~ Marigold Seeds for another Experiment ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Monday Morning, just a tad warmer Morning at 44 but only going to 66 later, but 70s on Tuesday maybe
So what's for today, sure not much for Sunday, spent a lot of time looking for old Pictures I didn't have
I started taking Photos about age 12 but didn't get a lot of the Photos I want now for my new (Old) Video
I spent a lot of time Sunday trying to find the ones I wanted and did come up with a few
But that sure was a boring lot of time on the search and then editing the Photos I found

OK, what today and another Experiment... What are those little Black tipped Needles up there in the Pic?
Well I was readng online about Marigold Seeds and how easy to harvest them and then to save and plant
And I have several Pots where I planted things recently that didn't show up, so... Here we go again
Those Seeds didn't cost anything and those pots are already filled with Soil so... Away we go

So I didn't get around to planting any of those Seeds, just wasn't in a Gardening mood, I did work on my Video
I spent a lot of time just adding a bit more stuff, not as easy as just editing a complete Camera Video
Just finding, editing and then adding a still Photo at a time, takes a lot more time and I did get into it on Monday
There is just so much in my History that adding even a Photo at a time is tedious... Thought about just giving up on it

Anyway nothing else going on most all Day, the same old Routine Morning, then Afternoon and Evening
I did spend some time on making some Pasta Sauce, found some Tomato Puree in the Freezer from last Year
I thawed that out, simmered it down, added more good stuff and Spices and ended up with a tasty Sauce
I had a Smoked Bratwurst, dumped it in the Tomato Sauce to simmer up nicely, boiled some Spaghetti
Assembled a plateful of that concoction to go with my Evening Movie, nice, and more left for several more Meals
Always cook way too much more than I can eat, at least I don't starve around here

So now, halfway through November, and what's for Tuesday? Again not a clue, more on that Video? Nah... I am not eager for that

~ Starting a New Video Project ~
~ A History of Me ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Last Picking ~ Not a Harvest ~ Of the Better Boys Tomatoes ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The last little Green Tomatoes that didn't make it for Season 16, the Freeze would get them next Weekend
Not a 'Harvest' because they are too small, too green and too hard for any cooking use, just tossed them
And on to another Day just like the last Four or Five, Cool Morning, Warm Afternoon, not much to do

Nothing on the Agenda but I thought of starting on a Video of the places I have lived the last 80 Years or so
Just for me and my Memories, no one else would be much interested, but interesting for me to try

So I started looking for the Six Places I lived in Kansas City before joining the USAF, then in Saint Joseph afterward
No use looking for the first place, all I know is that it was an Apartment and I didn't know where, just on Brooklyn Avenue
And then the first House my Dad rented, had the Address, looked it up an Google Maps and it was gone, just an empty lot
I did find the next Three places, got Screen Shots Photos but again the Fouth and last place was also gone

~ The Five Addresses where I lived in Kansas City ~

Then I wanted to find Photos of the Schools I attemded in Kansas City, I found Kensington Elementary, the First
Next I found an old Photo of Ashland Elementary I took on a nostalgia tour of the old neighborhood way back when, low quality but...
And that was after the School was closed and all boarded up, now it is all gone, just an empty lot
Then East High School a few years back, again on that same tour, can't remember what Camera I was using back then
I suppose I could take another tour and try to get HD Video of all those places but a lot of trouble doing that

~ My Schools in Kansas City ~ Kensington, Kindergarden to Grade 5 ~ Ashland Grade 6 and 7 ~ East High 9 to 12 ~

Anyway that kept me busy a few Hours until again I got bored and tried to find something else to do
Then just another rather routine Afternoon and Evening, managed to stay up just a little longer, but not mich

~ Popcorn Roses still Blooming ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

On the way back in on Friday I noticed the Rose Bushes at the side of the Building were really full of Blooms
So I snipped a Bowlful to adorn my Coffee Table so I could enjoy them at TV Time
And I posted that Photo on Facebook for the Ladies there to enjoy also... and they did with Compliments

Another very cool Morning Saturday at 39 Degrees but again warming in the Afternoon, but only to the high 50s
Looks like Warmer Mornings for next Week with the first Freeze due next Saturday, I am in no hurry for that

And so, what for Gardening on Saturday? Might get out back and clean out the Tomato Bed, the last one
Inside? Not much going on, One Tomato Plant in AeroGarden 5 is really getting with it
I hope that 'Micro Tom' Plant isn't going to be taller than the Grow Light

~ 'Micro Tom' Plant in AeroGarden 5 ~

And the Jalapenos in Gardens 6 and 7 have no place higher to go, sneaking past the Grow lights now
And touching the ceiling, If it was warm outside now I could put them out to really let loose
Apparently they are a diferent type of Jalapeno Pepper, the first ones I planted there were not as tall

~ Jalapenos Climbing and no place to Go ~

But getting a bit tired of waiting for the Lettuce Crop in the Kitchen Three Pod Gardens
Planted Lettuce Seeds in two Pods in each Garden on November 1st, nothing showing since then
Checked Garden 1 Saturday Morning again... What's this... a little Green Dot! Finaly decided to germinate?
Then checked Garden 3, and maybe there is one there too, took a lot longer than Lettuce usually does

~ Lettuce finally Germinating in the Three Pod Gardens ~

And then off to seek my Fortune again, and I got some Winners... I won a $5, $10, $10, $10 and a $20
A $55 Total but subtract the cost of the Tickets and I lost $5... But I had $5 worth of fun trying

Back Home on another just so nice Sunny Day, another Day in November... to Remember...
One more Bed to clean out back so I headed out to do that.. and to mulch the Two Garlic Plants
I got some mulch I had dunped in the Side Beds, took that back, dumped it around each of the Garlic Plants

~ Garlic Plants Mulched ~

And then started cleaning out the Tomato Bed and a much bigger job than the other three so far
Lots of thick Tomato Branches and quite a lot of Cucumber Vines that had climbed over the Cage
But I kept going, got them all down, raked most of the stuff out of the Bed, now ready to turn over the Soil

~ Tomato Bed to Clean ~ Tomato Bed Cleaned ~

Then Noon Thirty and time to head back in catch up the Blog again... And next... 'What's for Dinner?'
On through a very slow TV Afternoon and Evening, after my brief Outing it was just another boring Day
I had some Snacks, later some foraging, even later I popped a Bowl of Popcorn for the Movie
And then off to bed way too early, this Time Change still messing me up some

Sunday now? Woke up during then ight with an Idea for anoher boring Video... just for me, but will be fun trying to do it<
Off to get rid of the rest of this Weekend so I can start a new Week

~ Flags out for Veterans Day ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Where did Friday Morning go? Nowhere... but it was gone by Noon, what to do next?
Another Sunny and mild Novenber Day so I headed out back again to clean up some more stuff for next Spring
The Target for Friday was the 'Pepper Bed', I have names for them but I plant other stuff in those too
In that Bed I grew Turnips, Swiss Chard, Peppers and Cucumbers with fair results and tried Growing Eggplants with no success
So a good half hour or more and I had that Bed pretty well clear, will need the Soil turned in Spring

~ Another Bed to Clean ~ Another Bed Cleaned ~

And when I got that Bed pretty well cleaned out I could see the Garlic Experiment I planted last Spring
The Plants started good, then sort of died away in the hot Weather... Now what are they going to do this Winter
I read that if you plant the Cloves in Fall and Mulch them well, they will start to grow next Spring
I don't know if that would work with the early planting but worth a try just for the interest

~ Garlic Cloves Planted in Spring ~

Back in to finish out the Afternoon... A Cocktail, then decide 'Whats for Dinner', so much good stuff in the Fridge and Freezer
And trying to use up some of the good stuff in the Freezer I spotted a container of Beef Stew
Thawed that out, into the Pot to heat up, dished up a bowl of that tasty Stew and some Snack Crackers
And that then finished up another good Day in Duckland... Quack Quack...

Another Chilly Morning, 38 Degrees aT 6 A.M. Winter is finally sneaking in, I am not in any hurry for it
They are still saying that first Freeze will be Saturday November 19th, much later than usual
Some more nice Weather coming until then, I'll use some of it out back cleaning out Garden Beds

Decided to dice and freeze the rest of the Tomatoes on the Table, I saved out the Three largest
Ground them up in the Food Processor and then another Box of Tomato Puree for the Freezer, have lots in there

~ Last of the 2016 Tomatoes ~ Ready for the Freezer ~

Got a little bored about Noon-Thirty and headed out back on that Cool but Gorgeous Afternoon
Thought I woud clean out the Cucumber Bed, easy enough and about 20 Minutes later I headed back in
Now at next Planting time I'll just need to turn over the Soil, rake smooth and plant

~ Another Bed to Clean ~ Another Bed Cleaned ~

And look what I found growing in that Cucumber Bed... I planted that go nowhere Crop of Radishes last March 7th
And this little Jewel waited until November to pop up, well I picked it and tiny as it is I will eat it!

~ A tiny Radish Surprize in the Cucumber Bed! ~

OK, Two p.m. and time to Margarita up and plan for Dinner and I had an Idea, I started the Tomato Season with a BLT
What about another one to finish it out with the last of my 2016 Tomato Crop? I had Tomatoes, Bacon and Lettuce
And a big Kaiser Roll I could Toast and assemble a big BLT on that... Maybe some Tater Salad on the Side?

And I started in on the Potato Salad, Potatoes peeled, sliced and in the Pot, Eggs on to Boil
Chopped Onions, my home made Relish instead of Sweet Pickles, some Celery seed
Potatoes out of the Pot, drained and into the Bowl, in with the Onions and Relish, Salt Pepper
Then Dressing of Spin Blend, Mustard, stirred in and then added the Sliced Eggs, some Paprika

So Dinner time approaching I sliced my ripe Tomato, trimmed some Lettuce, warmed up the Bacon
Toasted a Kaiser Roll, then Lettuce and Bacon on the Roll, Tomato and Spin Blend on top

~ BLT from the last Tomatoes from 2016 ~

Then toted that Masterpiece along with a dish of fresh Potato Salad back to the TV to finish out the Day
And oh my, my... That Potato Salad really turned out Tasty! And the BLT... Excellent, the best this Year!

The BLT I made frn the firsat Harvest was fine.. but this one a lot Better... stuff just happens that way

OK Veterans Day on Friday, let's go put out the Flag

So, I don't do any Politics much on my Blog or Web Pages but today is an exception, I had no Idea he would win
But it looks like the EVIL that is in that Woman finally got to most of the Public, most do not know her History
And Trump was certainly not anywhere near my First Choice but all the good guys fell out of the Race
So this is the last word on this Subject from me for a few Days, and we shall see what we shall see

On to a really Chilly Morning at 37 Degrees... Well Mike Thompson said we might get some scattered Frost
But I harvested all of my last stuff from the outside Beds on Tuesday so all is well
When I went out to take the Blazer to get my Lottos, the Windshield was Iced up, had to clear it
Then on to the Price Chopper, got my Lottos and only won $5... This has to cease! I want some riches for a change!
And back to finish out the rest of this Chilly Day, looking for a top in the 60s they say

OK, harvesting all done for the Season out back, but the back Beds needed to get prepped for next Season
I decided to start on the Cantaloupe Bed, next Year to be the Pumpkin Bed, maybe better luck with those
I headed out back in bright Sunshine about 11:30 a.m. Only 55 Degrees but comfy in a Sweatshirt
Flipped over the Cage and raked all the Vines and Leaves and Underlayment out and down into the Ditch
This Year I had planted the Cantaloupes in two 'Hills' that I had filled with Potting Soil
For next Year I thought one 'Hill' would be enough so I dug a hole in the center of the Bed, dug out the Soil
Then I moved the Potting Soil from the last years two hills to fill the center hole and heaped it up
And now the first Bed is all ready for next Spring, and planting some Pumpkins to try again for a Pie next Year

~ Cleaned out the Cantaloupe Vines ~ Made a 'Hill' for the Pumpkins ~

That was all the outside doings, back inside to putter away the rest of the Day, not much going on
I did grind up the Peppers I just picked and some that were in the Fridge, now all in the Freezer
No special Cooking projects, no special Dinner, no special Afternoon... No special Evening... Ho Hum...
Well that was enough of post Election Day, on to whatever comes next

~ Voting for President ~ And not much of a Choice ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Again, got up too early, my Body Clock is still not reset... I do everything an hour earlier than I did before Saturday
I don't have a Schedule but I tend to go to sleep and get up about the same time with no Alarm setting
I haven't set any wake up Alarm for the last 16 years or so, who needs it?

Anyway with my Morning Routine done I headed first down to the Church... Me go to Church? Well when I vote
And there wasn't much of a Crowd and no line when I went in, they have a fast new way of checking People in
And they had more people doing the Job too, So I got my Ballot and chose a Booth and filled out my Sheet
And I was back in the Blazer and headed to the Price Chopper in about Ten Minutes!

All I needed at the Price Chopper was a few Winner Lottos, and they were out of Stock of Winners for my Day
So back Home, again no Plans, but I wanted to check out back one more time, sure not much left
But there were a few small Peppers on the Poblano Plant I transplanted out there, picked those

~ A few Peppers from the Plant I transferred to the Tomato Bed ~

And one small Tomato, So I picked that, I can wait for it to ripen or grind it up to add to the other green ones
There are Three or Four others maybe an Inch across, but they don't have time to do anything,.. So the Season is closed

~ The last 'Better Boys' Tomato picked November 8th, 2016 ~

And that should be the last Gardening out there until Spring... except for cleaning out the Beds
It has been a long, successful and fun way to keep me occupied the last several Months, I like to grow things
I am pretty well finished outside but I have a lot of things in my indor Gardens to entertain me some this Winter
And I am already getting Ideas for the Gardening outside for next Season

Then the Afternoon was mostly spent just redoing a couple of so-so Recipe experiments and somewhat Successfully
I headed to the Price Chopper for some canned Whole Grain Corn and Cream of Chicken Soup
First was that batch of Creamed Corn I did in the Crock Pot, tasted OK but was too thick with way too much Cream Cheese
I dumped all that was left into a Pot and added two Cans of whole Grain Corn and let it warm up
I tried some for Dinner and that did it, it was a lot better after my redo

And then the Chicken Pot Pie I made from my Crock Pot 'Beer Can' Chicken, tasted OK but too dry
So I added Cream of Chicken Soup to the several pieces that were left and that also solved that Problem

And then my Margarita and afternoon TV stuff overdone with way too much Election Coverage, most seem to root for HER
I dreaded having that Evil Woman dominating the news for the next four Years and had little hope otherwise
Anyway, Dinner time and some Smoked Chicken and some of that redone Creamed Corn and it was an OK Dish

And I got tired of the Political stuff, put an old Colombo TV Episode on to finish out the Day
I wasn't enthused about my Repubican Candidate and even though I wanted a Republican to win, I had little hope

So then it was Goodnight Irene.... Good Night... I'll see you in my Dreams

~ A Visit from Patricia ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ My New 'Smart' Blu-ray DVD Player ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Monday... Yeah, this time switch really has me messed up for now, went to bed too early, got up too early
Been up Two Hours now and it is only 5:30 a.m. It will take a Day or Ten to get me used to it this Year
I have most always wished that they would just leave the Clocks alone...

OK.. Now Tuesday Morning, can you believe, I didn't take any Photos on Monday... What goes?
Well nothing to start and the only event of the Day mostly was anther Visit from my neighbor Pat
So nothing going on all morning, I set out for my Fortune, traded in a $15 Ticket... and won $15 back
Went back to trade that one in, while I was in front of the Price Chopper I got a call
It was Pat, she had a problem with the Blu-ray Player I sold her, had told her I would take a look
She said Monday would be a good day for that, and I told her I would stop in on the way back

Stopped in, took a look at the Player, only two Cables, can't hook it up wrong, tried the Remote
The Power light was on the Player was on but when you hit the Power button nothing would happen... Bad remote?
The Player would not power on, the Loading Door wouldn't open, So I took it Home with me
Checked the Remote Batteries, they were fine, I had replaced them when I first gave it to her
So it was a bad Remote or something wrong in the Player, there wssn't a separate Power button so I was stuck

Well, I had another Blu-ray Player, decided I would buy me a later Model and that one could replace the bad One for her
And I check the the Players online at Walmart, Hah! So many and at such lower Prices, I had paid $350 for my first one
Several models were available at the Store so I headed out to get me a newer fancier one
And quite a lineup, Prices starting around $35 or so, the best Samsung was at $119, looked good to me
So when I got back I called Pat, said she could come get the Sony I had, she mentioned she wanted to visit anyway

She said she would be down soon and I hooked up the new Player to check it out, and it IS a 'Smart' player
Pat showed up and we began another afternoon of Videos, TV, Computers, Blog Pages, just a bit of everything
That lasted until about 4 p.m. Then time to pack up the Blu-ray Player for her, add some more Pickles to take
A pretty good Handful and she had walked over so I offered a Ride back up the Hill, loaded the Mercedes and away we went

And that was all the excitement for the Day, on to Dinner Time, what to heat up, so much stuff here
Decided to try to pep up that Pot Pie I made, and a little Crock Pot Creamed Corn to go with it
I put a hunk of the Pie on a Plate, chunked it up a little and added some Chicken Stock, into the Microwave
Out to sample for Dinner and that Stock did the trick, was too dry to start, that made it moist and tasty
A lot better than the Day I made it so I'll have some Chicken Pot Pie for a few more Meals looks like

And Today off to Voting Tuesday, not my favorite activity to go stand in line but I still do it every time
Not a pleasant choice this time either... but I'll just hold my nose and vote... I already think my choice has lost

~ Ever Onward and Upward! ~

~ Two more Seedlings in AeroGarden 5 ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sunday Morning again, what Today? Hoping for more of a 'something' Day instead of another 'nothing' Day
Looks like we are in for another fairly pleasant Day, cool Morning, Warmer Afternoon, but no 70s for the next Week
But Old Man Winter seems to now be creeping slowly in and it be gonna get COLD! And I ain't gonna like that

But back inside, slow to start but finally a couple more Pepper Seedlings in Aerogarden 5
But that one with the Seed Cap still on will have to go, only one Pepper Plant per Pod please

And then the Jalapenos in AeroGardens 6 and 7, Grow Lights all the way up at 24 Inches
But the Peppers wanted to grow taller, must be a different kind than the ones I planted last time
The instructions say to prune if necessary but there are a lot of Blooms on those top Stems
So I thought I would just see what they would do, I did get a nice Pepper Crop on the others I tried

~ Jalapenos with No Place to Go ~

And what about all those harvested Tomatoes on the Kitchen Table in all stages of ripeness?
Seems most of the larger ones are ripening nicely, I grab a nice ripe on to eat now and then
A lot of the smaller ones won't ripen and it's time to grind them up and freeze for whatever use later
So that made a very small Project about 10 a.m. on Sunday

~ The last Tomatoes marching to Ripeness ~

So, I ground up all the smallest and greenest Tomatoes, and it did make quite a Freezer Box Full
Put it in the Freezer, now have a box of Green Peppers, a box of Poblano Peppers and box box of Green Tomatoes, ground up

Best Harvest lately for Tomatoes and Pepper and Cucumbers, lots on the Freezer to use for whenever

~ Some Ground up Green Tomatoes for Something Later ~

And after the Tomato Grind and Storing... What then? I came up the Idea of Chicken Pot Pie, was I watching a Commercial or what?
Anyway, I checked a few Recipies, don't remember if I made that before, if I did it was a long time ago
So I had most of that stuff, had lots of Chicken, needed Chicken Stock and more Butter and Carrots
Off to the Price Chopper for that, then back to start in, a couple boxes of Chicken out to thaw
Diced up Carrots, Celery, Green Pepper and Onion, into the Pot with Olive Oil and Butter
Let that simmer a little, added a little Flour and Chicken Stock and then the Chicken and stirred it all up
Some Salt, Pepper and a little Basil and a pinch of Turmeric, let that all heat up... Tossed in a little Chopped Tomato

And later.... When all was warm and melded... The Filling dumped into my big Glass Pie Plate
Then a refrigerated Pie Crust carefully arranged on top and into the Oven for an Hour or so
And out of the Oven to get a Photo and then later... serve up some for Dinner

~ Freshly Baked Chicken Pot Pie to enjoy for Dinner ~

Then I was ready for the Finale of the Day and the Weekend... Cocktail, TV and Dinner and an old Movie
I dished up about a Fourth of that Chicken Pie to fill my Plate, poured a Glass of Vino Tinto and back to the TV
The Pie report, sort of routine, was OK but not one of my rave successes and nothing to write home about
It turned out kind of bland, maybe some of my spicy Salsa would help, amyway the rest is in the Freezer for later

Now the Weekend is gone and my Favorite Day (besides Pay Day) is back, Monday starts my world again
As usual nothing planned but let's go try to get something going anyway

~ Stored that Big Chicken in the Freezer ~
~ A Very Quiet Saturday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ All that Big Chicken fit in the Boxes ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Another cool late Fall Morning but Sunny and 64 Degrees at Noon... Just a little chilly out there
But nothing to do outside except run around for my Lottos and I did that to no avail
I decided to chop up the Beer Can Chicken to store for later, took a look and I needed some little Boxes
So I went back to the Price Chopper to get a Six Pack of a size that looked about right
Then back to attack that big fat Bird, worked at it to debone and cut it up to fit in the Boxes
I was soon done with that and it just filled the Six little Boxes I chose for the Job
Five Boxes into the Freezer, one in the Fridge for a big Chicken Sandwich later in the Day

Not much else going on, just puttering around, I set a few more Clocks, think I got them all
A tiny bit of Garden rearrranging, there were two Tomato plants in Garden 4, one much taller
So I decided to move it to Garden 5 so I could keep the Grow Light lower for the shorter Plant
There are now two germinated pepper plants in that Garden 5, I put the Tomato plant in the front center Pod

~ Transplanted Tomato Plant from Garden 4 ~

Later I added some of my Salsa and some BBQ Sauce to a box of that Chicken and heated it up for a Sandwich
Dumped half of that mix on a huge Kaiser Roll, some Slaw and Chips and back to the TV
And that Chicken Recipe was tasty enough but not all that spectacular like they were claiming online

Anyway that was it for another 'not much going on' Day, will Sunday be any more Interesting? I doubt it

~ New Christmas Tree Pepper in AeroGarden 5 ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Friday, another Cool Morning and Warm Afternoon, Winter has been postponed again
The Weather man says no first Freeze now util the 18th of the Month... More growing time
Nothing left out back now except one Tomato I saw on Thursday, some tiny Cucumbers and Peppers
Some of the Flowers out fromt are backing off, a few depotted but most still going
So at least another Week or so of a long lasting Autumn

I saw one new Pepper Plant pop up on Thursday in Aerogarden 5, now watching Four Gardens for new Plants
Two in the Kitchen with Lettuce Seeds, Garden 4 in Living Room with Micro Tomatoes
And that Aerogarden 5 above with One popped up Pepper showing now

Another Windows 10 Insider Update... Turned on the Computer... said 'Restart Required'
So I got that started and all Three Desktops were updated before 7 a.m. That left the Laptop to do

Then again off to chase my Lottos, hut three different Places, won some fair ones
I was ahead for a bit but then some losers and then a small loss for the Day... wait til Tomorrow

And... I wish someone would tell me to stop cooking so much excess stuff, but I love to cook
I still have Three large Smoked Chicken Leg Quarters in the Freezer... but I saw thia Recipe on Facebook
And I love to experiment too, it was for 'Beer Can Chicken' cooked in the Crock Pot
I have done 'Beer Can Chicken' out on the Grill and in my Smoker and it turned out pretty Tasty
So I wanted to try this one, off to the Price Chopper for a whole Chicken, prepped and into the Pot
Easy enough, they say make Four Foil balls, put them in the Pot to support the Chicken
Pour in the Beer, dust the Chicken with Seasonings and Spices and lay it on top of the balls
Set the Timer on High for 4 to 6 Hours and go watch TV... And I mixed a Margarita then did just that

~ Crock Pot Beer Can Chicken ~ Before and After ~

The Chicken went in the Pot at 2 p.m. That meant it would be done at 8 p.m. Too late for my Dinnertime
So on to the usual afternoon, Cocktail, TV and later some tasty 'Warm-Ups' for Dinner
Then at 8 p.m. about my usual Bedtime I headed out to the Kitchen to check the Chicken
The 'Cook' light was off... the 'Stay Warm' light was on, all done... well actually way done

I got out a big Pyrex Dish to unload it, talk about things 'Falling off the Bone'... That thing fell all apart
Bones fell out of the Legs and Thighs, the Breast fell apart into Two Halves, overdone maybe?
Anyway it smelled luscious and looked Tasty and I think it will be great for Sandwiches and other things
I didn't give it a taste test, I just wrapped it up and into the Fridge, will try it later Saturday
Thinking some of that 'Pulled Chicken' on a Big Kaiser Roll with some Cole Slaw on the side, that should work

Now let's see what's happening on another 52 Degree Morning and a 70 Degree Afternoon on Saturday

~ Another Pay Day ~ SS is in the Bank ~
~ One more small Harvest Out Back ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ One nice big Green Pepper ~ Three more to Grind Up ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

An early start for Thursday, woke up at 3 a.m. Couldn't get back to sleep so got up at 4 a.m.
So I mixed my Juice, put the Coffee on, checked the Bank, checked my Mail, checked Facebook
Finished up my Blog, Posted that to Facebook and then what? Gonna be another long Day looked like
So I then headed out to the Minit Mart to try my luck at 7 a.m. Still dark out there
I don't like to drive at night anymore, my night vision isn't all that great now, but... anyway

So... heading up Bell Road, a narrow two lane Road, no Sidewalks and some IDIOTS walk 'with' Traffic
I was tooling along nicely but then right in front of me, someone in dark clothes out on the Road
And walking 'with' traffic istead of 'against' traffic as they taught us in Grade School long ago
I saw him just in time, swerved and missed him by maybe two feet... We were both so lucky that time!

Maybe that will wake him up? No, he will just cuss at the Driver, who of course was in the wrong
I walk up that Road sometimes, rarely now, I did just on Tuesday this Week to go get the Mercedes
But I ALWAYS.. walk 'against' traffic and when I see a car coming I step off the Road, give them plenty of room

Anyway got to the Minit Mart, rather calm considering the near miss, headed in to trade in $20 worth of Winners
I got $20 more of new tries, back home to scratch off only $15 that time... Had a Cup of Coffee
Waited for Daylight and headed down to the Fast Drop to trade, no go, lost $20
Nice Sun and 60 plus Degrees at 11.a.m. decided to check out back again after the Monsoon
Yeah, you could tell back there we did have a lot of Rain, on to check the Garden Beds
Surprize, a tny red Tomato, and a dinky Cucumber and the last Cantaloupe that didn't ripen
The Cantaloupe Vines are all dead now, will clean them out later when the ground dries up some
Then I spotted a nice Green Pepper, then a Smaller one and two tiny ones, more to grind up for later

~ Almost the last Cucumber ~ Last Tomato?, No, Saw One more Out Back ~ Last Cantaloupe and didn't Ripen ~

Into the Afternoon, what for the rest of the Day? Well I wrote this much on Thursday, now Friday and I can't remember
Getting old I guess, they will have to put me away pretty soon... Maybe I have a few Days left
Oh I do remember setting one of my Clocks, a replica old time 'Station Clock' it had gained a minute the last couple years
I thought I should change the Battery and I did that and reset to Standard Time, I don't change that one to DST

What else? Well, lemmee see, I did make some Cole Slaw, added Celery and Green Pepper to the Cabbage
And changed the Dressing a little. I tried some Hidden Valley Slaw Dressing last time, kinda bland
This time I used some of that, added a little Mustard, Spin Blend and a touch of Malt Vinegar... much tastier!

Then for Dinner, some of that last Smoked Chcken and boiled Potato with Butter and Onion... very good!
I think that was just about it for the Evening, off to bed just a little earlier than I should have

~ Cloudy Morning then a Stormy Day ~
~ My Satellite TV Didn't like a Heavy Rainstorm ~

~ The Rain Pouring at 3 p.m. Wednesday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Wednesday Morning, Cloudy but warm and the Weatherman saying T-Storms, OK whatever, no outside plans much
Headed off to the Fast Stop first, had some chat with a Customer and the Clerk and got my Lottos
They didn't have a couple of the Lottos I wanted so I stopped in at the Price Chopper for those
I won a couple small ones so I took those back to the Minit Mart to trade and just got more Duds back

And then the only Outside stuff to be done, I thought a few Plants in front needed some Watering
Won't need much Water from now on though, that first Freeze will be on the way next Week they say
So I hooked up the Hose, watered everything that I thought needed it including filling my little Fountain
The Freeze will soon stop that too... Then when everything was looking good, it started to sprinkle, then some Thunder
Oh well, isn't that the case sometimes... Water everything good and then the Rains come

And other than the unneeded Watering I didn't do much else all the rest of the Day
Late afternoon it looked like the weather was clearing, watching the Weather on TV, Mike said it was all over
But on the Map it showed Storms approaching Parkville from the Southwest... and not long after they got here
And it had really poured down earlier and it started all over agan, T-Booms and torrential Rain!

Then my TV started pixelating, then stopped, then a screen came on saying why... Satellite lost it's signal
TV was back on, then started again, worse... then went black.... Hah! I have heard of that problem with satelite TV
I mentioned to that to the Technician who Installed my System, he said they had pretty well taken care of that
Well it sure didn't look like it on Wednesday night... But my Smart TV has all kinds of Internet stuff I can watch
So I just switched to Netflix and watched that until bed time, the Rain finally stopped and the TV did come back on

And that was it for a sure not much going on Wednesday... on to Thursday and I see my SS Check hit the bank... Rich for a Day

~ A New Month? Let's get Started ~
~ Got my Mercedes Licensed and Titled ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ A new Crop of Lettuce Started Tuesday ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well I didn't quite write all trivia that finished up the Day on Monday, that last Spiel was getting too long
And not a lot to add except the Mercedes Inspection Saga... I was waiting for a call to come and get it
I didn't want to hike back up those Hills so I called Pat for a ride, if and when, she said OK
So they hadn't called by 4 p.m. and I had the Idea of getting some big Buns and Hamburger for Dinner
So I headed back to the Price Chopper in the Blazer... Found their Ground Beef on Sale for Cheap!
Bought a big pack and some Bakery Baked Kaiser Rolls and headed back Home, saw the Mercedes outside the Shop
So I stopped in to check, nope, they hadn't done it yet, just moved it out of the way
The guy said they had gotten really busy but would get to it first thing on Tuesday, so that was pending

Was having some really interesting Dreams through the night but woke up about 1 a.m. with leg cramps
Only way to stop them is to get up and walk a little, I did that, but wasn't sleepy enough to go back to bed
So, fired up the Computer, I checked my Bank for good news, and they had some, my Pay Check was there...
Then decided then to enter some more loser Lottos, I had a lot of unentered Tickets left over
I had reached my Monthly limit of 5,000 points so I had some backup... Quite a stack of them
It was the First of the Month so I could start entering them again, worked at that for awhile, now have over 13,000 Points

I finished up Monday's Blog and uploaded that, then worked my Crossword, finally getting a little sleepy
I went back to bed for another Nap and then woke up a little after 5 a.m. This time getting up for the Day

So, Juice and Coffee and this and that, not much left to do after my early start, but what about those Kitchen Gardens?
I had pulled the too tall Tomato Plants out of AeroGarden 1 and 3, might as well start some there again
So I took the Pods out, cleaned them out, refilled with new Spagnum and planted Lettuce Seeds in Four Pods
Then plugged in the Gardens and now a new Crop of Lettuce (maybe?) on the way again

Ok, sun up and warming, I went out to install my Solar Lights on my little Spruce trees, that went easy enough
And then whiling away the rest of that Sunny Morning, I got a call from the guy saying my Mercedes was ready to go
I headed up there in my Blazer to get the Inspection Certificate and the rest of the Papers I needed
Then headed over to the License Bureau to try for my Title and License Plates, Aha! No crowd for a change
And I handed the Lady all my Papers, I had all that were required and all was accepted... Great

Then back Home with my new Title and Plates, just needed to go get the Mercedes a mile up and down the Hills
And I was still tired and sore from the walk back the Day before, didn't want to try that again yet
My friend Pat said she would take me when she got off work but I wanted to get started earlier and so...
So I thought of an easier way, drove my Blazer up the steep hill in front here, then down the steepest hill on the way
Just about half way there, parked in a lot there, then walked up the steepest uphill on the way there
That wasn't so bad, got there, picked up the Mercedes and drove all the way back home to put on the new Plates

~ The Way to the Inspection Shop ~

Now just needed to go get the Blazer... Rested up some then started out and drove the Mercedes up the Hill in front
Parked it in front of the Office, then started up the modest hills and then down that steepest hill to the Blazer
Drove the Blazer back home, most of the Mission accomplshed and not in quite such a difficult way as the last time

On to the rest of the afternoon and evening, TV and Dinner and when it got dark the Christmas Tree Lights came on
So I went out to get a Photo, at the end of my First Day of my 55 Days of Christmas, it's early but they look nice

~ Solar Lights on my Dwarf Spruce Trees ~

Now today, all I have to do is walk back up that Steep hill out in front, pick up the Mercedes at the Office
Go get some new Lottos and see what else is in store for the Second Day of November

~ October... Going... Going... ~
~ And Halloween Too ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ Micro Tomato Plants too tall for the Grow Lights ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Well now, the Month of October is leaving on a Summer Day, they are saying 83 Degrees for the Day!
And it has been a warmer that usual October, we normally get a Freeze before now, but that's OK with me
Just about everything outside has been harvested, one little Cantaloupe and some tiny Cukes still out back
Most of the Flowers are still looking good out front, a few fading Plants have been dumped so far
But like the Monkey said when he backed into the Lawnmower... "It won't be long now"

And so, the inside Gardens are mostly doing OK... Picked the last Lettuce out of AeroGarden 5
Now just waiting for a the Two 'Christmas Tree' Pepper plants I planted in that one
But the Micro Tomatoes didn't do so good in the Three Pod AeroGardens in the Kitchen

The 'Mighty Mini' Tomatoes Plants I tried in them first did OK... sort of, but the 'Micro-Tomatoes' are too tall
The Grow lights are at their Maximun height and the Tomato Plants are already taller than the lights
So I decided to clip the Tomato Plants and plant something else, seems that Herbs are the best choice for those small Gardens

First thing, I did clip those Tomato plants... now what? Just might go ahead and plant some Lettuce there
I have some Seeds and I think I can clip the Lettuce as it approaches the Lights... if and when
And then off to the Minit Mart, got my $20 worth of Lottos, won $25 back, then a stop at Walgreems

Another late Breakfast and then I thought I would take the Mercedes up to get an Inspection Appointment
Stopped in the Price Chopper first to trade in my $25 win for more Tickets... then next Door to the Shop
And the guy there said if I could leave it they would try to get it done later in the Day
That would leave me with the option of walking that Mile back home but I left it anyway
So then, first down the Hill, not bad at all, then up that next steep Hill... what you kidding!
Well I had to stop and rest but I made it, then down the next easy Hill... but the big steep hill was waiting
OK, I made that one too, and the rest of the way wasn't so bad at all but sure glad to see that last downhill to Home
And for all my efforts... I scratched off Two $5s and One $25 Win... $60 for the Day!

Nothing going on so I decided to run down to the Fast Stop to trade for more Lottos
This time I got back to scratch off another $25... Then back to the Minit Mart for more
Traded in my $25, got $20 more Tickets and this time I only won back $15... time to quit?
Well that was a $5, $5, $5, $5, $10, $10, $15, $20 and $25 Win... Lot of fun trying
Didn't keep track of the Math, don't think I made much if any Profit... but SOMEDAY!

And such a nice Day out there, took a walk out back... I saw some small Poblano Peppers
Still growing on the Plant I started indoors in the AeroGarden and set out later in the Tomato bed
For sure I'll keep an eye on those before Frost... And found a few more tiny Cucumbers
To small to use? HAH! I'll make Pickles out of them... Gherkins maybe?

~ More Cucumbers Monday ~ And still some tiny Ones on the Vines ~

Yeah... Pickles... I rinsed the Cucumbers really well, I had some prepared Brine in the Fridge
So I poured the Brine in the Pot, put the Pot on to boil, put the Cucumbers in the Pot
Then rinsed out the Jar with hot Water, when the Brine boiled, into the Jar with the Cukes then the Brine WAH LAH!

Well then, that was pretty much the Pre-Halloween Day and I don't do Halloween Night
I wrapped up the Day with a big Burger on a Kaiser Roll with some more Cole Slaw and Chips
And then the usual finale, more TV and then off to bed to dream and dream some more
