Video Again ~
~ And Goofed... Big Time! ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ The Photographer and the Time Capsule ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And so, Wednesday Morning, had my Juice, poured my Coffee, thought I would edit the new Video
But first I thought I would do a little File cleanup, I had a lot of old Vides and Edits in my Files
So I did a sweeping cleanup filling up the Recycle Bin... and then, emptied the Recycle Bin
STOP! May I warn that you not to do this unless you are perfectly sure? Well I dumped it anyway

And onto my new Video, opened up my Sony Vegas Video Editor, OOOPS! the previous start on the Video was not there
Well, no big Deal, load the Video and start over... OOOPS! My raw Camera footage was gone! OH WOE!
Now what? I did spend lot of effort getting that boring Ceremony on Video for whoever might want to see it
Like Lewis at Coffee Wednesday Morning, said he looked for my Video and it wasn't online and I told him the Sad story

Anyway... What do you do when you accidently empty your deleted Files from the Recycle Bin?
I had heard the Authorities could retrieve deleted Files ao how do you do that?
I got online and looked around, several sites listed recovering Files and I checked them out
So I downloaded one that had received a good review, started it up and it said it could take a few hours
So I got my Morning Routine all wound up and headed down to the Coffee Shop, took my Laptop and external Hard Drive

And Lewis was there alone.... Good! I wanted to show him 'Side/Sync' and how all my Videos were on the External Drive
But then Dean Jernigan came in and that postponed my participation, then only Lewis and Dean do the talking
I mostly only want to talk Tech Talk and Gardening and my stuff, they talk about things I have little interest in
And then Bob Fluchel came in for a quick Cup, he had things to do at the Nature Sanctuary
But I got him to listen to a few Comments I had to offer, then he finished his Coffee and left

So then I waited for some of the talk to run down and then showed Lewis my latst Goodies
Then the party broke up, I headed for my Lottos and then Home to check on my File retrieval effort
And WOW! A Ton and a half of Files were ready, I had to wade though a lot of them and delete them again
Then I found my Video Files and started on my Edit again and then made good progress on it until Cocktail time
I kept on for some time but then it got tedious again and I postpoed that project again

Then on to another really nice Afternoon, on into the Evening with another Fresh Salad and Omaha Prize Steak
Now, Thursday... Post this drivel and then back to that Video... CHARGE!

~ Then just a Routine Day ~

~ Las Flores son Mas Bonitas ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Tuesday Morning... What Now, up at 5:30 a.m. Not quite ready for the Day but I started anyway
Poured my Apple Juice, put the Coffee on to Brew, Checked the Bank, looked OK, Checked Facebook, a couple comments
A couple short messages on Messenger from Sigi, then on to my BLOG, finished and posted that
Then opened my Video Editor, started on that latest boring Video, and I got bored with that very quickly
So on to my Morning Routine and off to the Day... Where to for Lottos? didn't do any good on Monday

A disappointing word about the Video, Director Bob Fluchel was first supposed to donate my Videos
But then he didn't know if he could make it and I called Director Emeritus Jim Reed to do that
Then someone didn't tell the Mayor, and at the Event she called for Bob Fluchel and no answer
As he didn't answer, I walked over to tell her that Jim Reed was there and she called for him
He didn't have my DVDs to enter and not much of a Speech to give and no mention of who made the Videos<
She had mentioned to Jim they were already in the Capsule, anyway -I- know they are MY Donation to the Capsule
No one there knew me anyway and wouldn't care who did it anyway, at least I am Famous... in my own Mind!

And so, the Lotto Hunt all over again, went to the Price Chopper and only won $15 there
Took that back to the Fast Stop to trade for more and won nothing, where is my luck when I need it?
Money starts to get scarce at the end of the Month unless I win some big ones

But that doesn't stop me from ordering more Tech Toys, I decided to order that Wireless Charger for my Galaxy
And AT&T is supposed to send me that Micro Cell, but there is no charge for that
So then on into the usual pleasant Afternoon and Evening, nothing to write home about

And now Wednesday Morning... Thinking to run down to the Coffee Shop, show them that 'Side/Sync' stuff
That is, if they let me have a few Minutes to butt in, Tech Talk is about all I want to offer

~ Ever Onward and Upward ~

~ Another Small Harvest from the Pots out Front ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Monday Morning and more Phone and Computer fun... I saw a comment about the Samsung 'Side/Sync' Application
And it was already installed on my new Phone, so I downloaded it to my Main Dell Computer to play with
I checked, it has been around awhile but new to me and seems it can be very useful
You can transfer Files to and from each Device and also show the Phone Screen on the Computer
And use the Computer Keyboard to type text on the Phone and use the Computer Mouse to manipulate the Phone services
So I took a few photos of what was possible but sure not all you can do with this very slick Application

~ The Home Screen on the Phone ~ Mouse to the Apps Screen ~ Typing a Message on Yahoo Messenger ~

~ Message 'Sent' on Messenger ~ Typed the URL with the Computer KB ~ Internet Page opens on the Phone ~

~ Internet Page seen on the Computer ~ Same Page seen on the Phone ~ Taking a Photo with the Phone ~

The Photo Above, when taking the Photo, the Photo goes to the 'Gallery' on the Phone and to the Drop Box on the Computer and online too
So it is available also on any of my other Computers online at Drop Box... very handy

And then off again to seek my Fortune and get some Gas, headed to the Fast Stop, got my Gas
Inside to buy my Lottos and chat with the Uzbeki Guy about the Samsung Side/Sync Program, he was interested
But he has a iphone and not sure they have an application that does what it can do, but then... Those 'iphones'
That 'I stuff' is meant for those that do not 'Care to buy the very Best'... My take-off on the old Hallmark Cards slogan
Based in Kansas City, the famous Hallmark Greeting Cards Company ended their commercials with this...
"Hallmark Cards... When you Care Enough to Give the Very Best!" and that sure ain't Apple

OK that took me well into the Afternoon and Cocktail time... And then... a comment on a call to AT&T Sunday
A friend called me, I answered on my new Smart Phone, he said I was 'breaking up'... well that has been the norm here
There is a Cell Tower about a mile up the Road but I live down in the bottom of the Hill near the Creek
And for all the 15 years I have lived here the Signal has been the lowest I get anywhere, only one tiny 'Bar'
So he said he had the same trouble and AT&T gave him a 'Micro Cell' and he lived happily ever after
So I called AT&T, explained my problem, the guy did some Signal checking and said yeah a Micro Cell might help
And he said there was a $75 rebate on buying one, would be only like $150 or so! I says "WHOA THERE!"

I told him I had been an AT&T Customer for over 50 years (true) and have lived with an inferior Cell Signal for 15 Years
He said then he would connect me to some one who might help... Yeah I guess, explained the same thing to him and he had a deal for me
He said he would send me a Micro Cell at no charge and throw in another 1 GB of Data for my Phone, a permanent increase
So now I am waiting for that, hook it up and get a solid Cell Phone signal for once.. Like the great Internet U-Verse signal I get now<

And that was pretty much my Monday, on to a pleasant Afternoon and Evening, now ready for anther entertaining Day

~ Ever Onward and Upward ~

~ Parkville Days 2015 on the River ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And now to finish up Saturday Afternoon, that last BLOG was getting too long
When I got home after the tiresome Trek in the Park... First I mixed a Margarita
Then I uploaded my Time Capsule Video to my Video Editor Program, checked it out, some looks OK
Got tired of that pretty quick, started preparing for Dinner, set out another of those Omaha Steaks to thaw
Then I made another Tomato, Green Pepper and Sweet Onion Salad for later, Didn't know I had a Cucumber ready

Then on to the TV for a News Catchup about 5 p.m. sipping my Manhattan... And I got sleepy... so tired...
So I put Dinner on hold, headed to Bed for a nap... Rare for me to do, woke up at 7 p.m.
Took a peek outside to see if the Cat was waiting, and no Cat, but the Impatiens was asking for Water
So I put my Shoes back on, hooked up the Hose and back out front, watered everything real good again

~ New Zealand Impatiens at 7 p.m. Says "WATER ME!" ~ At 8 p.m. Ahhhh Much Better ~

And while I was watering I saw there were a few of those little Eggplants big enough to pick
And one nice Cucumber in the Pot, just right for a single Salad, that will have to be the next one

Finished with that, time to start on Dinner, I had the Salad made and the Steak thawed, let's do the Eggplants
First I grilled the Steak, then into the oven to hold warm, then Peeled and cut up the little Eggplants
Then I deep fried the 'EP Nuggets' in my 'Fry Daddy', then the Steak out of the Oven, on the plate with the 'Nuggets'
Next, Steak, Eggplant and Salad, back to the TV with a Glass of Wine to catch up with Netflix again
Finshed the Dinner, the Episode of 'Breaking Bad' and I was finished for the day, off to Bed, busy Day!

OK, now to Sunday Morning, started Editing the new Video, some OK, some not OK, got tired of that
So I postponed to that and got on to the Day, already 10 a.m. and no Breakfast ant the Coffee gone
So into the Shower, finished the rest of my Morning routine and off to seek my Fortune all over again
Lessee, I won $110 on Wednesday, $130 on Thursday, only $25 on Friday and looks like $40 on Saturday

So what did I win on Sunday, not much... Went to the Fast Stop, won $5, headed back to the Price Chopper
Did a little better, won a $5, another $5 and a $10, that was that for the Day
Then the rest of the Day was pretty routine, a nice sunny mild day though, I did make it up the Hill in back
And I found one Salad size Cucumber and two 'Nubbins'... They are tiny but tasty, crisp and fresh
So for Dinner I added those two Nubbins to my Tomato and Cuke Salad, hotted up some Eggplant Parmesan
That made an ample late Dinner with another Vaso de Vino Tinto and some more Netflix... Good Night Irene

~ That New Really Smart Phone ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And where to on Saturday Morning, took awhile to get started after playing with the new Phone
Adding applications I wanted and feeling my way around, but most everything I run into is better or easier
I think that I am deeply in love with the BEST SMART PHONE on the Market today!

And so I took off first for the Fast Stop, had a $15 Winner to trade, Not too bad, won half my Money back
Then I remembered I needed some stuff at the Price Chopper, picked up a $5 Winner on that trip
But then, feeling lucky and bored waiting for the time to go down to the Park, I hit Kicks 66 for a $25 WIn

I was busy doing something on the new Phone when I heard the Parade go down Main Street at 10 a.m.
No desire to do another Parkville Days Parade Video, as they are pretty much all the Same every year
And I had that 'Time Capsule' Video to try at 12:30 p.m. Waited around for that, headed down a little after Noon

I had packed my Video Camera in a shoulder Bag to carry, I had my Tripod and Canon DSLR too
Parking is hard to find Downtown on these events but I knew where open space could usually be found
It is about two blocks West of Main Street and maybe an quarter of a Mile to the Stage in the Park
So I found a place at the end of that Street and treked on to the Park and Stage area
I did stop about halfway to rest on a Bench in front of the old Power Plant Restaurant, now closed, sadly

And then resumed the Trek on through the Park to the Stage Area where they were setting up for the Event
I asked a person sitting in the middle of the Front Row if I could use his seat to set up my Camera
Just a perfect spot and he did agree graciously to move over one Chair

~ Mayor Nan Johnson, First Donor ~ Jim Reed, Sanctuary Director Emeritus ~ Presenting my Video DVDs ~

I set up my Panasonic AVCCAM on a Tripod at the Center of the Front Row, then the Program began
And I wandered around here and there with my Canon DSLR getting more Video of the Presentation
Later in the Program I saw Jim Reed, retired Nature Sanctuary Director arrive, I had asked him to Present my Videos
The Program moved on, finally Jim Reed was called near the end, the Program ended and the Band started to play
I sat down to talk to Jim and Diane Reed, then packed up my Gear to head out, on leaving a nice young lady stopped me
She asked if would like some water, I said no, I had only a short way to go, but she insisted and I relented
It was a good idea, she said I looked like I was a bit overheated and I suppose I was so I sipped my water
She insisted I drink half the Bottle before she would let me go, so I sipped and we chatted

Then I started the long Trek (for me) back across the Park and up the Street to my Blazer
And it was a real Trek for me, A little more than half way though the Park I stopped to sit
I stopped at a Picnic Shelter and chatted with an elderly Gentleman sitting there
Then I continued on, out of the Park, through the Carnival, again stopped to sit in front of a Shop on Main Street
And chatted again with a young Lady who was working at a Stall in front of the Shop where she was helping out
Finally I headed across Main Street and the final two blocks or so to my Blazer and that was about all I could do
I'll have to admit I am getting too old to lug two Cameras and a heavy Tripod a quarter Mile to to a Video

So around the final corner, up the hill a bit to where my Blazer was parked, loaded in the Gear
Then headed back up the Hill to home, unloaded my Gear and finished out the Day, more of that in my next Diatribe
Another busy Day ahead again today editing all that Video from the two Cameras, not too easy but it's fun

~ Off to see the 'Finger Doctor' ~
~ New Galaxy S6 Edge + ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Fall Webworm Moth and Larvae that caused the Mess Next Door ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And Friday Morning, up early to do my Computer stuff, a busy day planned, got my usual stuff done
Then was thinking, I had that 1TB Hard Drive that I took out of my Laptop just sitting Idle
And I already had a USB Cable Adapter for a 2.5 Inch Hard drive, how about using it for backup?
So I hooked it up to my HP Desktop, formatted it and started copying all of my 225 GB of Videos to it
After that I would copy all my Photos and Music and Docs to it later, I left it running with the Videos
Then finished my Morning Routine and off to the busy Day ahead

~ Hard Drive from my Laptop ~ Using as External Storage ~

And off to see the Doctor, my appointment was for 9:40 a.m. Checked in at 9:30 and then WAITED!
And after waiting an HOUR, I was called in to the Exam Room at 10:30 (and they said to check in 15 minutes early)... HAH!
The Tech Assistant showed me to the room for a few questions and tests, then waited more for the Doctor
Then the Doctor came in, introduced himself and off we went for what's wrong, well it's "Dupuytren's Contracture'
I had been to another Doctor earlier for this and he said might as well wait, but it was bending more so...
So the first Doctor told me the Choices and I new the story and had checked online about it too
And the easiest but Costly, is an injection into the Finger with something that is supposed to straighten it
So that is in the Works, they will check wth the Insurance Company and Drug Company and he said he would notify me whan and what

That done I headed back and took a Detour to JC Penney on the Way back to buy sone Socks
And they had my favorite 'Gold Toe' Socks on sale, buy one Pack at Sale Price, get a second Pack half Price
Not a bad deal, at Penneys seems most everything is on sale every time I walk in

The next Detour, back down the Road is the AT&T Store and I got my Galaxy S6 Edge Plus on the first day it was available
And I got a Sales person after a short wait and he brought the Phone and started the tedious Process
I had thought I was going to have to buy out my Contract to trade but they gave me $200 for my Galaxy S5
And then I had Credit left to pay the Sales Tax and some left over and no cash out of my Pocket

Hard to understand their Phone Deals and I'll find our later just what it is going to cost me
So back home to check out that Phone and it sure is a WHIZ, so much better that the S5 it was hard to believe
Now I can see whay and more to learn about why they say it is the BEST Smartphone available today

And then I headed for Home, had to stop in the Fast Stop to get my Loser Lottos and show off my Phone
He's another unlucky iphone usuer, he looked a bit abashed at the new SUPER PHONE
He has the best iphone available and it is way behind the 'Galaxy S6 Edge' and 'Edge +'

Back home to scratch off my Losers and then back to the Price Chopper for a few things
I didn't intend to buy a Cantaloupe but I passed a display of good looking ones for 99 Cents each
So of course I couldn't pass that up, picked out a nice one and off for my other Items

~ Cantaloupe for 99 Cents ~ I Love my Price Chopper! ~

Then it was kick back time, Margarita, fresh home grown Cucumber and Tomato Salad for later
And later that Salad first then some hotted up leftover 'Eggplant Mozzerella/Parmesan' and a Glass of Vino Tinto
That finished up Friday and what for Saturday? Another busy Day maybe, first to the Coffee Shop
So they are having a Work Day at the Nature Sanctuary, meeting for Coffee first, the to Work
I'll stop in to show off my new Super Phone, give them my new Phone Number, chat a ;little
Then later they are having the 'Parkville Time Capsule' Event in the River Park and I plan to do a Video
So busy already today early and much busier later.. Off we go!

~ Lottos First and Then off to AT&T ~
~ Some Ex Terminator Duties for Boss Bob ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ An Artful Latte for Director Lewis Jonas at the Coffee House ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I stopped in first at Kicks 66 for four Lotto Tickets and lost on all... Oh Well
And then I was going to go to Verizon to finalize my next Phone, the Galaxy S 6 Edge+, available Friday
I had their price and was happy with it, thought I would check at AT&T first, see what they could do
And after talking to them on the Phone earlier looked like I would have to buy out of my Contract
But talking to the Guys who had a Tent set up out front, I could trade in my present Galaxy S5
So the new S6 Edge+ Phone will be available Friday and I'll head back up there to see if I can finalize the Deal

And headed back home, stopped in the Fast Stop again to talk Phones and bought three more Tickets
Won $5 and lost on two of them... That used up all the Profit I had made on Wednesday, win some, lose most

Well, I couldn't stop there, back to the Price Chopper, bought more and won $15, Took that $15 to Kicks 66
Traded that in, bought four more and then won a $5, $10 and a $20, that was looking better
Took that back to the Fast Stop, pocketed $15 Cash, bought four more and then won another $15
So if I have that figured right I spent $90, won back $70, a $20 loss but I had $20 worth of fun chasing them

About that time it was about 1:30 p.m. Time out for another Margarita on a Sunny, Mild and Gorgeous day
And, bye the bye, what is that ugly mess in the Tree next Door? Boss Bob has Bugs?
I looked it up on the Web... HAH! Fall Webworms... It sure looks like
Well I did see a Moth like that and a Worm like that on my front Veranda Wall yesterday, shudda smashed them
So I checked how to get rid of them, simplest way said to rake the Webs out of the Tree and dispose of them
And that also 'Sevin' worked to extermnate them, so I got got my Loppers amd Sevin Spray
I just cut most all the Limbs I could reach with the Loppers, raked them to the parking area
Hooked up my Hose and Sprayer and sprayed the closest Limbs in the Tree and those I cut on the Ground
Now I'll keep an eye on that Tree, see if I can catch any further infestation early... I am READY!

~ Webs in the Tree ~ Limbs with Webs cut and Sprayed on the Ground ~ Leaves and Limbs Sprayed with Sevin ~

And so, on into the afternoon, I mixed my Margarita, did some catching up on this Diatribe, not quite ready for afternoon TV
And, thinking 'What's for Dinner?' again, I set out a Brat Bun and one of those Super Big Hot Dogs to thaw
I also had some Chili ready in the Fridge... How about a Chili Dog? Yeah, let's do that

~ Big Hot Dog ~ Big Brat Bun ~ Big Sample of my Chili ~

But then I was thinking, I had that $15 worth of winner Lottos waiting, how about one more run?
So back to the Price Chopper, Rion cashed in my $15, gave me the Cash and I headed for the new Lotto Machine there
Added a $5 Bill and got four new Cards, headed back to el Ranchito Pequeno to scratch Lottos while sipping my Margarita
Started on the Margaritaville Card... No go... Then the Monopoly Card... HAH two $20 Winning Numbers!
Then the $100,000 Card... Hey Boy! A $5 and a $10 Number! Finally my Favorite Card, the Double Crossword... A $5 Win
So lessee... $20 and $20 = $40, plus $15 = $55... Plus $5 = a win of $60 Total. Profit for the Day $20
Spent $110, won back $130.. Well any profit is a good profit and what fun (for me) chasing the Rainbow!

Ok, finished another kind of busy Day, off Friday Morning to see what the Doctor can do about my 'bent' Finger
And... Maybe pick up that new 'Galaxy S6 Edge +' Smart Phone on the way back?

~ Nature Sanctuary Chat at the Coffee House Again ~
~ Then some nice Lotto Winners for Wednesday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Wednesday Morning, a bit of a glow in the East, says Partly Sunny for the Day but only a High of 74
That's pretty cool for an August Day, wonder how it will be Saturday, maybe a Video Project then?
It is 'Parkville Days Riverfest' time again, after a walk in the Park there in 2012, I passed out from the Heat
Maybe I will have better luck this year trying to Video the 'Parkville Time Capsule' Event

And then after my Morning Computer rambling I headed for the Shower and then down to the Coffee House
Lewis was there alone... I gave him his two DVDs and his Big Tomato and all was appreciated
I sat down to chat a few minutes and then Dean Jernigan came in... then Bob FLuchel... and more Chat
I showed Dean the Business Card I made a sample of for the FOPNS, he liked it, Bob wanted to make a couple changes
Well, that was what the sample was for, to get an idea of what they wanted... and so... we shall see

And we then adjourned about 10 a.m. I headed to Kicks 66 for my Lottos, a good Start there, a $40 and a $10 Win
So I took those back to the Price Chopper to trade, then won another $15, took that Win back to the Fast Stop
Traded again and then scratched a $25 Win... Back to the Fast Stop for another $20 Win... time to quit after $110 Total

Headed back Home and the Lady at the Next Building waved at me, thought I would check my Landscaping there
So I took her a couple of fresh picked Cucumbers and got a Photo of my Planting, seems like it is doing OK

~ Planted Spurge Next Door in May ~ And a Look at it in August ~

And then, I saw the Tomato Vines in the Pot were spreading out, got some Twine to tie them back up
They are now almost at 7 feet and I had to use my little Ladder to reach them, and more Tomatoes on there too

And I saw a couple more 'Little Fingers' Eggplants getting some good size in their Pot
The back inside to start thinnking of 'What's for Dinner'... That Cucumber Salad on Tuesday was sure Tasty!
So I set out one of my Prize Burgers to thaw and started on my Salad, this time I had one of my Tomatoes to add
Then, started with some my own Cucumbers sliced, then some Sweet Onion and Green Pepper from the Price Chopper
Topped with one of my Tomatoes cut up and then some home grown Sweet Basil and Buttermilk Ranch Dressing on top
Now that's some good stuff there Maynard!

~ Cucumber, Sweet Onion, Green Pepper and Tomato Salad for Wednesday ~

And again that was about it for the Day, finishing off as usual with something from Netflix
I am rewatching 'Breaking Bad' for the third time, in the second Season now, I watched all Seasons twice before
It seems that Show is as addictive as the Meth they are making on the Program, bad stuff but just can't leave it alone

So now it is Thursday, what now? No plans for today, Doctor amd maybe new Phone on Friday, that is pending
So, post this Diatribe, work a couple online Crosswords and then out into the World we go!

~ A Rainy Inside Day but Busy ~
~ More 'Omaha Steaks' Lotto Prize Delivered ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ One More 'Big Boys' Tomato for Lewis Jonas ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

A rainy start on Tuesday but I was busy on the Computer, and was watching my old Videos again Monday Night
Watched one of the WWI Liberty Memorial in Kansas City and thought that Lewis might like to have a copy
And I told him on Monday that I would burn him a copy of the Barbara Lance Tribute, he was a Participant
I had burned the Liberty Memorial in a format that wouldn't copy to a Blu-ray Disk so I had to render it again
Then Burned the DVD, and printed a Case Label and I used up most of the Morning doing that

And then off to the Fast Stop again for Lottos and got into a heated discussion about the iphone again
He just doesn't have the eye for the kind of Photo that I and most people I have shown it to prefer
Again check out these two Photos and vote for the one you like best... And if isn't the Galaxy I won't speak to you again!

~ Left iphone 6 Plus ~ Right Samsung Galaxy S 5 ~

Anyway we each took one of the Photos above, I headed home to scratch off a $15 Win and print the Photos
He emailed his Photo to me, I uploaded mine from my Phone... I printed them and took them back, and he liked his best(of Course)

He has the latest iphone... The next Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has an even better Camera and Display than my Galaxy S5
And I hope to check that out when I buy one on Friday of this Week... Hoo Boy!

So I was playing again with Videos and stuff on my Computer when I heard the Big Brown Truck pull up out in front
AHA! My latest Loser Ticket Free Lotto Prizes arrived, a 48 Pack of AAA Batteries and another BIG Box of Omaha Steaks
Put a Steak out to thaw, that would go good with a baked Potato and a fresh Cucumber Salad for Dinner

~ Nice Loser Lotto Prize ~ Steaks, Burgers and Hot Dogs ~

Into the afternoon, Cocktail and TV time and then it started to Rain again and Rain big
But I was snug as a bug in a rug, sipping my Margarita, looking out the window into the downpour
The Cat was out there about 5 p.m. waiting for dinner, then he took off when the Rain started
I had my Steak marinating, the Potato in the Oven, the rain stopped and the Cat came back
I put out some food for him and then made a Salad of fresh picked Cucumber, Sweet Onion and Green Pepper
Some Ranch Dressing on that, the Steak grilled and the Potato baked... a great Dinner and off to Bed

So, now Wednesday? I have two DVDs and a Tomato for Lewis and a draft of a Business Card for FOPNS as suggested
I'll pop in the Coffee House when I get around to it, drop off my stuff and scoot, don't plan to stay long
Then my Lottos and back home and then not a clue what to do... Ole!

~ A Coffee House Meeting with Lewis ~
~ Picked and Baked more Little Eggplants ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Latest Cucumber and Tomato Harvest ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I watched a few of my older Videos Sunday Night, I watched one I made with an old Grainy VCR Tape
It was of the Lewis and Clark Expedition re-enactment in Parkville on the River in 2004
Lewis and Bob Fluchel are both Parkville History Buffs so I burned off a DVD for each of then
And it was just a regular DVD, not Blu-ray as the Video was SD, and poor quality at that

Then I headed down to the Coffee House, Lewis, Dean and Alderman Jim Werner were at Lewis' regular spot
I gave Lewis his Tomatoes and DVD, then Director of Public Works Alysen Abel came in
Next Director Bob FLuchel, I gave him his DVD, they got their Coffee and headed upstairs for a Meeting
Dean Jernigan went with them, leaving Lewis and I to settle the latest World Problems
And we had some Chat, I showed him a few things on my Laptop and then we left a bit after 10 a.m.

Got my Lottos at the Fast Stop, won nothing again, not as good a month so far, well I did get that $75 and $100 Win
Then back for a very late Breakfast and checked my Email... WHAT! My AT&T U-Verse bill was $46.93 Higher!
So I called AT&T, talked to three People, first one couldn't do much but sympathize until I said I might Cancel
Then she said she would let me talk to her Supervisor, Gave him my Tale of woe, he couldn't do much
But said he would connect me to the 'Loyalty Team'... They checked my services and account over time
He said it was obvious I was a 'loyal Customer for a long time, he lowered the Bill about $34... A nicer deal

Then on to the Day, Got some Lottos at the Price Chopper, just won $15, need to do better
Out front then, saw that the Coleus and a couple Impatiens were drooping again, out with the Hose
They are needing a lot more watering these last few Hot Days... Then I saw that BIG Tomato ready to pick in the Pot
And since the Little Fingers Eggplants got some Miracle-Gro they woke up and started producing again

~ Picked more Little Eggplants ~ And One more BIG 'Big Boys' Tomato ~

And back inside to cool off, decided to do something with that Eggplant, maybe my take on Eggplant Parmesan
I sort of do it by ear... My Ear, usually comes out Edible, I'll call it my 'Berenjenas con Tomate y Queso'
So, I split the little Eggplants in half, a little Olive Oil in the bottom of the Casserole Dish
Next some Diced Green Pepper and Sweet Onions, then some Panko Crumbs, next some shredded Mozzerella
Then four big slices of Tomato, a little more Green Pepper and Onion. more Bread Crumbs and Cheese, ready then to Bake

~ Eggplant and Tomato in First ~ Some Mozzerella ~ Some Breadcrumbs and more Cheese ~ Baked and Ready for Dinner ~

And that was ready for the Dinner Hour, a Hunk of that, a Glass of Wine and entertainment from Netflix
That wound up another good Day and now off to anther Good Day on Tuesday... Yeah!

~ My Feeder Branch Broke and Fell Down! ~
~ Picked Tomatoes and Cucumbers ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Wired a New Branch to move the Feeder Away Saturday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Looked out first thing Sunday Morning, the Gazebo Feeder was laying on the Ground
So all that tree Climbing and Branch Wiring went for naught (what does 'naught' mean anyway?)
I saw a Squirrel hightail it up the Stairs... But I don't think a Squirrel weighs enough to break that Branch
But possibly with the weight of the Feeder on the end of it, anyway, my Project failed in one night
So, what to do? Forget that Feeder or just hang it straight down from a higher Branch?

~ Some Critter broke the Branch ~ And the Feeder came Tumbling Down Sunday! ~

And then, I picked one nice ripening Tomato off the 'Big Boys' Plant in the Pot
Next... Three little 'Nubbins' off the Cucumber Plants in the Pots... Then... up the Hill in back
And... One 'Nubbin' from the Cucumber Bed and several more good sized ones from the Plants in the Pepper Bed
And Two ripening Tomatoes from the 'Better Boys' Plants in the Tomato Bed, several more there on the way

Then off to Kicks 66 for my Lottos, cudda been worse, only won $15, back to the Price Chopper
Traded for more with Rion, and he gave me $10 he owed me, HAH! More Lotto Ammo, but only won a $5 Card

Sunny and getting Hot by then, but back out to rehang the Bird Feeder, tossed a Rope over a higher and stronger Limb
Tied the Feeder Hanger Wire to that, hooked on the Feeder and pulled it up to the Limb
Then tied the Rope around the trunk down low where I can reach it handily, I can still reach the feeder to fill it

~ Never say "I Quit!"... I say "Let's Try Again" ~

And again that was about all the action for the Day, off into a nice overly warm afternoon
Margarita and TV, fed the Cat, Had a nice Dinner and Netflix Catchup and off to bed

Now Monday Morning, off to a new Week, first thing burned a couple DVDs of an old Video for Lewis and Bob
They like Parkville Hstory and this is an old VCR Recording of the Lewis and Clark Visit to Parkville in 2004
Going to take them down to the Coffee house, also have a couple Tomatoes for Lewis
And just might do the Wireless Mike Test I wanted to do last Friday.... Off to the Races!...

~ Halfway Through August ~
~ Trapped another Raccoon ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Cucumber Plant up in the Tree on Friday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I peeked out front Saturday Morning, another Raccoon in the Trap, Tom set the last one free
So maybe I'll take this one for a ride out in the Country, he keeps getting at my Bird Seed in the Feeder
Wonder how I can keep them out of the Tree in front where the Feeder hangs... Oh... Move the Feeder out more

So... First Project for Saturday, get the Ladder, Wire and Wire Cutters, out to the Tree
Found a nice long Tree Branch to wire up in the Tree, let it hang out about three feet fron the Trunk
Wire it up securely and then fill the Feeder and hang it up on the new Branch... WAH LAH! Mission Accomplished

~ Feeder Next to the Trunk ~ And Three Feet Away ~

I saw the Raccoon in the Tree, reaching out to shake Feed from the Feeder, can't climb out on that skinny new Branch
A Squirrel could but I don't think he would try sliding down that Wire to the Feeder

And then off to find my Fortune, where is that Gold Mine? Haven't found it in the Lottery... Yet
So I needed some Milk, Price Chopper first and home to win a $5, $5 and $25... Nice Start...
Back to trade at the Fast Stop, and another iphone and Samsung discussion... iphoners just will not admit to defeat
So they are double losers, both with specifications and things to brag about... I just don't dig APPLE!
I am a kind of Photographer, I like the best Camera and the brightest and sharpest Screen and Samsung has it
Anyway I won a nice $10 there but it could have been better, only a slight profit for the Day

On into another warm and Sunny Afternoon, what about that Raccoon in the Trap?
Well, if there is nothing to eat out front and he can't reach the Bird Feeder (hopefully)
Then maybe after getting caught out there twice he might decide to forage elsewhere
But he isn't the only one hanging out here in the Windscape Nature Sanctuary, many more I hear

Anyway the rest of tha day was pretty routine, now off to find something to on Sunday

~ Ever Onward and Upward ~

~ To the Coffee House for a Mike Test ~
~ Delivered that - BIG - 'Big Boys' Tomato to Lewis ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ That Latest 'Big Boys' Tomato for Lewis ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And off to the Coffee House at 8:15 a.m. Lewis was there with Marc Siebert, Nature Sanctuary Volunteer
I sat down, gave my Tomato to Lewis, explained my Project, some Chat and then Marc had to leave for other venues
Then Lewis and I had a nice Chat about what WE wanted to talk about, no others to defer to
Was hoping for Bob Fluchel and others to join in so I could test out my Wireless Mike but no-go
So Lewis and I ran out of small talk by 9:30 and we took off, me to the Price Chopper
I needed a couple Items and of course my Lottos, back home to scratch off three $5 Tickets
Not enough so I headed back to the Fast Stop for more... And traded for more and only won $5... Oh well

And on the way out, I got a new Photo of my Cucumber and Tomato Race and of course the Cucumber won
But Cucumbers can climb on their own and the Tomato had to have help to keep fron falling over

~ The Cucumber Won the Race to the Tree ~ As Predicted ~

So into the Afternoon, up to 87 Degrees or so, still not too uncomfortable, Sunny with a nice Breeze
The Coleus and New Zealand Impatiens were looking kind of droopy so out with the Hose again
I watered everything out Front and the Bushes I planted next Door, then the Roses and Rhubarb in my side Beds
A good drink of water for the Coleus and Impatiens and ten Minutes later they perk right up again

When I went back to the Fast Stop to trade Lottos earlier I had a Photo comparison with the Clerk there
He has the new iphone 6 and quite proud of it, me not so enthusiastic, I don't like anything Apple
I told I had read several places that my Galaxy S5 has a higher resolution Display and better Camera
And that the new Galaxy S6 an even better display and Camera and he didn't think so, so we had a test

~ The iphone 6 Photo ~ My Galaxy S5 Photo ~

So, whatcha think? In my 'not so humble opinion' I think the Galaxy Camera is a tad better?

And then what, to wind of the Photos for the Day, out once more to check on the Cucumber and Tomato Race
The Photo at the top was yesterday afternoon and now, Saturday it is farther up in the Tree

Off to see what Saturday might hold for me.. Always something isn't there?
