Well, nothing to do with no Electricity but I got up and dressed anyway
Got some juice, found the News on my Phone and tried to see what and wherefore but nothing
Just at a total loss for something to do, how did people live without Electricity! I sure cannot
But at 8 a.m. WHIRRRRRRRR! again and the Lights came on... HALLELULAH! IT'S ALIVE!
So I put the Coffee on, took a photo of my Morning Glory Vine and back to the Computer
What a feeling of hopelessness that was for an Hour and a Half of feeling the World had ended
But the Morning Glory Vine wasn't fazed, see it did start climbing it's string
On through a long and nothing much doing Day, the Sun did come out in late Afternoon
Just on to the end of the usual Afternoon and Evening, sure not much to write home about
BUT PAY DAY TOMORROW!
And... Woke up several times overnight to hear more T-Rumbling and I suppose more Rain
And when I got up around 5 something a.m. I heard another big Thunder rumble and then all quiet
So what are they saying for the next to the last Day of April?
Oh goodie! 58 Degrees and light Rain, gonna be wet out there fer sure...
Well, my Radishes out back probably needed a little wet and so did my Flowers out front
And looks like we got and are getting more than plenty now
Saying mostly cloudy and 68 tops for the Day... and oh Goodie! T-storms for Tuesday
6:30 a,m, Getting light out there and looking good, no rain at the moment
All finished with my Morning computer stuff and what next? Not a single Idea...
I sure don't want a job but I do like to have fun things to do, like what? No Idea at the moment
Well, except head out for my morning hunt for treasure, first to the Fast Stop
Happy Monday to you... gimmee some good Lottos... And got some good chat
Got my Lottos and headed up the Hill to the Price Chopper, needed some goodies there
Got my goodies then next door to Walgreens for a Drug I don't think I need
Have to ask my Doc about that, well... TELL my Doc what I think about that
So I picked up the MetoProlol and headed back to scratch off just a dinky $15 Win... Phooey!
Then a bit of Gardening in the Kitchen, took a look at those lagging Morning Glory Vines
So do I see a Vine thinking about climbing that string, well about time... if it does
And...That was all the exciting action for My Monday... Such a thrilling Day!
So, TV and Dinner and Two Episodes of 'Bosch' on Amazon Prime. then one of Twighlite Zone
And off to beddy bye all over again
Oh My... I love those old songs...
'When I grow too old to dream, I'll have you to remember'
'When I grow too old to dream, Your love will live in my heart'
'So, kiss me my sweet and so let us part, and when I grow to old to dream'
'That Kiss will live in my Heart'
Well, enough of that super sentimental stuff, what we got going for another boring Sunday?
Ooooooh... Only 40 Degrees at 7 a.m. What did we do to deserve that? And only going to 60
Not quite yet time to turn off the heat inside and put the Jacket in the Closet...
Well I wasn't planning much of any outside activity anyway, I was thinking of planting out back Saturday
Cleaning out the Cucumber Bed and planting some seeds in there, but my back was hurting a bit again
I just can't work at anything very long before it starts to bother me a bit too much
The Morning ebbed away and I headed out into that cloudy blustery cold Morning at 9 a.m.
And Baby... it was COLD outside, that 42 Degrees sure felt cold to me anyway
And they said on the Forecast light rain but it wasn't doing that, at least yet
Saw Navru's car on the way so I headed to the Fast Stop, he was busy on his Phone with a relative
He does that a lot and when he does, doesn't have much time to chat so I got my Tickets
And hasta la vista, see ya later, home to only scratch off a mere $15, that sure won't do
And so, then called Pat to see if I could pick up her printer to take to Navru, she was ready
Up the Hill, around the Corner, up the Drive, she came out with the Printer, into my Car
Then down the Hill to the Fast Stop, traded in my $16 Win for more Lottos
The Printer tranferred to Navru's Car and I headed home to scratch off... Wait for it... $5... BAH! Humbug!
Noon Time, Sun Shining, looks good, doesn't feel good... windy and cold... well 50 degrees feels cold to me
And bored out of my gourd! Can't think of a thing to do at the moment...
So on into that long boring TV Afternoon and Evening
And then into the Evening and watching my TV Stuff, and what's that noise?
Peeked out the Door, and a real gully washer coming down, we got rain then some
Well we needed rain, but did we need that much? Back to TV and Dinner
So now to close the Day... That other old Song... Might as well say Goodbye to the Weekend with that
Well now, y'know I think I like that new English Flag I bought for the Girls upstairs better than they do
When I flip on the Window Cam to check the Weather it flies by to brighten up the Day
And when I do the same thing in the Living Room, the Window Cam there shows me my Missouri Flag
And it is casually waving at me too
So then a trip down to the Fast Stop again, a sleepy Navru cashed in my Winners and gave me some Trade-ins
Then I headed back up the Hill to the Price Chopper for some Candy and Peanuts... Healthy food ya know
First walked a block inside the store from the front door to the Candy and Bread department
Then walked another block from the Candy location to where they now hide the Nuts
And then another block or so back to the front to check out, wow... my long hike for the Day
I complained to the Cashier, the Nuts and Candy locations used to be maybe 10 feet apart
Now they are a block apart and both a block from the front of the store, really efficient for an old geezer
I trotted out front to check things on that Windy and Sunny Afternoon and what's this?
There's that Union Jack down on the ground again, what's gong on anyway? Well that wind again
But this time instead of bending the Pole, if lifted the Pole apart, one part still in the Holder
The Pole is about Six feet long, Three Two foot sections stuck together, Two still holding the Flag
So I pulled the bottom section from the Holder, put the Pole back together again
And wait until that brisk Wind dies down before setting the Pole back in the holder... Wah Lah!
And at 9 a.m. Headed back to the Fast Stop to trade in my last $15 worth of Winners
And wearing my new Lotto T-Shirt... Hola Gringo... Como se va? Gimmee sme winners1
I got 7 new Scratchers and 5 new 'Show Me Cash' Draw Tickets, won a dinky $2 on the Draw Ticket
But it could (and could not) win a BIG one on the Evening Draw... Never have yet though
Then Home to try my Scratchers, First one HAH! $5 Winner, Second one HAH! $15 Winner!
Third one HAH! Another $5 Winner... But then... Four losers in a Row, Oh well, can't win 'em all
Look what I found on Facebook, me leading the Parade with an apt description of Me!
Yeah, I don't follow, I lead and don't care if anyone follows or not
Then a little fine tuning on the Birdbath Fountains out front, clogged a bit with tree fallings
Filled them and set them to bubbling for the Birdies again
That done, time to head out for Lottos and a super sale price on Laundry Detergent
A big $3.00 Bottle for 99 Cents, lots of clean clothes for a Dollar there
Then home to scratch off $20 in Wins, then hauled Pat's new Printer up the Hill
She came out to carry it in, I carried the Power Cord, Install CD and Instructions
Up the stairs to the room her Printer was in... And we started the Install
She read the Instruction sheet and performed most of the install operations
With a little verbal assistance from the Computer expert Technician that came along for the ride
Finally wrapped up, printed a Photo to test... It worked... Then time to head out to the Fast Stop again
Not too busy at the Fast Stop so a lot of chatter with Navru about this and that
Then I traded in my $20 win, bought a new load of Tickets, then Navru gave me a MO Lotto T-Shirt
And says 1986, the year before I retired, been playing Lottos now for 33 Years
Headed home with my new possibles, and then only scratched off a $15 Win
A loss for the Day but overall the last Three Days were fairly productive
OK, let's go catch up on TV and find something for Dinner later, wish I had a Maid and Cook
OK, that done... Time to trade in that $50 worth of Lotto winners before they get cold
Back to the Fast Stop to try again... Traded for new Lottos, some chat with Navru
And then the Lady from the Mo Lottery came in with a big Box of new Lottos
She delivered them behind the Counter then gave Navru some instuction about a new Lotto offer
And... We were all chatting tgether, she asked me if she could take a Photo of me with my Lottos
Well of course I would like the possibility of appearing on their Web Site (as famous as I am)
So Navru took a Photo of us, first with her Phone and then with Mine, here it is for you to admire
And on into the Afternoon waiting for Amazon to deliver Pat's Printer I ordered
The Truck showed up around 3:30 p.m. I unlosded the big Box to check the Instructions
Noticed they did not include a Printer Cable in case she to wanted to connect it that way
But I just happened to have three Cables here AHA! Then I called Pat to tell her it was here
So called to announce the arrival, installation is scheduled for Thursday some time
I will tote that Machine up the Hill and Install it for her if she wants me to
A Printer ain't the easiest thing to get going ya know
So that was about it for the Day, the usual rundown and closing of a kinda bizzy Day at that!
Oh yes, something for Wednesday... Got an Email from AT&T saying my 'Fiber' will be hooked up on Wednesday
That's what they were doing out front a few Months ago when they cut off my Internet for Four Days
I get 24 mbps Internet now, supposed to go to 100 mbps and cost me $10 a Month more
And so... 7 a.m. That time again, all done with my Computer stuff and my Cup is empty
I did very well on Lottos for Monday, wouldn't it be great if I did better today?
Not sure what would be the better place to try today... well I won most at the Fast Stop
So I am thinking maybe Machine once again at the Price Chopper, that's their busiest Machine
And out into that cloudy and cool Morning to head to the Price Chopper, traded in $35 of Winners
Bought $30 worth of new Scratchers and $10 worth of 'Show Me Cash' Draw Tickets
Back to acratch off a $15 Winner then Checked my Draw Tickets, won $6 on those
And of course could win more on the Drawing later...
And then I got a call from Pat, a boring cool Day so she wants to come over to visit
Well I see she hasn't been here since March 29 so a lot 'nuthin much' to catch up on
So of course the Morning's Winners are not enough if I still have Winner Money so here we go to the Fast Stop
At the Fast Stop, Navru in another good mood and talkitive and we had a great discussion
Of course we didn't come to any agreement, that's the way the Ball bounces but we try
I told him I would come back to haunt him in 20 years to see if he changed his opinion by then
Then I traded in my $15 Winner, bought $30 more and headed home to just win $5... Nutz!
And... Then just piddle around until Visitor time, that was around Noon-Thirty, knock, knock, knock
'Come in, Well, Well, Well, look who's here... Haven't seen you in many a Year'
'If I knew you were coming I da baked a Cake, Baked a Cake, Baked a Cake'
'If I knew you were coming I da baked a Cake, How ja do, How ja do, How ja do'
Time ran down to 4 p.m. plus, time for Pat to head up the hill to feed the Puppy, time for me to find Dinner
Then my every evening wind down time, kept going to 9 p.m. plus and headed for sleepy time
6:20 a.m. and Ho Hum all over again, got up too early and my Computer stuff all done and I AM BORED!
Was thinking yesterday I needed to water the Plants again but maybe we got enough rain to take care of that
My Radish plantings out back would like a nice wetting down I would think, haven't checked in a Day or two
Nothing to be done out front now except find a place to set those Marigold Pots
AHA! Just thought, I have one small Tomato plant left in one AeroGarden in the Kitchen
The 'Add Nutrient' Light just came on, maybe I can just pot it and take it out front...
That will leave nothing left on the Kitchen Shelves except the new Morning Glory Planting
Now... 7:30 a.m. Found something to do, update two Videos I am working on with new Screenshots
One with my Gardening efforts, the other just with other changes and happenings around here
Just stuff for me to remember and some to bore anyone else with that may happen to watch...
Oh well, something to do, that I like to do
And so... off to the Price Chopper at 9 a.m. Needed a couple Items besides my Lottos
Traded in $54 of Winner Lottos and bought $35 more, back home to scratch off only a $15 Win
Then time for the start of the Days Gardening... Not much to do really... That Tomato Plant move
Popped it out of the AeroGarden then out front and put it in a Pot all ready for it
Set it beside Three other Tomato Plants from other Aerogardens and now, when do we get Tomatoes?
Then I set the Four Marigold Pots I planted on Sunday here and there around the front... Then Break Time!
Well I couldn't settle for that $15 Win, I ain't broke for the Month quite yet
I won $65 worth of Lottos from the Fast Stop Sunday, I should wait a day or two to try again
But I like to go there to chat and what the heck, Navru might have another lucky one for me today
So back to the Fast Stop, Navru busy with Trucks bringing in new Supplies, but he stopped to sell me my Lottos
Then headed home to work my new ones... any good ones? Lessee, a $5 Win, another $5 Win, then a $15 Win
And WOWEE LOOK AT THAT ONE! Very nice, a $100 Win and time to quit for the Day with that $125
So what's the Weather for Sunday anyway? Would be hard to beat Saturday except be a bit warmer...
Well... a better start at 58 Degrees, yeah... And saying Sunny... Yeah! And heading to 82... Oh WOW!
OK, 7:30 a.m. What now, my Computer stuff all finished and boredon beginning to set in...
Feels like this is going to be a long long Day, all day... What to do? Well get some new Soil
I need a Trip to Larry's but I think he is closed on Sunday, even if open it would be crowded
One tip on shopping at Larry's... Don't head over there on Saturday if you don't want to wait on check-out
So, sun up nicely, around 9 a.m. a 'Quick Trip' down to the 'Fast Stop'... And then a long stay at the Fast Stop
A lot of chat with mi Amigo Navruzbek and customers, and some Easter talk with Navru
Then picked my Lottos and headed Home... Worked a nice $20 Win, then needed some stuff at Ace Hardware
Navru had mentioned he needed some CDs while I was there, well I don't use them now and had a nice stack
So I took him those on my way to Ace, Traded in my $20 Winner for more Tickets, then up the Hill to Ace
There I picked out Three 4-Packs of Marigolds, a 40 Pound Sack of Potting Soil and an Easter Gift!
They had a big Table full of FREE Easter Lilies for Customers, I picked out a nice one
And then back Home again to scratch off $45 in Lotto Wins, and is this a nice Easter or what?
And then out front to plant my Gift Lily in a nice big Pot, looking good and 'The Price was Right'
Then I got my Cart to haul the Soil out of my Car and on to the Porch, too heavy for me to lift
Got my Four Pots and sat down to plant Nine of the Twelve I bought and then ran out of Potting Soil
So, back again to Ace (the Place)... to get anther Sack, did that and headed back
Getting plenty warm out there by then, hauled out my new Sack and planted my last Pot
Now where to set them, here or there or over there?
Anyway, up and at 'em at 6 ayem on Saturday Morning at 49 Degrees... (outside)
Saya Sunny and heading to 75 Degrees, now that should be very nice, yes ma'am... I like Sunny Days
And again will be nicer if I can find something fun to do besides look for Lotto Winners
But first... The wind has been wrapping the new English Flag around it's pole, can't have that
What to do? Hah! Tie it to a string from the big Flower Pot, that should do it
Well, let's go look for Lotto Winners first... This time back to the Price Chopper
Traded in a $10 Scratcher Win and $7 in 'Show Me Cash' Wins, been winning a tiny bit on them lately
Bought $6 in Show Me Cash Tickets and $25 in Scratchers, won $6 back on Show Me Cash instant Winners
And $45 on Scratcher Winners... And the Show Me Cash Tickets are still good for the Night Drawing
And on again to a Gorgeous Day with no plans how to use it up, well something might pop up
Took a walk out back to check things, no sign of any Radish pop-ups yet... If?
Then a hike on up the Hill to take a look at my fallen Bench, heaved it over to take a look
Well yeah, fixable with a few Screws but later, see if my back gets any better
I only sat on it up there it a few times all last Year anyway
OK, still a beatuiful Day out there but time to set out some Dinner and do a TV catch up
And that I did and wound up a pretty nice Day overall. some fun and some productivity too
So Goodbye Saturday and hope Sunday will be even better
Only thing planned so far is to run down to the Fast Stop to show Navru the $40 winner he gave me
Cash that one in and try for a better one to end the Week, now excuse me for Coffee and Puzzles >>>
OK, that's done, and the Crossword Puzzle in record time, me getting smart or what? Just easy words I guess
The jumble took a bit longer than usual, some weird words today...
Sun beaming in my Window now, and not much needed out front today, lots out back but... ya know...
Breakfast time but not Hungry, guess it's time to put on my Shoes and head down to the Fast Stop and get rich
And a happy time at the Fast Stop, Navru was in another good mood, and the Customers were friendly
Especially a couple of Mexicans I was talking to in Spanish and singing along with one of them...
Aye Aye, Aye Aye... Canta y no llores! So then got my Lottos and headed back, still Sunny but still cool
And boo hoo hoo... only a dinky $5 Winner when I was in the mood for a new Mercedes!... Woe is me
So then, time to do something worth while, well to a minute degree anyway, set some strings
Clipped all the old Vines off the Strings, had to hook up a couple new Strings
Then set the Hooks in the Pots and away we go, climb Vines... Now climb!
So what's the Weather, hmmmm, not as warm as Wednesday, we got some T-Storms overnight
48 Degrees at 8 a.m. only heading to 62 and partly Sunny, well, ya can't have it all, obviously
Well now, I do NOT like Vertical shots from Phone Cams but now and then it's best
Like the last view of my frst Morning Glory try in the Kitchen, tall Vines but not a wide view
So please excuse my Vertical shot... If you will be so kind...
And then new Morning Glory plants that need to be led to the Strings to climb to the Stars
Into the Afternoon, getting bored, that's when the Lotto bug bites again, $10 Win not enough
So a stop at the ATM, then back down the Hill again, 'Dubra Dien' again to Navruzbek... Hola Gringo!
Griped about my dinky $10 win, cashed it in, bought $25 more and headed Home Sweet Home
And then... lookee that! HAH! A nice $40 Win, followed by a so-so $10 Win, lookin' better
And back in, time to sip some of my 'imitation' Wineand do another TV News catch up
I do wish they would just shut up about that dam REPORT! Just fire Trump and get on with something important
Then another TV Finish to the Day, getting bored with Amazon Prime now... Oh well...
Another fine Day for Tuesday, what do we get Today? Looks good at the moment... 65 Degrees at 8 a.m.
But saying Cloudy and T-Storms later, well, do we need some Rain on my new Garden?
Well I must be starting off 'bright' this Wednesday Morning, completed my puzzles in record time
And like I posted to Wayne Frazier on Facebook... "It is not that I am always right... It is that I am never wrong"
Then I played him my theme song...
Well now, Noon Time and no Rain yet... I hit the Fast Stop for my Lottos and only won $15
Need some Glucerna, so heading back to the Price Chopper and trade for more Winner Lottos
Got my Lottos and Glucerna and headed back, then worked my new 'Winners' for Losers
And then what to do? No rain yet so I trotted around back to do some Gardening
I had some Radish Seeds so I thought I would see if I could get a crop this year, they don't do good for me
I pulled the old Plants out of the Bed, raked over the Soil and scattered the Seeds around
Now see if that try does anything, not too hopeful of planting much back there this year
Back home, unloaded my goodies, found a couple of Planters, had a seat and planted 4 of the Gerbenas in each
Set them out in the Yard, well that's a start, decided to wait to plant the rest
So what to do today? Maybe get my shaggy locks trimmed at the Barber? Maybe plant the Radishes?
No Medical appointements so far, want to get an Eye check soon, maybe next month though
I do have Two Medical Appointments in May, one to check my Pacemaker at NKC Hospital
The other a routine Visit to my Primary Doc to check my 'Vitals'...
So, you couldn't beat the Weather on Monday, except be a bit less windy, what's for Tuesday?
Wow! 61 Degrees at 6:30 a.m. then partly Sunny and heading to 78 for a very warm Top Temp
And now at 7 a.m. That pause that does not refresh, all done with my Computer stuff
And the eternal... 'Now What?'... Long Day ahead, no big plans, well just a couple ideas
Hair Cut, buy Lottos, plant Radishes... then what? Ohhhhhh, don't tell me... maybe back to Larry's?
Well before that, put that Laundry Load in the Dryer and then get a shower and shampoo
9:30 a.m. Oh yeah... Feels so good with a Shower, Shampoo and Shave and into clean clothes to face the Day
Time to head out into that 'partly Sunny' Morning for the Shear Palace and their 'Beauty' treatment...
Try to make me look as good as I feel, (well my back isn't hurting yet)... off to the Day!
At the 'Palace' had two Customers ahead of me but didn't have to wait too long...
Some chatter and clipping and I was all done and prettied up and headed around the corner to the Price Chopper
Traded in my Winners, got some potentials and headed home to scratch off $15 in Winners... Oh well
Then I trotted out back to get the AeroCart, back around front to load the Rose Bush cuttings in
Then all ready for the trip to the Gully to dump them when the mood hits
Then poured my Apple Juice and went to work updatng my Blog for Sunday, finshed that and put the Coffee on
And just about that time the Program had finished so I could start on that Video again
Well before starting that, let's check the Weather for this fine Day... (I'm optimistic)
Not bad... 44 Degrees at 7 a.m. and heading to a glorious 'Mostly Sunny' 74 Degrees, just fine with me
OK then, let's load that new Video take into the Computer and get with the program...
AHA! Now 7:45 a.m. Video finished and rendering... Dayum... ain't I efishent?
Yep, well let's pour a cuppa Coffee and then work today's online Puzzles while the Video Renders
OK,Puzzles done, now what? Video half way through rendering... well it's 30 Minutes long
Sun shining, Temp warming up, some planting today? Thinking of heading to Riverside and Larry's Nursery
Have 9 big Pots to start with, not sure with what though, some Coleus for sure, Cannas maybe?
And Impatiens? Larry's didn't have the kind I usually buy last year, and the sub didn't do as well
Maybe he will have the kind that does better? Hope so, anyway, I'll check around
Anyway, here's that new Channel 4 Parkville Video, wait to see it on my TV, it's 30 minutes long
Looks better on the TV anyway and I hope the sound is better too, not so good this time
And next door to the Price Chopper for you know what, $25 worth of Scratchers
And did pretty well for the Day, so far, $40 in Winners to go back and lose
And then Amazon delivered a Package while I was away, and what's in the Package?
Well now, my Missouri State Flag I had out front faded away and I decided to replace it with a new One
And the Englsh Flag the girls hung on the Deck was faded and ragged too
So I thought I would buy them a new 'Union Jack'
And unpacked them and hung them up to blow in the Breeze... Purdy... HUH?
So, a little rest and a little TV and back out to sit in the warm and enjoy the Afternoon
Then back inside to hook up the Hose, back out to water everything from end to end
And back in again, to set out 'What's for Dinner', pour some Juice and do a News Catch up
And that is about all she wrote for a great Weather Day on Monday
The Morning stuff done, the Sun up nicely, time to head out, where to? The Fast Stop this time
Hola Grngo, que te pasa? Gimmee some Lottos, got some Lottos and lots of chatter and headed back
Had a pre-breakfast Glucerna sip and worked my lottos for a $5 Win! You kidding? I want winners!
So, back by the ATM for a recharge and back down the Hill again to cash in my $5, buy some more
And back home once again, to work my new Lottos, slightly better, $25 this time, and time to find something to do
Well when checking the Net earlier I saw that Channel 4 had a special Program about a trip to Parkville
Thought that might be interesting so I set my TV to record the Program, maybe make a Video
So when I got back I set my Video Camera up to copy the TV Program, then loaded it into my Computer
Then to the Time Line in the Video Editor to make a Video... Played with it a bit and oops
I didn't have the Camera aimed quite right and it cut off some of the Picture, so, try again
This time I thought I would try using my Phone Cam, as it has a larger Screen to aim with
Then set that to record the Program again and back to the Computer to try the Edit again
So that take looked pretty good and I added it to the Timeline, then played it back and ooops
The Phone captured the TV at a very slight angle and there was a line at the top of the picture
Well, not enough that most would notice or care but I did so, try again later
The rest of the Day was just the usual humdrum but overall a nice Day with lots of TV
Managed to stay up until 9 p.m. again, pulled the plug and headed to Dreamland
And my Dreams were more interesting than the TV, sure wish I could record a few of those Trips
Anyway, I finished up Sunday nicely and now ready for Monday and a new week
