~ A Nice Lotto Winner Day ~
~ And A Gorgeous Winter Weather Day! ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Another 'Let Down' feeling day after all that busy Cooking day on Thursday
But just a wonderful weather day out side, sunny and 70 degrees, sure can't beat that
But back to the Normal Temps today, back down to the 40s again

And after writing that BLOG Saga about the Van Movies, nothing to do all day
Well, go searching for that Lotto Pot of Gold again and I hunted all day
I bought 6 or so of my favorite 'Doubler Crossword' tickets and won on 4 of them
Most were $5 wins but one was a nice $50 Winner, best one in November I think

I got my Tickets at Kicks, the Price Chopper and the Fast Stop, won at least one at every Stop
I didn't keep exact count spent but I won a Total of $78, and that was a profit of about $40
But I don't really play for the Money, if any, just the thrill of the chase that 'MIGHT BE" some day

And by the bye... I got a card from Dell offering a $15 off discount for a 'Blue Tooth Speaker'
The price was $69.99, and I got online to check it out, online it was on sale for $39.99
And that is better than with the discount so I ordered it, be handy for my Cell Phone, Tablet and Laptop
Sometimes you need a little more Audio when playing back Videos or Music

Ans that was really about the action for the Day, just warm-ups for Dinner
The usual TV afternoon and Netflix Movies evening... and so what might be in store for today?

Let's go see... CHARGE!

~ Early Pay Day Again ~ Yahoo! ~
~ And A Boring Day After the Day ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

So nothing at all planned for Friday and what a let down after all that busy Cooking
Thought I would run down first thing and get caught up with the Chat with Lewis
He was at his usual spot and no one else there and no one else came in to join us
That's not so bad, I can get a few words in to the discussion without all the extra people there
And we did find a lot of things to talk about and lots of my Photos and Web Pages to look at
I took my Good Sized Laptop with me this trip and could see things bigger and better

After we adjourbned about 10 a.m. I headed up the Hill to Kicks 66 for my daily LOSER Lottos
And not a single Winner, like the past 12 or so Loser Lottos... BAH! Humbug, well it's Pay Day today

So, checking my Email, a nice note from 'Todd Hendrix' who wants to make a 'Van Movie' and to use my Photos
"Hello! I'm currently working on a film about the history of mini Truckin
And we were needing some photos of custom vans on your website
And we were wondering if it was ok to use some of them in the film?
We will add you to the credits for letting us use them. And help would be greatly appreciated!!"

So I said OK, take any and all... And added his Page Link in case you need a Cooler for your next Keg Party
I haven't heard back from the last one that wanted Van Photos for a Movie
I should check on that, see if it ever came out after all the Pre-Production Hoo Haw they made about it

And... Guess what? I started checking around on my Pages and found the Name of that Production Company
It's 'Little Cabin Films' and I did some checking online and found the Film they made
They named it 'Vannin' and it is available on Vimeo, which I checked and found it for Rental at $4 or Buy for $10
So I downloaded it which was unecessary as I could watch it on my 'Smart TV' in Vimeo's 'Watch Later' app

Anyway I mixed me a Manhattan and went to watch on my TV.... and so disappointed in it...
And... They didn't use any of my Photos after all
The Van Movie 'Supervan' that I was in was a better show of what the 'Van Movement' was, even if a 'D' rated Movie
This one was mainly what the 'Van Scene' is today, a bunch of old fat diehards trying to relive their Party Days
Man I wish I had my Video Camera back then, what a Movie I could have made, the REAL Van Scene

So that was a Clip from the Old Movie made in Saint Joseph in 1976 when I was President of the Pony Express Van Club
A lot of that Movie was filmed at the actual 'Freak Out' Truck-In held in Saint Joseph, Missouri that year
Not such a great Movie but more accurate of the Van Scene then than this new Movie
At that time I was also Treasurer of the Heart of America Van Council, they are still active
And there are more and Better Truck-ins than in this new Movie still going that they still Sanction

~ The Fat Old Diehards in the 'Now' Van Scene Movie ~

I have been tempted to check out the present H.O.A.V.C. Truck-ins but my Blazer doesn't qualify as a Van

Here is their Web Site now~ Heart of America Van Council ~

~ A Welcome Early Pay Day Tomorrow ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Another slow start to Thursday, just poking around online, posting my BLOG
Working my online Crossword Puzzles, this and that and the other
First thing in the Kitchen, get all the Dishes, Pots and Pans into the Dishwsher
Make room for prepping that Turkey for the Oven, out of the Brine and Rinsing
Then spread it out on the Rack and brushing good with melted Butter, sprinkle with Poultry Seasoning
Turkey in the Oven at 11 a.m. on Turkey Day, all finished cooking for the Day then except roast the Dressing

Off then to the Fast Stop for my Lottos, back by the Price Chopper for some Turkey Gravy
Then back Home to be inundated with Roasted Turkey and Sage Aromas wafting on the air

Noon-30 time, decided to do some Candied Sweet Potatoes, back the Price Chopper
This time Sweet Potatoes at 48 Cents a Pound.. Nice... And a Can of Orange Juice
Back home to thaw the Juice, Boil the Sweet Potatoes and make the Syrup
Then Cool and Peel the Potatoes, slice and into the Casserole Dish with the Syrup to bake awhile

And at 1 p.m. Time to flip the Bird, I roast the Turkey Breast Down the first two Hours
Then flip Breast Side up to brown the Breast nicely, works better than Breast up the whole time

~ Candied Sweet Potatoes ~ Sage Dressing ~

And then at 3 p.m. Time to take the Turkey out of the Over to cook for Carving
Then it was time to start on the Dressing, or rather Bake up the Dressing I made the Day before
I had removed it from the Fridge to warm up some, then when the Turkey was out of the Oven
In with the Sweet Potatoes and Dressing to finish up the Cooking for the Day

Next after the Turkey cooled enough for handling the Carving and Storing progressed
I cut off the Legs, the Wings and into Baggies, tried the thighs and they fell apart, so tender
Then the Breast in two huge pieces, and the Back broken up for the Pot to make more Broth

And no real Turkey Dinner, I had been 'grazing' all day with goodies from the Fridge
Sampling most everything I had been Cooking or had cooked already
I got everything put away in the Fridge and Freezer and adjourned to the TV for the Finale of Turkey Day

So now what's next? Well, Santa Trek December 6th, then Christmas and then all finished for the Year
Then New Years Day and we can start all over again

A slow start on Wednesday just piddling around online and scheduling Bill Pay
That time of the Month this Weekend, new Money hitting the Bank and early this Month
I got a knock on the Door about 10 a.m. Apartment Manager and Maintenance Man noticed my Night Light still on
So the Boss had Called, no answer here and Tom came by to check that I was OK, they take care of me here alright
Then I checked my Phone, Phone dead, forgot to charge the Battery after it had warned me

Then I checked my missed Calls, and one was from Lewis, "Come on down to the Coffee Shop"
Bob Fluchel and Lewis were there, wanted me to join the chat, way too late by then

And then off to the Price Chopper for my Lottos, Zilch for the Morning...
Got back to see that I was low on Milk and out of Vino Tinto, so back to the Chopper again
Picked up a Gallon of Vino Tinto, a Gallon of Milk and three more Lottos for the day
Just as I got back to the Apartment Complex I saw my Neighbor trudging up the Hill
So I stopped, he got in, I turned around and headed back to the Price Chopper
He works there, and it was too Cold and Windy to let him walk that Mile there

So then back home again, I worked my new Lottos, HAH, Better! A $10, $6 and $2
And then I started on my Turkey Fixins... The turkey was thawed enough to dig out the Giblets
So I put the Neck, Gizzard and Heart in a Pot and started on the Broth for Dressing
And put out some of my Home Baked Bread to thaw and then Cubed and into the Oven to Toast up
Next chopped up some Celery, and Onions, then in a Pot with Butter and Poultry Seasoning to Saute
Finally, mixed the Bread Cubes into the Celery, Onions and Butter and in with the Broth
Then into a Casserole Dish, covered with Foil and in the Fridge to bake later today

Then the Turkey, into my Cooler, in with the Brine of Kosher Salt and Water
And into the Fridge for an overnight Brining

Then I finished off the Day, gnawing on another Roasted Turkey Leg, some Cole Slaw on the Side
A Pleasant, Productive Pre-T-Day... Now Today the Main Event, that Turkey in the Oven
But not the Finale... More T-Days to come, finishing off that 12 Pounds of Roasted Turkey!

I start Early and make the Holidays last!

~ My Turkey for T-Day 2014 ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The Turkey unwrapped and into the Fridge to Thaw for T-day Thursday
That will be a close call, usually takes three days to thaw out, maybe enough today to Brine though
That Kosher Salt bath might make it thaw faster, wouldn't you think?

And what for Wednesday after all the running around? Well, Sanctuary Meeting at Pat's house
But I wasn't feeling so great on Tuesday afternoon, didn't know if I would go or not
And it is just up the Hill in front, around the Corner and a half Block from there
Sometimes I just drive up the Hill here, park in front of the Complex Office and walk from there
That saves a parking space for someone else in her driveway and yard there

So after I stuffed the Turkey into the Fridge I just setted back with a Manhattan to catch up on the Ferguson news
Such a sad situation and really without a good cause and not much hope for settlement
But then I don't talk Sex, Religion or Politics on my Pages and might as well include Race problems with that

Just some snacks all afternoon with my Manhattan, and then I chewed up another Turkey Leg
And this one was better than the First, that Brining and Roasting with Dry BBQ Rub did the trick

Now what today? Be nice to have a Winning Lotto Day like Tuesday, what was that? A Total $48 Win after all
This year I am NOT going to cook up a bunch of Side Dishes for that Turkey, no room to store more stuff
I'll just do a side dish as I go along with just a good hunk of Turkey to go with it
Like Tuesday, had some Broccoil and Cheese Sauce to go with my Turkey leg, quite adequate

And I'll just do something like that again this afternoon, then try to get that Turkey into the Brine
And back in the Fridge to be ready to Roast all up on T-Day 2014!

~ Dean and Lewis Settling World Affairs ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Back to the Coffee house on another Cold Morning, back in the 20s again
Lewis was at his regular Table, I joined him for some Chat for about an hour
I was ready to leave but then Dean Jernigan came in to liven up the Party
So that lasted another hour or so before we all adjourned to other Business

I headed then to Kicks 66 for my Daily Lottos, then back Home for a late Breakfast
Then scratched off what I thought was a lonely $5 Win, thought I would go back for more
Well the Lady at the Service Counter said it was a $20 Win and handed me a Twenty
That was my Favorite Ticket, a Doubler Crossword, I bought two more of them
And I spent some my Ill-gotten gains on Goodies, Cookies, Candy and Mixed Nuts
Then back home to scratch off a $10 and $15 Win.. Hah! $45 Total, nice profit

I thought that would wind up the shopping for the Day but I was Chatting with Sigi on Messenger
He said he was having Broccoli, I thought that would go good with my next Turkey Leg
Headed back to the Price Chopper for a nice big triple head of Broccoli
And I ate one of my Turkey legs Sunday, another one Monday, that left one for Tuesday and then no Turkey
So I headed back to the Meat Counter, maybe pick up a Turkey Thigh for T-Day?
They had Turkey Legs, Breast, and big meaty Wings but no thighs
And a pack of two Wings was priced at $2.35 a pound! You could get a whole Turkey for the price of one Pack
Went back and checked the Turkey Bin, nice 11 1/2 Pounder for $8.97, who cold turn that down?

So I gave up my idea not to buy one this Year, that's just too much Turkey for a too good a Price
So I'll just thaw it out, Roast it up Good and store it in that Stuffed Freezer again
And then I'll have Turkey to eat for another couple Months, it's always the same old Story
But... T-Day comes but once a Year... Or does it?

~ My Flower Pot Christmas Tree for 2014 ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

So what project could I dream up for Sunday besides roast my Turkey Legs?
Running out of things to do except sweep more Leaves and little Pearlets off the Veranda
Those Bradford Pear Trees grow tiny little Pears and this year they are making a real mess
Usually they are dry and hard but this year seem to be gooey and messy and stick to my Shoes
The Birds eat them most all winter long, I wish they would get at it, maybe don't like gooey Pearlets?

And off we went first to the Price Chopper for Some necessities besides Lottos
I picked out my Lottos first then loaded up my Cart with what I needed, a pretty good load at that
And back Home to work my Dud Lottos again, where is that BIG one Hiding?

Unloaded my Stuff, put it away, started on a couple Loads of Laundry
Got bored with that quick, thought I would go back and try a couple more Lottos
Should have saved that $10, no go again, Oh well

Then a look at my Indoor Radish Crops, not that you could call them 'Crops'
Just a fun indoor experiment to see what would happen and not much did
Planted the first ones on October 16th, and the light was too far away and they got spindly
By this time if they were planted outside you would be picking Radishes, a no go for inside

~ First Radish Planting ~ October 16 ~

So I tried again with a larger Shop Light and closer to the Seedlings and it has worked better
But after two weeks they are doing better than the first try did but still won't make any Crop

~ Second Radish Planting ~ November 9 ~

And then it was off to the Kitchen for my T-Day Dinner, or first of several
I rinsed the Brine off the Turkey Legs, brushed them with Melted Butter, dusted with my BBQ Rub
Then into the Oven for an hour and a half to roast up very nicely
Then my first T-Day Dinner, just a Turkey leg and some Cornbread and Cranberry Sauce
And that was quite adequate for a starter, two more to go and for sure no leftovers this year

~ Roasted Turkey Legs Come and Get It ~

What next? Well a Pumpkin Pie when I get in the mood, won't be T-Day until Thursday this week

~ Another Drab, Rainy Saturday Morning ~ But a Lot Warmer! ~
~ Constructing a 'Christmas Tree Today? ~
~ My First Day of Thanksgiving ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Looked miserable out front Saturday Morning but felt like Spring when I went out
Still all dreary and wet but the Temp was a pleasant 56 Degrees! Gimmee more of that
So off to Kicks 66 first for $13 worth of Lottos, I had $8 worth to trade in
Then next door to the Price Chopper to check for Turkey Legs, they had some but high priced
Well I waste a lot buying a whole Turkey so maybe these three Legs will do for the Holiday

~ Thanksgiving Dinner on the Way! ~

Then back home to scratch off $12 worth of Winners, and still had a 'Show Me Cash' for the Drawing
And I forgot to get my Sweet Vermouth so back to the Price Chopper again
This time I got my Vermouth and another $11 worth of Scratchers, this time only a $6 Winner
So, no big Winners but no big loss either for the Day

Then what? Time to construct my Christmas Tree, everyone says too early but I make the Holidays last
So I untangled the Lights, measured to see how many strings the trellis could hold for that length
Then out in the Dark and Damp to start hanging the Lights on the Trellis in the Pot

So I had that done before Cocktail Time. time to get started on T-Day Dinner
This is going to be an easy one, A couple of roasted Turkey Legs, some Cranberry Sauce
And I need to bake a Pumpkin Pie soon, but first on Saturday afternoon, rinse the Turkey legs
Then into the Brine to soak overnight in the Fridge, then I'll roast them today

Well that was easy enough, 1/2 Cup of Kosher Salt in 1/2 Gallon of Water
And the three Turkey Legs just fit in my one Gallon Pitcher and then in to the Fridge

~ Some Cornbread to go with my Ham and Bean Soup ~

Then, what's for Dinner? I had some Ham and Bean Soup thawed out in the Fridge, need some Corn Bread
Easy enough again, mixed up a batch and into the Oven, then a Bowl of Delish Ham and Bean Soup
That Soup made from the Easter Ham this Year and still as tasty as ever, good old down home food

On to Sunday. still warm, maybe some Rain later? On to the new dark and wet day

~ Ever Onward and Upward ~

~ My Flower Pot Christmas Tree in 2012 ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

So what on Friday? Again not much, I had moved that big Pot over to my side of the Veranda Thursday
I wanted to string some Lights on the Trellis again to make a 'Christmas Tree'
But it was too cold for me Thursday Morning to try that, and then it began to rain
But this Morning it is much warmer, still drippy wet though, but I'll try for that today

I got a late start Friday Morning, headed up to the Price Chopper for a couple things
Got my stuff and my Lottos, decided to run back by the Coffee House to show a couple of Photos
But it was about 10 a.m. and no one there, the Meeting had been adjourned
Then back to el Ranchito to work some minor Lotto winnings again

So on to another inside and nothing much to do afternoon, decided to head back to the Price Chopper
Traded in a couple Dinky Lottos for a couple more Dinky winner Lottos
I did buy my annual packs of fresh Cranberries for Sauce and hunted for Turkey Legs
All kinds and Prices of Turkeys and all kinds of Turkey Parts but no Legs
I am thinking to skip Roasting the whole big Bird this year and just do a couple Legs
I have been just winding up with way too many leftovers in a stuffed Freezer

So that was it for the day after simmering up my Cranberry Sauce, two packs of that will last awhile
On to the Weekend, I'll try constructing that 'Christmas Tree' today

~ Ever Onward and Upward ~

~ Look Mom... It Works! ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Thursday again started out cold but did warm up a bit later, and some more Sun
After my Morning Routine I headed back down to the Coffee Shop to see what was what
Mainly to show Lewis my new Garden Cart and maybe some other Photos on my Phone
And he was not at his usual Table, some others got ethere first

And no one else showed up so we had all the Chat to ourselves, usually the others keep talking
So we settled most of the World Problems and then about 10:30 I headed up the Hill for my Lottos
And not much success there, only a $6 Bingo and a $2 Show Me Cash

So it warmed up a little but was still pretty brisk when I went out to try my new Cart
I wanted to move the Huge Pot from the far end of the Porch to the other end in front of my Place
I had moved it over there last Spring to catch more Sun while I grew My Tomato plant in it
Now at my end I want to wind Lights around the Trellis and make a Christmas Tree out of it

So I lowered the Side Arms on the Cart, fastened the strap around the Pot and away We went
And that Pot is very Heavy! I have to kind of shove and drag to to move it
But fastened to the Arms of the Cart it was a breeze to lift and roll it along

Then I got a Visit from one of the Nature Sanctuary Volunteers, Bruce Duffin
I had given him my old Cell Phone, he wanted to check out a few things on it with me
So we did that and then watched some of the Videos I had made and uploaded to Vimeo
That is so easy to do on my 'Smart TV', I also hooked my Laptop tothe TV with an HDMI Cable
And went through some of my Web Pages and also some other things you can do with that Hook-up

So that lasted until late Afternoon, he left, I mixed my Manhattan
Then went on to wind up another rather nice Cold Day... On to this one now ...

~ What's in the Big Box ~My New Garden Toy of Course ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well, I lost the 'First Heat' of that 'Race to Riches', all Duds from Kicks 66
Tempted to run back for more but locked in to wait for my FedX Delivery, and I hate that wait
They usually show up in the Middle of the Day but sometmes late afternoon
So in the meantime I just have to feel like a Prisoner until they get here

I was waiting for my new AeroCart that I ordered a couple weeks ago
I saw their Commercial on TV and had to check it out, looked like something I can use
Not all that often but handy when I need it for this and that in the Garden
First thing I need to do is move a couple of heavy Pots out front
Then not much until Spring when I will haul Garden Soil up the Hill to the Beds
I guess I could use it as a Snow Plow, they have an attachment for that
But I would want to work Tom, the Maintenance Man out of a job cleaning my Parking Area

I don't like to put any ADs on my Pages but take a look at all that this thing can do
~ Click Here to See What that 'Aerocart' Can Do ~

So the FedX Man showed up about 3:30 p.m. I opened the Box and started assembly
This one pretty easy, no Tools needed, things just kind of snap together
After that, I just finished out the Day wth TV and Snacks and off to Bed

So now this Morning, I'll run down to the Coffee House to show Lewis my new Toy
Then after my Lotto Runaround I'll try it out moving my Biggest Pot out front

Off to the Races Again!

~ Have Some of that Fruitcake ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sunny and Colder again, this Global Warming is getting to me, turn up the Heat a bit
Well now, let's see, what on Tuesday? Had a hunk of my Spice Fruitcake for Breakfast
Yeah, that will do, about as good a one that I have Baked so far, didn't notice anything different
Recipe calls for a pack of Instant Lemon Pudding I didn't have, but I couldn't see it needed it

And then off in that CHILL to Kicks 66 again, searching for the Rainbow or Pot of Gold at the end
And no Rainbow and no Pot of Gold, just a measely $6 win, where's that Big One

And then a Phone Call, KC Skin and Cancer, results of the last Biopsy, like I had thought
I had two attemps to freeze that one off, no go on that, then a Biopsy, they said maybe and then a second Biopsy
And as I expected, the lady said the Lab Result was Squamous Cell Carcinoma, needs 'Mohs' Surgery
And so they would call me later to set up an appointment, oh well, win some, lose most

On to the COLD Day Tuesday, the Weatherman said we had a record low on Monday Night of 7 Degrees
But it was in the teens when I headed out for my Lottos but still really Chilly with that WInd!

And then nothing much more for the rest of the Day, as usual lately, Ho Hummm
What for today? Looks like more of the same except my new 'Aerocart' comes today
Kind of a multi-function little Wheelbarrow which I need now and then in the Garden
I saw a Commercial of that thing on TV and it looks like something I can really use
For now I just need to move some big heavy Pots around, then not much until Spring
Then I plan to haul some more Potting Soil up the Hill to my Garden Beds, will be fine for that
Boss Bob has a two wheel Dolly I can use, also a big clunky Wheelbarrow over in the Work Shop
But they aren't easy to use and I have to ask for the Key to get to them, be nice to have this thing handy

Anyway, now off to Facebook, then my morning Routine and off to the daily Races to Riches!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And that's just what I did Monday afternoon, Baked my Cake and mixed up my Bean Dip
I had everything I needed in the cupboard for my Cake except instant Vanilla Pudding and not sure I needed that
I'll give that Cake a Taste Test this Morning to see how it turned out, looks good as always

And the Bean Dip passed the Taste Test, quite Picante, I used some of my Home Made Salsa
Chopped up about half an Onion, sauted that in some Bacon Fat, added my Salsa and the Frijoles
Mixed that all together and hotted it up, then off to the Movies with Tortilla Chips

And I finished the last Episode of the third Season of 'Alfred Hichcock Presents'
I am using up all the old TV series I can find on Netflix that I like, so many there I don't care for
I watched all the Episodes they had of Colombo, Bates Motel, Alfred Hitchcock and what else?
Oh yeah, all five Seasons of 'Breaking Bad' and that was getting tedious and they did NOT live happily ever after
Oh well, a new Season of Bates Motel starts in March, who are they going to kill next?

And now, off into another Cold Day to search for Riches... I did pretty good on Monday

And 20 Degrees again on Monday Morning and no more Snow, still some here and there
Sure not much going on Sunday in that bitter cold weather out there
Except for hanging my Wreath and then later hanging the Christmas Bells on the Deck
Anyway, Bright and Sunny even if Windy and Cold out there

~ We Got Our Snow but not Much ~
~ Event of the Day... Hung My Christmas Wreath ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Back down to 20 Degrees on Sunday Morning and what Granddad called a 'skift' of Snow, maybe 1/2 Inch
The Weatherman was saying maybe a total of two Inches, that wouldn't be so bad but 1/2 inch is better

~ Weather Man was Wrong and I am Happy with That ~

Not much going on Saturday but there usually isn't much anyway, but less since Gardening is gone
Well some inside experimental Gardening... the new Planting of Radishes and Basil is popping up
Not thinking of a Crop, just something interesting to watch and see what happens

A couple trips out and around on Saturday and then it was an inside Afternoon
I did brave the Cold, charged my Drill, went out to drill a hole for a Screw to hold my Wreath
Then hung the wreath and plugged it in, a little early for Christmas but looks nice out there

So, what for today? Well go out and hang my Christmas Bells... That's easy, already a hook under the Deck
And what else, go get some Winner Lottos for a change, been a dry well the last month or so
Oh yeah, got an email saying my new Garden Cart is on the way, not much use for that until Spring
Except it is also a 'Dolly' and I need to move a couple of big pots around
So another really EXCITING Day ahead it looks like... Off to the Races!

~ And a Tad Warmer Saturday Morning at 26 Degrees ~
~ A Visit to the Dermatologist and later with Odelon ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Off in the cold at 8:30 a.m. to Kansas City Skin and Cancer Center again
Arrived ten minutes early and waited 15 Minutes to get called in to the little room
Then it was a very quick process, a snip and snip to remove the Biopsy stitches and all finished
Well, I hope all finished, they didn't have the Lab results back yet so Surgery is still pending
But with my usual luck with Biopsies they will call to schedule another appointment

So then back by Kicks 66 for my Lottos, no big ones again, still in that rut for lack of winners
Next a catch-up doing some lengthy catch-up Texts to a friend on my Phone
I wasn't very happy with Texting at all at first, then I found I could Voice Text with no pecking at all
That Voice Search and Voice Text is sure one of the best features of that 'funny fone'
Now I even added Voice Search to my Windows 8 Laptop, don't really need it on my Desktops

So then, I headed out again to trade in a couple small Lotto Winners at the Price Chopper
Also picked up a few Grocery Items on the way and headed on back to scratch off just $10

And Odelon, sometimes aditional Maintence Man was outside all morning cleaning up
And he did a great job, raking pebbles back into the yards and cleaning out leaves and weeds
He knocked on my Door about noon, wanting to nuke up his Lunch in my Microwave
So then I had a catch-up Spanish Lesson as I showed him things on my TV from my Laptop
Then he was finished for the Day here and headed for Home... On into the afternoon for me

Just the regular routine from then on, afternoons are getting boring again
Now Saturday Morning, warmer some but they are saying some Snow from Mid-Morning to Afternoon
Just what we need to mess everything up, Oh Well, it's Winter again

~ Back to the Dermatologist ~
~ And it's Still Cold! ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, let's see, what was going on on Thursday? Sure not much other than the cold
Headed to the Price Chopper for a few Items and my Lottos, didn't win much
Later went back to trade a dinky winner for more dinky winners, where's the Big One?

On the way back home on one trip I checked my Snail Mail, my Ebates Check was there
Not a big one but every little bit does help the Lotto fund
When I buy something online I try to remember to go to the Rebates Page first
After that if I go to a Dealer listed there, (and most are) and buy something at that Site
Then I get an email from Ebates telling me I have another Rebate added to my Account
Then several times a year they send me a Check... and I just got this one
So far I have received a total of $234.34 Cash Back, not a fortune but a nice sum at that

~ What You Get if you Use Ebates ~

And so, Friday already and half way through November, time does fly when you are having fun
I must be having fun as the time this year has sure been flying away
And so soon again I am heading back to that Dermatologist place for more treatment
Today will be an easy one as they are just going to take out a couple Stitches from the last Biopsy
But then... Good news or not so good? I am expecting them to say more surgery
I have had only one Biopsy that said OK, no extra clipping needed, hoping for that today
