~ Windows 10 Update Problem First Thing ~
~ Worked most all day trying to fix It ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Writing my Blog on the HP in the Living Room ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

So, I started off Sunday as usual but saw there had been an Windows 10 Insider Update again, saw no problems to start with
But then when I tried to open my HTML Blog Program it said "Your Computer cannot open this Program, check with the Source"
And then later when I tried to open my Online Bank Program I couldn't get past the Sign In... So I couldn't check the Bank
Or write my Blog on either Desktop, checked the Laptop... same thing... Oh Woe! Now what?

Next I tried to roll back my Dell Two desktop to the previous Update, and it failed the Process and I couldn't get it to Boot after that
So I worked most all the rest of the Day until mid-afternoon trying this and that and could find no fix

Then a thought... What about the HP Desktop in the Living Room, maybe it hadn't updated yet, checked... it hadn't!
So I checked my Bank, that worked, tried the HTML Editor... That works, I am using it now
But I had all most all of a busy Day Saturday already written up on that Dell Two. and no way to get at it

Well then, not much to say about Sunday Morning through Sunday Afternoon, trying to fix that Bomb
The two things that didn't work on Dell One I could do on the HP, but after the Rollback I could do nothing on Dell Two
I tried all kinds of things including online tips but I could not get it going.. I am stuck for now on that One
See why I need a spare? My two most used features I now have to do on the HP... The old workhorse...
I am hoping the next update will fix the minor problems on Dell One and the Laptop...
I don't know yet how I am going to get Dell Two fixed

So what for the rest of Sunday, finally mixed my Margarita and went out front to enjoy the Weather
Then I hooked up the Hose, watered everything out back then everything out front
For a Task Finale I raked the rest of the Rose Bush clippings and put then in the AeroCart to dump
In the Cart now, I'll trundle them down to the Gully this Morning, Monday and proceed with using up the rest of the Day

~ Planted the Season's Cannas ~
~ More Watering and Clipping ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, I had this Blog mostly finished but not posted and then a Windows Update mishap bombed my Dell Two Desktop
Now that Saturday Blog is stuck on my Dell Two until I can get it going again and when will that be?
So now this is about all I can remember of what I did on Saturday and it was a lot on that very busy Day

I had about all the Flowers I wanted for the Season except for some Cannas, I thought I would wait until Monday for those
Larry's Nursery is usually very crowded on Saturdays but I got most everything done that Morning so I thought I would try anyway
I buzzed over to Riverside, yeah the Parking lot was full but I found a space, inside not as bad as expected
I picked out Five nice Canna plants and headed back Home to plant the rest of the Day

I had a couple of empty Pots so they were easy to do, but a few more had heavy Canna roots in them from last Year
So you have to dump them and get al the roots about and then put the Soil and Plant back in
But I got them all done and finished the afternoon sipping my Margarita out front in that fine Weather

~ Cannas Planted Saturday ~

That will have to do for Saturday's report but it did cover the Main Event, the rest pretty routine
On to Sunday, most of the first part of the Day wasn't much fun at all

~ Planted Crimson Barberry Bushes ~
~ Planted more Flowers ~

~ Flowers and Bushes to Plant Friday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Friday... 56 Degrees to 73 for the Day... Mike said we would start at 49, he was wrong the right way
And I had plans to plant more stuff, and it is supposed to be mostly Sunny all Day, that will help
First off to Lowes for a couple Plants and then over to Larry's Nursery in Riverside for more Flowers

I wanted a coui[ple Plants to plant inm the Barrel Planters, found some Crimson Barberrys that looked good
Then a big Red Daisy... and some Impatiens for the other Planters and a nice Day shaping up to do that
First I planted the Impatiens in Two Planters and in Two Pots... Then tackled the big half Barrels

~ Tiny Impatiens Plants ~ Let's watch them Grow ~

And that was not an easy chore, First I clipped off the Branches, then dug into the Pot to make a Hole for the new Bush
Those Rose Roots were heavy and thick and went clear to the bottom and I had to clip them as I dug into the Soil
But I got one Barberry planted and then started on the next, taking my time, sitting in one of my Porch Chairs

~ New Barberry Bushes in the Barrels ~

Last to plant was the Red Daisy, that will be the Center Plant on the Porch, all the other Plants out in the Yard<
Then it was Briar Clipping cleanup time, from all that pruning I did out front and around the side
~ The Red Daisy ~ My Out Front Centerpiece ~

Finished most of that, everything then needed to be watered but it was Margarita time and it could wait a few Minutes
Then I hooked up the hose and back out to water everything I planted out front and the Plants already there
And that was it for a bizzy bizzy Day, sipping abd Birdie watching time, Mamma Bird was busy again all Day

Most all the Plants are out front now that are needed, I have a few Pots left, see what I might add
But no Shopping at Larry's on Saturday, that will be full of people and carts on this Day in May
Maybe trot over there on Monday and see what looks good...

~ The latest look out Front ~ Almost Finished for the Season ~

Now what is the plan for Saturday? Oh... Water the GArdens up on the Hill out back

~ Planted the new Holly Berry Tree ~
~ Pumpkin Plants are Germinating ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ New TV Backlites for the Living Room ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Hey Hey, a new Project even before 7 a.m. Thursday Morning, the dark Shades on the Lamps had helped rid glare on the TV
But that left the Room a little on the dark side, and the new Floor Lamp didn't help, gave more TV glare
So I was thinking... What about some backlights on top of the Bookcases? That might do it
And I had Six CFL Grow Lights that I had used on my Garden Shelf before and were then Idle
OK... One Fixture on top of each Bookcase, plugged into one short extension Cord, dropped down behind the TV
Then plugged into the Socket in back of the TV... HAH! Looks like that will do nicely! (and no glare)

Thinking of a couple more things to do, one to plant that Holly Tree that I thought was a Bush
I misread the Label at Lowes, I thought it said height about 6 Feet or so, I wanted to plant it in a Planter
The Dwarf Spruce Trees are doing fine in Pots so far, they grow from 4 to 6 Feet, but the Holly says 12 to 14 Feet
So I thought I would try planting it at the far end of the Porch next Door, second project of the Day

And so, 64 Degrees at 7:30 a.m. and going to 70 but mostly cloudy, well I can live with that I guess
Finished and posted my Wednesday Blog, had a cup of Coffee, worked a Crossword, time to hit the Shower
And then at 8:30 a.m. out into a drab misty Morning to search for my Fortune and it was nowhere to be found
So... who wants to go out and dig in the Dirt in that cool and mist... Not me, what else is there to do?

Well the misty Rain stopped and the sky brghtened some and I headed out about 11:30 to plant the Holly
I got online and read about Holly Bushes and Trees and decided I could put it in the Pot and then prune as it grew
I started lopping off the dead Rose Bush, digging out the Roots and a very light Rain started dripping again
But then the Rain got a bit heavier and I decided to take a break, hoping it would clear up again

So the Sprinkles stopped, it wasn't raining much anyway and I headed back out at Noon-Fifteen
I started digging the Rose roots out of the Pot, lots of them and deep, I changed my mind about putting the Holly in there
It might get 'root bound' real quick, so I dug a nice deep hole for it, set the Bush in the hole, filled the gap with Potting Soil
And then with some little stones left at the side of the Building, I built a cute little Wall around it

~ Holly Bush Planted Thursday ~

Before I started digging out front I went around back for my Tools, while back there I saw the Pumpkins had a few pop-ups
And next the little rescued Rose bush had another Bloom, and that Rhubarb sure looks like it wants to make me some Sauce
Maybe I will snip some of that on Friday... It's been a long time since I had any Rhubarb

~ Pumpkin Pop-Ups ~ New Bloom on the Rose ~ Rhubarb ready for Harvest ~

And again that was all the 'Breaking News' on Thursday, on to a quiet Afternoon and Evening
Thinking what Projects to attempt on Friday, I need two Plants for the half Barrels, maybe head to Lowes again
And I need more Flowers, another trip to Larry's Nursery in sight?

~ Finished my Mama Bird Video ~
~ Planted the Marigolds ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Mama Bird feeding her new Baby ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, what about this change of Routine? Didn't start on wednesday's Blog until 2 p.m.
Usually it's at 6 a.m. or so and then add as the Day progresses, but I got Sidetracked with my Video
I got my usual 5 a.m. start on the Day, finished and Posted Tuesday's Blog, worked my Crossword
Then I started on the new Birdie Video and it just kept me busy and I finally finished it about 10;30 a.m.

I started the Upload to Vimeo then headed down to the Fast Stop for my Lottos, got involved in chat there
I told Roos Beck that I had made a new Birdie Video and he wanted to see it, I checked on my Phone and it was there
Well this one is only about Five Minutes long, Roos Beck and the Old Guy that hangs out there watched it

So I headed back to only win a dinky $5 and decided to go back to Video Editing, that long one I did the day before
It was Ten Minutes long and had too many scenes with no Birds, so I did some trimming and knocked off Two Minutes

And then I went out front to plant the Marigolds in the Planters, just as I started I heard Thunder rumbles
Then a few sprinkles but I was sitting under the Deck so I kept going, just as I finished about Noon the Rain started

So then it was just a long Afternoon of TV and piddling around with this and that, later the Weather cleared up
After then it was the same old Evening winding up stuff, done with another Day, this one not so busy
So far the only thing on tap for Thursday is plant that Holly Tree sometime

~ Watered and Mowed and Trimmed ~
~ Bought Flowers and a Tree to plant ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Popcorn Rose Popped One ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, what for Tuesday? 62 Degrees at 6 a.m. and Today going to hit 84, Mike says... OK
What to do? Well get out back and water some first thing, going to be some hot Sun on the Plants
Already the Cucumbers don't look too good... May have to replant them, too much Sun and wind back there

Out back again to Mow some more before it got Hot later in the Day, then watered the Garden Beds
Then I watered the Beds at the Side of the Building and then dragged the Hose next Door
I saw that the Popcorn Rose Bushes there needed a good trim but I was tired and thought I would do that after a rest

~ Some Mowing between my Garden Beds and the Ditch ~

And that Missing Package from Amazon... I talked to the USPS Three times and all they could do was tell me to call the Police
So I called Amazon Customer Service to see what they could do about it... The nice Rep Lady there said they will give me a refund
I have had great service from Amazon and this is the first lost Package or defective product I have received

And then... back out and back next door with my Lopper to trim the Roses and then water them
Then dragged the Hose over to my Building to water my stuff out front and did some trimming there too

~ The Popcorn Roses next Door Popping Now ~

So what's next? Those Two Barrels I planted Roses in last Year, one long gone, the other might do a comeback
What to replace the dead One? I headed to Lowes to see what they might have and I found a nice Holly Bush
So I picked that up and then saw some nice Marigolds and got Six for Two empty Planters
It was right at 2 p.m. so I mixed me a Margarita to sip out front and get ready for the Plantings

~ Marigolds ready for the Planters ~

Well now, as I was sitting out there enjoying the breeze I saw the Mamma Bird back at the Bird House
But this time she wasn't going inside and out, just sitting on the post poking her head in and out
AHA! She must now have a baby Bird and she was feeding it... I wached her fly in and out a few times
Thought I might catch some more cute Video, maybe see the baby Bird with a close up shot

So I went in, brought out my Video Camera and Tripod and set up get some Video of the latest Bird action
And the afternoon was moving along and I thought I would just postpone the Plantings until Wednesday
I sat out front for a couple Hours sipping my Margarita and Videoing and watching the Birds

So late afternoon, back inside to set up something for Dinner, Burger and Home Fries should do it
And back to the TV Evening show, had my Burger, a Glass of Vino Tinto, an old Movie I found on TCM
And wrapped up the Evening with another Episode of the 'Bates Motel' Series that I am watching all over again

A nice busy warm Day again and it looks like another one due for Wednesday... Let's get at it

~ Bench Repairs Finished ~
~ Finished my Birdie Video ~

~ A Rose by any other Name still has Thorns ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Another gorgeous Day starting on Monday Morning, today they say going to top out at 84
So never Fear... Summer is here... for the next three Days anyway

And up the Hill about 7:OO to tackle the Bench again, the Paint was dry so I could sit on it and set the Footrest Height
Leveled it just the way I wanted it and then brought over some Rocks to hold back the erosion

~ Bench Rehab Done for Now ~

Checking on the Orange Trees I set out back way too early, one looks like it is trying to come back
So far the other one looks all gone, but I'll wait and see what it does for a while longer

~ Orange Tree making a Comeback? ~

And then back down to water the back Crops real well for the Warm Day ahead, looking good for the most part
For the first time I am seeing the Radishes, Beets and Swiss Chard beginning to pop up
And then back down the Hill at 9 a.m. and ready to go seek my fortune again... It is out there somewhere

Later I plugged in my Power Cord, went out back and hooked up my Mower and did a little Trimming
Trimmed along the back yard next to the Building and then the Side Beds, and then the back Garden Beds
The ground has been too muddy and wet and tht mowing Crew hasn't done much since their Mower got stuck earlier

And then after the mowing tired me out that was all the 'work' for the rest of the Day
I worked for a couple hours on my Birdie Video, I had a lot of blank Video to cut
I just let the Video Camera run while the Bird would fly in, later fly out and and fly in again
I had Video of the Bird House, the Gazebo Feeder and my Fountain all being visited buy the Birds
So I have about Four Hours of Video edited down to Ten Minutes but it's kind of a cute Video

And so again that was all of Monday except for the usual Finale, and now what... Is it Tuesday Yet?

Sunday Morning at 6 a.m. and been up for a little over an Hour, Saturday's Blog finished and Posted
A busy Day on Saturday and a few things already planned for Sunday, maybe I'll get that Bench finished
Starting off at 51 Degrees out there and going to 80, nice Day for whatever anyone wants to do outside, looks like

7:30 and off to the Minit Mart for Lottos, cashed in my $45, spent $25, won back only $10, well... maybe Tomorrow?
And 8:00 a.m. Sunny and 57 Degrees, time to head up the Hill in back, wanted to brush the dirt off the Bench Legs
Then Paint the Legs, level up one back Leg and then set in the Footrest, that should take a few Minutes

~ Bench Rehab almost Done ~

Well of course it took a bit more than a few Minutes and some Hill climbing and balancing too
But all I can do Today, finished by 9 a.m. Just need the Paint to dry, need to sit on the Bench to adjust Footrest height

OK, needed some stuff at Walgreens and a couple Items at the Price Chopper, headed out again
And I headed out for that last trip and Walgreens first for one Item, then to the Price Chopper for Six or so
Back Home to unload and wonder what to do all Afternoon, sure not much work, that trip on the Hill wore me out
So Noon time, just a gorgeous Day again, Sunny and DNP at 72 Degrees, I think it is a sitting out front and sipping Day

And I sat and sipped, and set my Video Camera up again for more Bird Video, might have gotten some better this time
The try on Saturday didn't work out so good, somehow the Video wasn't as sharp as I wanted
So it was sitting and watching the Birds all afternoon, then back inside to finish out the Day as usual

A good and fairly productive Weekend over all... Let's see what Monday brings

Saturday Morning, 6 a.m. and 55 Degrees... Sunny and 77 predicted for the top and that should be great!
Friday was just Gorgeous, not as warm but pleasant and comfortable all Day, and a busy day it was
Got everything done that I planned to do except finish the Bench repair, needed to Paint that too

Plugged in my Drill, had an idea, screw a block on each Footrest Leg for more stability, I had the Blocks
So I headed up the Hill at 7 a.m. Then toted the Footrest down to the Porch, easier to work out there
Drilled Holes in the Blocks and screwed them to the Legs, and now what? Paint the Footrest...
And I found the Paint I had used on the Bench, still enough in it for the Footrest, so away we Paint!

Twenty Minutes later all painted except the top of the Board... Need to wait for the rest to dry to flip
And most of the planned Day's Projects done by 8:30 a.m. another long Day ahead?, Well I can prune the Roses some

Headed to the Price Chopper for $30 worth of Scratchers, only won $15 back but I had $30 more Winners Tickets
So then off to the Fast Stop to win my Fortune, cashed in that $45 worth of Winners, won $45 back, no pain, no gain
Then I thought I would try a Video of my new Tenant in the Bird House in front of the Unit next Door
She was busy flying in and out of that House on Friday, tried for Video with my Phone, no not good
Needed more Telephoto so I set up my Video Camera and waited, and I got some Video, I'll edit a little short one later

After I got back from the Fast Stop the Paint had dried enough so that I could flip the Footrest over
And I painted the top Board, now ready to Install when it drys real good

~ Bench Footrest ready to Install ~

Then some Garden work out front, took the rescued Cannas out of the two Pots they were in
Will take them out back and up on the Hill to plant and see what they do up there, not too hopeful

Then I took my Paint Can and Brush and headed back up te Hill to Paint the Bench, now all new looking
And while I was back there I had the Hose hooked up and I watered all the back Gardens
From left to right, the Cucumber Seedings I transplanted don't look so good so far
Next the Peppers look better, holding their own while they adapt to the outside Weather
Then the Tomato Plants, looking great, looking for a bumper Crop this year maybe
Finally the newly planted Pumpkin Seeds, no sign of them popping up yet but it's only been a couple Days

And then that was it for the Day, on to a second Margarita and Dinner and TV and the same old thing

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~

~ Coleus and Impatiens ready to Plant ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Friday again, some of these weeks sure go fast... And what is the Plan for the Day?
A bit of a cool start, 46 Degrees at 6:30 a.m. but going to 72 and sunny they say
And several things to do in front and out back to keep me busy for a while, digging and planting
Out back dig the Bench Footrest Legs in a little Deeper, that will about finish that rebab Project
Then the Pumpkin Patch needs to be dug up, Raked and Planted, not a big deal

In front I thought I would take the two Pepper Plants in Pots outside with the others for some Sun
But first maybe a run over to Larry's Nursery in Riverside for some New Zealand Impatiens
A start on getting the Flowers Display all set up out front all over again

And headed to Larry's a little after 9 a.m. Parking Lot full as always this time of year
Picked out 8 Coleus Plants and 4 New Zealand Impatiens, loaded up and headed for Home

~ Three more Plants out Front ~

Next, out back to work up the Pumpkin Patch and get some seeds in there, hoping for a Pumpkin
No luck with them way up on the Hill last Season, see what they can do in the repurposed Cantaloupe Cage
So a little Raking, a little Digging, a little Planting and all done by 11 a.m.

~ Pumpkin Patch Planted ~

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~

Then what? Well that Bench Footrest, had to go deeper in the ground... but... Would be easier to saw off 6 Inches of each leg
So I got my Saw out again and headed back up the Hill to do just that, Measured, Sawed, Tried, it fits
Now I need to Paint the Footrest before I set it in the Ground, and I saw some Rocks up there I can use
I had used them to form the Pumpkin Bed, now I can set them in front of the Bench to hold back the Soil

And then into the long busy afternoon, busy but taking my time at it, planting the Flowers I got from Larry's
Three Coleus Plants in each of Two Planters, the Fourth ones in Two Pots, then the Four Impatiens in Four Pots
Now those Twelve new Flowers out front, going to move the rescued Cannas out back to see what they do
A good start on the front Flowers, I'll add a few more as the Idea for what and where shows up

The rest of the Day was sipping Margaritas and watching the Birdies out front, I saw the first Hummingbird on Thursday
And as I sat there I saw a bird fly in and then out of my Birdhouse next door several times
I'll have to set up my Video Camera to see if I can get some close-ups of it

So just a gorgeous, busy and pleasant Day all Day on Friday, and supposed to be better on Saturday

~ Better Weather! ~
~ An Out Back Working Day ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Cucumber Seedlings ready to go Outside ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well I think it is Thursday now, and Mike says better weather ahead and it's about time
Brrrrrr, starting off at a chilly 38 Degrees, that's not better, but Sunny and warming to 66... that IS better!
I need to take a look out back and see if I can plant those Cucumber Seedlings, they are just the right size now
And I plugged in my Drill in case I can work on my Bench, but might be too muddy up there

So the Amazon Order for more Blu-ray DVDS said the Postman left my Package at the Door or on the Porch
Well it wasn't there, so I printed off my Tracking page and headed to the Post Office
Gave her the Paper, she headed to the back, came back and said maybe he left it at the Complex Office
I says probably not, the Maintenance man was already there and he would have brought it to me
So she gave me a Phone Number, said to call the Manager tomorrow if it didn't show up... Oh well

Then on back up the hill to P&G Hardware, needed a chuck Key for my Drill, I lost the first one
And back home, let's get going, trundled my cart of Rose Bush clippings down the Hill to dump them in the Gully
Back up the Hill, loaded my Garden stuff in the Cart and headed back to the Jungle to plant the Cucumbers
Even after all the Rain the Soil was just about right, dug Eight Holes and planted Eight Seedlings
Now all the Beds are planted except for the Pumpkin Patch and that will be next

~ Cukes ready to be Planted ~

~ Cukes ready to Grow ~

OK, planting done by 10 a.m. Next get the Drill and Saw and Screws and head all the way up the Hill to the Bench
Rested up a bit first then collected my Tools and headed up the Hill for the bigger Job
First 4 Screws into each front leg to tighten them up... Then level the Blocks under the Bench Legs
Then I sawed the Footrest board to match the Bench Length, sawed off two shorter pieces for the Legs
Attached the Legs and then dug holes to set the Legs in... Then needed a rest, Legs have to go deeper but that can wait

~ Almost Done ~ Footrest has to go a little Deeper ~

All the work on the Hill done for the Day, checked my Email and Walmart says my Package 'Ready for Pick-up'
So I tooled over there, walked all the way to the back, got my huge but very light weight Box and headed out
Back Home I opened the Box in the Car, no need to bring it in, took the two small boxes out
Inside, opened the Boxes, out with the Shades, smaller than expected but quite ample for the job
Mounted them on the Two Lamps and tried them out, and they solved the TV Glare problem quite well
There is a bit more light coming from the top than I like, have an idea to lower that but it's OK for now

~ New Dark Lampshades to cut the Glare on the TV ~

So, that was the Day, the usual finish and off to bed, again a bit too early
Friday? Already have several Ideas to keep me busy... Off we go

~ SS Pay Day ~ More Bills getting Paid ~
~ Just another Rainy Day ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

So it's not the 'Merry Merry Month of May' I was expecting... at least so far, cold and wet
Wednesday Morning, 52 Degrees and light Rain at 6 a.m. Where have we seen that before? Like Yesterday?
Well Mike said maybe not too much Rain, and I hope not as I have a couple projects out back I want to get at
Like transplanting my Cucumber Seedlings, getting the Pumpkin Patch ready and fixing my Bench

So, nothing much else to do so far, headed to the Price Chopper for my Lottos, a little good luck
I traded in $30 worth of Winners and won $45 back, a little profit there, what shall I do with that $15?
I know, take it down to the Fast Stop, kid a little with Navru, buy more Tickets and then lose it all

And I trotted down the Hill to the Fast Stop, had the usual chat with a surprize request I could not help with
Then I spent my $15 Profit on more Tickets and won $15 back, easy come, easy go

So, put a load in the Dishwasher, took my clothes out of the Dryer to fold and hang and then what?
Oh I do get so bored so easy even with all my Tech Toys if I have no projects to work with
I do have Three empty AeroGardens I could clean out but had no immediate interest in that
And just a bit early to start my Afternoon TV Sippage and watch... Ho Hum... What do I need at the Price Chopper?

Well I needed some Bread, 'Natures Own 100% Whole Wheat' was on sale... My favorite Bread, extra large loaf for $1.99
And some of those super Dishwasher Capsules, that stuff works GOOD! And some Apple Juice (on sale)
And for some after Dinner nibbles, a package of Brach's Bridge Mix Chocolates... Yeah!

Lessee... what's for Dinner? AHA, some Chicken, Dressing, Gravy and Green Beans, quite ample...
And 'Good Night Irene' and a better Day on Thursday?... Looks like it

~ Movie Day at the El Pato Teatro Imperial ~
~ Planted Radishes and Beets ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Oh Boy! Clear this Morning but a little Chilly at 48 Degrees, but then Sunny and a top near 70!
Only thing on the Menu today (so far) is a quick Trip to Walmart and then the Movie in the Afternoon
There is a glare from one Table Lamp in the Living Room on the TV for someone sitting in one Chair
So for a TV Show that has dark scenes it's best to turn that one off to get rid of the glare... and so
I thought I would run over for a dark Lampshade to see if that would solve the problem

And Walmart did not have the one I wanted, back home to order it online. well Two of them
Stopped in an the Minit Mart on the way back for $25 worth of Scratchers, won back $30... HAH! $5 profit
Well that wouldn't do so I trotted back to the Price Chopper for $30 more and won back $40, WOW $10 Profit!

And Sunny, way up to 58 Degrees at 10 a.m. I wanted to go out back and transplant my Cucumbers
But they are saying more Rain on Wednesday and only 55 Degrees so thought it better to wait for Thursday
But I could take a look at what's to be done on my Bench so up the Hill around 11:30 a.m
I took my Level and Trowel up to level the new Feet Blocks, and with a little digging I got that done on the back Blocks
But the Screws holding on the Front Legs must have rusted out some as the legs were a bit loose
So I decided to postpone that for later after I charge up my Drill and try later, tired of bending over anyway

~ A Start on fixing my Bench on the Hill ~

Took a little rest and then back out at Noon, still Sunny and at 64 Degrees, really nice out there
Decided to plant some Radishes and Beets in the Pepper Bed, lots of room left for them in that Bed
I just sort of scattered the Beet and Radish Seeds, I lose patience trying to plant them evenly
So they grow or don't grow, at least I tried, and I usually get some results. not like they say in the Seed Cataloge though

And then it was just pass the time with this amd that, household doings, until Pat got here
Right on time at Showtime she showed up, we had a little chat then mixed Margaritas, started the Movie
And I brought in the Popcorn I had popped just before Showtime and had kept warm in the Oven

Then it was a long Movie time watching 'East of Eden' and it is a long one, finally over
After that Pat wanted to look at my back Garden so we took a walk up the Hill, even up to see the Bench
Then had a little more TV and Computer catching up, a little more chat and then it was Hasta la Vista time
A very pleasant and very long afternoon and some nice weather outside we didn't see much of

I had finished my rare second Margarita and then it was chow time, what to revive from the Fridge?
Still had some of that better that usual Marinara Sauce, and a MO Lotto Prize Italian Sausage
Simmered up some Sketti, hotted up the Sauce and Sausage and ended my Day with an ample Feast

Now... what for Wednesday? More Rain they are saying... Oh well...

~ Hey Hey! It's May! Let's get Merry! ~
~ Cleared AeroGarden 6 ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Ended my Month of April with Showers and Cool, beginning my Merry Month of May with light Showers
April... go away... you are finished! Let's have some Sunshine and Flowers and get those Cucumbers planted
So it is 44 Degrees at 6 a.m. on Monday and they say mostly Cloudy and a top of only 57, but Tuesday maybe 67 and some Sunshine

And it looks like the Aerogardens are about ready to be retired for awhile, only half the Herbs in Garden Six did anything
Two Herbs didn't do more than emerge, then quit, the Dill tried but is now dying, the Two Basil Plants getting tired
So first thing I thought I would clip whatever Basil I can, and then what is left of the Mint Leaves
Then try planting the Chives in a Pot and trash the rest, and retire that AeroGarden for now

~ AeroGarden 6 is Retiring for Now ~

And just playing around with the Movie I just recorded on DirecTV, I made a Photo of the Opening Title
Then made an edited and 'layered' Photo of that and emailed it to Pat, and she made a Reservation for Tuesday
Offering to bring Popcorn but I have some and will have that ready to go at Movie Time

~ El Pato Teatro Imperial accepting Reservations ~

Back to AeroGarden 6, in retirement for now, I clipped all the rest of the Basil and Mint and dried it
The results of that planting are mixed, got quite a bit of Two Basils, some Mint but no Parsley, Dill or Thyme
And the only other Pod, the Chives, was trying but didn't get far, so I rescued them and put the Pod in a Pot
So we can see what they do now, grow some or give up like the Parsley, Dill and Thyme... (No Sage or Rosemary)

~ The Chives Pod in a new Home ~

And then 2 p.m. a little Sun trying to break through but the Temp still at a chilly 47 Degrees
I thought I would put my Jacket on and trot up the Hill to see what I could see after the Monsoon
So... the Back Garden Report... Tomatoes looking OK, Peppers looking OK, no Chard or Lettuce popping up yet
They need some Sun and warmer Weather to get going, I have some Beets and Radishes to plant when the Weather warms

So then back inside to get working on the Afternoon and what to chow down on at Dinner Time
And that was about all the non-news for Monday... Tuesday here we come...

~ Sunday April 30, 2017 ~
~ Just another Rainy Day ~
~ Transplanted Jalapeno Peppers ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

What a dismal Rainy Say all Day on Saturday, started Rainy and stayed Rainy and still Rainy when I went to Bed
Still cold and all wet out there Sunday Morning when I peeked out to check, not raining but still saying light Rain
So I can't get out back to do what I want to do... Fix that Bench and work on my Pumpkin Patch
It's going to take a couple of dry days before I can even walk on that Hill back there

And nothing much to do inside except brave the wetness and find a couple Pots to bring in
Then remove and transplant the two Jalapeno Pepper Plants in AeroGarden 7, and so... another long long Day ahead

After a little Breakfast I decided on the first Task of the Day, those Peppers in Garden 7
I went out front, Rain stopped but still cold abd Wet, the Cat was there, went back in to get him some food
Then back out to bring in a couple Pots to plant the Jalapeno Peppers in after I took them out of the Garden

Well that took a little time, filled the Pots about half way, then took each Plant out one at a time to lay then in the Pot
Then fill and tamp the Soil down to stand the Peppers up straight, they look better there than in the Garden

~ Peppers in the Garden ~ Peppers in the Pot ~ Peppers out of the Garden

Still dark and dreary add dripping at 11 a.m. when I set out for my Lottos
Headed to the Price Chopper this time, and again no Luck at all, at all... Doggone!
And then hungry at 11:30 a.m. That's unusual, I eat breakfast late and most always skip lunch
Maybe a nice quick Hot Dog can fix that... Thought I would just try that

And that worked rather well, it was a 'Lotto Prize' Hot Dog and they are big and Fat and Tasty!
OK that fixed that problem, lets go Win a Big Lotto, last Chance this month to try

Back to the Price Chopper to try again, last time I will try in April...
And back Home to scratch and scratch and lookeee there! A very nice $100 Win... Hooray for me!

~ A Nice Win to Brighten up a Dark Wet Day! ~

And that was just about all the excitement for Sunday, just wind down with a Margarita and scrounge up something for Dinner
And that turned out to be a Lotto Prize Burger and some Fries, then some Music and a Movie and actually stayed up longer

Well April is leaving and it has been a busy and wet and interesting Month for me... Could have been a tad warmer
