~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Headed out for Kicks 66 in 5 Degree Weather for my Quest for the Holy Grail
Back in sunny frigid Cold to scratch off exactly NOTHING!
Then 6 Degrees at 9 a.m. Tuesday... BAH HUMBUG! Well, I'll have some of Pat's Birthday Cake

Then another foray into the Wilderness looking for Winners. Several losing trips
Winning just enough little ones to hope to try for more, ended way behind on Tuesday
Oh well, I did win $1 overight on a Show Me Cash drawing, that sure won't pay the rent though

So on into a 'nothing to do' Day, but I had seen the latest Turnip Tops weren't getting much bigger
So I decided to harvest them, rinsed and dried them and into the Freezer for later
There sure weren't enough for even one Serving of Greens this time

So then I kind of dug up the Soil in that empty Planter and planted another Crop
This time those 'Moneta' Beets that supposedly do not need thinning
I planted them well placed to start anyway, the larger seeds are easier to plant those those Turnip Tops

And then I was checking on my Facebook Post, saw Bob Fluchel online and messaged him
He said... 'Coffee Time Wednesday'... So I guess that is an invite to join him at the Coffee House
So I guess that is the first order of Business Today. well I need a kick start anyway

~ And a Good Start for the Week ~

~ My Birthday Cake Gift from Pat ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sunshine for Monday morning but a little Snow and Ice on my Blazer and still Cold
I thought I would run down first to the Coffee Shop and give Lewis a piece of Birthday Cake
I was just ready to leave when he called to ask if I was getting out that Morning
Sure, just on the way out, be there in five Minutes

Lewis was at his usual spot and City Alderman Jim Werner was at his Table too
I sat down to join them and in a short time Dean Jernigan showed up
So some Chat and Jim had to leave on some City Business, we continued our Chat until about 10 a.m.
Then we all left to continue our own Days and I headed to the Price Chopper for my Lottos

And another good start to a winning Day, I had printed off a $1.00 Coupon Gift from the Missouri Lottery
Also I had a $3.00 Show Me Cash Winner and $8 in Scratchers to trade in for more
So I got my Daily Favorites and headed home to scratch off $25.00 in Winners... Plus $3 on a 'Show Me Cash' Ticket

Then back to the Indoor Garden, what's this? The Beets I planted last Thursday were up now
But what's this? They have Red Stems... The first two other Popups are Green, so what are they?

~ The 'Real' Beets are Popping up Now ~

Well, earlier I planted a few Orange Seeds in that Pot, they never popped up
But I planted them near the Center of the Pot, so that one on the Edge is something else
But that little Green one in the Center could just possibly be an Orange Tree!

And on to the Day, time flying when you're having fun... Are we there yet?
So, thinking again of 'What's for Dinner', was planning on Broccoli and Cheese Sauce
And what goes with that? I have some Dressing in the Freezer already, how about a Pork Chop

How many times have I said... "I Love my Parkville Price Chopper?"... Lookee at this!

~ Pork Chops on a Real Sale Price! ~

So many times I have decided on something special and I head to the Price Chopper and that item is On Sale!
They had these lean beautiful boneless Pork Chops for $1.99 a Pound... $3.00 a pound off
Regular Price would be $12.52, I got them for $4.99!

On to the Kitchen, trim the Broccoli and peel the Stems, I simmer and eat them too
Thaw and bake the Dressing, bake all the Pork Chops, save most, serve one, that's the way I go
After my afternoon TV and Manhattan Cocktail, serve up a plate of that 'Heaven!'
And then wander off to Bed after another really nice Day... How long can this last?

~ A Second Birthday Cake and with Company ~

~ Have a Piece of My El Pato Cake? ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And for sure a good way to start my Birthday Celebration... I thought I had $18 worth of Scratchers to trade
But one I thought was $5 was actually a $40 Winner, so I had $58 instead of that lousy $18
So the Gal at Kicks 66 gave me $18 worth of new Lottos, won a 'EZ Match Show Me Cash' for $2 right out of the Machine
Then home to scratch off another $19 for a total Win of $21... Not enough to write home about but $3 Profit
And then this Mornng an Email from the Missouri Lottery with a free $1.00 Lotto Coupon

And then I got a Call from Pat Harris... "Are you ready for some Cake?"... "Why Shore... Come on over"
And she was there in 5 minutes with a gorgeous three tiered Carrot Cake, had to get a Photo
And then some chat, lots of chat watching Videos and Photos and Web Site stuff
Things I had posted on Facebook, my BLOG, my Vimeo Video Channel and Nature Sanctuary stuff
I was using my Laptop hooked up to my TV with an HDMI Cable so we could see the Online stuff LARGE!

And then the Time flew by and she had to leave for a walk in the Nature Sanctuary and I got back to my Cooking
Earlier I had started on some Kale in my Slow Cooker, some real healthy Greens they say
I did it pretty much by my usual Greens Recipe, some Bacon, Onions and Garlic Salt, Pepper and Cider Vinegar
I simmered the Kale about 10 minutes first while I sauteed the Onioms and Bacon in the Skillet
Added the Bacon and Onions and then the Kale to the Slow Cooker, some Garlic Salt, Pepper and Vinegar and away we went...
And that filled the place with a pleasant Aroma for the four hours of simmering in the Slow Cooker

Dinner time? Some Meat Loaf, Baked Potato and a plateful of those Kale Greens
That was a pretty tasty Birthday Dinner, the Greens were good but not exceptional
I guess that Healthy Food doesn't have to be extra tasty, just some good 'down home' cooking

~ Kale Greens in the Hot Pot ~

And then... after all the Birthday Festivities... A piece of Pat's Cake to finish the Day
Now talk about some SUPER Cake!, Carrot Cake with Coconut Icing, far better than the Store Cake I bought
And every bit as good if not better than my annual Christmas Spice Fruitcake which is herd to beat!

~ Pat's Birthday Cake for Me! ~

And who would want a better Birthday than this one? We can try next year I suppose but no hurry
I have had 83 pretty good ones so far... and this was the Best one in many years!

So, 30,315 Days so far living on this Planet, how long can this Fun last?
Well a few more Days anyway so let's get at it
Out again on Saturday Morning to Kicks 66 for my Usuals, back to scratch off only $11 of Winners
Back to the Price Chopper for more and won my Ticket cost back, no profit there
Had a second Cup of Coffee, then a preview of my Birthday Cake, I cheated a little
Well there is a lot of fluffy sweet Cake there so it wil take awhile to finish it

~ Happy 83rd Birthday to Me! ~

Took a peek at my latest indoor Garden Experiment, another seed popped up
Wonder if I will get any Beets out of that Pot, sure not much room in there

~ The First Pop Up on Saturday ~ And a New One Saturday Morning ~

And on to the day wondering 'What's for Dinner?'... Thinking some 'green stuff' would be nice
So back to the Price Chopper and saw that Broccoli was on sale... Got a huge Bunch
And saw that Kale was also on sale, they say that is healthy stuff, never tried it, got a big bag
And mi Amigo Antonio said that 'Taters' were on a super sale, lookee there!
A ten pound sack of really nice large Idaho Whiye Potatoes for $2.99, hard to beat that!
Then back to the Dairy Department for some Velveeta Cheese for the Broccoli

And back home to get Dinner prep started, baked one of those large white Potatoes...
Then made some Cheese Sauce, then Simmered and Blanched the Broccoli and on with the Sauce
And I still had some Dressing I had made, mixed with lots of Duck Meat, nuked that up
That Duck and Dressing with some Gravy is great! And went really well with the Cheezy Broccoli
Such a grand Dinner as a prelude for my Birthday Dinner today!.. What will that be?

Lots of time to figure that out... So... Happy Birthday to Me!

~ New Experiment on Thursday ~ And Friday Morning ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Friday Morning, decided to run by the Coffee House, on the way out noticed a Beet had popped up
I just planted those before Noon on Thursday, that one Plant must be in a hurry
And on downtown, saw no one parked out front at the Coffee House and headed back up the Hill
Stopped in at Kicks 66 to pick up four Lotto Tickets, back to scratch off just two $3 Winners

And then...I saw an Email wih a good Wine Sale on at Gomer's Liquors, better check that out
And the guy there reccommended this one (above) at $4.00 off, I'll set that to chill
And then I needed a Birthday Cake and a Number '3' to go on it, checked in at the Price Chopper for that
And of course I had to trade in my $6 Winners and add $8 to that for four more Lottos
Then I won $25 and that about paid for my loss before and also my Cake, so win some, lose most

Next, have to put that '3' and the '8' I already have, and a Picture of El Pato Donaldo on my Cake
And then get a Photo of me and the Cake for my Facebook Post (of course)
That will be all ready to post on my BLOG for Sunday and I'll sample the Cake then

The rest of Friday was the usual routine, Manhattan Cocktail, TV and later a Burger and Fries
Nothing much plkanned for the day, all set for my Birthday Celebration
Just off to see if I can find that Big Lotto Winner and then what?

And another COLD Morning Thursday, my Blazer Thermo said 8 Degrees when I headed to Kicks 66
Got my Lottos, then the biggest Event of the Day, picked up my Cleaning
Then headed Home to scratch off a measly $8 In Lotto Wins... BAH! HUMBUG!

Oh yeah, I did plant about 20 Beet Seeds in my empty Pot to see what they would do
I ordered them special last year, 'Moneta Beet' and planted them in my Tomato Bed
And NONE came up... Don't know why... Now will try again in that Pot inside

On into a 'nothing going on' Day, Ho Hum, when does Spring Planting start?
This inside Gardening is interesting somewhat but very productive
I tried a 'lip sync' Video with Freddy Febder doing 'Last Teardrop'... wasn't happy with it
I try that again after having my Manhattan sometime, maybe not get so nervous

More TV, had TWO Manhattans during that long afternoon, then hotted up some Pizza
Finished up my Pizza and Vino Tinto ahd headed off to dreamland early again

Is anything happening today? Let's go see

~ That Special Pizza on Wednesday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And so, first thing Wednesday Morning was to burn off a couple of 'Shortleaf Band' CDs
I wanted to give one to Nature Sanctuary Director Bob Fluchel and Committee Member Pat Harris
They were meeting several other Members at Roxanne's Cafe for breakfast
They were going to Visit another Nature Sanctuary in Kansas
I was invited to go along but the Weather was far too Cold for me to venture too far out
So I just trotted over to Roxanne's to deliver the CDs and get my Lottos at the Fast Stop on the way

~ Shortleaf Band CD for Pat and Bob ~

Back then to have a second Cup of Coffee and work my Lottos, then finish the last of my Mince Pie
My Lottos no good at all, but I needed Gas and Apple Juice so I headed out again
I got my Gas at Kicks 665... $1.79 a Gallon, how about them apples?
And I did NOT go inside for any more Lottos, I was defeated for the Day
I did stop back by the Price Chopper on the way back for more Apple Juice

Then I checked my Sweet Basil plant, doesn't look too bare after that First Harvest
That stuff keeps going... something like Swiss Chard, wonder how Chard would do inside?

~ Sweet Basil ready to Harvest ~ After Clipping Leaves for Pizza ~

I had planted some more Radish Seeds in the empty Planter, thought next time I would Try Beets
I took a peek at the Radishes this Morning, popping up already, just planted Monday, January 5th

~ Radish Seeds Planted Monday January 5 ~

And that was about it on anotherwise boring cold Day, just some warmed up Beef Stew for Dinner
Hoo Boy! Just checked the Temp... 5 degrees at 6 a.m.... here we go again on an even COLDER Day!

~ Coffee House Visit on Monday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Not a lot going on Tuesday but some inside stuff, Baby it was COLD out there!
I ran around a couple places trying to get a big winner, just a few scattered little ones
So, what else to do, noticed my Sweet Basil plant had some nice big leaves on it
What to do with some fresh Sweet Basil Leaves? Well now, how about a Classic 'Margherita' Pizza
You have heard of the story of how this Pizza originated, haven't you?

Pizza Margherita is a pizza prepared according to a recipe of the Italian chef Raffaelle Esposito
The pizza was first made in 1899 when Queen Margherita visited Naples to escape a cholera epidemic in the north of Italy
The ingredients used to make a Margherita pizza, tomatos, mozzarella cheese and basil, imitating the colors of the Italian flag
Queen Margherita liked the pizza so much that she wrote a thank you letter to Esposito
And then he decided to name the pizza after the Queen

Well then I decided to harvest some of my Sweet Basil Leaves and make a try at that Recipe
But I needed Pizza Crust, Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese and some Marinara Sauce
So off to the Price Chopper for those extra ingredients
Back then to harvest a plateful of Sweet Basil Leaves, the Plants still looked good after
Then I rinsed the leaves, dried them and then snipped them in half

I didn't want to make the Pizza Dough. that stuff from the Store is pretty good
So I unrolled it, formed it into a circle and baked it for about five minutes
Next I brushed on Extra Virgin Olive Oil, then a good smear of Marinara sauce
Then a good layer of shredded Mozzarella Cheese all over the Sauce

I had some of those little Pear Tomatoes left over so I split them and spread them all over
Next on with the split Sweet Basil Leaves, in and around the Tomatoes
| Finally topped with a good sprinkling of shredded Parmesan cheese to finish it off
Into the Oven at 450 Degrees for about 15 Minutes and then Lookee at that!

~ My try at a Margherita Pizza ~

After it came out of the Oven, looking great, I let it set up for a few minutes
Then poured a Glass of Vinto Tinto and sampled a couple slices, hey that stuff is good!
I can see why Queen Margherita liked that concoction, different... but great Italian taste

And enough left to nuke up and enjoy with a couple more afternoon TV Sessions
Yeah. I'll give me an 'A' Grade for this Cooking experiment!

~ Back to the Coffee House Monday ~
~ Still COLD! ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Snow on Sunday Morning ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Still Cold on Monday Morning, just a few Degrees warmer, was clear up to 20 by 11 a.m.
And I thought I would drop by the Coffee House to catch up on the latest gossip
Lewis was there by himself when I went in, soon joined by Dean Jernigan
Then later two more Nature Sanctuary people came in to Chat, Mark and Anna
They left after some time, and then Jim and Diane Reed came in to join us

Next Lewis and Dean left and Jim, Diane and I had still more Chat, didn't finish until after 11

And then I headed to the Price Chopper to trade in my $56 of Wins for more Tickets
Back Home to scratch off a nice modest $12 Win and back to the Fast Stop to trade
And then with $14 more new Tickets, I scratched off nothing all over again, luck ran out
But I still had $48 of Sunday's Winnings in my Pocket

So what else on another inside cold Day? Did some Indoor Garden Harvesting
The Seven Top Turnips weren't getting much bigger so I snipped off the Leaves
Then I rinsed them and set them aside to saute later

~ Turnip Leaves to Harvest ~ And Harvested ~

Then with the Leaves snipped off I pulled all the roots and tossed them
Next I planted some more Radish Seeds in that Planter, try for another handful of Radishes

So what's for Dinner? I snipped some Bacon into the Skillet, added Onions to soften some
Then in with the Turnip Greens to Saute slowly, added Salt, Pepper and a little Cider Vinegar
And I had some Meatloaf in the Freezer, thawed out a slice, made some Mashed Potatoes
So then Dinner, Meatloaf and Taters with Chicken Gravy and Turnip Greens on the side
Some 'Down Home' cooking, an ample Dinner but nothing to write home about
Now lets go see what today is all about...

~ Sampled my Apple Rhubarb Pie ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sunday Morning, COLD and about a half inch of Snow, that was supposed to be here Saturday
Well, Tom salted the Sidewalks and Street so maybe I could get up the Hill for my Lottos
Posted my Sunday BLOG, had my Coffee, worked my online Crosswords
Then I sampled my latest Rhubarb Apple Pie, and that's all the Home Grown Rhubarb until Spring
And it was OK, good and sweet but not as Tart as I like Rhubarb to be, can't win every time

Then out in that 10 Degree Cold to sweep the Snow off the Windshield and warm up the Blazer
Then up the icy hill, but Salt underneath, didn't have to hit the 4WD
On to Kicks 66, picked up my favorite Lottos and back home to scratch off NUTHIN!
Well I was still ahead from Saturday's Wins, like they say, can't win'em all

So, nothing to do, and bored already at 10 a.m. So... Back to the Fast Stop
Got four of the same Tickets, then won on three of them, but not much
Just got back the Money I paid for them... $11 spent, $11 Won

So then I had enough for my three Favorite Tickets so back to Kicks 66 to try again on those
And this time I hit it nicely again, a $6 'Times Crossword' and a $50 'Doubler Crossword'

~ Hey Hey! ~ Won One Like this on Saturday Too! ~

So that made it $132 of Wins on Saturday and $67 of Wins on Sunday, made the Weekend a real Winner
Still have that $56 to shop with today, Monday, but first I'll see if Lewis is down at the Coffee Shop
And then where to get my Lottos today? Somewhere I didn't win a $50 Doubler Crossword
So that means the Machine at the Price Chopper or at the Fast Stop again

~ Off to another Winning Day! ~ Ever Onward and Upward ~

~ Makings for another Rhubarb Pie (with Apple) ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Saturday Morning, dark and dreary outside but 37 Degrees... Not bad
Tom, the Maintenance Man was out Friday spreading Salt, some Snow and Rain in the Forecast
But no Snow, no Rain and the temp was up to 40 Degrees by Noon
And so out on the Quest for the Big One again, hit Kicks 66 first for $14 worth
Nice Try, back home to scratch off a $6 and $20 Win, ahead again
So then back to the Price Chopper to trade, need crust for my Rhubarb Pie too
Picked out $16 worth of Scratchers, put them in my pocket and headed for my Crust
When I checked out the guy at the Service Counter waved me over
He had charged me too much for my Tickets and gave me the $3 back

Went on out to my Blazer, then noticed I was missing my $5 ticket he sold me
I went back to try to find it, he had it in his hand waving it at me!
I had dropped it in the Produce Department, a Customer found it and turned it in
So as I left I said... 'This is a $50 winner and if it is I'll split with you'
And then home to scratch off another $20 Winner and that lost Ticket WAS a $50 Winner!

So I went back to cash in my $70 of Wins, found the Clerk eating Lunch in the Deli Department
And I offered him a $20 Bill but he wouldn't take it, so I bought him a $5 Ticket like my Winner

And next to the Fast Stop to get another $14 of Tickets, back home to scratch off a $3 and $10 Winner
So that added up to a Total Win for the Day of $109... Great! not all profit but a nice one anyway

So then I finished preparing and then baking my Apple Rhubarb Pie... Looking Good!
Then later I wanted to get a few items for a Salad, back to the Price Chopper for that
Some dandy little Pear Tomatoes on sale, a Green Pepper, and lookee there, Oranges at a giveaway price!

~ All these Sweeties for 99 Cents! ~ I Love my Price Chopper! ~

And of course I traded some Winners for more Lottos, won some more, total then up to $132
Ended the day with another $5 Ticket to trade for more Sunday Morning
Didn't keep track of what all those winnings cost me to buy
But I ended up with a lot more money in my Pocket than I started with Saturday Morning with

And I ended that busy day with a nice Dinner and all those Movies, Oh yeah!
Now a much colder Morning, back in the teens, I don't like that...
And no plans for what to do on another long and Cold Sunday... But... On with the Day!

Friday Morning... Nice! Heat wave again, clear up to Freezing at 32 Degrees, that's more like it
But only going to a high of 37?... I like it at least in the 40s, I can handle that OK

And out for Scratchers again, up to the Price Chopper for Bourbon, Wine and Milk
And of course... $14 worth of Tickets to try.. and Won $26, not a bad start
So next to the Fast Stop to trade that in for $16 worth of new ones
Pocketed the $10 Profit, back home to scratch off another $12
So I lost $4, I can handle that, Well I needed some Balogna, Cheese and Buns so back to the Price Chopper
Got my Goodies and traded for $14 More Lottos... And then won $12 back

So then what... Back to the Fast Stop to trade for $12 more Lottos and then won only $10
Quit there? I shudda quit when I won the $26... Back to Kicks for another $11 worth...
And this time I only won a $3, I think all my profit was gone for the day

And then I got a call from Pat, she was Home and ready for some Photo managing assistance
So up the Hill and around the Corner ad I was there, on to the Program for the Day
First I made a new 'Camera' Folder in 'My Pictures'... then copied everything out of her Camera to that Folder
Then Copied ALL of the Photo Folders in 'My Pictyres' onto a Flash Drive...
Then deleted the files on the SD Card from the Camera
Then on to her own project, make Folders for the Pics in the 'Camera' file and move then to the new Folders

Now, all the Photos are out of the Camera and the Camera SD Card all clean
And a backup of all her Photos are on the Flash Drive in case any get lost

That was about it for Friday, now Saturday Morning, dreary looking but not real Cold
Went out for Lottos, won some pretty good ones, then started on another Rhubarb Pie
And on to a Baking Saturday afternoon...

~ Into the Happy New Year! ~
~ And Another Computer Assist? ~ ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Another Cold Morning on Thursday, New Years Day, a tad warmer at 19 Degrees
And a real early start, woke up about 3:30 a.m. Thinking about Pay Day
So I got up, got my Apple Juice and Coffee and checked my Bank, HAH! Both Checks made it early

And then off to the Price Chopper to trade in what I thought was a $3 Win... but it was a $10
So that made a very slight good start for winning in 2015, not good enough though

And... on Wednesday I got a free CD in the Mail, from Mike Fraser of the Shortleaf Band
They have played for 'Ghost Story Night' in Parkville Nature Sanctuary several times
And are in my Video of the 'Steamboat Arabia' Event on the Missouri River
I was checking on their Web Site how to order their CD but couldn't find the order page
So I sent Mike an Email and he said he would send me a complimentary copy
Then after I got it I ripped it to my Computer, then added one song to my Home Page
And I added a sample to this page for anyone that would like to hear them
And then, I posted their Album Photo to the Parkville Nature Sanctuary Facebook Page

That was about all the activitiy for New Years Day except for taking down my Christmas Wreath
And I unplugged the Lights on my 'Trellis in the Pot Christmas Tree'
Later I tried baking some Bread, I let the Machine Mix and Knead it, then baked it in a pan
And it didn't raise enough, the texture is dense but the taste is OK

So what for the second day of the Year? Well, maybe head up to Pat's place
To do a couple little adjustments and maybe add a Program or two. Away we go!

And what to do on a cold day before New Years Eve? No plans at 6 a.m anyway
Check the Bank, Pay not there yet, write my BLOG, Drink my Coffee
Work a couple online Crossword Puzzles... then what? ... Oh yeah, go get Lottos

And so, I headed out to Kicks 66, had some Smoked Brisket to give to Lucinda, the Manager
She just pulled in as I got there, gave her the Brisket, she put it in her Car
It was frozen so it was Cold enough to stay that way until she headed for home
And then I traded in what I thought was $15 in Wins, but it was really $21
So I bought $21 worth of tickets and then won back $19, that's another trip to get more

And then I got a call from my Primary Doctor's office, they had my Radiation report
And it wasn't all the good news that the Radiologist had given me, a bit more of a problem
But it doesn't seem all that serious to me but they want to take another peek in there

Time then for some more of that Mincemeat Pie, pretty good stuff there, Maynard
And back out in the Cold to head down to the Fast Stop for $19 more Lottos
Then back home to scratch some more and this time won $24... That's $3 Profit for the day
But all that scratchin fun! Let's go get some more... back to the Price Choppper

Ok... shudda stayed at home with my $24 of Winners, but I bought $24 more Tickets
More fun scratchin, I got lots of Tickets... but, only won $9 this time
And so, I gave up Gambling for the rest of the Year

~ Good News from the Radiologist ~

And starting off Tuesday with even colder Weather, headed out at 12 Degrees, Brrrrrrrrr
Needed some Apple Juice so I stopped in at the Price Chopper first
Picked that up and headed for the Lotto Machine, got my daily Dose
Then back to have another cuppa Coffee and work off $16 in Winners
Well with that I can go get some more and win some more? HAH! Well Payday is coming

Ok this time I decided to hit the Fast Stop again, I lose track of where I get the good ones
So I got my favorite three Cards and a couple more, cashed in that $16 Win
And then won $15, enough to pay for today's attempt at great Fortune

The rest of the day was pretty quiet again, way too Cold for any fun outside
So I did a little more thinning in my 'Turnip Patch' planter
And then a long afternoon of a lot of TV and with TWO Manhattans!
Then I just put a steak out to thaw, later baked a Potato and made a nice Salad
And finished up the Day and headed for Dreamland... And I DID dream, oh yeah!

So tonight? Party Time?... No, just the 'Same old'... But I'll have a Happy New Year anyway
