Got there a little early as usual but then the wait was short... The girl came in the Door... "Donald?'
Yes Ma'am, here I am... and followed her to the torture chamber, a few questions and then Mary, the N.A. came in
The usual poking around, more questions and then she reached for her Weapon and began firing
Zip... Zap... Right Arm, Left Arm, then Forehead, Cheek One and Cheek Two, was she trying to empty the Chamber on me?
Even more on the top of my Head, she must have fired that thing 30 times, more than ever
And that stuff does STING! And the hurt does not fade away fast either, just tapers off a bit
They call it 'Cryosurgery' which means 'Freezing with liquid Nitrogen' but it feels more like Burning... OUCH!
She finally ran out of gas and I checked out and headed back, stopped in the Fast Stop to cry with Navru
Some chit and chat, got my Lottos and headed back home, still hurting, and I took a couple Aspirin to see if that would help
OK... Then a belated trip out back, I saw some Cucumbers on Wednesday that should be ready on Thursday... yeah they were
And a final Goodbye to the Female Bud I was hoping for, turned Yellow, didn't drop off yet but it's gone
But I picked another Six nice Cucumbers, looked like another Dill Pickle Day then, will get at that
And I need to get back out there first thing on Friday Morning to give those Plants another watering
So then the time slipped away to Pickle time, that doesn't take long, I mixed the Brine, put it on to simmer
Then cut the Cukes into 'Spears' and slipped them into the Jars, this time One and a Half Pints of Spears
And then some of the bent ones into Slices for another half Pint of Sliced Dills
That was really all the action for the Day, set out some BBQ Ribs and BBQ Beans and Cuke Slices for Dinner later...
Then caught up on the News with my Margarita, then an early Episode of Breaking Bad, then a Movie with Dinner
Talk about the same old, same old, Afternoon and Evening... yeah.. every Day it seems
Anyway... a pretty fair Day except for the Morning torture... No more Medical now stuff until October 9th
And no plans except for watering again for Friday Morning... off we go!
And back at the Drivel report again at 10:45 a.m. and gonna be another long dull Day
I wish I had a couple Thousand to waste over at the Casino, haven't been there for a couple Years at least
Anyway, Off to the Price Chopper for Lottos, spent $20, won back $5.... that ain't gonna do it
Back to the Fast Stop for $20 more and lost all of it... But had some Chat with Navru...
He really does like my Galaxy S8 Plus, he has an iPhone 7 but he sees how much better my Galaxy is
So back Home, I headed out back to water everything, picked One nice Cucumber, looks like maybe more Tomorrow
Cucumbers and Peppers have been my best Crops out back this Year, already thinking of next Season
OK... 11:30 a.m. Time to start on the Sweet Potatoes... Peeled them all, sliced them up
Into a Pot to simmer a few Minutes, then a Stick of Butter in a Pot, a Cup of Brown Sugar
A teaspoon of of Cinnammon, a teaspoon of Nutmeg, the Potatoes into a Dish, the Syrup on top
The Dish into the Oven and.... Twenty Minutes later, looking great!
So what goes good with Sweet Potatoes? Ham of course, so back to the Price Chopper
They had 1/4 inch thick huge Ham Steaks on Sale... I got two of those and a few other things
Back home I cut each of the Ham slices into six servings, as I said they were huge!
I packaged Five for the Freezer, left one in the Fridge for Dinner later
Then it was time to mix my Margarita, headed out front to feed the Cat and watch the Birdies
Back in to start the TV early, with another Episode of 'Breaking Bad', that is just an absorbing show
When that was over, out to the Kitchen to fry up a Ham Steak and dish up some Sweet Potatoes
And those freshly harvested and Candied Sweet Potatoes were just plain very good!
And I have enough left for several more tries at them, good crop!
Back to the TV for some Music and then off to Bed and more of those fascinating Dreams I dream up!
Well there's always 'Libby's' canned Pumpkin which tastes really good but not something I can brag about
Not many Tomatoes this Season either, just a few small green ones still on the Vines, just had a few now and then
But plenty of Cucumbers for my needs and some to give away and make gifts of some of the Pickles
And then some Breakfast and a concoction I dreamed up on Monday Afternoon... I has two Bananas fully ripe
And I didn't want them to get overripe so what to do with them? Make some good Banana Pudding
I had some Cool whip in the Fridge, put some of that in a small Casserole, then some Raisin Oatmeal Cookies
Some Cool Whip over the Cookies and then a layer of Sliced Bananas, then more Cookies, more Bananas
And a final level of Cool Whip to top it off and in the the Fridge overnight...
Dished out some of that for Breakfast and in my Not-SO-Humble Opinion... that's a Winner!
On to Noon time and back out to water everything in front... and it needed it... and I did it
And then what? well how about those Sweet Potatoes that may be hiding in that big Pot?
First... take down the Vines from up on the Deck, then dig out the Sweet Taters.. if any
Clipped the Strings, clipped the Vines and they all fell dowm, then cut them away from the Trellis
Took the Trellis out of the Pot, started digging for Taters, looked lke most were in the Bottom
So I flipped the Pot, dumped the Soil and started hunting for the Sweet Potatoes, found Ten, all shapes and sizes
I think that was the Count I got last year but had bigger Ones, anyway these will make a couple meals
And again that was about it for Tuesday... another partly busy Day, got a few things done
Then the finish of the late Afternoon and evening, did stay up an hour longer and got a better sleep
Just need to do that every Day, just stay up longer, need to find beter Movies ot something...
Mid Week ahead, and maybe cook up those Sweet Taters
A Missouri Agricultural Site agreed with what I thought and gave a few Tips... I'll try those next
They advised: "Pulling or cutting the vines two to three days before digging will toughen the skins"
And also help reduce skinning of the sweet potatoes while Harvesting" Well I just dug them up last year
Also I did that the first Time I had a Harvest from the Pot, when was that anyway? A few Years back... 2014
So I went ahead and clipped off all the Vines from the Potatoes I planted, then to wait a couple Days and dig them up
And Monday, Monday, another cool start at 62 Degrees at 6 a,m, but going to 81 later, some nice weather so far
So what's on the agenda? Had my Juice, finished and posted Sunday's Blog... Next Coffee and Crossword
Then out and up the Hill to check the Female Pumpkin Bud and now getting a little concerned with it
Several Days now, it has not Bloomed and it seems to be turning a slight yellow color
The first Female Bud turned yellow and dropped off, it this one doomed to the same plight?
On a slightly brighter note, I noticed a new wild Flower Garden way up on the Hill
I climbed up the Mountain to get a Photo, Looks kinda purdy... Don't it?
Then back down to the Garden beds, didn't expect any Cucumbers but found Three more to pick
Two little Fatties and one Monster that was hiding on top of the Cucumber Cage
I didn't need any more at the moment so I thought I would take them down to Navru at the Fast Stop
So then off to the Fast Stop at 8:30 a.m. for my Lottos and my Cucumber Gift to Navru
Gave him the Cucumbers, traded in $27 worth of Winners, bought $20 more, then won a $2 Show me Cash
Back home to scratch off $15 in Winners, then some breakfast, tried my fresh Rhubarb Sauce on Toast
And it was quite tasty as usual, then what? A long Day ahead... back out front again
This time to dump Three Plants from the Pots... that time again, Two Jalapeno Plants One Pickling Pepper Plant
Dug out the Plants then set the Pots on the Porch, what's the next to go, well as they finish, they are finished
That took me to 10:30 a.m. Now what to do? As I said, going to be a long long Day again
And on through the Morning with this and that and then back to check my Email and Facebook
A friend had posted a 'Share a Link' to 'All Recipes.Com'... And so I posted my last try at Ratouille
So that gave me an Idea, I had that little Eggplant out front, and a Tomato and some Peppers and Cucumbers
I needed some Olive Oil, Grated Parmesan Cheese and a couple more Tomatoes, so back to the Price Chopper
Then out back to pick some Peppers and Cucumbers and in front to pick the Eggplant and I was ready to start
Some Slicing, Cubing and Sauteeing and finally Baking, and my latest try was ready for Dinner
Toasted up a slice of my Home Baked Bread, plated up a helping of my latest Ratatouille and back to the TV
Well now, full of good healthy fresh Veggies, pretty tasty but with sfter this latest Third or Fourth try...
Just not quite my Favorite way of preparing my Home Grown Egplant... just can't beat my Oven fried crispy slices!
What now? Another Tuesday on the way?
And, on my Galaxy S6 I found I had to turn the Phone off for it to charge on the Wireless Charger
With the S8 Plus you just set it on the Charger Disk and away it goes, a bit more handy that way
And it seems to be spying on me... First thing this Morning it says... "It seems you went to bed at 6 p.m."
"Would you like to set a reminder?"... No! I go to bed when I feel like it, I have no set Schedule
Checking th Weather at 7:15 a.m. then, a bit chilly at 65 Degrees... But heading to 82 in the Afternoon
Nothing needed doing out back, but I wanted to check again on that Pumpkin Bud, headed out then
And the Pumpkin Bud looked pretty much like it was on Saturday Morning, will we get a Pumpkin or not?
Then I saw a few more nice Cucumbers, two about Maximun size for that type of Cucumber
These are 'Straight Eight' Cucumbers, and 8 Inches is the largest they should be allowed to grow
If larger they get too many hard seeds and lose some of that fresh Taste
Back out again a little later to attack that Rhubarb Plant again, time for some more Sauce
That stuff is sweet, tart and tangy and makes a good Breakfast with some buttered Toast
So I clipped all the biggest Stems, then clipped off the Leaves, then Stems chopped and into the Rinse
Next into Pot with some sugar, simmer until tender and that is all it takes for a good Sauce
And then a busy time until about 1 p.m. I decided to make some more 'Dill Spears' with the new Cucumbers
But I needed a couple things to do that so I headed to the Price Chopper, Jar Lids for one
I got some Glucerna Energy Drink, my Jar Lids and some Spices and headed back, saw Pat in her Yard
Stopped to ask her how she liked the last Dill Spears I gave her, she said Great! Want some more? Sure!
So on down the Street and around the Corner and back to the Pickle Factory and started in
So easy to do but takes a little time, first Sterilize a few Jars then make the Brine...
Then cut the ends of the Cukes to size, then into 'Spears' and then into the Jars, pour in the Brine
Set the Lids on, screw on the Caps, then ready to cool and meld a few Days in the Fridge
While that was going on my Rhubarb Sauce was simmering away, just Sugar and Rhubarb is all that takes
And about the time the Pickles were done the Sauce was ready to put in a Jar and then into the Fridge
Just might have some of that for Breakfast in the Morning
So a busy and productive and fun (for me) Morning... That took me intil about 2 p.m. Then... delivery Time
I put a Jar of the Previous batch of Dills that Pat liked in a Sack, added a Jar of the New ones
Then a Baggy of nice fresh Cucumbers I had in the Fridge and tooled back up the Hill to her place
Beeped the Mercedes at her, she came out on the Lawn, I handed her the 'antique' Sack of Goodies
She was amused by the Sack, one from the Old 'Apple Market' that I patronized in Parkville in 2000
And when was that anyway? I checked online, it was Closed in 2003 and torn down to be replaced by the Price Chopper
So I was surprized to find that bag in my Pantry and Pat was surprized to see it
She thanked me for the new goodies and then I headed back down the Hill to finish out my busy Day
She thanked me for the new goodies and then I headed back down the Hill to finish out my busy Day
And then one last pending Project showed up in late Afternoon, I'll start with that on my Monday Drivel report
Then the Day ended pretty much as usual, Cocktail, Dinner, Wine and TV, ending another nice Day
Checked the Female Pumpkin Bud, looked about the Same as on Friday, a couple more Days maybe?
Then I checked the Paw Paws I have been watching up in the Trees, ooops, one missing
I found it on the Ground, I read that they fall off when ripe... And that one was overripe, very soft
Then I reached up and grabbed the Branch, and the Second one fell off, then a Third one on another Branch
So if I am still around next year I think I know when to check them for Harvest, online it said October
So then back inside, I split one of the Paw Paws and got a Photo, one looked overripe
I took a little taste of the other one, they say tastes like a cross between a Banana and Mango
Well sort of, sweet and tangy but full of big Seeds and I didn't want to try the whole thing and tossed it
Then just another long long and not much going on Day, all Day, OK but nothing to write about of any interest
Same Afternoon and Evening as usual, Ho Hum... too much Hurricane News... so... Old Movies again
A Burger with my home Grown Tomato slices on it, Another Glass of Wine and off to bed way too early
Caught a Photo of my new Holly Bush, lots more red Berries on there now
But of course they are only to look at and decorate with... not to eat
Back out again later to pull all the Swiss Chard plants, cut off the Roots, bring in the Stems and Leaves
Rinse and trim to store in the Fridge and then later some sauteed Swiss Chard for Dinner again
This wll be the Last Chard of the Season, plan to plant Radishes where the Chard had been
I have an eye on the Rubarb, also, will harvest another batch of that when the Mood hits and that will be soon
Well then I started on the Chard in the early afternoon, all rinsed and trimmed, I decided to saute it
I didn't have any Bacon Fat and ran out of Oilve Oil, wanted something with a little more flavor tht Peanut Oil
But I did have a Pound block of Manteca, Know what that is? Lard... good old Pig Fat...
People used to use it to fry everything, no one now... It is a must for making Masa Dough for Tamales though
Anyway it would work OK for sauteeing my Chard, into the Pan with it, then the Chard, wilted it down
Then some chopped Onions and Bacon, Salt, Pepper and a Tablespoon or so of Vinegar to pep it up
Let all that meld together until all the Chard was looking good, then set aside for Dinner
So on to an old Afternoon Move and a Margarita, was watching a Gunfight in the Movie and then what's all that noise!
Louder than the Movie! What's going on out there anyway? Peeked out to see that huge Truck was back and close up
Finishing up the Concrete next door, and making a lot of noise doing it, had to get a Photo
Time slipped on toward Dinner Time, baked a Tater, hotted up some BBQ Pork, dished up some Swiss Chard
Poured a Glass of Vino Tinto and that all went down well to finish off Friday... On to the Weekend...
Then some Breakfast and then what to do for the rest of what looked like a long Day?
Lots going on in the Neighborhood, the Concrete guys were up at the top of the Hill making more noise
And the Carpet Man and the Maintenance Man were working next door making more noise
So I guess I could go out and make some noise too, that Pebble mess next Door bothering me
There is a sort of 'Drain' in the center of my Yard and the one next Door, the Pebbles tend to flow out
I had put a large Stone in the one in front of my place, none in the one next Door
That worked pretty good for me, thought I would try one next Door, swept and raked the Pebbles up first
Then dragged a big Stone to block the Drain there, raked the pebbles back from that, now looks better
That was enough of that, the Day dragged on into the Afternoon, a gorgeous Day, Sunny and 72 Degrees
Seems that 'Fall has Fell'... When does Autumn Officially start anyway, last couple Days sure has felt like it
Well as usual, want to know something, check the Internet and "Autumn starts again with the autumnal equinox on September 22
Welcome in the fall season on the first day of fall!" So see there!
And then a huge Concrete Delivery Truck started bringing Loads to the new Repair Sites all over the place
Finally ending up at the bottom of the Hill and next Door to me, that's the biggest Truck like that I have seen!
And then that was all the excitement for the Day, Margarita and TV time again and then, what's for Dinner?
Well now, I had peeled and sliced some Cucumbers, made some vinaigrette to spice them up, cooling in the Fridge
And I found some of the last BBQ Spareribs in the Freezer, add some BBQ Beans and that made a good Feast to end the Day
One whole Week of September gone already... when will it Snow?
On the way back in I saw the tiny 'Pickling Peppers' in the Pot had another Crop ready to pick
I pickled all the largest ones which were still tiny, brought them in to rinse, trim and pickle
And then I did the same with the Two Pots of Jalapeno Peppers, already picked a lot off those two Plants
I have way more than I need, I don't use very many anyway and no one I offer them to want any of my surplus
And then I tackled the big Project of the Day which only lasted about an Hour, moving the Kitchen Shelves again
I decided to adjust the Shelf Height to make the AeroGardens easier to reach when I replant them again
I adjusted the Shelf on the Left so the Gardens could reach their maximum Height of 24 Inches
Then I moved the TV on the Right Shelf to the Top and adusted the second Shelf the same as the left one
Then it was time to head out to search for my Fortune again, this time to the Price Chopper
Picked up a few needed items, and my Lottos and headed back for the rest of the long Day ahead
Then sometime early I got a knock on the Door, a Workman asking if he could plug into my Electricity
They are doing a lot of Concrete work now, he needed Power for his Saw, Drill and Jackhammer
He said he would pay me, I didn't expect that anyway and I plugged him in for rest the Day
So then it was all Day of sawing, drilling and chunking Concrete into his Truck, making the place look better
When they finished their Day about 5 p.m. they were ready to unplug, then offered me money
I said that wasn't necessary, couldn't have cost much, but he insisted and gave me enough for a Lotto Ticket!
I didn't have much to do then so it was just coasting through the Afternoon to Dinner time
I mixed my Daily Margarita and sat out front on that sunny but not so watm Day watching the Hummingbirds again
Then it was back inside to start an early Movie watching Day again, on to Dinner, some Music and off to bed
Overall another pretty nice Day... That has pretty much been the rule most all Summer, now let's do another
So I did that... Water everything that is... And look what I found out back in the Pumpkin Patch
The second Female Bloom, see the potential Pumpkin below the Bud... Now... IF... This one doesn't fall off
Then as I was watering out front... I saw this big Mantis on a Celosia Plant, looked like 5 Inches long
That's the biggest one of those things I have ever seen!... WOW! Do they bite?
Then off to the Price Chopper to try my luck, not much there, only $10... still have some of Monday's Winnings left
So I went back to the Minit Mart, had that $10 Win and another from Monday not cashed yet
And I traded in the $15 in Winners and added a $10 Bill and got Five more Tickets...
Back Home then to scratch off a $5, $20 and a really nice $40 Winner... $75 for the Day so far
Moving right along then, I heard a knock on the Door, it was the Maintenance Manager with a big Box
He said he was wondering if I could use what's in there... looked... Canning Jars... Well Sure
Those things aren't exactly cheap and I didn't have any more of that Pint size like those
So see how I rate around here?... They treat me very well... Both the old and the new Management
And nothing much else to do for the Day so I rearranged some shelves in the Kitchen
Thinking ahead to when I might start up the AeroGardens again I wanted to make some changes
I had the big ones way up on the top Shelf and a bit hard to tend to... So I lowered a Shelf below
I had already made room for one below the TV, this time for two on the Shelf to the side of the TV
Now after that adjustment I like the positon of the two on the left, not so much on the Right, too low
After that I took some Food out to the Cat and then had my Margarita out with the Hummingbirds again
Next another early start on an old Movie, the Clock ticked on toward Dinner time and I hotted up a nice Meal
That ended up another fairly nice Day, now what? Wednesday already?
But now I have my new long awaited Galaxy S8 Plus to investigate and there is a lot to look into
I want to change the background on the Phone, thinking what to put on there, something better than the River on there now
That was better than the picture Samsung had on there, but I wanted something of my own, now something new
So what about my uploading Problem... I called my Web Host '1 and 1 Web Hosting' and told the Lady my problem
They had made three changes that caused my failure to connect... She told me what to change, I changed them
And then uploaded my Saturday and Sunday Blogs a Day late and all because they didn't notify me... BAD BAD!
And then off to another Sunny and warmer Day... Tally Ho! Hit the ATM and then down the Hill to the Fast Stop
Wanted to brag about my new Phone with Navru, and he did like it better than his, especially the Camera
Back then to scratch off $25 in Winners, at least a $5 Profit for the Day... And then what?
Well I had that $25 in Winner Tickets, let's try again, back this time to the Price Chopper
Got $25 worth of Tickets, back home to test my Luck, and whoopee! Won $80 this time
For the Day then, a $10, $15, $15, $15 and that Gorgeous $50... $105 in Wins for the Day
That was about all the excitement for the Day, The Cat was out front bugging me for Food
So I dished him up some Gizzards abd dry Cat Food, mixed me a Margarita and went out front
Fed the Cat and then sat out there watching the Hummingbirds flit in and out of the Feeder
A couple of other stray Cats have been trying to share my wild Cat's food so I chase them off until he's finished
Then it was old Movie Time again, after that some Enchiladas I found in the Freezer
And another Andre Rieu Concert to keep me awake as long as it cculd, then dream time all over again
And a small chore I did yesterday and forgot to add to Saturday's Blog, that old Bird House
Several years old and needed a Paint job, decided to do that, took it out of the Tree, emptied the Nests
But then after trying to clean it up some, decided too much damage and decided to just dump it
On to another 'Do nuthin Day', Ho Hum again, tried several times to upload my Saturday Blog
My FTP Program failing to connect, if this doesn't start working Soon I'll have to get another Program
Then I checked my Email... Got one from AT&T saying my Bill had been paid... AHA! Was waiting for that
That means I can trade in my Cell Phone for the new Galaxy S8 Plus... I could go anytime to get it, but...
Was waiting all Morning for Bob to come by for his Cucumbers and then go get Pat's Refrigerator
At 11:30 a.m. he had not shown up yet and I was getting impatient, I had told him to get here before Noon
And just then I heard a knock on my Door, he was finally here, so I loaded him up with my fresh Cucumbers
And some Relish and Pickles and then off up the Hill to Pat's place with him following
Pat showed him the Fridge, he looked it over real good and accepted the Price... Reel CHEEP!
So he has to some back with his Trailer to move it and I had to run to AT&T, just had to get that Phone
Then off to the AT&T Store, got there about Noon, and only One other Customer there
A Clerk met me at the Door, we went in and set about the Paper and Electronic work to get my new Phone going
That done I took off back home with my Prize,, and what a prize it is, all my files transferred to it
And I just have to get familiar with all the extra goodies it has... including 'Bixby'... He is smarter than Cortana!
So far I am not just 'whelmed' with it... Iam 'Overwhelmed!... Yeah I like this one...
And then... another early start on my TV afternoon with a tedious old Western I had seen a couple times before
But it had been a while so it was interesting again but semed to go on forever... 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'
Took a break for some Dinner and then finished up the Evening with another Andre Rieu Concert
On then to Labor Day and see if I can get this Drivel uploaded yet...
Then a jaunt to the Price Chopper, needed Cat Food and a couple other things and Four Lotto Tickets
And this time Three out of Four were Winners for a total od $31... But I want MORE!
Next a run out back, and lots more Blooms in the Pumpkin Patch, but still no Pumpkins...
And I saw several Cucumbers that will be ready to pick for tomorrow for my Friend Bob
Then picked two nice Tomatoes, to add the few Harvested, smallest Crop since I started the Gardens here
But at least I know what NOT to do next year, ease off on the 'Missouri Pruning'
And last on the way back in, a Photo of one of the Two little Eggplants I am watching
Looks like Three on that Plant and slowly growing and I am ready NOW, for some more Fries
And then what? Well now I had a $5 Winner Card from a Phillips Oil Promotion so I headed to the Minit Mart
Stuck my Card in the Pump for $5 of free Gas and then traded in $20 of my $31 Win for $20 more Tickets
And then back Home to scratch off another $20 in Wins, even up and not too bad a start on September
That was about of the Day to brag about... Into the Afternoon, decided to start on Dinner real early
I had those time Green Peppers, what to do with those? Well, had some Meatloaf in the Freezer too
So I Invented a new Dish... I cut up all the little Peppers, cut up some Onions, cut some Potatoes in little chunks
Then I brwoned the Potatoes in the Skillet, added the Onions and Peppers, then a hunk of Meat Loaf
Let that all meld into my latest Version of 'Throw it all in Hash'... Set that aside for later
Then it was Movie time, I made a rare (lately) 'Manhattan' and back to the TV for an old Western from TCM
That old Movie took forever, and on then into the Evening, hotted up my Hash, added a side of Sweet Corn from the Cob
And back to the TV again for that good Dinner and then some Music... long tedious Afternoon and Evening
That wound up a slow Saturday, and on to Sunday and see what we shall see then
Well I mean that is the next thing... after I go out back and water the Gardens real well, it's been some time
And I want to do that before I take my Shower in case I pick up any chiggers out there
Been lucky so far this Season, only got a half dozen or so 'itchees' from out back
Then out back at 8 a.m. Sun just peeking over the tall Trees in then Gully and still cool
First took a look for more Cucumbers and found some more nice ones, but I don't need any more pickles
Maybe I can find someone to take them off my hands? Got a couple Ideas there
And then I watered everything real well and headed back in to wash off any bugs I might have picked up,... I hope
Then it was time to head to the Price Chopper for some Cash from the ATM, buy my Lottos and head to the Shear Palace
The usual Barber was not there, a different Lady attacked my overdue Hair crop and it was different
It seemed to be she was not as exoerienced as the reguar one, differerent technique and took longer
It was a little shorter than I intended but she did do a prtty good job, feels better anyway
Next, took a hike up the Hill and around the Corner to take Pat some fresh Cucumbers and a Jar of the new Dills
She was ready for the Cucumbers she said, then showed me around the Kitchen for the latest progress
Back Home I thought I would go ahead and put my Flags out Friday for the Labor Day Weekend
I left the Missouri Flag out front but moved it over to one side, then put Three American Flags out
And took a Photo for Facebook, then thinking how the Flags were waving in the Breeze, how about a Video?
And then add a Patriotic March along with it to boot, hauled the Video Cam out front, recorded the Video
Then Edited the Video to fit the March Music and uploaded it to Vimeo... and burned a Blu-ray DVD
Seems it would fit a Parade better instead of Flags blwing inthe breeze, well anyway, I like it
And then again, on into the same old Afternoon and Evening, some good eats, boring TV and Movie and off to Bed
Then I mixed my Apple Juice and made my Coffee and attacked my Computer, aways first thing, to check the Bank
And it sure does look like a drought in there but should look Great on Friday with both IBM and SS Checks hitting
Then I will be rich for a Day until a couple Thousand in scheduled Bill Payments hit, and then back to Poverty
Well now, just may be that September will be my Month for the Big Lotto Win, been looking for it for 20 Years now
Then the Clock crawled around to watering time, I hadn't watered out front for quite a while, all that Rain we had
But for the last couple Days the Plants out front have looked kind of wilty, So I hooked up the hose and went at it
All watered nice and then back in for a little delayed Breakfast and what was next for the Day?
Well there wasn't much of anything 'next' for the last Day of August except wait for the First Day of September
Seems my Days have pretty well been finishing up about Noon time with just coasting after that, do I need a new Hobby?
Can't think of anything interesting for the present, just have to wait for an idea to move me a little
Anyway, it has been a pretty good cool Month of August and Summer is unofficially over on Monday
I guess I can hang out my Flags on Saturday and have a nice colorful Labor Day Weekend... ya spose?
