~ Some Old Video Updating ~
~ And that was about it for Tuesday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

After my usual preliminary computer doings I started on re-rendering a DVD that would not play on my new DVD Player
Easy enough to do, just takes some time rendering after the changes... First copying the .m2ts File from the DVD
Then enter the File to my Video Editor time line... Then render to .mp4 and burn to a Blu-ray Disc
One advantage to the remake, the one I did Tuesday Morning that was in .m2ts format was too long for one DVD
A DVD only holds 4.7 GB of Video, a Blu-ray disk can hold 25 GB... So that Video was on two DVDs
I copied the files from each DVD, added them both to the Editor then rendered and burned to One BD-R Disc

~ Two DVDs Rendered to .mp4 and burned to One Blu-Ray Disc

So then I was thinking, probably all the older Videos I burned to DVDs would not play now, that won't do
They would play on the other two Blu-Ray Players I had, but not on my latest and supposedly greatest 'Smart' Blu-ray Player
Well, ever since VIMEO would not accept my .m2ts Video Files, I have been rendering everything to the .mp4 Video Format
And then burning them to BD-R Blu-ray Discs, so that means if I want to see my older DVDs on my Player I have to redo them

~ Re-editing and burning my old .m2ts Videos to .mp4 ~

So after I converted that DVD above from Two DVDs to one BD-R Disc I picked out 9 more on DVD, checked then on my Player
And none would play so I started converting them, takes a bit of time so I only got three done befoe I quit for the afternoon
I have 5 more waiting to be converted and need to check all the rest on my shelf to see how big a task I now have
At least now the BD-R Discs cost a lot less than when they first came out, hardly more than a DVD now

And I have a big stack of them waiting to be used, looks like I have something to keep me busy for a long time

Now on to the new Day, halfway through February already!

~ A Visit with Neighbor Patricia ~
~ An Afternoon of Chat and Old Videos ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Oh Oh... Cold again, 28 Degrees at 7 a.m. and a High of only 49, where did that Spring Weather go?
Well I didn't have any outside activity plans except to take the AeroCart out back, finished with hauling the Leaves
And Pat was coming over to Visit in the afternoon, that will use up most of the Day
Well I did have one load of Leaves left to take down to the Gully, that took all of Ten Minutes
Then I swept up the few Leaves left on the Porch, bagged them for the Trash and all done with the chores for the Day

Then a peek at the Cannas in the Kitchen, really growing now, they like Sun but doing fine with the Grow Lights
I hope they don't outgrow the Shelf height before it is warm enough to put them out front
April is still a long time off, a Month and a half maybe? Well, we shall see

~ Cannas doing Fine in the Kitchen ~

Then a quick trip to the Price Chopper for some loser Lottos then play around on the Computer
And kept occupied until almost 1 p.m. then a knock on the Door from Pat, she walked down the Hill again
Then some inspection of the new Living Room Chairs and rearrangement, and met with her approval
The Room seems smaller, those Chairs are good sized but sure are comfy and such a good view of the TV

Then into the Computer Room for some Crossword Puzzling, she worked away on Dell Two and I was on Dell One
After some time with that, back to the Living Room for some TV, this time some of my older Videos
The old ones, some from my old VCR Tapes, then from an SD Video Camera and on up to my first HD Video Camera
Not near the quality of my latest Panasonic AVCCAM, but time marches on, Video didn't catch up to Film for a long time

And a couple disappointments on a couple of my DVDs that would not play on my new Blu-ray DVD player
My first HD Camera would record in .m2ts HD format, you could render that and burn to a regular DVD
And that would then play back in Blu-ray HD quality without burning to a Blu-ray Disc, much cheaper
But later, my Videos in .m2ts would not upload to VIMEO and my newer Players would not play them
So now I render all my Videos to .mp4 and burn to a Blu-ray Disc and they are working fine for everything

Anyway, we watched quite a bit of those old Videos, enjoyable Memories and some History even in the poor quality
The Afternoon wore down to Evening and then the Party ended and back up the Hill to her Home around the corner
Oh, forgot to mention, she brought some very tasty Brownie type Cookies, went very well with a glass of Vino Tinto

Then I rustled of some Grub for the Microwave, found an old Movie to finish before bedtime, rememnber 'Giant'?
That's a long one, I had watched it in two sessions before finishing it Monday Night...
And that was a nice Monday, now off to Tuesday with some new projects of redoing those Videos that would not play

~ Sunny but not as Warm ~
~ Finished my Leaf Removal ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, a Sunny Saturday it was! Reporting 70s all over the Area, top reading I saw in Parkville was 68 Degrees
And I got most all those ugly Leaves raked out from under the Bushes and hauled down to the Gully
Then for Sunday's project, I had another Two, maybe Three more Cart loads and that should be finito
Sunday Morning, starting at 42 Degrees at 6 a.m. Will not be as warm for the Day, they say a top of 53
But that is pretty decent for February, a day like Saturday is all too rare for the Month of February

Got all my Morning Routine done and ventured out into the Sunny but cool Morning, not so bad at 40 Degrees
Decided to try my luck at the Fast Stop this time, traded in what I thought was $16 in Wins
But Navru rang it up as a $26 Win, I missed a number or letter... But nice, Got $25 more Tickets
So then back home to scratch off a $20 Win, I'll have to trade that in for more, but where this time?

Attacked the Leaves disposal project again, this time Four more loads to the Gully, a few more than I thought
I would load the Cart, trundle it down the Hill, push it back up and take a break before the next load
Well, easy going down, but that Hill is steep back up the other way, finally all done with dumping at Noon

~ Leaves hauled to the Gully ~

And then the Afternoon was just a take it easy rest up Day, but I kept moving with this and that inside
It seems when I finish a project I am more bored than when I started, seems I need to keep busy at something
I finished a fairly nice Sunday then and now off to a new Day and New Week... I do like Mondays!

~ This Donald For President! ~
~ Leaf Raking and Hauling Day ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Saturday Morning, nice Weather Day ahead they say but not quite as warm as Friday which was exceptional
So, I started my Day as usual except I got up a little earlier, like 4:30 a.m. Made my Bed, put a load of Laundry in the Washer
Mixed my Apple Juice, Brewed my Coffee, Finished Friday's Blog, posted it, worked my Crossword Puzzle
Then just cruising around the Net, ran into a U.S. Government Knowledge Test, kind of interesting so I answered the 21 Questions
And like I (modestly) told my Friends Pat and Sigi... that I amaze myself with the knowledge I have picked up
I didn't study Government, I have no College Education, yet I did rather well in the Test as they said:

"We salute you! You got the top score! Which means you got more answers right than 90% of the population.
You understand the intricacies of this great nation and how it works. You might as well move to D.C. right now,
they could use a mind like yours to set things right!"

~ The Donald ~ Now running for President! ~

Well, hazy Sun and Warm... Made a quick trip to the Price Chopper to lose some Money, Cashed in $32 of Winners
Bought $20 more Tickets and then only won $15 back... Better luck tomorrow? I can hope anyway

OK, then nice and warm, almost 60 Degrees, time to do some yard work that I started a couple Days back
The Maintenance Manager saw me sweeping Leaves, stopped by to say he would blow them off later
So I postponed that but thought on that Warm Day I could do some more De-Leaving, I cleaned out the next Door Yard
Toted the Leaves down to the Gully in my AeroKart, dumped the Leaves there and then back up the Hill to start on my Side

~ Before I started in on the Leaf Disposal ~

Then I started raking the Leaves on my Side from under the Plants to the front of the Yard
And there were a lot more than it looked like at first... I got them all raked to the front
Then I loaded up the Cart and headed down the Hill again and dumped that load

~ Raked from under the Bushes ~ Ready to haul to the Gully ~

Time for a break, and it still looked like maybe Five or more loads to haul down the Hill...
Rested up a little and then back out in that Sunshine in a T-Shirt to Load up another Cart, Number Three
Dumped that one, rested a few minutes and tackled another, what was that, Four for the Day?
Well, getting on to time for a Margarita and think up something for Dinner, think I have an Idea
Back out to try to cover the Leaves as much as I could to keep them from Blowing, the Cart and stuff on top
Then back in to finish out the Day with my Margarits, some boring TV and a nice Dinner, maybe a Movie

~ Warmer Days Ahead! ~
~ Warmer than Expected! ~ 60 Degrees! ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And so, Friday Morning, finished my Coffee, worked my Crossword, then to work on the Hallway Area Rug
Started that about 6:00 a.m. Not such a big deal, TV and Computers Wires on the Floor, taped them in place
Layed the Carpet down on top, had to trim a couple places, might have to use some Carpet Tape, no hurry for that
And all done with that little task by 6:30 a.m. and then on to the Day...
~ Original Area rug Moved to the Hallway ~

And a warmer Day was forecast, Mike Thompson said on TV Thursday Night that the Cold on Thursday was gone
He said that the Cold on Wednesday Night would be the last coldest Day in February... so come on March!

Then a catchup Photo of the Pineapple Top Plant... Haven't paid much attention to that lately
It seems to take a while for them to get started and this one has been in no hurry... But still alive
Only one or two of the original Leaves stil green, no new ones yet, still waiting, only one failed so far
So I clipped off all the dead Leaves, set it on the Shelf again and something else to watch and wait

~ Pineapple Top Planted on January 25th ~ Still Alive on February 10th

A little later in the Day I saw that the Hall Carpet was 'creeping' a little like the last one did
So I headed out to P&G Hardware for anoter roll of Tape, taped that down and I think it is all set now
It sure does lool brighter and better than that drab Tan Colored one that was there, now what can I use that one for?

The rest of the Day was just the usual run of Afternoon and Evening, now looks like the Room overhall is finished

~ Carpet Readjustment Day ~
~ More Lotto Wins! ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Thursday Morning and I have plans to start the Day for a change... Get that Carpet straight
Started out early, moved the Coffee Table, one End Table and the new Chairs out of the Room
Moved the big old Chair to the corner by the Door to get it's weight off the Carpet
Then tugged the Carpet back to it's place in front of the TV Shelf, then how to keep it there?<
Well, head out to find some Carpet Tape to keep the Carpet from crawling away when I put the Funiture back

And before that, a comment I left out of Wednesday's Diatribe before heading out for that Tape...
After I got most of my Carpet Installing finished I headed back down to the Fast Stop to trade in $20 of winners
And then I won a $5 and $40 Ticket, very nice and a cute win on the $40... a 'Five Times' $8 for a $40 Win

~ A Real Cute $40 Win for Wednesday! ~

Back to the Project of the Day 6:45 a.m. Moved out the Coffee Table, then the End Table and then the Two new Chairs
Shoved the old Chair against the Door, that freed up most all the Carpet for a good Pull, did that with some success
Then I sat the Chair on the Carpet and pulled it to move more of the Carpet toward the TV Shelf
And then I rolled the Carpet back to the Chair, then waiting for some Carpet Tape before rolling it back

That done by 7 a.m. Then my Morning Cleanup and headed out to the Price Chopper and P&G Hardware
Picked up some good Sale Items at the Price Chopper, stopped in at P&G Hardware, got a 100 Foot Roll of Tape
Then over to the Minit Mart for $20 worth of Loser Lottos... Back home to start taping my Carpet

I had it rolled back and straightened out, then put on a Strip of Tape about every Foot or so as I rolled it out
Finally at the end I put on Three Strips of Tape, and laid the Carpet down... Wah Lah!...
Then brought in the Furniture that I had removed, set it all in place and now it looks a lot better!

Decided then, I was ahead on Lottos from Wednesday so I went back to the Minit Mart and bought the same Tickets
This time a really nice $50 Ticket and backed that up with a $10 Win, got all my Money back and a little Extra

~ A Slightly Better Win for Thursday! ~

And so, time to take an Afternoon break from all that Furniture moving and Rug taping
A nice fresh mixed Margarita and some more boring TV... I wish they could find something else to gripe about
Those Democrats and liberal Press just can't give up on Trump, they should have some patience
Sonner or later they will lock him up in Jail for some of his Dealings or put him in the loony Bin

I put out a nice big Bratwurst and Bun to thaw, later had that with Mustard and Horseradish and some Pasta Salad
And again later I made a small start on putting the Area Rug removed from the Living Room into the Hallway
That shouldn't be such a big job and that will be one of the projects for the Day, the Morning anyway

So, I'll post this and get an early Start on it, after I have my Coffee and Crossword puzzle

~ New Carpet Day Wednesday ~
~ Another Inside Work Day ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

So my new area Rug wasn't delivered Yesterday even though I saw it had arrived in Kansas City
I checked first thing today and saw that it said 'at the Kansas City Fedex Location' and looked like Wednesday was the Day
"Feb 08 6:45 AM On FedEx vehicle for delivery KANSAS CITY, MO"
So after finishing my Blog and Crossword and Coffee I started moving stuff out of the Room to make way
It is larger than the one in there now and most everything except the TV and Bookcases had to be moved

And getting most of my Morning Routine done before trotting off to the Price Chopper I started the move
Moved out two End Tables and the Coffee Table to my Bedroom, pushed and shoved the big old Chair to the Hall
That left the two new Chairs but I thought I could work them on to the new Rug as I laid it down

~ Old Area Rug before the Upgrade ~

And then I headed to the Price Chopper to trade in $20 of Winners for another try
Back to el Ranchito to scratch off a $5 and a $10 Win, what's with all these $15 Winners? Gimmee a BIG one!
And then it was Breakfast and just wait and watch until the new Rug was delivered, if and when
But before that, I rolled up the old Rug and stood it in the Hall, thinking to maybe use it there

And then wait and wait, I was online chatting with Sigi on Facebook Chat complaining about waiting
I told him it could be here at any Minute... and VOILA! Right at 10 a.m. down the Hill came the FedEx Truck
I stood in the open Door waiting as the guy unloaded it, lugged it to the Door, I said drop it right there
And he dropped it, I said Thank You and off he went and I dragged the Carpet inside to begin the long process

And with almost all the Furniture out of the Room you would think this would be easy, but it wasn't
I still had those Two new Chairs in the center of the Room and also that Runner under the Window with Plants on it
With the Carpet set against the Bookcases at one end, it would have to go under the runner at the other end
So I started in, set the edge of the Carpet against the TV Shelf and unrolled toward the Window
Got about two thirds there and then worked the big Chairs over and in front of the Carpet, then on to the Runner
It had to go about Eight Inches under the Runner so I had to move three big Pots and one Shelf... did that
Slipped the end of the Carpet under the Runner, put the Pots and Shelf back... ready to move the stuff back in

Moved in the big Old Chair, Three end Tables and the Coffee Table, hooked the Computer and Lamps back up
All done? Not quite, looked good for the most part but moving the Chairs around, moved the Carpet away from the TV Shelf
I had it even with the front of the Shelf to start but then it moved about Six inches from it and I don't want it that way

~ Living Room with the new Area Rug ~

So It looks pretty good and I like it, does the job I wanted but still needs some adjustment as of Thursday Morning
And so, this is the end of the Carpet Saga for Wednesday, to be continued in tomorrow's recital... See ya!

~ They said even Warmer for Tuesday ~
~ No Carpet Delivered Yet ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Tuesday Morning, started in the 40s, going to 54 they said, I could get used to that
Was 40 Plus when I headed to the Price Chopper for Lottos but felt much colder with that Wind
I was almost out of Tequila so I picked up a Bottle, greeted my Mexican friend Luis on the way to the Booze
Got my Lottos and headed back home to scratch off a nice $20 win, took that back to the Fast Stop
A little Chat with Navru and then traded for more Tickets, back this time for only a $15 Win
One last try, went back to the Price Chopper to trade again and this time only a $10 Win, time to quit

Then I was waiting for my new Carpet, they said delivery on the 7th or 8th, but it didn't show up
The rest of the Day was just puttering around with this and that, little chores and neatening up a bit
Only fair size project was moving TVs around, I had this older Vizeo 'Non-Smart' TV in the Kitchen
And had this new Samsung Smart TV hooked to my Computer, wasn't using it much at all for that
So I decided to swap TVs, put the New one in the Kitchen and get rid of the old one

~ Old TV ~ New TV ~

That wasn't as easy as you would think, had to move a Sound Bar too, and make a rest for the TV on top
The TV feet are wider than the Top of the Sound bar which is really a sound 'Box'...
But I found a board in the Pantry just the right size, stapled a nice black cloth cover on it
Set the Sound Bar on the Shelf, set the Board on top and set the TV on the board... Finito!

And that was it for the Day except for the Afternoon winding down, had TWO Margaritas while I was puttering around
Then had some Wine with Dinner so I was ready the hit the Sack pretty early and rest up for 'Rug Day' on Wednesday

~ A Little Warmer Day ~
~ A Little more Indoor Garden Rearranging ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, that was a lot of moving around on Sunday and I am still worn out on Monday Morning
But there sure can't be much more moving around except when that Area Rug gets here and that shouldn't be much
At first they said Two Day shipping, then changed it to delivery on Tuesday and then again to Thursday
But I checked online again and this Morning they say it arrived in Kansas City on Sunday at 9 a.m.
It now says Wednesday but I was thinking it just might show up Monday, but we shall see

And first thing again.... In the Kitchen I didn't quite like the way the Grow Lights looked over the second Shelf
There were Six individual one tube Fixtures lighting that area, and I had One large two tube Grow Light idle
So I removed the Six and replaced them with the single large fixture and the total light looks about the same
I had to do some wiring rerouting and Shelf arrangement and sfter that, again I like the result better

I had the old AeroGarden Grow Light fixture hanging on the front of that Shelf, lighting the plants below
Since I moved the Cabinet from under the TV there was room to put two more Plants under that
So I moved the AeroGarden Light and hung it below the TV to give those Plants sone light

~ A Change in the Kitchen Plant Lighting ~

Moving along, this turned out to be another kind of work Day, I took a break to run to the Price Chopper
For those necessities ya know, TP, Paper Towels and Dial Bath Soap, have to keep it clean around here
And I traded in another $20 of Winners for another try, back home to scratch off a $15 Win, Oh well

OK, back to work, I still had those Two huge Boxes the Chairs came in sitting out on the Veranda
Way to big to shove into the Dunpster so I got my Box Cutter and performed Surgery, then they fit great
Toted those to the Dumpster, there was still a loy of packing stuff left including a big sack that had covered the Chairs
So I loaded all that stuff into the sack and then dragged that to the Dumpster and heaved it in... Done with that!

Almost Noon, then what, warm but sure Dark and Dreary outside... Went back out to start Sweeping Leaves off the Porch
The Maintenance was wokring at the next Building, when he came out he saw me sweeping away
He stopped over to say he would be bringing his Blower to blow all the Leaves out, fine but I did get them off my Porch

And so, into the afternoon, no more Apartment or Garden rehab for the rest of te Day, just idle along
Enjoying my new seating in the new Chairs, they are so so comfortable, more so than my old Couch or the Futon
I am not quite used to the way the new arrangement works but I do like te TV viewing a lot better

Well now, it is Tuesday Morning, off to the new warmer Day and no work projects in sight

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~

~ Another Garden Change Coming ~
~ And a Warmer Day for Sunday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And so, up early but not s bright yet at 5 a.m. And more Indoor Garden changes on the way already
I thought most all was done after getting the new Chairs and moving the TV, well there is the new Carpet to do
But overnight, just when escapes me, I was thinking about where I could move the Shelf in the Living Room
It looks kind of cramped now behind the Chairs, and I don't get the view of the Plants now from my new viewing position
So first thing I did some measuring, and it could fit in the Kitchen next to the Shelf there
The TV and the Cabinet it sits on would have to be moved, the TV could go back on the Shelf and te Cabinet to the Hall

~ Soon, Moved From There ~ To Here ~

Hardest Part would be moving the AeroGardens now on the Shelf, very heavy with over a Gallon of Water inside eash one
They could be emptied for a short time, then the Water replaced after placing them in the new Location
OK, so the Idea is there, and look out, looks like it is going to happen... Go GO GO!

And so, no grass growing under my Feet... Finished and Posted my Blog, checked my Computer Stuff, worked the online Crossword
And at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, started the move, first the TV onto the Kitchen Table and the Cabinet into the Hall
Then back in the Living Room to siphon all the Water out of Garden 7, dump it, then empty the Garden 6
Dumped that one, took the Gardens to the Kitchen Table, back to the Living Room to adjust the Shelf
Took all the Plants off the Bottom Shelf, raised the top shelf as high as it would go, the second shelf to fit the TV Height
Then took the shelf to the Kitchen, installed Garden 6 and 7 on the Top Shelf, then the TV on the second Shelf
Hooked everything up there, filled the Gardens with new Water and Nutrient and set the Timers, all that done by 9 a.m.

Then a break with the Living Room TV for a rest before the second half, then back to the Project in front
I vacummed the Strip Rug where the Shelf was, then set the Orange Trees and Canna Plant there on Trays, next to Garden 5
Emptied the Water from that one and took it to Kitchen to set it on top of the Second Shelf there
Filled it wth Water and Nutrient, set the Tiomer and then all done in the Kitchen by 10 a.m.

Final step, Moved the small Shelf back on the Strip Rug, the Basil Pot back on that and added a Lamp to the Shelf
Moved the Chairs back and then all finished at 10:30 a.m. a simple job but not all that easy at that

~ New Living Room Look ~ New Kitchen Look ~

OK, 11:30 a.m. and kinda pooped after all that moving but I like the way it looks, but for how long?
Decided to head down to the Fast Stop for my Lottos, asked Navru if he wanted my Printer with a problem
My Dell V725W with a Print Head problem, I told him what I thought might be wrong with it, told him how to fix it
As for me, I have the new Brother and I like it, they say the Ink usage is very good and it does wht I want
My Dell needs a good out of the Printer 'physical' Print Head Cleanng or maybe a new Print Head to solve the Problem
So he said yes, he would like to have it, so the next trip there I'll take it, and this trip I only won $10 in Scratchers

OK, that's it for this Sunday Report, looks like a nice warm Afternoon and just TV, a Cocktail and a good Dinner

~ Sunny and slightly Warmer ~
~ A quiet Inside Day ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Saturday Morning, 30 Degrees at 9 a.m. Forecast says Sunny, well it was at 8 a.m. and then it got dark and gloomy
Maybe 47 today, 49 Sunday but Monday and Tuesday Glorious... going to almost 60, my type of Winter Weather
Ran off to the Minit Mart first thing for Lottos but the Well was dry... no winners, maybe later

Well, Living Room all done except for the area Rug and they backed that off again until Thursday
And now... Nutty me, I want another Clock for the Living Room, like I need one really Bad... HAH!
I have a little souvenir Clock on one shelf that an IBM Manager gave out about 40 years ago
Then one in each of the AeroGardens there, my 25th Year IBM Clock on a Table, my big round Clock above the TV
The Regulator Chime Clock my Brother gave me and a repro Railroad Clock I bought is on the third Wall
But no Clock on the Fourth Wall, looks bare, might get one of those Huge Wall Clocks for that spot

And speaking of Clocks, let's center that Clock above the TV, plugged in my Drill and found a Screw
Measured carefully, drilled a Hole, screwed in a Screw, hung the Clock on the Screw, Wah Lah!
Now it is in the center! Can anyone but me tell the difference... anyway, makes me happy

~ The Clock is now in the exact Center between the Bookcases ~

Kind of catching up on the TV, heard a Car pull up out front, my friend Bob the Mechanic
Opened the Door, he had a gift in Hand, looked like a Bottle and it surely was, one good Gift deserves another
I gave him my Futon, just as he was looking for a Sofa to buy and he brings me a bottle of my Favorite Bourbon
There are several fine Bourbons I like but don't spend the money on, and 'Wild Turkey 101' is one of my best Choices

He came in, had a seat, I opened the Bottle, Oh what an aroma! Poured us a drink, neat over Ice
You don't want to dilute the great flavor of Wild Turkey with Soda or another mix, it is just great as is!

~ My Gift of Wild Turkey 101 from my Friend Bob ~

On into the sunny Afternoon, put out a Lotto Prize Burger to thaw for later, back to the TV to sip my Bourbon
And catch up on the non-news, those people that didn't bother to Vote and now want to kick out the Winner
Just can't really see that marching out in the Street to Protest does any good, but... no Political Comment much from me

Another TV afternoon, Dinner with Evening TV... and liking the new TV Setup, now what new change is coming?

~ New Chairs Delivered Today? ~
~ SS Check in the Bank... Whoopee! ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Friday Morning and still waiting and also will be waiting Saturday Morning, Chairs today, Rug Tomorrow
And then... Will I finally be satisfied with my Room rearrangement, probably not, always changing things
But this last one has been the biggest change in many Years, little ones almost weekly or more often
I started thinking about changing the TV Positon some years back, finally went for it
And so far I like the new viewing position, more like Theater seating with the Stage in the Center
Farther away from the TV but feel you are right in the action, rather than looking in from the side

So Morning Routine finished I was about to head out, saw the FedEx Truck at the top of the Hill
My delivery? No he went into a Building up there, then headed out, maybe my Truck comes later
They usually show up around Midday, so I headed out early to the Price Chopper and bought a Full pack of Tickets
And when I got back two big Boxes were out in front of my place... My Chairs were here

I thought I would go ahead and work my pack of Tickets first, usually only win about half back but you never know
And I got a pack of those new '7' Cards, they are fast to work, just look for 7s and 77s
About halfway through the Pack I got 15 '7s' for $77 and that would be the biggest win in the Pack
When finished with the 60 Tickets I had a Total win of $216, not bad, only lost $84, better than usual for a full pack
But that isn't a total loss at that... I have that $216 worth of Winners to try to get ahead of the Game

~ Biggest win in a Pack of 60 Cards ~

Ok then, time to start on my Chairs, I didn't think when I ordered them they would need to be assembled
But now almost everything you buy online must be assembled in one way or another, makes shipping cheaper for them
This time it looked easy... Slip the Chair Back down between the Arms and screw in the Bolts, then bolt on the Feet
Well it did not turn out so easy... Two clips on the side of the Back were supposed to slip into two on the Arms
But... The Back was a bit too wide and didn't want to slip between the Arms, took some heavy forcing to do that
Finally after some time and a couple rest breaks I finally got the back fastened on, then the Feet went on easy

Then time for a longer break until I got ready to hassle with the second Chair, should be easier after the first try
But it suere was not, the clips would just not go togetehr, a close look, one of the Clips was screwed on wrong
So I took out the Screws, drilled new holes, repositioned that Clip and finally got the back on, then the Feet and DONE!

~ First Chair Assembled and Ready ~

Then finished out the rest of the Day, making some changes in things as I tried out the Chairs in the new Positon
And I do like the TV Position a lot better, but makes the Room seem smaller, but just about right for an old Bachelor

~ New Living Room Arrangement ~

For the moment, before I think up something else to change, that should do it except have the new Rug on the way
They first said it would be Saturday, but later changed it to Tuesday delivery, well I can live with that
That shouldn't be too big a hassle, just move out the Coffee Table, Three Chairs and lay the Rug down and put the stuff back
And then we will all live happily ever after... Until I think up something else to change around

~ New Chairs to be Delivered on Thursday ~
~ One More Pay Day on Friday ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Thursday Morning and back to the Cold Weather... brrrrrrrrr... 21 Degrees at 7 a.m. Had to crank of the heat a bit
It might get all the way back up to Freezing today they say, a High of 32... WOW! Well nothing I have to outside
Except to run up to the Price Chopper to try again for that BIG ONE I have been waiting for about 30 Years
The first Missouri Lottery sales begin with the instant game, "Jackpot '86." in 1986... I retired from IBM in 1987
And have been scratching Lottos ever since and the biggest ever was $1,000 I won in July 2016

So, nothing much for today until my new Chairs get here, should be about Midday... That's when FedEx usually comes
Then I will set them in positon, move the big Chair and see how that looks, might be some minor revisions after that
And so on to the long Day, time seems to drag when I an waiting for something new

OK, now waiting a Day longer than their first guess, now they say my Chairs will come on Friday the 3rd
And I thought up another addition to my Room overhaul, a new area Rug, looked online, saw a couple I liked
So I headed over to Walmart to see what they had in Stock, well, several that might do but not just what I wanted
And back home to get online again and then back and forth deciding between two that I liked, both priced at $130
Decided on one and then ordered it and lookee, when I went to the Cart the price had been lowered to $89... Suoer!
So the CHaris come on Friday, I hope and then the new Rug on Saturday the 4th... again... they 'say'

And checking out my new 'Entertainment Center' Wall, maybe you knew I have an 'Symetrical' fixation... I like things 'even'
Or you might say 'balanced'... I keep Cropping Photos to get things level and even in most of my Photos
From where my new chair will be, the TV and Bookcases are slightly more toward one Wall than exactly even
And the Clock between the Bookcases is off Center maybe a couple Inches, which no one but me would notice
Am I going to move all that stuff again to get it centered on that Wall?... Maybe I can talk myself into living with it

How far off? I had to go measure, I did measure where I needed to put the Clock hanger, must have made a mistake then
So how far off Center does that Clock look? Well it is about 3 inches to the Right, easy enough to correct that
And another look at where the new Carpet will be, it doesn't look like I will have to move the Bookcases and TV again

~ Clock is 3 Inches off Center to the Right ~ Big Deal... Huh? ~

So all the action, what little there was, all done in the Morning, then on into a slow and quiet afternoon
Same old Afternoon and Evening and now... Friday Morning and I will go check my Chair delivery... if and when

~ Pay Check is in the Bank! ~
~ Income Tax Refund is in the Bank! ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well yes, very Happy to start the Day when I checked the Bank, my IBM Check was there as it always is on the First
And this time an extra Bonus, my Income Tax Refund was also there as they promised, not much but every little bit helps

No great plans for the Day but looking toward getting that Futon out, then my Chairs in on Thursday
And also when I get in the Mood I can start entering loser Tickets again, I had reached the 5,000 Point limit per month
Lessee other than that... Launder my T-shirts and Shorts and also the new Bedding for the first time, then what?

Checking Facebook Messenger this Morning, Mein Freund Sigi Wulle sent me a catchy Song
Sort of like the 'Truck Stop - Take it Easy' Song he sent earlier
Well now I like this one better than the first one, Them Nazis do Country Music perty goood...

So, Wednesday Morning, 36 Degrees topping at 43, cooler today, I sure am getting tired of that!
Well though, it is February and March is on the Way, more Happy Days! I do like to be HAPPY!
And to start, checked the Bank, checked my Mail, checked Facebook, finished and posted my Blog
Clothes into the Washer, then the Dryer, then the Bedding into the Washer, into the Dryer
Clothes out of the dryer, some folded and into the Drawer, Shirts on hangers and then into the Closet
And still only 9 a.m. Time for some Biscuits and Gravy and Morning TV

Checking the Peppers again in Garden 5 and 6, the 'Sweet Pickling Peppers' in Garden 5 are getting some Color
More showing up every Day now... And now the 'Red Popper Peppers' in Garden 6 are blooming and setting fruit
The Pickling Peppers grow about 1 Inch long they say and the Red Poppers about 1 1/2 Inch, a bit bigger

~ Peppers in Garden 5 getting some Color ~ Now Peppers in Garden 6 Blooming ~

On to the long Day, won some lost most, then doing a little straightening around in the Living Room
Waiting for my friend Bob to come after the Futon, having a Margarita and some TV in my new viewing spot
Finally a Call, 'We are on the way' and Bob and Son showed up around 5:30 p.m. Backed their Truck to the Curb
A little discussion, advice how to get it out the Door and then away they went carrying it out
Frame first, Matress second, set it in the Truck, then I got a photo of Bob tying it down for the Ride

~ Futon Packed up and Leaving ~

They headed off into the Evening, I put my Dinner on to heat and back to the TV with a Glass of Vino Tinto
Now all left to do on the Living Room remake is wait for the new Chairs coming later on Thursday
And that was one more Day of the few I have left to use up... Away we go to another one

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

And what for Tuesday? The great Living Room project is on hold until Wednesday and Thursday
Looking for Bob to come and haul off the Futon on Wednesday and the new Chairs come on Thursday
Meanwhile I can enjoy the new view from the TV in it's new Location and so far I like it

Then, 8 a.m. and off to the Fast Stop to chase the Rainbow again... And Navru said he got his Laptop fixed... Great!
So I bought my Tickets and headed back, they had a new Ticket and of course I had to have one of those
I think it is ugly, big 7 on top made with Roses, not so bad, but all those ugly black circles below
But really easy to work, only scratch off one 'button' at a time to find a 7 or 77 or Money Bags
And it happened that I bought Ticket Number 007, and then Scratched off a 7 for $7 and a 77 for a Double $10!

~ Ticket Number 007 for a 7 and a 77 ~

So I took my Winnings back to the Minit Mart and traded for more and didn't win anything again
I got another one of those new 7 Cards, and see they change the design several times as the Cards are sold
I liked the look of that Card better but it was just a loser this time... so sad...

When I got back I got a knock on the Door, it was the Maintenance Manager here and he asked for a favor... Why Sure
He wanted me to accompany him to the nextr building, he wanted to check the Apartment after the Renter there just died recently
Wanted me to be a Witness that he didn't take anything from the Apartment while checking things
On an earlier occasion when another Renter died, they accused him of taking the TV which of course he would not do

And on through the rest of the boring Day, just getting little things straightened out after the move
My friend Bob dropped in later in the afternoon to check the Futon, he liked it, said he would be back Wednesday to get it
And I got an Email that said my new Chairs had been shipped and would be here Thursday, looking for that for sure

And so, things looking good I had some Dinner and off again to dreamland and looking for a Super Wednesday!
