Bye the Bye... Haven't seen a lot of the Humming Birds this Year, maybe Three or four single Visits earlier
But sitting out there on Tuesday I saw one little Ruby Throat come by Four or Five times while I was out there
Started this Gorgeous Day out front watering all the Plants and then around back to do the same
Saw out back that it was time to tie up the Cucumber Vines and a couple of Tomato Plants needed another String
So I got my String and Clippers and went back out to do that, and then on the way back in did the same for the Sweet Potato
I Tied another String to the Sweet Potato Trellis for another Vine to climb, now about 5 or 6 Vines trying
And as I slipped on through the Afternoon I saw the little Ruby Throated Humming Bird again
He kept flitting in and out, lots more than usual lately, I thought it was time to post my Video again
I did post one of my Videos on Facebook early, the 'Downy Woodpecker' invading the Feeder
So now a repeat of the Ruby Throated male from some time back... Just for the Birds!
And off to the Races at 7:30 a.m. Traffic unusually light on this trip, made it in less than 15 Minutes
Checked in, had a seat, some Chat with a Lady waiting her turn, she was called in quickly
Not long after, my turn, I was so eager to get in that Room again... Got the usual Prep...
The Doctor will be in shortly, well not so shortly, but he popped in and got started, not too long and he was done
Off to the Patient Waiting Room for the later Judgement, a lot of friendly Chat going on, I was having a great time
And there were FOUR 'Donalds' waiting in that Room at the same Time, how often does that happen?
Finally about 9:30 or so, I was called back in and good news, got it all the first try again...
So then it was Cauterizing, and Sewing and Bandaging and then out came the Stitches from last Time
I thought this time would be easier than last but actually just a tad more tedious, a couple mild pain twinges
And then I checked out and headed back to Parkville... and stopped on the way back at the Fast Stop
Got some Tickets and a bit of Chat with Roos Beck and then headed Home to win $10... Oh well
And then, took a couple Tylenol just in case of pain after the Anesthetic wore off
Then shaved the whiskers off that had been under the Bandage and over the Stitches, then a Photo for the Record
So, that time of Month again, need to run over to I-435 to trade Lottos and pick up my Payment fron the Clerk there
And I headed that way just at 3 p.m. He starts work at 3 p.m. usually, then works the Night shift
So there, in less than 10 Minutes, walked in, he was at the Counter, then a big smile and then Oh Oh!
He said I forgot! Can you wait a couple days? Why Shore I ain't quite broke yet... Then he said come with me
Led me out the back Door, lookee there, a beautiful Black, like brand new Honda, just gorgeous, he finally got a Car
I though it was new, it looked so good inside and out but it was used and he got a great price
Again he apologized, said he would pay me soon... no problem, see ya then... and back then to Parkville
Nothing much after that except finish the Afternoon sitting out front, the Cat came by for Dinner
I went in to get him something, took it out, he attacked the Bowl, ate it all and wandered off
Lots of chat with Roos... and picture showing of my Blog... the ribs and all... He said he would be by at a little after 3 p.m
Now 9 a.m. after coming back from the Fast Stop to win nothing... this place is smelling wonderful.. Inside and out
Cherry Wood Smoke and Chicken and Ribs barbecuing, just Loverly... so what else is there to do? Not a clue
10 a.m. and getting warm out there, up to 71 Degrees and I got an Idea... don't I always?
But first I checked the Wood in the Smoker, needed another loglet so I added one back in
And then... those two remaining Pepper Plants in AeroGarden 7 had no place to go, just too tall for that Garden
Well that Sweet Pickling Pepper plant I moved outside is doing good, maybe these would too
So I took the Plants out of the Aerogarden into a Bucket to take out back along with my Trowel
Out back at the Pepper Bed, took the Gate off the Back, dug two deep Holes and set the Pepper Plants in
Then packed the Soil around the Stems and all set in their new Home... Hope they like it
And then back in at 10:30 a.m. that episode only took about Twenty Minutes... Now what next?
Well first... Cool off a bit, I worked up a sweat out back there in the hot Sun doing all that Digging
It was juat a little after 11:30 when I got back, time to get that stuff out of the Smoker
Brought it all in, wrapped the Chicken for later, it was done, then wrapped the Ribs and into the Oven
They say that Ribs take from Six to Eight Hours to cook properly, they were in the Smoker for Three and a Half
So I am figuring at least another Two Hours in the Oven at 250 Degrees should do it... I hope
The last time I smoked them they came out just great
And so... Time Marches On! 2 p.m. Time to check the Ribs in the Oven, looked done to a turn to me
I turned off the Oven, took the Ribs out, cut them into individual Ribs and then back in the Oven
I put the Ribs back into the Oven to hold Warm, heat turned off, I put the Chicken back too so it would stay warm
Then 2:30 p.m. Mixed my Margarita and went to sit outside on that Gorgeous Day until my Guest Arrived...
And then it was a long long SAfternoon of eating, when that was satisfied we watched a lot of TV, mostly my Vidoes
And finished up playing some of Andre Rieu in Concert, he likes Classical Music as I do
Finally at 6 p.m. it was time for him to head out for Home, I packed up some Chickan and Ribs to take with him
And then I wrapped up that long and pleasant Day with more TV and a Glass of Vino Tinto
Gorgeous Weather, Delicious BBQ Feast, Good Company and a Great way to Celebrate another Memorial Day!
Then on to a slow Day, with just fine Weather, I hooked up the Hose and took a walk out back to check things
The Tomatoes are still the Stars of the show, doing better than last year and lots of Blooms
The rest of the Plants are coming along but nothing outstanding yet, takes time and patience
So I watered everything out back including climbing up to the Bench and watering the Cannas there
Looks like a couple gave up and a few more are trying to make it, I am not expecting great results
Then I watered the Plants on the Side and then dragged the Hose out front, time for a break at 2 p.m.
A short Break and then out to Water everything out front, taking a break every five Minutes under my Umbrella
I noticed the 'Sweet Pickling Pepper' had a lot of little Peppers on it, hard to see in this Pohto but lots if them, all colors
Maybe if more turn Red I can get a better Photo... I got the watering done and went in to mix a Margarita
Hotted up another Cup of Coffee and worked my Scratchers, Hey Hey!... a $100 Winner!
Kept scratching and won a $5 Ticket and then a $15 Ticket... Headed back to the Fast Stop
So I stopped in the Price Chopper, back to the Meat Department and lookee there! They had some
So I picked up a pack and also some Chicken Thighs, they were on a super Sale
And then back to el Ranchito to scratch off one more dinky $5 win and went out to paint some more
Masking Taped the Black Trim, then painted the rusty Metalwork with Yellow Paint
And now I am not sure I really like that effect, OK, well wait a while, anyway done at Noon
Next I took the Ribs out of the Smoker, slathered them with KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce
And into the Oven for another Hour and a Half and then out to cool and get a Photo
And off to the Price Chopper at 8:30 a.m. Needed Juice, Milk, Vino Tinto and a look at Pork Spareribs
My Facebook friend Diane in California had remarked on an old Post of mine with Ribs on Sale a Year ago
She asked: 'You think you could do that again?', I said I'll check and the same Ribs were on Sale for the same Price again!
So I picked up a nice Five Pound Slab and maybe there will be BBQ on Saturday and the El Pato Ranchito!
Of course have to take a look at the Sweet Potato Vine... Wow! Now at 38 Inches and still climbing
And with a little help, the Vine decided to climb the String instead of the Trellis
OK then, 3 p.m. Time to get back to the Kitchen and put all that cooking stuff away and get back to the TV
So, the plan for the Day? Pretty well caught up with the Gardening, inside and out
Not much garden going on inside anyway, only two little Pepper Plants in AeroGarden 7 now
And I would put them outside if I had any enpty Pots but all are filled now except for one very small one
So, got the Computer running around done, jump in the shower, got the big Bandage off my cheek
Next headed out for P&G Hardware for some Paint and Brushes, needed some Yellow, Black and some Wood color Paint
Then when the weather warms up confortably, finish up on the Rehab Job
And headed out at 8 a.m. First to the Price Chopper, Coffee and Bandages for the new Surgery
I took the Bandage off after the suggested 48 Hours, looks pretty good... lots of neat Stitches
Got $30 worth of Scratchers too and then went around the Corner and down the Hill to P@G Hardware
They didn't have exactly what I wanted but I got some Paint that should do OK
And then way over to Hiway I-29 to the UPS office to drop off the Return to Amazon
I think after this try I will just stick to the 8GB Ram that came installed...
I don't plan to do any Video Editing and Rendering that takes a lot of Memory to do
Then back Home to start Scratching Winners, got Three out of Six ticket to win $45, $15 Profit there
And then, how about some Breakfast at 9 a.m. and then get out front and Paint that Bench
10 a.m. 66 Degrees, bright Sun, clear blue Sky, Temps warming up, went back to see Roos Beck at the Fast Stop
Traded in my $45 of Winners, pocketed $25 and got $20 more Tickets, back Home to win another $50
Time to quit for the Day while I was ahead for a change... Let's go out and Paint!
First some more wire brushing on the Wood Seat and Back, then the Wood Stain and Sealer
Well that didn't take long, first Color done, maybe, might need another Coat later
I'll let that dry and then maybe Paint the Metal Frame, that will be Rustoleum Black
Was then thinking, I had some Chili in the Freezer, I should make Enchiladas and put that on top
But I needed Corn Tortillas, Cheese and Enchilada Sauce so I headed back to the Price Chopper for that
Got my stuff, headed back, had the Chili out to thaw, but when it thawed... it wasn't Chili it was Beans!
Good Beans with Salsa and stuff but sure not Chili, needed to make some then and I had a surplus of Burgers
So I thawed out three large Burgers, chopped them up, Garlic Salt and Pepper and browned them
Into a pot with chopped Onions, then home made Salsa, Chili Powder, Basil, Oregano and Cumin... yeah!
Let that simmer slowly, later took a taste... Oh yeah, Super Chili, but wasn't in the mood then to make the Enchladas
Enchiladas tale a lot of fixing, like Tamales, so I set it aside, will make the Enchiladas on Friday
Well that was it for another overall pleasant Day, kept busy and interested, I'll get back at it on Friday then
So what for Wednesday? No Gardening projects needed right away but I do have a Painting Project on hold
My old Porch Bench needs an overhall, looking kind of rough, I want to Paint it nicely
And then move it over to tne Neighbor's Porch, she doesn't have anything out there, I asked and she said OK
So the Operation on Tuesday, went pretty well, only took two Aspirin on Tuesday afternoon for a little Pain
Have the bulging Bandage on one Cheek and has to say there until Thursday Morning, then a Band-Aid will do
Then next Tuesday another Surgery and I would think the Stitches on this one will come out then
Ho Hummm, that kind of a drab Day again, headed out into the Cloudy cool Morning to the Price Chopper
Got my Lottos and headed back, stopped by the Snail Mail Box... Nuthin there.... Ho Humm again
Wanted to paint my Bench, not nice on the Porch for doing that, so bored, nothing to do, well I could go get the Paint
Next... 2:30 p,m. I headed up the Hill to the Mail Box and my Package was there... Goodie
And back down the Hill, already had the Case open and ready and popped in the RAM Module... so easy
Put the Covers back on, plugged everything in and hit the Start Button... HUH! Just a blinking Yellow light
So I unplugged it, took the Covers off again and took the Module out, plugged in the Power and Monitor Cord
And this time it worked like always, and so... I put the Covers back on, plugged everything back and that was that
Sometimes you just can't win... I got online and printed a return Lable to Amazon, take it to UPS for return Thursday
That was plenty of Computering for the Day, Margarita and Hamburger Time and that will work just fine
And by the bye... I uploaded tha new Garden Video first thing on Tuesday Morning
Here it is for those not easily bored with my humble Home Movies
A few more people in and out of the Waiting Room and finally the Nurse popped in... 'Donald?'
'Yes Ma'am' and then she said you are good to go! Hurray!, only one cutting session this time
But the Cauterizing and sewing up are a bit more tedious than the Surgery, and took about as long
Then the Bandaging, the checkout and headed back, stopped in at the Price Chopper for Lottos
Then I walked in the Door at Home right at 10 a.m. Mission accomplished and fairly easy this time
Later took a walk out back, wanted to weed the Pepper Bed, and thin the Beets some in that Bed too
Did that, and thought I would fix the bowed bottom Slat in the front gate of that Bed
What? buy a new straight 1 X 2 Board and replace it... Nah... The bowed slat wouldn't bother on top
So I just flipped it over, moved the locking hooks from the straight Slat to the curved one and Wah Lah!
Now a curved Slat is on top and a straight one on the bottom so it fits in the angles that hold it there
Worked on the new Computer some a good part of the Day Sunday, worked OK except just a tad slow on some things
I am just so used to working with the 16GB RAM in my other Three Desktops, even my oldest HP is faster
So first thing Monday morning I got online and ordered an 8GB DDR4 2400HZ RAM module from Amazon
Hopefully that will bring the speed up in the new Computer to what I am used to... GO GO GO
Had a $20 Bill in my Pocket to throw away so I headed down to the Fast Stop for Lottos and Chat
And we did a lot of Chat, about Phones and Computers and his trip to Los Angeles, showed me Photos
I said send me some and I'll make you a Web Page, he sent them on Facebook Messenger, I touched them up a little
Then I made him a simple Web Page, uploaded it and sent the URL to him on Messenger... He says back..."Cool!"
Checked the Sweet Tater Vine again on the way back in... Hey Hey... on the Way, just touching the String
Looks like it is checking it out and see if it is safe to latch onto.. We shall see Tomorrow
And again, on into the rest of a nice Afternoon and Evening and all's Well until Tuesday
OK... most of the Day's start Routine accompished, I was thinking the new Computer was a bit slow
And it only has 8GB RAM, wondered if that was it, I had the 16GB of RAM removed from Dell Two
So I popped off the Cover of the new Box to check, yeah... It has One 8GB RAM Module in one socket and One empty one
That means I have to have another 8GB Module to add more RAM, the Dell Two had Four 4GB Modules, that won't work
Well, I won't be doing any Video Rendering on this one so I can bear with the 8GB at least for now
Then I started putting the Parts I salvaged out of the Dell Two back in, found I couldn't use them
The Blu-ray Drive could not be installed in the new Computer Case and I couldn't use the 4GB RAM Modules either
So the Dell Two is all back together and someday maybe I can get a fix some way or somehow
About Noon-Thirty I headed out back to check things, did a little Weeding and thinning, most all looking good
Took a Hike up to the Bench, looks like the Cannas are trying to hold on, worth that try to keep them going
On the way back in a peek at the Sweet Tater Vine, still climbing up up up and away!
Going to 'Clone' the Dell Two SSD from the Dell One SSD, see if that will work
And I copied all the 'User' Info, Documents, Photos, Music and Videos from the HP on Friday
It is on an external 1 TB Hard Drive now and I can use any and all on the new Computer
So I set the Computer to Clone the SSD and headed out for my Lottos, back to the Fast Stop
Traded in a $20 Win for $20 more and back Home to scratch off a dinky $5 again
Cloning finally done, I stuck the SSD back in the Failed Dell Two, booted it and NO GO!
Same old thing and I couldn't overcome it and didn't want to take it somewhere for Service
So I took all the high Dollar goodies out of the Dell Two, the Hard Drive, DVD and Blu Ray Burner
The 1 TB SSD and all 16 GB of Memory Modues for use somewhere and anywhere... maybe
Then it was just wait for the FedEx Man to bring the new Box and he showed up early at 10:20
Brought in my New Computer, I unboxed it... OH NO! I ordered the wrong one, not an 'XPS' like the other one
They had the wrong Photo online, this is an 'Inspiron', A cheapie Model and missing some goodies
Well the Price was right though and it will do what I need to do, write my Blog and stuff
My rescued Blu-Ray DVD Video Burner cannot be installed in it, I'm stuck with one dinky DVD Drive
Not sure yet if I can boost the ROM to 16GB like I had, might have to do with the 8GB now installed
So I'll now be doing my Videos on Dell One, has my only installed Blu-Ray Burner... Oh? Maybe there is one in the HP?
I started installing my most used Programs and that takes time also, I got my HTML Editor on it
And my Photoscape Photo Editor and FTP Uploader... Now writing this Blog on it and will upload it from this one
So that took me well into the afternoon, and just coasting after than into the usual finale for the Day
A busy Computer Day for Saturday, a little more tuning up for Sunday, still thinking of how to fix my Dell Two
Then a another trip to the Price Chopper, needed Chicken Gizzards for the Cat and some Beer for my Guest
And I bought another $20 worth of Scratchers and then won my $20 back, even up for the Day
Back home I headed up the Hill in back again, wanted to tie up the Tomato Plants
They are growing fast now and leaning some, I want them nice and straight to climb
So far they are blooming and looking a lot better so far than the Crop last year, I didn't do the 'Missouri Prune'
Got a new Photo of the Sweet Tater Plant on the way back in, Six Inches taller in Two Days
I tied a String to the Deck Rail for it to start climbing, maybe a couple more Days
So then some catch-up chat and then a Kansas City 'Cervesa' for each of us and then the long long Movie
She likes Westerns and I had one already recorded from TCM, John Wayne in 'Chism'
So that finally finished, then we watched my Birdie Videos and some Photos on my Computer
Some old Arizona Photos I took 60 years ago, some Nature Sanctuary Photos, I have lots
Finally the Party wound down, she headed up the Hill and I headed to the Kitchen
Found some goodies to hot up and serve with some more Old TV and movies and finally off to Bed
And for Satuday... New Computer coming then but one more shot at fixing the old one
Should I say 'old one'? It is te newest and best Dell Desktop I have... not'old' at all
When the Update finished I checked to see if the latest two bugs had been fixed... Nope
So, tired of writing my Blog on the HP and TV in the Living Room, a little tedious doing that...
I downloaded another HTML Program and installed that on Dell Two so I could write my Blog on that
And that is what I wrote this Blog with on Thurday Morning... and lived Happily ever after
So then the Bank sign on bug... I called the Bank, told them my Problem, they worked on it
And they could not find the Problem, well I can still log in to the HP, have to settle for that for the present
And then, I logged on to Dell.com and bought a new Desktop, I don't fool around... I want action
I can use my current Monitor, and I can remove the SSD from the Dell Two, install it in the new one maybe
And there is the Blu-ray Burner I installed in Dell Two, that will have to be switched to the new Box
On to the Day... Beeded some stuff at the Price Chopper, those daily necessities
Coffee Filters, TP, Milk, Juice... Picked that up and hit the ATM for some Lotto Money
Then down to the Fast Stop for chat with Roos Beck and traded in a $5 Winner, bought $25 more
Back home to scratch off three Losers and one winner to get my $5 back, no fortune for Thursday
And then, hooked up the Hose again and watered everything out front, then some Porch sitting
Nice Weather but Windy again, watch the Birdies flitting back and forth, saw a Humming Bird twice
Haven't seen many of them this this year and the one I saw was a very tiny one
When I mixed my Margarita I saw the Pepper Plants in Aerogarden 7 weren't doing so well
I already moved the Two Jalapeno Plants to Pots as they were getting too tall
Then it looked like the small Purple Peppers were being crowded out so I potted two of them
That leaves One Purple Pepper there and two other Hot Pepper Plants, just too many big plants for that Garden
Then back to the attemped Computer repair for my Dell Two, tried this, that and some of the other with no luck at all
So far the only Computer problem I cam remember that I couldn't eventually figure out but I can't seem to solve this one
And now what? Let a Professional take a look at it? That can get expensive and nothing is mechanically wrong
Something needs to be tweaked in the Registry and I don't know just what I have tried several things
On to the rest of the very Pleasant but very Windy Day, got back out front to water everything as planned
And then the usual finale, Dinner and TV... Do I need something new? Oh well, suits me for now... on to Thursday then...
And what for the rest of Tuesday? Another great Weather Day forecast... What to do? Plant more Flowers?
Well, I didn't use the Two empty Planters I had as I expected to do with the Celosia
So I headed back to Riverside to Larry's Nursery again to see what I could find to put in them
I was thinking more Coleus but a darker red Color and that is what I decided on, got Two Four-Packs
Got a Four-Pack of some Red Impatiems too, a couple I got from Lowes weren't looking too good
And then, I watered the new Plantings and as the Day slipped by I mixed a Margarita and sat out front again
Enjoying Nature and the nice but windy Day and that was really about all except the usual Evening Routine for Tuesday
Tuesday here we come!
Next I tried to roll back my Dell Two desktop to the previous Update, and it failed the Process and I couldn't get it to Boot after that
So I worked most all the rest of the Day until mid-afternoon trying this and that and could find no fix
Then a thought... What about the HP Desktop in the Living Room, maybe it hadn't updated yet, checked... it hadn't!
So I checked my Bank, that worked, tried the HTML Editor... That works, I am using it now
But I had all most all of a busy Day Saturday already written up on that Dell Two. and no way to get at it
Well then, not much to say about Sunday Morning through Sunday Afternoon, trying to fix that Bomb
The two things that didn't work on Dell One I could do on the HP, but after the Rollback I could do nothing om Dell Two
I tried all kinds of things including online tips but I could not get it going.. I am stuck for now on that One
See why I need a spare? My two most used features I now have to do on the HP... The old workhorse...
I am hoping the next update will fix the minor problems on Dell One and the Laptop...
I don't know yet how I am going to get Dell Two fixed
So what for the rest of Sunday, finally mixed my Margarita and went out front to enjoy the Weather
Then I hooked up the Hose, watered everything out back then everything out front
For a Task Finale I raked the rest of the Rose Bush clippings and put then in the AeroCart to dump
In the Cart now, I'll trundle them down to the Gully this Morning, Monday and proceed with using up the rest of the Day
