~ October... Going... Going... ~
~ And Halloween Too ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Micro Tomato Plants too tall for the Grow Lights ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, the Month of October is leaving on a Summer Day, they are saying 83 Degrees for the Day!
And it has been a warmer that usual October, we normally get a Freeze before now, but that's OK with me
Just about everything outside has been harvested, one little Cantaloupe and some tiny Cukes still out back
Most of the Flowers are still looking good out front, a few fading Plants have been dumped so far
But like the Monkey said when he backed into the Lawnmower... "It won't be long now"

And so, the inside Gardens are mostly doing OK... Picked the last Lettuce out of AeroGarden 5
Now just waiting for a the Two 'Christmas Tree' Pepper plants I planted in that one
But the Micro Tomatoes didn't do so good in the Three Pod AeroGardens in the Kitchen

The 'Mighty Mini' Tomatoes Plants I tried in them first did OK... sort of, but the 'Micro-Tomatoes' are too tall
The Grow lights are at their Maximun height and the Tomato Plants are already taller than the lights
So I decided to clip the Tomato Plants and plant something else, seems that Herbs are the best choice for those small Gardens

First thing, I did clip those Tomato plants... now what? Just might go ahead and plant some Lettuce there
I have some Seeds and I think I can clip the Lettuce as it approaches the Lights... if and when
And then off to the Minit Mart, got my $20 worth of Lottos, won $25 back, then a stop at Walgreems

Another late Breakfast and then I thought I would take the Mercedes up to get an Inspection Appointment
Stopped in the Price Chopper first to trade in my $25 win for more Tickets... then next Door to the Shop
And the guy there said if I could leave it they would try to get it done later in the Day
That would leave me with the option of walking that Mile back home but I left it anyway
So then, first down the Hill, not bad at all, then up that next steep Hill... what you kidding!
Well I had to stop and rest but I made it, then down the next easy Hill... but the big steep hill was waiting
OK, I made that one too, and the rest of the way wasn't so bad at all but sure glad to see that last downhill to Home
And for all my efforts... I scratched off Two $5s and One $25 Win... $60 for the Day!

Nothing going on so I decided to run down to the Fast Stop to trade for more Lottos
This time I got back to scratch off another $25... Then back to the Minit Mart for more
Traded in my $25, got $20 more Tickets and this time I only won back $15... time to quit?
Well that was a $5, $5, $5, $5, $10, $10, $15, $20 and $25 Win... Lot of fun trying
Didn't keep track of the Math, don't think I made much if any Profit... but SOMEDAY!

And such a nice Day out there, took a walk out back... I saw some small Poblano Peppers
Still growing on the Plant I started indoors in the AeroGarden and set out later in the Tomato bed
For sure I'll keep an eye on those before Frost... And found a few more tiny Cucumbers
To small to use? HAH! I'll make Pickles out of them... Gherkins maybe?

~ More Cucumbers Monday ~ And still some tiny Ones on the Vines ~

Yeah... Pickles... I rinsed the Cucumbers really well, I had some prepared Brine in the Fridge
So I poured the Brine in the Pot, put the Pot on to boil, put the Cucumbers in the Pot
Then rinsed out the Jar with hot Water, when the Brine boiled, into the Jar with the Cukes then the Brine WAH LAH!

Well then, that was pretty much the Pre-Halloween Day and I don't do Halloween Night
I wrapped up the Day with a big Burger on a Kaiser Roll with some more Cole Slaw and Chips
And then the usual finale, more TV and then off to bed to dream and dream some more

~ Smoked Chicken Leg Quarters ~
~ Harvested Poblanos Diced and stored in the Freezer ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ $6.97 worth of FREE Chicken to Smoke ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sunday Morning, cloudy and cool, but they say Sunny and 70 degrees later, hard to believe that
And so, a long Morning messing around on the Computer and then off to seek my Fortune...
Before I headed out, I checked to see I had $7.30 left to spend on my AT&T Rewards Card... What to buy?
Well, I checked online to see how much I could buy counting the Sales Tax on what that was... AHA! $6.75
So I got my Lottos and headed back for something to BBQ, their best Chicken Leg Quarters for $1.99 a pound!
I got a Pack that said $6.57 and headed to the Checkout.. and it rang up for $6.97... 33 Cents left!

Ok then, a late Breakfast, more Biscuits and Sausage Gravy... I do like that stuff...
Then unpacked my Chicken, dusted it with BBQ Rub to wait for the Smoker when I got in the mood for that
And next... a minor chore, split, seed and rinse the Poblano Peppers to dice up in the Food Proccessor, then Freeze

~ Diced Poblano Peppers ready for the Freezer ~

After that, I went out about 12:25 p.m. to light the Burner in the Smoker and lay on a Hickory Loglet
Then I went back out at 1 p.m. to put the Chicken in the Smoker, the Hickory Aroma was already perfuming the Air
What else to do? I headed up to the Apartment Complex Office to bring the Calla Plants back down to my place

So I cut the Stems off the Plants, loaded them into my Blazer and back down the Hill, dumped the Stems
I set the pots on the Porch for now, when it gets colder I plan to try overwintering them inside
Then I'll take them out back, dig big holes up on the Hill, dump the Pots and try planting the whole thing

Coasting on then to 2 p.m. ...After an hour in the Smoker, back out to flip the Chicken over to cook evenly
Then sipped away at my Margarita and then at 3:15 p.m. back out to bring in the Chicken
And what a Gorgeous sight to behold and then to enjoy that Aroma until time to tear into it!

~ Gorgeous Smoked Chicken Again! ~

And that was most of the Day on Sunday, finished off with a Chicken Leg, Cole Slaw and some Chips
Now comes the Day I like Second Best... Monday and a new Week... And tomorrow my most Favorite Day... PAY DAY!

~ Another Summer Day for Saturday? ~
~ And another really Busy Day ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Cucamelon Vines ~ Now at 19 Inches ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Woke up at 3 a.m. Saturday Morning, just couldn't get back to sleep so I started my Day
Started my Daily Morning routine, put the Phone on the Charger, made my Coffee, checked the Bank
Then checked Facebook for comments, most always there are some, then the Email and on to my Blog
Took a Photo of my new Christmas lights for my Blog, finished and posted it online
Then a Crossword Puzzle and still only 5 a.m. Gonna be a long, long Day

And a peek at the Cucamelons, still climbing every Day, sometimes need a little help finding a grab
The Vines are tiny and very flexible, seems they would break so easily but I can get them a hold with no problem

So still so early, jumped in the Shower at 6 a.m. Get ready to go chase Lottos again
This time woth a Pocket full of money, Friday started the Day with $35 Cash in my Wallet
Saturday Morning... $140 Cash and a $15 Winner to trade in, get my first batch for only $5

So, off to the Price Chopper to trade my $15 Ticket for $20 more. won back only $10
Not good enough so I headed over to the Minit Mart, traded in my $10 win and $10 Cash for $20 More
And then only won back $5 of that, time to call it a Day while still ahead from Friday
Then thought up a Project for the Day, empty and move some Pots out front, most Veggies done anyway
Picked some nice Peppers off the Three Poblano Plants there, and a few Tomato nubbins from that Plant
Then Cut off the Plants and dumped them in the Trash, moved the Two Mexibell Pepper Pots onto the Porch

Next that big Pot with the Tomato, cut the Plant out and tossed it, then tried to move that heavy Pot
It was 11 a.m. then and time to take a break, that's heavy work for an old Geezer fer sure
So, resting up, I caught up my Blog this far and then thinking of heading back out...

Back out again for a half hour, that Pot was way heavier than it was when I moved it a couple years ago
I had added more Soil and the watering settled it and made it heavier, I decided to remove some of it
I had two empty smaller Pots and I filled them up, there was still about a third of the Soil left in the Pot
But this time I could move it across the Pebbles and put it in the Corner I wanted for the Winter

~ Same Pot in 2014 ~ Not quite as Heavy Then ~

Now some more empty Pots on the Porch and the number will increase as the Weather gets Colder
But the Weather man is now saying probably no Freeze until November 7th, see how close he comes
Now I am in the late Autumn ritual of emptying and putting the Pots aside until Spring

~ The Number of Empty Pots will increase Now ~

And a nice Harvest of Poblano Peppers of all sizes, most all usuable, will grind them up to freeze for later
Can then use them for Relish, Salsa, Chili, most any Dish that calls for tasty Peppers with a little spice kick

~ The last Harvest from the Poblanos out Front ~

Then those Two Mexibell Plants out front, quite a few Peppers on them and they still looked really healthy
So I decided to do a little re-arrangement (again) on the Kitchen Shelves and bring them back inside
First I took the two Planters back outside that I had been using for the 'nubbins' Experiment
As I had said earlier, I thought that Experiment was mostly for Show and not for Go,and it wasn't going anywhere
Then I moved the Center Shelf up some, put the new Pepper plant in the Center and set the Mexibells on each side
How many times has that shelf been re-arranged lately? Nothing stays the same here very long it seems

~ The Latest Kitchen Garden Setup ~

OK. that wrapped up the Garden business fur that busy Day, on to a Cocktail. Dinner and TV
Now still $100 of that last nice Lotto Win in my Pocket and Pay Day on Tuesday... How Sweet it Is!

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~

~ Summer back for Friday ~ Over 80 Degrees ~
~ Nice Lotto Winning Day ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ More Diced Tomatoes for the Freezer ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And it was a nice 'Summer' Day on Friday with Temps in to 80s and not a lot going on
Nothing to be done out front or out in back, most all harvested except a few Peppers
After we get a freeze it will ber time to clean put the Garden Beds inback, get ready for nexy year

No Gardening iside either except to pop out the dying Tomato in Garden 4 and replace it with a pepper Seed
I did notice that one more Tomato plant popped up in Garden 4, don't think they will do much there

And, it was just another run around Day chasing Lottos Wins, and ended up with a profit for a change
I started the Day right at the Fast Stop, I won a $5, $10 and a nice $100 there
And then I went back to crow about it, got some more and then won a $5 and a $40 Ticket, really nice

Kind of like the Day before winning here and there going back for more, the Price Chopper and the Minit Mart too
For the Day I won a $3, $5, $5, $5, $5, $10, $15, $15, $40 and that top of $100, $183 in all and a nice Profit

~ Hit a Nice $100 Win ~ Went back to Trade and got a $40 Win! ~

Then checking my Wakmart Order online about Noon, saw that my latest order was there
No hurry to get it as it was Christmas Lights but I headed over to get it, back to unpack to check
Two Solar Poweed light sets for m Dwarf Spruce Trees, I though about that when I first bought the trees
So now, when to install them and try them out, well it is still October, wait at least until after Spook Night
Then what the heck... let them shine through Thanksgiving and on to Christmas, might as well see if they work

~ Two Sets of Solar Lights for my little Spruce Trees ~

SO then my Margarita (where did the Manhattans go?) and what's for Dinner?, I had one Lotto prize Burger left
I set that out to thaw, later chomped that down with some Tater Chips at TV time
That was Friday, now what for Saturday? Again not a clue... eccept chase some more Lottos

~ Harvested a little More Lettuce ~
~ No Gardening Thursday ~ Inside or Out ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Snipped more Lettuce after the Pod fell over ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The Lettuce Crop in AeroGarden 5 was maturing and I had snipped all from a couple end Pods
I replaced the Two end Pods with Pepper Seeds on Wednesday, and snipped another end Pod for some Dinner Lettuce
And later I noticed that the Plant next to the one I snipped fell over, was using that end Pod for support
So I snipped that one too, rinsed, wrapped and into the Fridge to use for something later
And then I moved one of the new Pepper Seed Pods to the other end, then made 'Plant Spacers' for the Empty Pods
Now one more Lettuce snipping left and I can lower the Grow Lights for the new Pepper plants

~ Just one Harvest of Lettuce left in AeroGarden 5 ~

A pleasant Sunny Day, a little on the cool side but tolerable, just nothing needed attention Outside
I started running around chasing Rainbows, win a little here and a little there, never anything worth mentioning
I hit the Minit Mart a couple times, the Price Chopper about Three times, winning small ones amd trading again
I did win a $5, $10, $10, $10, $15, $15, $20 and one more $20, but after all that, still a $5 loss for the Day
But it sure is Fun (for me) to keep trying for that big One, but those are my worst vices, just Lottos and Tech Toys

I noticed Boss Bob's Truck in front of the Office, he stops in to help the new buyers of the Complex
And a little later I heard a Knock on my Door, he stopped in to catch up with me, seems to care how I am getting along

On through the nothing much but pleasant Day, thinking of what's for Dinner Early, well I thought of some Cole Slaw
Most everything I have been cooking lately would go well with some of that, so I headed back one more time to the Price Chopper
So I got a head of Cabbage, some Onions, Slaw Dressing, pack of Baloney on a good Sale, some Milk
And of course traded in the last $20 win of Tickets for another win of $15, loss of $5...

Time then for a Margarita, start on the Slaw and think of what else to go with that, so much to choose from
After the Slaw was prepared and in the Fridge, back to the TV for the rest of the Afternoon

Then Bratwurst on a Bun, Cole Slaw and un vaso de Vino Tinto, some more TV and off to bed

~ Planted a Couple more Peppers ~
~ Harvested Lettuce for Dinner ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ 'Chistmas Tree' Pepper Seeds planted in Garden 5 ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Ok, Wednesday again, first thing, planted those Pepper Seeds in Two Pods in AeroGarden 5 to replace the Harvested Lettuce
Before those Peppers germinate and need the Grow Lights lowered for them, I needed to harvest more Lettuce
So I clipped the Plants from another Pod, into the water rinse, then chill and make Wilted Lettuce with Dinner later
That will take some time for the new Peppers to pop up and I'll clip the rest of the Lettuce before then

~ This Harvest might make a Serving of Wilted Lettuce ~

And wondering why it is taking so long for the Mini Sweet Peppers to pop up in the Pot in the Kitchen planted October 19th
Only one... 'Micro Tom' is up in Aerogarden 4 after I replanted them on October 16th, and so... I planted more Seeds
Now give then a few more Days and see if they do any better, you never know

Well, what did I do around here before I got busy with all this Indoor Gardening started in September last year
Before then when the Outdoor gardens quit nothing inside except a few Pots with this or that
Now though, I am a little unhappy with the Three Pod Gardens, have to grow short stuff like Herbs
The Six Pod Garden is a little Better but still the Grow Light won't go up very far, the Seven Pods go up 24 Inches

On to the afternoon non-activities and later that Dinner, Sausage Stuffed Poblano Pepper with Salsa and Cheese
I had the Pepper in the Oven, had the Lettuce and Onion in a Bowl, Oil, Bacon, Vinegar and Sugar in the Pot
Toasted a slice of Rye Bread, buttered that, heated the Oil and Bacon to a Boil, then into the Lettuce
Stirred the Lettuce, then into a heated Bowl, the Stuffed Pepper, Lettuce and Bread on the Coffee Table
Then a Glass of Vino Tinto and on with the Movie and my Feast, and the end of anther semi-busy Day

~ Last Tomato Harvest ~
~ Not Happy with the Micro Tomatoes ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Starting Project for Tuesday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Tuesday... 7:30 a.m. 55 Degrees going to 75 later, fine weather for October as long as it lasts
I have been watching the Weather for that first Freeze so I can harvest everything that is left
And what is left is getting to be less as the Days go by, picking a little here and than
I was just checking my Pages for last Year, my last Harvest then was October 16th
So this Year may run until the end of October before everything quits for the Season

So, what plans for the Day? The Lettuce in AeroGarden 5 needs to be trimmed or harvested
There are 3 or 4 empty Pods there now, thinking of putting the Pickling Pepper plants there next
They are larger so I would only Plant Two Plants, one in each end Pod

So the first Project for Tuesday, Harvest some Lettuce and plant a couple Pepper Plants in Aero 5 Garden
So, pack a couple empty Pods with Sphagnum, plant a few Seeds in each, put them in Pods in AeroGarden 5
Then Trim some Lettuce to make room for them when they Germinate

Next a peek at the Gardens in the Kitchen, not all going so well, those Micro Toms seem too big for the Gardens
One fell over in AeroGarden 1, tied it up, already at Grow Lamp maximum height too, needs more room
The one in AeroGarden 3, looks like one plant is dying, the other almost touching the Grow Light

~ Micro Tomatoes in the Kitchen ~

Took another hike out back just to check things, and things looked like they were on the way out
I had a bag with me... and I thought I might as well pick all the Tomatoes, not much growing weather left
So I did that and also found a couple small but usable Cucumbers, now they are all gone except a few tiny nubbins
Then on the way back in, I picked all the sizable Tomatoes from the Plant in the Pot
Now they are all on the Kitchen Table, some will ripen, some I'll use in Salsa or Relish

~ Last Tomato Harvest for the 2016 Season ~

Is this the last of the Cucumbers? Well... Enough is enough

~ And probably the last Cucumber Harvest ~

And that was about it for the Activities, headed over to I-435 to see Rion for his Computer Payment and loser Tickets
I got four new Tickets while I was there, only won $5 back... Can't win 'em all... Obviously

Then I mixed a late Margarita, took out a Bratwurst to thaw, back to the TV with my Cocktail
then heated up Later heated u te Brat inthe Skillet, on with some Mustard and my own Dill Pickles, so Tater Chipson the side
Then back to the TV to finish out the Day with a glass of Vino Tinto and more old TV Shows

~ Smoked Brats ~ Thinned Lettuce ~ Whee! ~
~ Won some nice Lottos ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Time to Thin the Lettuce 'Forest' ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Monday, starting off the Day with 49 degrees... Not bad for October and high 60s and 70s the rest of the Week
The only Crops left outside are some Tomatoes and One Cantaloupe out back, maybe a couple tiny Cukes
And then some Mexibell and Poblano Peppers out front in the Pots, a few Tomatoes on the plant in the Pot

Oh what an exciting life I do lead, right, Herr Sigi Wulle? What to do on Monday then?
Well somehow I was thinking of the Bratwurst in my Freezer, how about smoking that? Took them out of the Freezer
Whoops, only three left, and no Buns... Off to the Price Chopper, got a 5 pack of Brats and a 6 pack of Brat Buns
Now just let them warm up to room temp amd then later when it warms up outside, into the Smoker

But before that, a late Breakfast of Biscuits and Sausage Gravy... Yumm, then what?
The Lettuce Seeds were popping and way too close together in those Kitchen Planters, I thinned one Planter
But one to go, that should be an interesting Project for a few Minutes... Yeah?

And so, off to seek my Fortune, must be out there somewhere and I did pretty good on Lottos for a change
I went to the Fast Stop Twice, the Minit Mart Twice and the Price Chopper last for a $30 Win
I won a $5, $15, and $50 Lotto at the Fast Stop, Two $15 at the Minit Mart and a $5, $10 and $15 at the Price Chopper
I am not all that good at Math but I think I made a profit of $45 for the Day

~ One more nice $50 Win for the Month ~

Then time for some BBQ, went out to light the fire at 1:30 p.m. or so, back in to mix a Margarita
That Hickory Smoke was already perfuming the Air when I took the Brats out to put them in the Smoker at 1:45 p.m.
Then, two more Hours of that tantalizing Aroma floating on the Autumn breeze, then on to the Afternoon TV

Back out at 3:45 to take the Brats out of the Smoker, a guy was working in the sump next to it
It was Victor from the Water Company, they were replacing all the Meters in the Complex with a new type
A real friendy guy, he said he was enjoying the Aroma of my Smoking all over the place that afternoon
I offered him a couple, he said thanks but he was OK... But as I was taking them out he said yeah he would like one
So I took them inside, then wrapped Two in Foil, then Paper Towels to keep them warm, took them back out
That's the Pack there on the end of the Smoker Shelf, I took a Photo, told him it would be on my Blog today

~ Victor the Water Meter Man ~

Then a call from my Mechanic Friend Bob, he came by with an Inspection Slip and Sticker for my Blazer License renewal
And then signed the Title and a 'Gift Affidavit' for the Mercedes he gave me... Need to get it licensed too

On to Dinner time, fired up my Deep Fryer for some French Fries, a big Brat on a Bun with Horseradish and Mustard
Back to the TV to enjoy the best Brat I have tried for a while, some 'Breaking Bad' and 'Bates Motel' reruns
And that wound up another pretty nice Day overall, yeah!

~ Some really Tasty Smoked Brats ~

So what's today? Oh, Tuesday, got to run over to I-435 to see Rion, he has a some loser Lotto Tickets for me to enter for Points
And a Payment on the Computer... And maybe some winner Lotto tickets, last time I won a $50 one I got front him

Off to another good Day living out my Dotage... well anyway... I think I am having fun

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~

~ My Drivel 'page' is now my 'blog' ~
~ Finished Editing a Composite Video ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Now a 'Lettuce Forest' in my Planter ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And... The lettuce Seeds I planted in my Kitchen Planter experiment have germinated and are growing
I don't think the 'nub' planting is going anywhere much, decided to plant Seeds and see what happens
The Seeds are so tiny and I planted too many, now thinning them as they get big enough to separate

Well now, after all these years posting my 'Daily Drivel' as 'www.donlsmith.net/page'... my 'Page' is now 'www.donlsmith.net/blog'...
I think a lot of people (well maybe a few) on Facebook didn't realize it was a personal blog
So now I will just Upload it as /blog and still continue it as /page also, so I don't have to change all of the Page URLs

It turned out to be a nice Weather Day again on Saturday and I did find enough to keep me busy all morning
Now a peek at the Weather Forecast for the Week, says the next Ten Days will be in or above the 70s
That is hard to believe this late in October, I am betting we get a real cold Night before then

So what to do on Sunday, well that Video I started Editing, Four Santa Trek Videos into one Video
Worked on that for an Hour or Two, finished it, rendered the File and burned a Blu-ray DVD
Now it is a long, long Video to watch on my TV to see what errors I made and need to change

Taking a quick break, I chunked up and ground all those red Tomatoes on the Table with my Food Processor
Then into the Freezer with a second Container of diced Tomatoes to use in Salsa or whatever later

And 2 p.m. Time to mix that daily Margarita and see if I can watch all of that Video without getting bored
I have seen all Four separate Videos several times, I did do a little editing this time though

So at Cocktail time I watched my new DVD... and it wasn't as boring as I thought it might be
And everything looked good except the music was just a tad too loud in a couple places, I can fix that easy

So again not all that much doing on Sunday and nothing planned for Monday, but then I don't plan much anyway
I just get a nutty Idea and start off on another project of one kind of another... So what's for Monday?

~ Harvested a Ton of Green Peppers! ~
~ And Eight more Tomatoes ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ First Micro Tom popped up Saturday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, I replanted those failed Micro Tomatoes on October 16th, first one Germinated
Now see whether this planting will do any better than the First one, will try for four Plants in Aero 4 Garden
There are Two Plants in each of the three Pod Gardens in the Kitchen doing OK so far

A trip in warming Sun to the Price Chopper, needed some of this and some of that and picked up a few more things
I would see something on a nice Sale that I would need soon, so I had to take advantage of that
So far I have used my AT&T $200 Rewards card to buy all my Groceries this Month and I still have $54 left on it
And of course I got my Lottos, won $15 but that is stil a $5 loss, for the Day... (so far)

Back home I thought I should check out back, again not expecting much... But then quite a Green Pepper Harvest!
The Plants looked overloaded and were tilting over with the weight, so I relieved them of all the Peppers
So, looks like I will have grind and freeze them for later or make more Relish or Salsa... Which?

~ Thirty-Eight Big Bertha Peppers ~ Here comes More Pepper Salsa? ~ Yeah, Maybe Later ~

And there were several more Tomatoes coloring up, decided to pick them and ripen on the Table
I will need to do something with the rest already ripe there now... Decisions... Decisions...

~ Eight more Tomatoes to add to the Harvest ~

Well after thinking a bit, I would have to go buy more Canning Jars and lose more space in my Fridge
And that I already have more Pickles, Salsa and Relish than I can use in a Year! Let's grind and freeze!
So I saved out the Seven Largest Peppers to use fresh, then rinsed cored and chopped up the other Thirty
And that just exactly filled one of my larger Freezer Containers, now much later I can make salsa or relish

~ Nice Box of Ground Up Peppers to Freeze ~

And that was finished about 1 p.m. Still a whole Afternoon to use up, so... Work some more on a new Blu-ray I am doing
Editing and combining Four Years of Santa Trek Videos into one DVD, About One third done so far

I did some of that, after awhile that got tedious so I adjourned to the TV with a Margarita

Well we got that 39 Degrees that Mike on Channel 4 said we would get and maybe not another one for a Week
But any Day (or Night) now, we can get that first Freeze that shuts down the Garden Season... (Outside)
That sure will not shut down the Indoor Gardening, more stuff growing evey Day, like those Kitchen Plants up there
And those Cucumelon Vines on the Living Room Shelf, almost twice as tall as on Wednesday Morning

~ Cucamelon Vine at 13 Inches Now ~

Nothing needed to be done out front or back and not much Inside either, so a long Day on Friday
I headed out to the Bank to hit the ATM and then the Fast Stop for Four loser Lottos
That was most all of the Morning... A long Day ahead, decided to head to Walmart

I wanted to see if thay had any Solar Christmas Lights for my little Dwarf Spruce Trees for Christmas
They had a lot of Christmas Stuff on display and lots of Christmaa Lights but not what I wanted
So back to the Ranch and I checked onlne, found some that should do and ordered that
That will be delivered soon but no hurry yet, we have six weeks before they need to go out on the Trees

With that little activity over it was on to the long Afternoon and Evening and off to bed way too early again
Can we find something more interesting to do on Saturday?... Well let's see

~ Rain to Start ~ Then a Sunny Day ~
~ Started another Plant Experiment ~

Another cooler Morning on Thursday, said it would be in the 40s but they missed that, 51 Degrees at 6 a.m.
But tonight will fall into the 40s they say again, but then warmer for another Week maybe
So more Tomatoes will be ripening up, I already have quite few waiting on the Kitchen Table for something

~ More Tomatoes waiting every Day ~

The Day started out dark and cool and rainy, headed to the Price Chopper to no avail, no luck for Thursday
On through a slow Morning, the rain stopped and then the Sun came out nice and bright but still cool
Brrrrr, says the top would be 59 for the Day, now that is not at all warm... So, what can I do inside?

Well those 'Mexican Hat' Seeds, how about an experiment with those? Plant them in Pots
So I got out a couple Seed Starter Pots, filled them with Potting Soil and brought them inside
Then those tiny, tiny Seeds, like Black Pepper flakes, the tiniest I ever tried to work with
So as carefully as I could, I worked them out of the tiny Envelope, trying to get some in the center of each Pot
Then I set the Pots into little Trays and then on the Shelf with the Micro Tomatoes in the Aerogardens
Now see how long and if it works out to start those little Flowers... They were Free, so no real loss if not

~ Those 'Ratibida columnifera' Seeds Planted ~ Let's just say 'Mexican Hats' ~

And then, about 1 p.m. took a hike out back just to check, pretty sure nothing more ready to Harvest yet
Not then, but plenty for later to beat the Freeze... I counted about 20 more Tomatoes out there. all sizes
And lots of Green Peppers, again all sizes from dinky to nice big ones, and a few Cucumber nubbins that might make it
On the way back in, two kinds of Peppers there in five Pots, just waiting, Mexibells and Poblanos
And the single Better Boys Tomato Plant in the Pot, I counted over 20 tomatoes on that one too

And Wonder of wonders, one final miniscule Eggplant, they sure didn't do anything this Year out back
Next Year I'll put them in Pots out Front, the few times I did that I got some good Harvests

~ Sure not going to try this kind Again ~

And that was just about all for Thursday except some Dinner, what to 'Unfreeze' this time
Well, another smoked Chicken Thigh, some Broccoil, unfrozen then simmered, Buttered and Cheesed
Some Cheesy Creamed Corn from the Fridge, reheated... and of course un vaso de Vino Tinto

Y ahora... hasta que nos volvamos...

And Wednesday Morning, 53 Degrees and a High of 69, not like it was on Tuesday, a real Summer Day
Bright Sun and just a tad too warm after the last few seasonally cool Fall Days
They are saying in the 40s to start the Day on Thursday but then back to the Warm for a week or so
But that first Frost is getting ready to sneak in just any Day now... Brrrrrrrrr....

A catch up Photo of the Cucamelon Vines on the way up... How high will they go? We shall see
Those little Vine grasping tendrils are about as fine as a hair, really tiny and look so fragile

~ Tiny Tendrils on the Cucamelon Vines ~

And then... Bug Day again, they spray every couple Months, no bugs around here much
But a Fly did sneak in yesterday, found him dead later in the lavatory...
Then a too long talk with that boring Guy on the Phone again, does he ever have anything I want to hear?
Then some Oatmeal Cookies and TV News... (News?) and off again to find my Fortune

And again I didn't find it, well you can't call a $15 Win any kind of Fortune, not even good luck
Then slowly on through a Boring Boring Day, just no Ideas what to do, and Cool and Cloudy to boot
Finally 2 p.m. decided to buzz up the Hill for the Snail Mail... Lookee there!... My Mini Pepper Seeds
Then a little Project to do, find a Pot and fill it up with Soil and then plant those Seeds

~ My Mini-Sweet Pepper Seeds ~ All the Way from China ~

Opened my Seed Pack, and there were Two Envelopes in there, One the Pepper Seeds and one labeled 'Ratibida columnifera'
It said 'Gift'... OK fine, but what is that? I looked it up online... Hah, Mexican Hat, some Flowers to plant somewhere
"Ratibida columnifera, commonly known as upright prairie coneflower or Mexican hat
It is a species of flowering plant in the Daisy family". Ok another Project for whenever

~ My Pepper Seeds ~ And What is that Other One? ~

And so, after all that Boring Day... that Garden Project, but that wouldn't take long, out front for a Pot
Well there was a usuable and empty Pot, but what is that Marigold doing out there in the Pebbles?
A Bloom from another Plant probably dropped there and the seed in it wanted to survive and looks like it did
Maybe I could save it from the Frost, looked like it was trying hard to look pretty, so another Pot
I carefully pried the Plant from the Pebbles saving as many Roots as I could, then into the Pot
Filled the Pot with Soil, brought it in, watered it, found a plastic Bowl to set it in and then on the Shelf

~ Self Planted Marigold in the Pebbles ~ Transferred to a Pot ~

Then the bigger Project, filled the Pot with Soil, leveled it out, tamped it down, and brought it inside
And planted Five Seeds in the center, watered them, then set the Pot on the bottom Kitchen Shelf with the Pickling Pepper Pot

~ My Mini-Sweet Pepper Seeds ~ Planted on Wednesday ~

So, after a 'nothing to do' Morning a couple late projects came up to keep me busy until Dinner Time
Got that going, retired to the TV to finish out the Day, set the DVR to record the Debate and headed off to bed

~ A very Warm... 'Summer' Day ~
~ A Small Harvest ~ A Bit of Garden Maintenance ~

~ The Planter Experiment Crops ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Bright Sun on Tuesday Morning but a bit on the cool side, still at 65 Degrees at 11 a.m.
Checked the Inside Crops, added Water there, raised the Grow Light there, took a Photo there
Morning routine all done, Lotto money already lost for the Day, any project in sight?, well a hike out back
On the way out I saw a New Zealand Impatiens all wilty, they don't like cool but I didn't think it had been that cool yet
Anyway, I checked the Soil, very Dry so I gave it a gallon of Water and headed on out back

~ Thought this Impatiens was a Goner ~ A Gallon of Water and an Hour Later ~ Voila! ~

The Cucumbers in the Cucumber Bed are pretty much all gone now, a few more hanging on in the Pepper and Tomato Beds
A lot of green Peppers now in the Pepper bed and when we get that first Frost warning, they all get Harvested

~ Cucumbers in this Bed Finished ~ Lots of Peppers still to Harvest ~

Then I found a few more ripening Tomatoes to harvest, one more Cucumber and a really nice Big Bertha Pepper, best yet
Planned to stuff that Big Bertha Green Pepper for Dinner Tuesday Night, some Mashed Taters to go along with it?

~ Harvest for Tuesday ~ Some Good Stuff there Maynard ~

Then I was thinking... We hadn't had much Rain lately and I hadn't watered much either, maybe more Water is needed
So the Hose was still out front, I hooked it up and set to with that Project about Noon<
So I took my time at watering everything out front and trimming a but here and there, looking better now
I was neglecting things out front on these cool Days but now I think we might have another nice Week or Two
And on Wednesday I just might drag that Hose out back and give those beds a good soaking too

That was about it for the Gardening effort for the Day, on to start on something for Dinner, that big Pepper
I started on the Stuffing, thawed out two big Bratwursts, crumbled into the Skillet added chopped Onion, Garlic and Salsa
Then I carefully slit the big Pepper, opened enough to get out the Seeds, then stuffed all the filling in
Layed it on it's side in the Casserole, some Ketchup amd Parmesan on top and into the Oven
Next prepared the mashed Potatoes, all set then for Dinner later... Then my Margarita and TV session

Dinner Time... That big Pepper filledhalf the Platre, the other ghalf with thePotatoes, that was it
That Pepper was a really 'Big' Bertha, I could only eat half of it, but the other half will keep in the Fridge
And it was a really fine way to end that surprisingly warm late Summer Day

Monday, Monday... I like Mondays... One more whole Week to use up doing not much of anything
Well I was fairly busy all Weekend getting not much of anything done, but it did get done
Now they say another Summer Day ahead, and yesterday was pretty warm just like they said it would be
Temps supposed to drop back to normal the rest of the Week, no real cool Mornings until Thursday with a low of 45
Then no more again until Wednesday the 26th, about time we usually get a Frost or Freeze

Checked all the Indoor Gardens first, Had to raise a few Grow lights, one large AeroGarden almost to the Top
Then a catch up Photo of the 'Pickling Pepper' Plant in the Kitchen and the Aerogardens with 'Micro-Tomato' Plants
The little Pepper Plant looks like a little Birdie about to take off

~ Micro Tomato Plants in the Kitchen doing OK so far ~

OK, where did Monday go? I started this Diatribe Monday morning amd then on to the rest of the Day
And now Tuesday Morning. 5 a.m. and I can't remember what I did the rest of the Day... Don't tell me I am getting old!
Oh well, I'll pour a cup of coffee and see what I can remember as I wake up, first must have been going for Lottos

So I checked my Lotto List, where I keep track of my Winners, yeah, I went to the Price Chopper first
There I won a $5 Ticket and lost $15, not a good start for the Week, then to the Fast Stop for more
Traded in that $5 Winner, got $20 more Tickets, won $5 and lost $15, really no good start for my Winning Week

And running out of money faster this month than last, what's going on anyway?, well a couple extra bills
Checking my Bank against my Journal I keep instead of in my Check book, don't write many checks anymore...
It says online in my Bank that I have more Money than was shown in my Journal, what's going on?
So I checked the addition and subtraction of my Journal entries, all OK, then checked the Bank figures
Couldn't find any discrepancy there either, HUH? So I printed out the last two Monthly Statemens
Checked again every entry in my Journal... AHA! There it was, I had entered a $97 Payment twice
Hey Hey... all the Way! I have about five more Days of monsy for Lotto Losses than I thought I had!

Well that took quite a bit of time, on to the rest of the Day, that huge stack of Loser Lotto Tickets
Rion gave me quite a stack last time and I got behind entering them for Prize Points, got to that boring chore
So I started on that, spent quite a bit of time and got almost all of the Scratcher Tickets entered
But I still have a big pile of Draw Tickets and they are more of a pain to enter than the Scratcher Tickets
I'll put that off some more until I get really bored, then work on those, I have over 10,000 Points anyway

So that was about it for a far more boring than a usually busy Day, well every Day can't be an Adventure... Can it?

~ Sunny and Warm Sunday ~
~ Found a Goof in AeroGarden 4 ~

~ Lots of Lettuce ~ Let's make a Sandwich ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sunday Morning, and they say Summer is back for a couple Days... 85 Degrees for Sunday and 89 for Monday
A little break but it won't last, still looking for that first freeze and only a Week or Two away
And it was sort of a boring Saturday for me, maybe something will pep up the action for Sunday? I doubt it

And then, a Breakfast of Biscuits and Sausage Gravy... Like me and Grandma used to make, yeah, I helped
Then headed out back for another check and this time another small Harvest, Seven more Tomatoes turning Color
They will ripen on the Table and as they do I'll use them for this and that or grind them up and freeze them

~ Seven more Better Boys Tomatoes ~

And I was thinking of digging up the Cantaloupe Vines and getting that Cage ready for Pumpkins next Yyear
But lookee at what I found, another small green Cantaloupe... Probably won't ripen before Frost but I'll wait

~ A Race to the first Frost to see if it Ripens ~

Well now... Who's the DUMMY around here? What's going on with my AeroGarden 4? Plants not growing!
So, I have 37 Plants planted inside, some doing good, some better and some not so good and those were not
So what's the problem... Checked the Air Pump... no Bubbles, restarted the Garden, still no Bubbles
How about the power cord, checked around back, the Air Pump power cord just hanging loose... DUMMY!
I plugged in the cord, AHA! Bubbles then... So I added Nutrient, added Water, restarted the Garden
So, I'll watch close the next few Days, see how things are going and if not a lot better... I'll replant

~ Plants in my AeroGarden 4 going Nowhere ~

Then checking back when I planted those, I had Swiss Chard in there first but going nowhere fast
And I didn't want any more Chard anyway, so I dumped the Chard seeds and planted more Micro-Tomato Seeds October 4
Now I have those also planted and growing in Gardens 1 and 4, I have more Seeds and will replant Garden 4 if the restart fails

Well that was it until about Noon and on into the Afternoon, anything else exciting in store... HAH! You kidding?
Ok, then my Margarita, TV catch-up... Dinner under way, Smoked Chicken on a Bun, some creamy Corn from a new recipe
And, looking at that Aerogarden 4... Is that going to work? Why wait, decided to replant the whole thing
Took the Grow Bowl to the Sink, dumped the Water and the Plants, rinsed everything really well
Then restuffed the Seed Pods with more Spagnum Moss set them back in the grow Bowl, refilled with fresh Water and Nutrient
And then dropped 4 tiny seeds into each Pod, covered with a little more Moss, covered then with the 'Grow Domes'
And then back to the Living Room, set the Bowl back on the Base... And plugged in the Air Pump this time
Now all set, replanted, and we started all over again... Let's get some Micro Tomaters... HUH?

Back to the TV and un vaso de Vino Tinto... Until Dinner is served... Whenever that might be...

~ Halfway Through October! ~
~ A very long Dreary and Boring Saturday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Looks Like my first Lettuce Nub is giving Up ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

October 15th! Where did this Month go so soon? With Time flying this fast... I'll be 90 before you know it!
Well the Days do start slowing down as Pay Day approaches and the Money starts running out, that last week is a long one
So what to start this new Page 179 and what new Theme for the Start Photo? Hah! Make a little Video of Fall Photos
I got a short Video Clip to start it and then added some Fall Photos of the Nature Sanctuary, that didn't take long
Takes the longest to upload to Vimeo so I can embed it on the Page... That's it up on top there... Purdy Huh?

A quick peek at the Kitchen Planter Experiment, beginning to think this is just for Fun and not for Food
I plant a 'nub' of some Veggie, watch it start and then go nowhere much, like the first Lettuce I planted
It looked good for about a week or so and now it seems to be withering away... Oh well, like I said.. for fun

Then on to find something to get me through that Dreary, Cloudy and very boring Day... Needed something to do
First to the Price Chopper, all out of my favorite Carlo Rossi 'Paisano' Vino Tinto, have to have that
Then over to the Minit Mart for a no-go at Lotto Tickets... Added to the boredom... Back to water the Indoor Gardens
Next mixed up a Gallon of Miracle-Gro to feed the Plants in Pots and Planters, doled that out to the needy looking ones

OK, Something else to do, I had this huge stack of Loser Lottos that my friend Rion gave me... Needed to enter those
So I entered away, got quite a load of those tickets entered, got 9,755 Points again, still maybe 60 more Tickets to enter (later)

And a couple nights ago I was looking at some old Sanctuary Videos, needed a Case Label for one I watched
So back to the Computer to decide on a Photo and print one up, trim and stick it in the DVD Case... a very short Project
And also I had watched some of my Short Leaf Band Video, some of the Songs are way too long, decided to edit that
I got a good start, a couple songs edited and then got bored with that... Needed something interesting to do!

Well then it was almost 1:30 p.m. I could mix an early Margarita... and I did that... any Cooking Project to do?
Well I did dream up a little Cooking Project, just a modification of some Beans I had in the Freezer
I had a few leftover Enchiladas in the Freezer, thought I would dress them up a little with more Chili
So the Beans in the Pot to heat, then started to add stuff... some chopped Onion, out front to pick a couple of Poblanos
Chopped up the Poblanos and added them, them some Chili Powder, Cumin, a little Cilantro, it began to taste a bit like Chili
And it was ready to try for Dinner, plated an Enchilada, smothered it with the improvised Chili, yeah, that did perk up that Dish

Nothing the rest of the day to excite the World as if anything here ever does, just finished out a pleasant afternoon
Lots more evening TV and then too many Detailed Dreams overnight, I do far more in dreams than I do in the Daytime

Well let's get on with the new Day, maybe something interesting will happen for a change

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~

~ Cucamelons Beginning their Climb ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Beginning Friday Morning with another Windows 10 Insider Update... Will this ever end? Well kind of interesting
Some changes I like, some not so much, so far nothing drastic though, just a couple bumps along the way

Then I went in to check the front Room Plants, I wonder now how long that last setup will stay?
Seems I get ideas and keep changing things all around, well the Seasons change, so do my Plans
And the Cucamelons seem to like the new setup, grabbing on to the new 'Ladders' I made on Thursday

It was a misty dreary cool Morning Friday but not Cold anyway... Headed to the Price Chopper for a couple Items
I got my stuff, headed back to scratch only a $5 Ticket... Oh well... Still have a couple bucks in the Bank
Then some Breakfast, decided to enter a few more loser Tickets, that gets boring and I have a lot
Entering away and I entered a Ticket that said 'Not Recognized'... That means it is not a Loser or I entered wrong
Checked again, nope Numbers all OK... Checked the Ticket... The Code that says the Ticket is a winner not scratched
A hopeful sign, checked the Ticket, they hadn't scratched the back side 'Bonus'... I did... said a $50 Winner... Great!
So I took that back, cashed it in and got $20 more and only won back $15 that time, still a nice Profit

~ Nice 100% Profit Winner ~

And another Phone Call from 'Him'... Gets me upset every time, talk talk talk about nothing I want to hear
I blocked his number once, about time to so it again, just a real loser... No Job, wife kicked him out
Now living off Momma and he thinks he is a success! And nothing he says is of any interest to me... Oh well

Was really another nothing much Day, just a little this and that and lots of boredom, but the time did slip away
I had those three little Cucumbers I picked on Thursday, and a few more in the Crisper Drawer in my Fridge
Looked like enough for another Pint of Pickles so I started in on that, I already had the Brine
Put the Brine in the Pot to heat to Boiling, sliced up the Cucumbers and some Onion, into the Brine
And then into the Pint Jar, just enough to just fill it to the top, now I have way too many Pickles

~ One more - Not Needed - Pint of Pickles ~

So, then Margarita time, think about what to work on for Dinner and back to the TV Politics, so dreary
And Dinner to finish off the Day, what was that? Sure nothing special, just some warm-ups to help clear out the Fridge
So what now on Saturday Morning? Post this Drivel and start on a Second Page for October.. Half gone already!
Well they say 'Time flies when you're having Fun'... So am I?... Must be... let's go do something fun...
